This is just a reskin of the human race. There is no original content and no new units. In actuality there is even less offered by this race than the normal human race.
As an example, Fragmentation Shards are listed as an upgrade that the glaive thrower (Mortar Team) can benefit from, but it is not an upgrade available in the reskinned workshop. In fact the only thing buildable from the workshop is the glaive thrower, with the flying machine missing an entire reskinned counterpart.
Additionally none of the Heroes actually have new abilities, they are just reskinned versions of human counterparts. It looks like some attempt at reskinning these abilities was done, but only one ability got changed in terms of text and icon. The High King’s extended tooltip says that it can learn this reskinned ability as Fire Bolt, which is actually instead named Phoenix Strike.
One of the only truly changed 'units' is the archer (rifleman) which is 50 gold pieces cheaper than its counterpart and granted searing arrows at the start of the game requiring no upgrade. This is substantially imbalanced and entire matches could be won by massing this single cheap unit available at the start of the game.
Finally, while some text has been changed to reflect the new nature of the race, the blacksmith still lists the ranged damage upgrade as "blackpowder" which substantially destroys any verisimilitude offered by the reskin.
If this is going to be a simple reskin then I can't really give it a high rating, as it stands if the basic issues listed are fixed I'll move my rating up 1 star. If original content is added and updated then I can change my review again.
