If I wasn't so greedy,i'd help you out,pal. By the way, what are these spells?

Uhh... One of them spits Ice Balls all around the hero, another is like Immolation, but throws the target around in a full 360 and freezes it and another upgrades the other 3 and the last deals massive damage to the first target then randomly spawns things that damage in the area, a bit like some spell from Final Fantasy 12 on the DS ver.

If I have to clean all the off-topic posts out of this thread it's going to be a MUCH shorter thread.

Please would you do that, people would be ever so greatful!

(Multi-missile Cluster Rocket casted by chance)
Gives a #% chance to fire two axes, spears and mauls at a target area, creating a pillar of flame and burning enemy units stuck in the crossfire. The power of Demons fuels this flame.
Step 1:
Create trigger that activates step 2,3 once Oniaxor is in effect (Bash-type ability)
Step 2:
Create dummy units (Casts individual 1 missile Cluster Rockets at a target area)
Step 3:
Estimate choice time to create dummy unit to cast a flame strike with low damage at the AOE.

There, a combination of Pandas, weapons & energy

I'm in; hopefully ill be able to make a hero fast.
Can we use imports approved by wc3campaigns.net, too, or only from THW? Theres no real reason not to.

By the way, is there a rule against making one hero and submitting it to both the WC3C and THW contests? :D

Well my spells are done (except for SFX) now. Can anyone tell me how to de-leak them? I dont know where to start and I have read and tried a tut but it doesnt seem to work, so... yeah. And are they all MUI? Im going to work on the actual map so you can do something while you are testing it... eventaully.

The ultimate could be good as a ball of electricity that attracts all units in an area and deals damage

Synergy

Ulti + 2nd spell = intense damage and then the 2nd will explode and deal more damage
1st+3rd spell = intense damage at an AoE just by attack

Whatever, I am out of it, this is for sure a really one-sighted contest and for those "elitist" wannabes which didn't even make 1 popular map.
When something is marked on quality (otherwise, what would contests be?), it is marked on quality. MUI is quality.

My EoAN for example is full GUI triggered and has lesser bugs than fucking Age of Myths which got a lot of special effect bugs, but it is written in JASS.
Bugs and what you coded in (GUI/jass) do not really have a relationship: it is generally bugs and complexity.

I've never seen a spell competition where MUI wasn't rated, apply common sense.

because it says nothing in the rules about that jass is better rated as GUI.
Who said it is? I can do non-leaky MUI spells in GUI no problem, I just choose not to because Jass is more powerful, as well as easier to work with.

So you are willing to lose the competition for sure because of the loss of a point in triggering, rather than submit your work which you have already finished and give the contest a shot?

Man, I started making my hero about 2 weeks ago, and haven't got the time to work on her since then. Only first ability finished. Though there are 5 days more, i could actually finish it... I just need to work tonight after Big Brother VIP :)

The lack of skins I see in this contest disgusts me almost
And Dan is the only one who truly used a custom model
..shame on you Hivers

Is this skinning/modeling competition? - no
Does it make me cooler to have custom skin? - yes
Is it lame to make spells just using cool special effect models/models? - I think it is.

True skill needs no models - so I hope other people would make cool spells without custom models too.

I really think you shouldnt even be able to use random resources, but rules are rules and I hope I wont get totally pwned because I didnt use custom models.

Well I found a model for my hero which (I think) fits a lightning mage. I only have 2 custom models and an icon thats all. Well I dont think custom stuff is in the judging criteria but it would make a good eye candy show.

Well yea...I dont think it matters too much if not used in spells. Special effects can change spells to another level. Atleast good looking spell is more fun to use for me.

its like "woow" gotta cast that again its so cool.
