I have a spell request too O.O

Chaotic Rift - Basically make a portal appear in front of caster and make the caster enter it, then half a second later open another portal to where the player clicked for spell casting, and make the unit walk out and giving him a shockwave attack the next target he hits

The caster unit is the paladin hero and the gate should be dimensional gate(the purple one)

Hope this isn't too hard x.x

na its simple.

I feel bad not having time to test your project out, man.

I would possibly be able to do it in a couple weeks while on vacation, but...no guarantees, I'm not sure how much time I'll have to myself when I'm at my mother's house.

Trydene seems to have mysteriously disappeared after my last review of her map, also, o_O

I suspect she's playing wow constantly atm, xD

hehe, no probs take your time dude!, I suggest you play the map when all bosses/story is done...this map wont dissapear as long as hive is alive :)...

Trydene maybe busy with her Boyfiend, hehe, nahh just kidding...

Hey i wanted to request a spell,

Lightning Cannon GUI / MUI

The user shoots out a ball of lightning to a target location and when the ball hits the ground or arrives at the target location it explodes dealing (INT X 9.00) + (Level of (casting unit) X 5.00) damage in a AOE of 400. When the lightningball explodes it should be like a lightning explosion like a lot of electricity in the area around the explosion and also it should have a chance of 30% to slow the target for 6 seconds (Attack Speed : -40 % , Movement Speed: -40%).

Hey, I just need two spells, the first one shouldnt be TOO difficult. They're for a campaign I'm working on, and I'm incapable at making spells instant, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Death Strike
Instantly strikes targeted enemy unit for extra damage. Must be in melee range. You are healed for fifty percent of the damage dealt.
Level 1 - Deals 125% of your damage to targeted unit.
Level 2 - Deals 140% of your damage to targeted unit.
Level 3 - Deals 155% of your damage to targeted unit.
Cooldown 12 seconds, mana cost 50.

Blade Strike
Every second, a blade flys out towards a random enemy in 700 range. Each blade deals 215 damage, and stuns for 1 second. Lasts eight seconds (so 8 blades fly out all in all) Cooldown 75 seconds, mana cost 200.
Channable/non-channable, whichever is easier to make. Use whatever projectile/missile you want.

Any help greatly appreciated!

For the first you'll need a damage detection system.

And I'm not even sure if this workshop is active anymore. Been a while.

Ahh thanks, didnt know it wasn't active anymore. Don't bother with the second one then, I'll tinker around and see if I can make it.

Hi Defskull its me again there are abilities i do not even know how to make i have tried making sevral abilities that i need but i failed so im here to ask you for some help.
these abilities are needed for my biggest projects. i need a hero version of the ability and a unit version but not as strong as the heros

IMPORTANT NOTE: I CANNOT USE IMPORTED ITEMS so we need to use the defaults of war3 editor that means no model imports no image imports nothing in that

Abilities needed (World of Warcraft Related):

i need abilitys like the characters from world of warcraft but not exactly from it i need them home made

here are the classes and abilities i need

Paladin:
Retribution aura (does damage to enemy attacker that hits the source with ret aura)
Divine Storm (that ability with the flying hammers that spiral around the paladin use anything that looks similar to that ability in the war3 default selection)
exorcism (does twice as much damage to undead and demons)
Concecraton (you will need to create a yellow lava crack doodad for this one. not sure how else to describe it)

Hunter: Note: I can make summon abilities very easy i just need you to make the one ability below for the hunters
Arrow Storm (kind of like rain of fire or blizzard but with arrows)

Druid:
i need the ability that makes lighting come from the sky and do serious damage to the enemies that are hit by it there should also be a chance to not get hit by the lightning as well and the moonkin form too

Abilities not related to World of warcraft:

natures aura ((its been a long time since i played world of warcraft so if this is a world of warcraft type of ability let me know and ill think of a new name for it)) (For heros only) this abililty requires a lot so heres a discription

that's all i need so far if you can do all of this for me l will see that i will donate $25 to the hive as well and i will also make sure that you get the rep you deserve i will wait for however long it takes to make the buffs effects and or abilities for what i requested.

furthermore if you continue to help me with ability making in the future (only for the things i can not make) i will also continue to help you with rep and donations but don't expect the donations to be quick because my payments for now are monthly and low plus i tend to splurge but if you do help i will do what it takes to remember


i cant really figure out how else to describe everthing

What is Arrow Storm? Is that a new hunter spell in cataclysm or something? Or do you perhaps mean Volley?

ok arrow storm is what i used to call it its like rain of fire or blizzard but with arrows

furthermore if you need more discription just tell me this, is it for what ability or is it for everything?

