Well there were several rebel missions that would get unlocked as a result of you beating the first book, actually what would happen is after you beat the book, you would unlock the 1st secret mission and beating that would unlock the second and so forth, but I'd prefer you focus on making missions for the forces of the alliance rather than the rebels atleast at this point

Ok how about this: A misson where you are up against Eliver's forces, however since Eliver's abilities are very strong in this magic-filled place you have to construct special towers at certain locations to disrupt his powers, and after you build these towers you can attack his main base directly

wow man. thats weak
let me show you how its done

Dioneve raises an entire army of abominations against your hero and a few units after which you have to salvage a destroyed base, when this is done you have to face off against hordes of her warriors, in doing so she destroys much of your army, and when you go confront her with your heroes she raises your army against you, you win the mission when you beat your former army

Not bad, but it wasn't what I was looking for, I understand that everyone here for some reason thinks that all Dioneve does is raise the fallen, although she is a good villain she works mostly behind the scenes, and I will give you guys more villains to play with soon

Dioneve is fine, but you'll only have to face her personally only twice (so far) in the campaign, and those two incounters are already set a certain way, Just make chapters where you have to face other characters, I send you the character chart I believe, if you for some reason have lost it tell me and I'll send it to you again

Simple: Dioneve Sends Sir Edorus (from arkain) after one of your heroes (lol) and its up to you to keep the hero alive, Sir Edorus will become invisinble and blink away once over 85% of his hp has been depleted

Idk, I had the beta files saved somewhere before. I know we don't have the updated version because Blake's pc crash, but we should have older versions somewhere, although they may be super outdated

I've had more detailed bios on certain characters, but they would spoil a lot

I can expand on the influences behind the characters

For instance Eliver the Diviner was originally a minor character, but due to the nature of his power he gotten a much bigger role in the story.
Originally he was just a mage called Eliver who would just get in your way when you would try to fight the rebels, then when I began looking for a title to give him, so I came up with the title "the diviner" this actually a random idea that came into my head because his original ultimate was starfall. From there I began getting ideas that maybe I could make him be a clairvoyant or something similar (somewhat like Yuri from red alert 2) so then I began working on his ability set and gave him far sight and true sight ... Basically he was to play a Major part in the story from there on.

Lord Peradale was always a big character, not sure how exactly I came about with creating him, but he was always designed to be a bit mysterious, I can't really go into much detail or the story would get completely spoiled

One thing I can say is that there was originally plans for a Dreadlord character, but these were scrapped because it was just too inconsistent with the rest of the story.
He was supposed to be called Neresidde, and had the title of Soul Reaver (the bar that says dreadlord would've been replaced by "soul reaver") He would have this particular spell where he was able to cast "curse" on a unit (similar to shadow strike) but if the effected unit is destroyed it's soul would become controlled by the dreadlord, basically the dreadlord would control a transparent copy of the unit for 90 seconds or so, but the mechanic was flawed so it would glitch.

Lord Noren lacks a real backstory at this point, as he was simply introduced because Etrious was too weak a paladin to handle the mission himself

Master Yanes' character is based on someone I knew, he is one of the most wisest and talented (but a bit old) mages in the Kingdom of Silventria, as well as an acting adviser to the queen. He is in charge of training Etrious as well as other young cadets to become great soldiers of Silventria. He is very skilled in the art of Aeromancy (wind magic) and is greatly respected for both his abilities and his character. (Originally he was supposed to be a paladin but it seemed to me that it would be much better to make him an Archmage instead due to both his abilities as well as his character.)

Idk I still got a lot to do regarding the bios and things....

Blake, you should make a character called Lord Rasler, who will be a traitor like Genethas in the Arkain books, you know what I'm talking about

'nother character you should add is the....Spirit of Darkness.... @San I summon thee....

Character profile for Lord Rasler:

Lord Rasler was once a lowly captain in Milrein's army who along with several others has managed to oust the rebels in its ??? region, since then Rasler has been put in charge of the region as well as extracting magics from ancient ruines found within it. Lord Rasler is well liked for his accomplishments by his peers however the general populace remains very skeptical of his research.

Ok here's a Dioneve Bio from what Blake said:

Dioneve, also known as Dioneve the Vile is a powerful necromancer who serves as one of the generals of the Rebel forces. She is feared by enemies and allies alike for her hateful and unpredictable personality as well as her dark abilities. During one of the first conflicts it was rumored that she raised a whole company of soldiers to fight their formal comrades and that she tore apart subordinates who refused to dig up cemeteries for corpses used to bolster her dark armies.

How's this?

Pretty good, you know Blake always wanted to make a character who was based on Nara the Shadowpath from Wanderers of Sorceria, I wonder if he thought about that much, or maybe he already has a character like that which he simply does not want to share with us.

Ye, she's the one who constantly stalks Hokuto the whole series, I didn't really get what her purpose was in the first couple of books though...but then it was explained in the core...

She is a warlock I kinda wished she had more screen time as a character, would've made wos a bit better I guess...

When I played wos some time ago, (a long time ago now) Nara really lacked any backstory, all I remember was that she appeared in several places in book 1 like you had to fight her in the secret mission where you had to rescue Tanya, and then in book 2 I believe you encountered her in the showdown level where you had to ascend the tower to face Shyron in the Cauldron on the top (very memorable level) and yes she did fight alongside Arcadia in book 2. She would just appear in certain places and not much was explained about her, but seeing as how she had some sort of role and even fought next to Arcadia I thought why not have a similar character, had some plans actually but I don't know where the files went.

We can make him a good character, Lord Rasler, Lord Haldan or else, give him a good backstory, etc. make you think hes an ally then have him come in and fight for the rebels

Hmm....for ideal abilities give him stuff that'll allow him to stay alive longer, for instance resurrection as an ultimate, and that ability that increases armor with every level, that way he can be as bit of a nousanace as the he was on here

No...Im simply stating there is a large number of custom abilities that you could use instead of standard wc3 ones, also depending on how you want him to turn out you should pick the abilities apporpriately

you want him to be hard to destroy > give him abilities that buff his hp, armor, hardened armor, advanced attribute bonus, various skills abilites, etc.

want him to be a strong attacker > Combat Master, bash, pulverize, Chaos strike, etc. Look at Lord Noren, Garithos hero, ask @Colonel Aster he'll probably give you some good advice

I would suggest balancing it out though, don't focus on one aspect way too much otherwise other aspects will get neglected, you dont want a hero whos really strong but has no effective attacks to use, or who has attacks but cannot defend himself properly

@Blake8 Garthios has the pig summon, a flare ability and war stop, those are not powerful attacks at all, Soul siphon is the only powerful ability he has and its basically a 3 level vamp potion

@Colonel Aster I agree, what about bash

Try making him with these abilities:

Rain of Fire
Energy Bolt - 100/225/350 damage + stun
Arcane Armor - Reduces spells, magic & piercing by 5/10/15
Chaos Spark or Transmute or Doom

If you want him to be a real pain in the ass add Self heal instead of Energy bolt, this will allow the hero to heal himself by 600 about 3 times a minutes, what more do I need to say
