Banana, it's epic, but the orange is distracting and looks weird. You should maybe try to make the orange parts wood or maybe some other sort of metal(other color).

I aggre with Debode. You should change the orange to metal/wood. Because, if the shield is from a dead dragon, then why would it still have skin

The shield is really awesome. The amulet is much lower quality though. That lighting doesn't work well for icons, try doing it like the shield with a frontal smooth light.

@ bananaHUNT: all of your icons seem to have an extreemly diferent style, they don't really match. I'd recommend making the lines on the potion more subtle, and add some sort of background/flame glow to the shield. The orange color of the shield also seems to florecent, you should tone it down a bit to make it fit the shield better.

@ HappyCockroach: You should play around with how you are cropping your images some more. I get the feeling those icons could be much stronger if the subjects were framed diferently. I would recomend going more close-up to the objects, pushing edges of them outside the boarders. Right now the tiki amulet is a little tangent with the icon border, I would recomend inlarging it so a portion of it goes off the picture fram. The details in the sheild could benifit from being enlarged as well

@ UnholyDobry: Those icons definitely match

The hammer looks a little messy, the perspective seems slightly off. I would recommend shading the background/adding shadows from the icon subjects as well.

And here is what I've got so far

(The last one's supposed to be a shoulder-guard :/ )

and thats meant to be jade right? i think it could use some highlights. nonetheless, it looks very aztec. you captured the look very well

Thanks for the advice chrome, your icons are great, altho shoulder pad would look better without those horns in my opinion.

I like the 2nd and 3rd, but the hammer is a bit too small i think and overall they could use a little more hmm.. excitement?

@chrome: well they dont have to match right? its doesnt have to be a set like yours. as long as they all match the same theme

I agree, mayby you could try using a different angle, like a litle more front angle.

The new style sword is too cartoonish and doesn't fit warcraft. The other two fit warcraft but seem too plain with a powerfull background.

differentiate the sword blade from the handle. right now, it look like a slab of yellow metal

EDIT: well.. i did 20% on the teal things and 10% on the rest of the BG

Dentothor, that is... No offense, but not your best icon. Handle is poor and a bit de-constructed, background doesn't really match, and the blade lacks the "Epicness". Keep it up tho!

Blends in too much with the BG. try to define it more from the BG or Darken the BG itself

yes, this is why i was so disappointed with it. NOT my best work AT ALL. well, i'll start up another as soon as i get some free time from critiquing the icon section.

plus, i didn't like the style. it didn't match the orb that much and didn't match the Narcainians all that much.
