In a daring campaign against the Scourge in Northrend, Illidan faced off against the death
knight Arthas in an attempt to destroy the Frozen Throne. However, Arthas defeated Illidan and left him
wounded in the snow, allowing Illidan to witness the creation of the new Lich King.

Kael'thas Sunstrider and Lady Vashj, realising their defeat, brought Illidan with them as they fled back to
Outland. Seeing their master's ugly wounds, they decide to bring him back to the Hellfire Citadel so that
he may recover... but, unbeknownst to them, Outland was in a state of a minor civil war.

Soon after that, tensions rise in the blood elven society as the Grand Magistrix Alessandra Katryne
proposes a dangerous idea: reclamation of their homeland, Quel'Thalas.

I eventually got it XD

Didn't realize at first you can take the orange base with just your heroes.

Taking the purple base was exhausting, there's no other words for it =_=

I basically resorted to just sieging them. The Draenei and I just stayed at their entrance, killing their soldiers as they came.

I love how you used WoW lines for the final battle :)

Is that how the final battle plays out in Burning Crusade? That was intense @.@

^ You think it's possible there's just too much to deal with on that map? Purple pretty much never stops churning units out and it's hard to deal with orange's base while you're getting hammered by both purple and green at the same time.

Yeah it's really easy. Make a few priests, and meat units like swordsman and breakers and some archers to deal with the phoenixes. Dont even bother with blood knights. Tech as quick as possible, get upgrades, get a ton of peasants for wood (8) plus wood upgrade. Build three of the air buildings, start pumping. Once you take out the base to the north its gg for purp. If you time it right you should have 3-6 phoenixes by the time the third gate opens.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I did. I sent my heroes up to take the town hall and all the units at orange while I pumped out footies, breakers, archers and two or three priests at my main base, then eventually I sent some of them up to help the heroes clear orange quicker. Once that was done I just stuck around 'til the Draenei set up and then it was gg, basically.

Out of curiosity, the Blood Knights were supposed to be the Tier 3 melee units in this mode, right? Hawkies aren't as durable, and Golems are too pricey in food.

Overall, I really liked the work in the custom Blood Elf race in this campaign. It was very well crafted :) Phoenixes were probably the closest thing to being outright op, but you don't get them 'til near the end.

Hey, tomoraider ! I just played your map and it was awesome. Except some facts... Chapter Five was not easy to do...the first 25 or 30 minutes you have to protect Kael and Alessandra and all those because Wretched and Dar'Khan's Forces are coming ALL THE TIME ! It's hard to do that part. And as well you've made some areas difficult to get through...for example an area situated between two walls or so...it's just a very small place to make your units walk through. Anyway, you did a good job so... keep it up  Hope you release Shadow of Blood soon.

Thanks, and yeah, Chapter Five is one of the harder chapters.

The start's pretty rough, yeah. You gotta get towers going fast. Arcane Towers are still really good against most attacks because the enemy never uses Meat Wagons. Once you've got your defenses up it gets much easier :)

As for the ending, could you possible make a wider way to get into the main undead base? That choke point is really hard to get units through, especially because the main half of the base is on higher ground.

Edit: I've found a... weird glitch. I was goofing around, seeing what would happen if you fail the optional quest in chapter 3, and Aewynn's vocals got mixed up with a lot of Thrall's. No idea how it happened.

I've been meaning to do this for a while, but I'm only now getting around to it. Thought I'd give my thoughts on the chapters through the campaign :)

1: It's a good chapter for easing into the campaign. Nothing overly challenging but you can lose if you just goof around. The fact that Illidan got stuck in a cage makes me lol.

2: In retrospect I really like this chapter. At first it felt like filler, but controlling Kael and Vashj and their respective forces gave it a very Frozen Throne Alliance campaign kinda feel that further helps to ease you into it. The Fel orcs are a little too tough for the Blood Elves to handle unless you're good at using them, but the Naga with all their overpoweredness makes up for it.

3: Really nice stealth-esque mission. A lot of the early difficulty just depends on how many times Liadrin comes to harass you because she is nails until Aewynne and Alessandra level up a bit. What happens if you fail the bonus mission? I once did it on purpose but I didn't see anything happen.

4: It introduces Lor'Themar and the Golems so it's important. Otherwise, it's just a standard base-building mission. Towering up the north entrance to Aewynne's base really just turns off any difficulty thanks to the enemy never using Meat Wagons. Attacking the green base was really hard for some reason.