how can anyone make u spells without a description of what the spells do, damage, or any sort of preference.

ill start on a better description right now i thought he could use the world of warcraft related ones and use similar damage but guess not furthermore i edited the discription a little to the abilites if it isnt good enough ill try to fix it again

Hmmm, you can really create a better description of your spell, just like Infinate said, damage, mana cost, levels, what it does and all
Some of your spell I get it, but some of it, just too... WoW-ish
Not everyone plays WoW you know~
But anyhow, I'll start creating your spells now, be patience =D

Naah, no need to edit, just make a new post, copy from your recent request post, it'd be easier for us to check it out, trust me =D

I only included Retribution Aura and Exorcism first
I'll add on Nature's Aura later on, after you described it a bit better =D

Abilites and what they need

Ret Aura aka Retribution aura needs no cost of mana and is supposed to do damage to the unit that attacks the hero with the aura. the damage it does is 25hp or more for war3 standards

Exorcism is a paladin/priest ability. for a lvl 85 hero or character im thinking the cost of mana should be at 1450 mana per cast its a very quick spell that dose double the damage to undead and demons. the damage is to 100hp or more for warcraft 3 standards

Arrow storm is a hunter ability that is sort of like rain of fire or blizzard you just need to find some way to change the shards or whatever falls in the spell to arrows mana cost id say 1500mana damage is strong but i cant figure out what amount it needs

The druids moonkin form ability is supposed to change any druid character into a moonkin aka wildkin or whatever they call it in war3

the druids lighting ability needs to have lightnign strike an enemy from the sky in random areas like the rain of fire ability but with lightnign special effects

forgot to mention i also need a Moonfire ability for the druids that blasts the enemy with a light of the moon from the sky as well doing 45hp damage cooldown should be 5seconds or more

Concecraction needs a yellow lava doodad for the effect to look right needs to cast in close range id say 0 range or somthing like that so when your right next to them it works

nature aura/natures aura i think i alread explained everything i could for that one

if i missed somthing let me know as soon as possable

bad news bud i downloaded the link you gave me saved it under my downloads section and opened it and now its not showing me any custom unit data can you give me the object data to save? it alwasy works for me when i have it saved as all object data

- When hero kills an unit, it has a 10/20/30% chance to store the hit points of an enemy unit(divided by 10/8/6) (the hit point stored btw is the DAMAGE), then after the 5th kill it unleashes a devastating attack dealing all hit points of all killed units...when it unleashes it must have special effects...

Fire Erruption
- The Hero raises the ground then a giant fireball comes out from the ground (center), then the fireball splits into 12pcs (360 degrees) damaging 50/100/150 enemies in a line (like breath of fire)...the center must have an explode effects...

I am doing this coz I have so many spells to finish at the moment...+rep for the one who makes me happy...

(the test map you linked me had no custom buffs/effects/abilities) so i couldnt figure out how to recieve my abilities or where to look for them. do i need a special tool? or can i have you re-post that and have the file be an ((all object data save)). if you already updated that map so i could find the abilities I'll look at it right now.

(((im really sorry for all of this trouble))) but the good news i have for you is that i just finished giving you +rep and when i can receive my abilities (via through ((object data)) I'll do what it takes to donate double the money or give you double the reputation will either one do as a better reward? if that is not enough ill see to get the reward you desearve. =)

How to export custom data through a map:
Step 1 go to object editor
step 2 make custom units, abilities, effects, buffs, doodads, or upgrades
step 3 save them on a a blank map. the map can be named anything

How to export all object data not through a map:
Step 1 go to object editor
step 2 make custom units, abilities, effects, buffs, doodads, or upgrades
step 3 hit export all object data and save it in a blank file

does this help at all? cause if it dosent meybe we can chat and ill walk you through it

I've had some critical error to the test map lol for Sudden Blow trigger...
What causes it, is just simple trigger:
  • Unit - Cause Attacking to damage Attacked, dealing (Real(StoreSB)) damage of attack type Spells and damage type Normal
This is supposed to "extra damage" to the attacked unit, dealing damage based on how many you have killed (converted Max HP of that unit into damage)
But when I remove this single line of this action, the test map and the spell works without critical error
I wonder why... still doing research and experiments...
Note: Critical Error is that the test map auto-crash itself after performing that trigger action.
 
damn defs you're fast, that's why I pick you to make the spells lol! anyway Im not at home at the moment, so I cant test the sample map that you will give...I hope to test it soon when Im home...I cant +rep you coz I must spread it first, I'll add you to credit list immediately...

EDIT:

dont forget to make Real(StoreSB))=0 at the end
