Beyond the Throne: Tides of Darkness

I've been considering replacing the the Elven Destroyer with a Submarine. I've been searching for ways to differentiate the naval forces of Orcs, and Humans more. Lost are already drastically different than conventional forces.
Any thoughts?

There is a large update pending as well. I've been spending a good amount of my editing time on balancing Lost units.

Perhaps (although maybe this was obvious) differentiate them in the same pattern as the races are differentiated?

i.e. Assuming your Orcs and Humans are done like Blizzard (Orcs = emphasis on melee & brute force & large groups, // Humans = emphasis on ranged/melee mix, tactics, utility), you can make the ships like that too. (Orcs have lots of smaller, cheaper, rickety-er ships with crude weaponry, along with some huge Juggernauts; Humans have smaller groups of more expensive, but more tactical ships, as well as advanced weaponry on their 'battleships')

I'm working on the enxt update, it addresses many issues. It also alters the human naval units significantly.

I have just seen your post on my visitor page (I haven't logged in for a while!) and I tried to download the latest version, but the download button has no link associated with it!

Did this happen when you updated the post?

That's an awesome map.. Definitely an interesting concept for WC3 (naval combat)

I'm really impressed by anyone who can sit and make a melee map; to take into account all the balance issues (how much lumber, how many creeps of what type, the distances of everything). Even more to make it non-symmetrical (or at least curvy). Nice stuff.

Thank you!

I've released an update that includes the new terrain. Please give me feedback on how it plays. Insane AI was added.