5: Pretty intense opening, but getting 3 heroes afterward is a huge power spike for your team. Attacking green is a massive pain thanks to the choke point AND high ground advantage.

6: Nice that the Forsaken are competent without taking all the difficulty away from you. They cleared the yellow base about the same time as I handled green. Having 5 heroes to work with is a HUGE advantage. Possibly too huge.

7: Best map I've ever see. Period. No fan map or Blizzard map was as well-designed as this one. The music, the poor lighting, the just inherent wrongness of everything rocked.

8: Honestly I think you should have swapped this chapter around in place of 7. Chapter 7 was the real climax of the Silvermoon arc, this story is just a big fight taking place at the same time. Still, it's a very intense hold-the-line mission, though the Forsaken's main base is easy to defend just by massive dreadguards and towers.

9: The opening is very tense and well-done. Watching the Blood Elves drain those demons is unnerving. It's a nice contrast from how the demons in chapter 3 could give you trouble but they're a nuisance even with a small group here; it kinda shows how the Blood Elves have basically taken over Outland.

10: Constant Phoenix harassment from one of the two enemies was very annoying, but not overwhelming. I've seen worse; one map I played spawns 3 Gryphon Riders and throws them at you every half minute. That doesn't sound like much but the constant CONSTANT Gryphon harassment gets VERY annoying and makes getting an expansion difficult. Illidan's forces were a little too hardcore XD They did more damage to the final base than I did.

11: Very nice finale. The opening part makes the chapter look like a dungeon crawler but then it suddenly becomes a base-building mission. The Draenei are very competent once they get setup and they actually saved me during the final battle (their hero came and used his ult, buying me more time). The final battle is very tense, I was sweating it the whole time, hoping I'd last long enough to win.

Thanks, and Aewynne's vocals got mixed up because you probably loaded another map before Rise of the Blood Elves and her voice set actually overwrites Thrall's so it got mixed up that way.

And in Chapter Three, if you fail the side quest, Kael's attacks at the end where you defend Alessandra are just a little harder.

There is no need to write in those big letters. Especially comic sans. Anyway, yes, Anveena can only heal. And just follow what the quest tells you. Go left, then when you see you can't, follow the path on the right. There is only one path.

I just finished Blood elf campainge for 3th time and I would like to give my review. Hope you like it if you time reading it.

Army:
I really love it. I really love that evolution. It's not like *BOOM* new race. You eventually trough out camapinge get to a new race, just like Blizzard did in RotC. Heroes are very good and original. However I would like to say something about specific units.
Ranger-Great unit. Not so flexible as NE archer, but has it's on role. Dark ranger, BE ranger, Rifleman, Troll Headhunter are all really balanced.
Hawkstrider knight- I don't know why people hate that unit, but I find it really good. However, I think you should change it to be avaible in HQ lvl 2(without animal training, not HQ lvl 3(when animal training should be avaiable) coz they are equal to Orcish raider(both are good spearheads).
Blood Knight- equal to knights, Abominations and Druid of the Claw. However, Unlike those units, you have to learn how to use their spells effective, or they can be easily lost. Truly great unit. However, I don't know how their healing abillity is powerful compare to Paladin Holy light.
Sorceress- good unit like Human sorceress, however, I think you should switch spells (illusion-adept, Arcane torrent-master)
Arcane golems- Truly ultimate unit, like Tauren, Frost Dragon, Gryphon, NE dragon. With right use, it can be killing machine. So good that it should have it's own building production.
Phonex- I don't like it at all. It's way OP. Kinda lowered quilty of army, coz in last mission you only needed that unit, but in seige of Teamepest keep, it had sense storywise to use it.

