Simple Model Workshop

Hello. If it's not too much of a problem, I would like a Militia model without the shield and with a Footman's sword instead of an axe (I think it's an axe). Thanks in advance!
Done. I also added one more attack animation.
Admiral Proudmoore weaponless model please?
Here you go. I made two versions, one with team glow where the sword should be, and one without it, so if you plan to attach a custom sword, you will see if it looks good with the team glow or not. Also, thanks to Edge45 for adding the hat to Proudmoore's portrait (included in the Pastebin link).

Hey! I saw the Militia w/ sword request in my email and it looked so easy that I jumped on it, timed myself and had it done in 15 minutes between classes. But... Apathetic beat me to it! Great to see this place looking so lively!

If you want the one I made (nearly identical) I'll attach it. The only significant difference seems to be that this other one has Peasant animations applied to its right arm, so that he scratches his head in Stand - 4 and in general animates like he doesn't have the shield. Lacks the cool 3rd attack animation Apathetic added, though.

I gotta get on here more often! Might've avoided repeated work if I was paying better attention.

Edit: Guys how about I write the "weaponless-in-8-or", a program that deletes the weapon from any MDX/MDL? Seems like that could save people time.

Oh good. The king has returned. :P

I wouldn't bother with such a program unless it's exceedingly easy to create; the existing tools (including & especially yours) work exceedingly well for the task (and plenty of tutorials offer this exact thing (de-weaponizing) as their example), and you have more than enough stuff to do (both IRL, and... well... the list so far? *cough* :P). But either way, it'd certainly be well-used.

Okay, couldn't help myself. I just wrote the "weaponless-in-8-or", currently titled Disarm inside the program. What do you guys think?

I had way too much fun making this; tomorrow I'm going to wish I'd done the three math assignments I haven't started yet that are due Wednesday.

(Unfortunately, it currently has the entire Matrix Eater software embedded inside of it to make it run, because I was too lazy to write any new code when I had all of that stuff already written. This does make its file-size a little unnecessarily large.)

That could save a lot of time for some people, another extremely useful program!(+Rep)
Matrix eater is the best, with the help of Mdlvis and Magos, it's like super tool
Indeed, indescribably great tool!

Thanks you guys for your praise of the program!

I just added a "Recent" menu and the ability to open MDX files to my work in progress of the Matrix Eater version this morning. I'll probably release it on the matrix eater page in the next couple of days.

I also updated the first page with the old request list for those people who want to help them.
As I've said (a few times), you may want to take a look at cleaning up that list. At least for myself personally, my Request has been beautifully handled by Retera, and I know for a fact that a few others have been as well (Irollan Druid, Theron Grenadier, etc). : )

Can i have a Arthas (Athas illenden fight cineimatic, evil) base without any animations?
I removed everything except Arthas, and the bones that he uses. I removed all animations, but note that the model is invisible in game without at least one "Stand" animation.
Too bad...
Can you then please do the static one so I see how that'll work?
The effect is already static, it just constantly switches visibility(off-on).
So you guys edit existing models :D? https://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums...lized4-47330/?prev=search=goliath&d=list&r=20 the creator of that model has not been active for over 3 years, you dont need permission for longly inactive players. I was hoping someone can take that model and give it a stomp animation. Just make it lift its leg up and drop it back down with the cracks on the floor. :D
I tried to make a stomp animation, but it doesn't look so good. It is barely noticeable in game because I'm inexperienced in animating(this is my second animation ever created). I at least added attack sound, death sound and attachment points, so you can use the War Stomp spell and the cracked ground effect will appear.
Hhuh, finally back, atleast I can take on request again
Well, I could use some help...:asc:

thank you, cracks on the grounds are alot better than no animation at all :D
It was unnecessary to add them to the model, because they are a part of the war stomp effect itself, I only added attachment points so they will become visible when the war stomp effect is used.
EDIT: If you want, I could also add those burning effects that appear when the unit has low hit points, like all Wacraft 3 mechanical units.

can i have weaponless and shield less skeleton?

I updated disarm so that it can create this model for you instantly. There is a "Remove Component" dropdown, and you type in "sword, shield" and it literally detects and deletes both instantly.

Very busy. Will post it this evening.

Okay, I've been working on an experimental version of disarm where you can, for example, go to "Edit > Remove Component > type in 'head' " then go to "Add From > Unit > Rifleman", type in that you want to extract the "head", push "no" on an extra option, type "head" again, and then make a dwarf-headed paladin.

I just used an online stopwatch. I created the attached Rifladin model (as described above) in 37 seconds. Also created a skeleton with no sword and no shield in 23 seconds, just for kicks. And a disarmed skeletal mage in 22 seconds. I guess that makes 3 models in slightly over a minute. (note that this time includes getting the file all the way to a saved and usable MDX!)

You guys should really try this thing out!

Edit: Fixed a critical issue where MDX files that you saved were all deleted every time you closed the program.

Interesting! This might be just the tool I needed for an experimental weapon-removal/replacement on jigrael's beautiful Jungle Troll Ravager. Thanks!

//EDIT// - Couldn't find my directory, and now neither running it normally nor through Administrator lets it get past it's initial 'freak-out'. :<

The quick and dirty fix for the problem where it can't open, if it's really true that nothing else works, would be to delete this file on your computer:
"<your user name directory>\AppData\Roaming\Disarm\user.profile" and then Disarm will forget you ever opened it before on your machine.

Perhaps I should make some kind of installer that can set it up without crashing.

(Edit: Which particular freak-out message was it giving you?)

Hey guys I feel your pain with Disarm, if you see the tutorial video it even broke for me. Soo.... I think I fixed it!

Try out this version, I used a different library for loading game files!

Edit: Fixed a few typos
