BEHOLD! The RACE THINGY!

Elenai's review is what I care about mostly because it is largly based on his.

Name: Zyomanrai (Forgotten Ones)

Home Planet:Lariminan (deserted wasteland)

Controlled Planets: They are a plague from the far reached of the dark void. They scour each planet of life, live on it until it is a planet dead of all resources, and simply move on.

Life Span: 2000 earth years though Zarinit (The Great One) is said to be immortal to age.

Government: Theocratic Dictatorship of sorts (The surpreme ruler is viewed as a god)

Leader: Zarinit (The Great One)

Description: Their agile forms move quick and unseen. They seem to become one with their ships forming to its very hull. Their skin is a dark gray color almost black and they stand the height of a Laminai and light seems to bind and twist around them. THey have dark orbs of red for their eyes and wear their hair long greased (for lack of a better word) to a solid point in the back. Each wears tight black clothing that forms to their body shape.

Other/History: (Some parts may have been seen from the Laminari)
Countless millinium ago in the elder days a great and powerful empire spanned the dark reaches of the galaxy. The Laminari and Zyomanrai were lords of this empire and they were one, the Laramentarion. After millinium of material lusts, violence, greed, conquest, and distruction a group of the people began to become distant. THey told stories of a god that sprang up. Laminad he was called desended from the heavens and brought peace. A abrupt civil war erupted when over half of the Laramentarions vanished all leaving in great numbers taking all they ould carry and filling the skies with millions of ships all heading for a greater peace.
The very fabric holding the Laramantarions together was shredded that day. Social pyramids were obliterated with generals and past lords begging on their knees for food. Economys crumbled and war began to be waged. During this war 70% of the population would vanish wither from the path of Laminad or by the hands of a fellow kinsman. After twenty-seven years peace finally was restored. The laramonians had lost all ties th their previous power and legacy. Great Behemoths roamed the far reaches of space uncontrolled, ancient fortresses fell into disrepair, and technology took a plumet back thousands of years. As the Laramentarion finally began to rebuuild the war torn worlds the horrible became worse...
An unknwon disease desended upon the laramentarion. Few escaped the hell that would claim countless souls but those that didwere changed forever...
Minds were twisted and filled with dibolical thoughts and voices. Their once luminesent skin turned dark and rough and their eyes once a beautiful soft bright color turned a deep piercing red. They now felt hopeless and filled with an inquenchable thirst for longing. Mass suicides became common and many just died of the depression eatting away at their heart. Others went mad with the thoughts racing through their mind. This state continued for months on end until a young firey youth arose among the crowds seeing a hopeful promising future. He preached of hatred and ancient prophecies saying the followers of Laminad knew this would happen and fled leaving them to doom. He also spoke that for their pain to end every soul in the universe must be obliterated. They adopted the teachings of the boy they would soon call Zarinit (The Great One) as well as the name Zyomanrai (Forgotten Ones). Through a new leadership and a new purpose they rebuilt great fleets and fled the disease ridden wasteland they had called their homes to pretake in a great clensing one to rid the universe of all life especially the dreaded Laminari.

Ooooh...

I like this, and it gives me some ideas for the Ancient Laminari culture.

Laminad appears, and sends the Laminari up into space to be stewards until he fulfills them.

The Zyomronai (Simonari in the language of the Laminari) are left behind, or chose not to go and suffer in war and famine, becoming Anti-Laminari, and their leader Zarinit (Sarini) becomes something like an Anti-Christ figure for the Laminari cause.

The Fortresses would have been sealed by the Laminari most likely long ago, and left their AI's to guard them....alas, falling into disrepair and insanity, but not being Simonari.

The fall of the Laramentari as a united race, with the Simonari staying behind and degenerating after a civil war with the Laminari who left their world to be a part of Laminad's plan.

The old homeworld of Lariminan (Larilan) now in ruins.

I agree with Elenai. Just as it is shown in the Metroid games, it is always a good idea to create a backstory of any civilization. And even for my Chozo, I intend for them to be able to discover what happened to their lost brethren on the Chozo homeworld, and possily re-establish themselves there, helping to restart the worlds of the Chozo from scratch to eliminate the corruption from the image. Cities rebuilt to rid the eyesore that reminds them of corruption, the worlds themselves. So, there will still be the chaos from the wars from the past 30-50 years. :p

ok, I figured it would help to show what some of the Black Sun ships looked like.