Chapters:
You can make intro Sorrowfall- story of Alessandra and how Keal and Vashj saved Illidan
Chapter 1- Nice level. I really love the contrast you are going to make trough out camapinge. Here outland is wild and desolated. However, I would like that you add some raiding parties who attack illidan cage from behind. Nothing to be challenging, just to look out for him.
Chapter 2- Really great mission. I love the part where you need to ally with orcish clans. However, why don't you rename orcish clans lore friendly (burning blade, Shadowmoon, Dragonmaw, Tunderlord). You can make those clans to be specialized (shadowmoon have warlocks, Burning blade oustanding hero, dragonmaw, flying units, tunderlord catapults)
Chapter 3- Great mission. Now Blood Elves have their own keep, but still they are not complatly safe. If you want for the story, you can mention in interlude that Alessandra sent her magister Rommath to teach her people how to drain magic. Also it would be good touch to see, while you defend Alessandra, that lady Linath comes in last min and she and Ayewin fight and talk about draining of M'uru showing how Blood knights and Farstreeders don't like each other.
Chapter 4- nothing special. Nice standard map and fun, but nothing big to talk about except you meet awesome Lor'themar
Chapter 5- I don't know what people are talking about. It's not that hard. It requires little more awerness and that's it. Arcane golems are awesome
Chapter 6- One of the best maps. I really love that map and Vangance landing is awesome :).
Chapter 7- Really love that one. Atmosphere is great and part with the tourch is nice idea.
Chapter 8- Mission like "time to see what you're made off. You operate both armies which is in my opinion best of the best.
Chapter 9- Now Blood Elves are true masters. I really love that touch, how demons are enslaved(something other races can't even imagine doing it). Also you showed well how Keal'thas lost himself in his thirst for magic. When chaos erupted, It was like "RUUUUNN!!!" It would be good that you added shouts like "Traitor!", "Who am I fighting?", "Power-hunger monster!", "Bow down before the Sun King" or some maniacal laughter.
Chapter 10- Very challenging which is nice. You showed how phonex were key to win the battle, which nice thing.
Chapter 11- Didn't like it that much. Dungeon crawling was ok, but when real fight started, I got almost overrun. Phonex were way to powerful both mine and enemy. I had to use whosyourdaddy until I destroy orange base, coz purple was to powerfull in any way possible, until ofc I got at least 2-3 phonex bird. Kil'jaden wasn't that much challenging compare to Blood queen, Anub'arak, Lich King, Thecondrious, etc. coz of again Phonex. But that didn't ruin this mission, I still had great fun playing it

Bugs:
1. For some reason, Stop command dosen't work. Every time I used it, to stop attacking my units, ignored that command, making Ranger general's invissible spell useless. I checked this out, it dosen't work only in this camapinge (costum games for fine).
2. I'm not sure if it's bug, but Warlcok's spell aerial shackles works on mehanical units, like Arcane golems, Captault's and ships. I think it's a little OP, but I can simply choose not to do it.

Overall, I think your whole project is great. I would honestly like to hear your opinion, but I will understand if you don't want to read it. I'm just glade someone made this awesome projects. :)

This way too late but splitting the Blood Elves into two subfactions would have been nice.
The Farstriders and the Blood Knight, allowing the player to choose one of the factions for each mission would have allowed far greater replayability.

Too late now anyway. :D

Please, do not. I'd like to play as the Magisters then.

Uf...Now that i am done whith the camping i am gonna give you a review on it.

Terrain:+5/5 I usually don't put alot of emphasis on the terrain but you have done an outstanding job whith it.
Custom unites/heros:+4.5/5 You did some work whith the blood elf unites you just dident leave them whith their standart kit.The skins you used on them are okay, the new unites blood knights are okay and come whith a unique voice :thumbs_up: .The reason why i dident give a full 5 it's due to the heros skill sets i will explain that later on.
Plot:+5/5 well the more i got into the game more i enjoyed the plot untill the point when Kil'jaeden claims he will surpass Sargeres itself...I was like wow...How do you surpass a Titan :eekani:
Gameplay:+5/5 a standart and simple WC3 gameplay and thats what i like, after all thats why i am here to enjoy this game

Things that Impressed me the most

Well i dont know where to start...Amazing terrain work, featuring cool sondtracks,Custom models,Well thought plot,Voice acting, amazing cinematics you have the full package

Things that IMO need improvement

The only thing that needs improvement imo are the hero skill sets especially
Lor'themar he is a battelmage,in the lore the battelmages were fighters skilled both in magic arts and on physical combat .His skill set is full of spells which imo it is not fitting for his role
Alessandra well i understand that you tryed to put a cool combination between her passive and her AS steroid, thats really cool but not into a warlock :p.Her ulty its just meh...The voidlings are weak not to mention that half of the camping you fight Undeads who can use skelets on their own and the other half you fight blood elves that can dispell them.On top of that the big void creature dosent move i think you could have done better work whith her skill set

On a final note i have to really apology for the fight in one of you're threads that lead into the thread to get closed :goblin_yeah:

A few days ago after finishing this campaign I felt bad because my laptop wasn't strong enough to handle it. So I thought about replying this campaign on my PC, while looking around for the campaign I found the old Rise of the Blood Elves, the 2.0 one and this one. So out of nostalgia I'm replaying the old campaign...let's just say that you come a long way with this one Tomoraider.

