The Fortuneteller has spoken: It's Game!

Farming

Contestants have to create a game where the main goal must focus on gathering materials, resources, items, and anything the contestant can interpret as 'Farming'.
You may include other functions such as puzzles, bandits raiding your farm*, etc.
It's all up to your creativity&imagination!

*Doesn't necessarily mean the player needs to have a farm

  • Convenience over effort won't be an excuse to make use of third party programs (exception: Jass New Gen Pack). GUI actions that do not exist in the vanilla editor's database may lead to disqualification. WEU (World Editor Unlimited) and UMSWE fall into this category.
  • The map may not be protected!
  • No submission may violate any of the site rules.
  • If a submission does not follow the map submission rules the creator will be disqualified.
  • All submissions must follow the current theme. If any model does not fit, a moderator will tell you as soon as possible as to avoid confusion.
  • Your submission must be posted before the deadline. The post containing your final submission must also contain the following:
    • Several screenshots of terrain and gameplay.
    • The file in the appropriate format.
  • You must show at least one unfinished preview of your submission, before the deadline, as proof that it’s yours.
  • Your submission may not be started/made before the official launch of the contest.
  • Judges may not participate.
  • Your final submission must be bug free.
  • Your submission must be specifically made for this Mini-Contest.
  • Teamwork is not allowed.
    • Finding testers and/or voice actors to help you with your submission is not considered teamwork.
  • Imports may be used in the map, however they must all be credited.
  • All multiplayer maps must be under 8mb, so that they are playable on Battle.Net. Single player maps must not exceed 20mb in size.

There is no judging criteria published yet, however you should know that Originality and Gameplay are the main factors.

Shouldn't prize be greater, even icon award for 1st place? This is huge contest even if it carry word "mini" in it's name...
I won Mini-Game Mapping Contest #4
I think we had few after than, and finally we got number 7 and later reeeewind of it.

So this is Mini-Game Mapping Contest #8!

Actually, no :p

Here is some insight:

Since the Map Development Forum will be having Mini-Mapping Contests integrated within, but the latter have been part of the Arena's contests already, the previous awards called "Mini-Mapping Awards" will be renamed and the category of those awards will close, since those contests' purpose will be served within the Map Development Forum.

Well can i start now? this is my first time

Yea, i was kinda concerned about three contests starting in the same week, so i asked for some delay :) So sorry, but you cant start yet :p

I already have my idea about my map, it will be awesome :)

@Contest Prices; I understand that this is a mini contest, but its far more complex then drawing an icon, making a terrain, or creating a system. It requires more time, planning, and knowledge. I think prices should be higher.

I am not worried, because i think the host will increase prizes if the contest's quality is high anyways.