Juggernaughts: The BSJ Shakuras is the flagship of the entire fleet and is under the control of the Admiral. (name not availiable) With its large hangerbays, and vast firepower, it more than earns the name of Juggernaught. Boasting speed, streangth and a wonderful defense, this ship is sure to make battles difficult for opponents. (model being made to show its design)
The BSJ Planet Cracker, with no suitable title, is the deadliest mining vessel in the mining fleet. WIth the ability to harvest entire planets, and also serve as a Weapon of Mass Destruction, it can easily carry hundreds of Cracker Bombs onboard. Each bomb has devestating potential, and along with these super-nukes, has various other mining missiles and bombs for asteroid harvesting. Only three of these ships exist.
The Super Gas Mining vessel of the fleet is similar to the other gas mining vessels, except for its four vast gates on the sides of the holding tanks. Having the capacity of 200 gas miners, this ship dwarfs the rest of the fleet and gives an ominous appearance when its shadow is seen sucking in the nebula with intense speed. (no picture availiable.)
Destroyers: The Hecate is a famous destroyer, and mostly acts as a communications headquarters abroad

Carriers: the BSCa Fury is known for its vast holds of drones, and is capable of unleashing around 300 drones upon attackers. Though weak in gunpower, its swarms of drones make up for this, and give it a dangerous holding in the fleet. Its role in the fleet gives it a high priority statis for opposing fleets and various ships.

Cruisers: The BSC Orc is the standard cruiser in the Black Sun fleet. Acting more as a gunship than anything, it can unleash potent firepower upon attacking ships. Does well against fighters, and is essential for any fleet defense, or offensive mission.

Corvettes: The Deimos (which I always thought was a cruiser D:) is a wonderful ship, throwing incredible damage into its beam cannons, and can dish out damage agsinst fighters with incredible speed, (first hand experiance. A pain to kill) as well as against stations. Being a fast ship, this corvette holds its firepower with pride, tearing through entire squadrons as it clears the way for the fleet, its only weakness are the capitol ships, though it still puts up a pretty good fight (I love this ship! ^^)

Transports: Mirona (marine transport), common space transport (has six engines, with 2 of them being on the side), Planetary transports

Freighters:the Demeter is typically commercial, though often seen in the military. The Naxos is the replacement of the Argo

Mining ships: The Zephyrus is the standard gas mining ship, along with the Jooyun, and harvests gas from nebulas for fuel in the Black Sun fleet.

Drones: The Combat and Persuit Drone is the standard drone and is the only fighter drone used in combat and guard duty. With a flexible performance record, it can serve as a fighter, bomber, recon, communication relay station, and even capable of taking in depth scans of objects where it would be lethal for pilots to go to.
The Planetary Defense Cannon is technically a drone, due to its automated sensors, and mainframe, but unlike other drones, it does not link to any Drone HUB, but is preprogrammed. Used to defend planets.
The BSG Myrdin is the Beam Cannon used against the Kraken in its first Prototype run in real combat. With a massive reactor on the rear of the rotating cannon, the Myrdin is practically a nuke with a single laser, streaming massive amounts of heat and energy into the object, melting through with amazing speed. Tops the beam cannons on Black Sun ships with ease, due to its massive reactors built into the cannon, with little to no limitations on sparing energy for later. Has four shield generators on the sides, giving it mild protectiong from capital ships.

Stations: The common Communications station for the entire Black Sun fleet, there are three above Shakuras, to organize commands and messages between commercial ships, and incomiing/outgoing military vessels.
The Whitehall is a massive repair station designed by the military for repair on their largest of warships and mining vessels. This station is similar to the Atlantia in that they both are made to repair multiple vessels at the same time.
The Archeron is a gun plateform above Shakuras, and provides quality firepower from the back of the fleet.

Commercial freighters: A common ship on the freighter routes, along with this.

Commercial station: the Bretonia is a common commercial station and is known for its fancy interiors and various stores.

Dude, that planetary defence cannon is shooting at the planet XD, other than that, I just have to note: The designs of the ships are first off different than I imagined, and quite varying...

lol yes, well, it was the only picture that happened to get it close to what I was imagining :p

As far as the ships... well, there are different ship manufacturing companies on Shakuras :p Can't have them all controlled by the military :p So, the government gives them contratcs for certain ships, as they specialize in different types of ships (mining, cruiser sized, ship weaponry, destroyers, etc.) and thus cannot handle the different types. But, due to the friendly nature of the non-chaotic Chozo, they sometimes are hired for group projects, such as the solar mining station :p Including another station that some shadowy form has seen, but likely doesn't know exactly what it is :p

But yeah, they have different images :p Most of them tend to have a metallic grey plating :p

Ships designed by the military: The Planet Crackers, Deimos, Corsair, the Super Gas Miner, Naxos (updated Argo), Zephyrus, and the BSJ Shakuras.