Why thank you. Yeah, the old the campaign is quite bad compared to the new one.

How do Hawkstriders compare against other melee units in your opinions, everyone? It looks more like they're meant for raiding or the like rather than outright attacking.

I played this campaign through after the Curse of the Forsaken and I enjoyed it very much. It was very well made and the cutscenes were pure awesomeness. And I loved the easter egg banshee XD Looks like my constant explore the maps finally paid out (although there could have been more hidden stuff, for example in the Maar-voiced ghost's dungeon, since Kael can destroy trees with his ability. I listed a few bugs and opinions, I hope you can use them.

1. The first level has a bug when rescuing the elves if I lure the dragons away.

2. Liadrin’s heal+lifesteal power, along with my next to non-existent resources to reinforce my army makes the holdout part of level 3 impossible and I had to cheat. Less attacking force, more resources or Liadrin’s appearance’s limitation would solve this problem.

3. Kael’Thas is too quick to admit his mistake and too quick to forgive disobedience which would make him look like weak and encourage his troops to follow Alessanda’s example of disobedience.

4. 5th mission’s ending isn’t fade out.

5. It’s strange that Lor’themar knows about Sylvanas’ details while Kael, his supreme commander does not and it is also weird that while they have such information, Sylvanas knows nothing about the blood elves.

6.Despite the undead responsible for the destruction of Quel’Thalas, the elves were quick to accept undead help. Also, I find it rather awkward that Kael says to Sylvanas that „It’s nice to see you” considering Sylvanas is cursed with being undead. Something like „It’s saddening that we must meet again like this” or some other form of condolence would be appropriate.

7. Chapter six is a bit too easy. The green attacked me a few times, but mostly the purple harassed me which was easy to keep in control alone, considering I had 5 heroes. I destroyed the green base before clearing the shores for Sylvanas, using 2 squad of archers and my heroes.

8. Essential items should be indestructible, it's create a glitch if I can destroy the quest items.

9. The purple scourge had a non-wreched blood elf guarding the eastern side in chapter 6.

10. It’s a bit silly that some units use completely inappropriate lines (ex. Sylvanas’ units praise Ner’Zhul, Liadrin refers to Elune, the hawk knight makes references to dominating the skies). If you can, maybe you should delete such quote options.

11. Sludge monsters in the dungeon turn back before they reach my troops.

12. The riddle ghosts should be invulnerable until they turn hostile or they can be destroyed without retaliation.

13. After getting through the crystal door, the archers begin to attack mobs during the cutscene.

14. After putting down the crystal, it is possible to pick up immediately. I picked up with Sylvanas, so I don’t know if it can be carried through the campaign, along with the corrupted one, but I think you should prevent somehow to pick up again, like disappearing it or pause units.

15. The 10th mission is rather easy intentionally or not. I can use a hawk rider to avoid fighting the purple base altogether and get the zeppelin. Then, bringing my 4 heroes to the blue base, destroying the phoenix hero (who has no magic immunity) and town porting back brings me back quickly enough to catch up with any wave. Since the enemy has weak air defense, 5 phoenix clears out the purple base and my heroes can handle the green.

16. I read many complains about the last mission, but either you balanced it or they exaggerate it’s toughness. My heroes alone destroyed the orange base and since I carried a teleportation staff, I can stop the timer any time I want by teleporting to Anveena and bypass the freeing of Kalecgos. This can be solved by making Anveena neutral to my troops instead of friendly, I guess.

17. You should make invisible enemy inventory in gameplay constants. I always found it silly to see the enemy’s inventory and the campaigns usually had them invisible.

18. On the 11th mission, Kil'Jaedan's demons occasionally tend to stay in one place and not attacking my units, so I just have to stay and wait Kalecgos charge up his orbs.

Anyway, congratulations for such well-made campaigns, they are worthy rivals of the original ones.

Hello. One question: Do you still have the original campaign? I mean the first campaign, not the Enchanted Edition? I looked for it, but was unable to find it. Even if it's not as good as this one, i still think that it's worth plying it. I liked the tauren death night skin.

