MortalCraft V1

I present to you my first official project, MortalCraft.

Description:

  • In this map I am looking for similarity with “Heroes of the Storm”, in terms of fast games and being able to dominate objectives.
  • The altars of each respective team function as a source and store of objects.
  • Although heroes and items are divided by roles (Assassin, Wizard, Resistant, and Support), you can still assemble them as you like. Almost all items can have good synergy with most heroes.
  • I have never seen the map in HD Reforged graphics, I would recommend getting a first impression with SD graphics to prevent any unexpected changes :v

Mechanics:

  • If 90 seconds pass and someone has not chosen a hero, the game will give them a random hero from those available.
  • You receive a higher amount of gold when killing enemy creeps or denying your creeps, but in case you miss the last hit you will still receive gold, but it will be a small amount. If you kill an enemy creep and you have an ally nearby, that ally receives a small amount of gold.
  • Power runes appear every 2 minutes once the game starts.
  • Hostile units may drop unique items that cannot be found in stores.

I personally tried this map and it's quite good. It's simple to understand, its foundation is solid, and the characters have interesting abilities. On the other hand, it's fun because the matches are dynamic and short. The only thing missing is a bit of balance regarding some item and/or character stats, since with certain builds their power can become disproportionate. Aside from that, everything else is pretty solid.

Good map, easy to understand. Both heroes and items are clear, and it’s one of the few MOBAs that feels well balanced, at least in my opinion.
 
Very good MOBA, I like the hero designs and the map. I played it in its early unofficial versions and its evolution is noticeable. I hope they add more features and AI in the future.

I am a Dota Enjoyer for years but honestly, this Map?
The Idea of arranging the Hero Selection and the Items. Is really satisfying. The Abilities are quite fun and enjoyable while being balance too. Unfortunately there is no AI as of yet...
I'm delighted by your comment, I'll definitely add AI to the map in the future :pwink:

  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.

It's because the jungle works like in DotA; you can stack neutral creeps if you move them far enough away from their spawn :pwink:
 
I have had the opportunity to follow the map since the first version, and I am pleased to see the progress made by the project and also the editor.
I hope it can continue along this path of dynamism and fast-paced battles.
We will be on the lookout for new versions and improvements.