Ancient designs by their chaos-infested civilization: Argo, and the Jooyun (a favorite in some mining devisions, though the most popular is the Zephyrus)

eh, its kinda not my thing, I realize. :/ I designed one, but I realized, that as a species rather unkown, having my one wolf in there, and perhaps some backup, wouldn't really cause any dent in the infected forces. :/ Besides, its all guns, not flamethrowers, so, I'd be screwed :/

I was wondering... Could everyone in the RP possibly put down their type of trans-system transportation (ie: Warp, Hyperspace, subspace, etc.) And a brief descrption of how it works? I'd like to be able to create a series of super short movies that explain how each technology works :3 I just think it'd be a fun little project :p Thanks!

Using tachyon waves and a warp drive modified to use those waves to speed up their speed to fast then light speed in warp space. Can be used in this space but ships go backwards in time. When in time space it will go thought any place at any time.

Right now, the Koldir use wormholes, technology gathered from their nearby stable wormhole, has been used to create artificial somewhat stable wormholes, basically, a station or special ship, uses specialized equipment, to create either a temporary black hole, or a temporary white hole, both have to be present in the link, then, before either of those can do any damage, they are linked to eachother through harmonization (making them 'fit' together) and voila a wormhole, however, my version of wormholes don't have swirly blue stuff etc, they are truly colourless, and only have the colour of stuff comming through them, also, the only navigation skills you need to navigate through such wormhole, is to fly in a straight line, the rest, the wormhole will guide, light is also guided through the wormhole, so you'll be able to see what's on the other side =D, if you look to the edges of a wormhole while in it, you'll see nothing but blackness, not even a star or something =D.

Sounds like fun :p Though, I don't know how I will get a colorless effect in the graphics for that one :p But I know how I'll ahve it in the diagrams :p (I'm going to try and find a way to get animated diagrams. Those are a lot of fun :p (like in Freespace 2's breifing rooms :p))

Now for Gath's Elenai's, and Sacrid's and anyone else's

Also, SolMaster, if you could include the Holis' trans-system transportation? I son't really know how the rift is formed, or it's shape, and some of the specifics in how long it takes to travel, etc. :p So that'd be nice too :p

Well, for graphics, you could first make normal space 'warp' (stars on the background, getting stretched etc.) Then a sort of like a fish-eyed view or negative-fish-eyed view of the system it's linked with, by the way, all wormhole stations are aimed at a body of importance, most of the time a planet or a star, also makes for a nice view =D

The Wolfmen and the Ugrentiens both use similar systems where as the ship itself doesn't move but it moves the space around the ship. Entering the area right around the ships directly after arrival or departure could prove hazardous for the ship if it doesn't have the drive needed for the travel. Anything else?

I'm... kinda confused by yours, Gath. It moves space? Or, is it a high powered drive that bends space so sharply (like folding paper and creasing it) and moves a rift around it. That way, the ship isn't moving, but the rift is the one to move. I think that could be a good explanation if you find it appropiate as a description. :/ Its about as close as I can get to understanding it, without it being a teleportation across systems :/

space is like this ____________________(twenty _'s) in convientional travel you would just go through it normally but my drives can bend space like /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ (20 /\'s) and edventually llllllllllllllllllll (20 l's) derastically shortening the time. And as they move through it the drive refixes the space behind them llllllllllo__________ (the o is the ship). Does that help?

Ok, so, it is similar to another person's form of intergalactic travel in another RP. I had a picture for that too :p Bending the map to shorten the distance. :p Until which point the distance is creased entirely, making it the tiniest of distances to cross. (folding the paper and creasing it into a thin line)

Ok, thanks. This will make it so much easier :p (except the diagram XD)

Kind of similar to the Ner'Gulth's way of travel, only they open a rift doing such a thing.

I think Ima create a droid faction soon.

And maby a zombieish type faction.

Ok. Thanks.

Sweet. Droids :3

Enough with the zombies! Why does there have to be zombies? I already had to deal with three different zombie races in the last sci-fi RP D: I just gassed them to death, destroying their organs :/ I got that sick of them. No zombies -.-