Pretty Awsome campaign!!!!!! (Wierd it isn't Directors Cut!!!!!)
There is one Small Issue: On chapter eight: War on Silvermoon Which you had to Defend silvermoon for 30 Minutes, The tooltip of Forsaken Guard Tower is : Upgrade To Guard Tower. Change it to Build Guard Tower.

otherwise, Pretty nice Campaign. Epic, fun, Long and Hard To Summarize it in words.
Deserves a Director's Cut, but I Don't have the Power to give it. so, 10/10 ----> 5/5

The terrain, storyline, events, cutscenes, characters, and models all are amazing and very professionally made! :D
But on the gameplay part the missions were not so much fun in my opinion, some of them were very very difficult but still not much fun, my base gets attacked from 2 directions, I choose to attack one base, then the enemies from the other one wreck my base. Being hard however would not be such a problem if it was a bit more fun. :p then just sitting in the base for half an hour until I get a sufficient amount of cannon towers to fend off and attack (then a Lich comes and activates Death and Decay xD). Then at one mission the pheonixes fly around and kill my workers from behind thus forcing me to create a ring of towers around my entire base :/ I then just used the invincibility cheat to wreck the enemies bases and just get as quickly as possible to the story telling part cause it's so much better :p
Btw would have been great if you'd increased the level cap for heroes to 15, then have some heroes start at higher levels (like Kael'Thas).

(text in black might be spoilers)
And in the mission where you are supposed to capture the pheonix eggs before Illidan's forces take out Kael'Thas'es main base, well Illidan's forces will never reach it no matter how long I take my time, they get near the circle and then their attacks just become inept :p Also it was very difficult to destroy that base, after I capture the phoenix eggs (which in itself is a very difficult task), I should be able to ally with the fel orcs and naga! I don't have any good spot to land on and if I land in the cleared part I will be sandwiched between two hostile forces :/
ALSO: In the chapter where you have to take the blueprints(?) for the arcane golems from the scourge mages, I have actually been to two of those spots where they reside and destroyed the undead there, but they only appear after I speak with lord Lothamar (I think I forgot his name :p) soo after finding the two other blueprints, I had no idea that I had to retourn to where I already was to find it and spent 20 minutes running around the dark corners of the map, until I finally decided to just use "iseedeadpeople" to spot them, they should have just been there from the start.
Also: the ranger archer woman hero has the voice of an orchish blademaster at the level where you must defend Silvermoon from the undead counter-attack.

Now about the storytelling:
As for the storyline part of "review" it's all very good, except at the very end of the campaign. First Alesandra's role is kinda too much, I mean the part where she appears in the end and delays the Summoning is too much in my opinion, I mean really she's cool but that should not make her a superwoman :p
Also that Blue Dragon Aspect dude, lol who the hell is he? XD his existence also begs the question why would such a powerful dude not be there when Arthas first razed Quel Thalas, and he also wasn't there when the Blood Elves fought to take Silvermoon back, but then he just appears from nowhere. Also I don't get where the Nu'ru came from, I get that it's some kind of a powerful energy source that Blood Elves found in Outland and thats about it :p
Also Kael should say something about Sylvanas being undead instead of "yo wazzup, been a while ay :p" but it's cool, no bigie.
And finally WHY were they (the Dranei) able to restore the Sunwell after Kil'Jaeden was defeated and not simply save everyone the trouble and do it when the Blood Elves recaptured Silvermoon?(umm maybe it was explained but the text went too fast and I did not get to read it? :p)
oh and Kil'Jaeden wasn't actually killed, they just screwed up the summoning proccess and he was banished back from where he came from, right? I think it would be too much (lame xD) if the Elves killed the last Demon Lord of the Burning Legion just like that.
And I thought that the Draenei were slightly mutated into the Broken and Lost Draenei as seen in before, how come there are still those clean and non-mutated Dreanei? that is too not explained.
Anyway, I look forward to playing "Curse of the Forsaken" next. :)

Hey, thanks for playing the campaign, I agree some maps may be a bit too hard, but I don't think I'll be changing the difficulty. As for Kalecgos, he is there because of events of the Sunwell Trilogy comic books. Actually, everything from Chapter Nine onwards is more or less based on events of World of Warcraft.

He did show up during The Burning Crusade too.
Still Tomo any chance to have more into this Campaign?
Kinda like a secret mission for the series?
