I think it's definitely coming along well!
A few things. I'm good with the spikes & horns for now, but think 2 sets of plate-leg-armor might be a bit too much (at least, if they are different & both team-color). The second (being more authentically wooden) makes the first look bad; they have slightly different resolutions.
One solution would be to remove the front ones (I rather like the back ones)... Or re-wrap the back ones with the texture from the front ones.
Alternatively (** rather like this one **), we could use this piece of (non-TC) wood from the Shadow Hunter texture (I know it's a simple re-skin & I'd do it myself to show ya, but I just can't with Magos. (would be nice to be able to do so...)). That might be a more work-able solution; second to that would just to remove the front one entirely.

My second issue would be with the face; you've definitely shrunk it down some, which is good, but I should be more expressive; I'm looking for basically a flat, massive, 'siege-ramming' maw/head.
A head like this:
Basically, while it shares many things in common with the WoW Crocolisk or Basilisk, this is meant to be sort of my own creation (still inspired). For example, it doesn't have a "petrifying gaze"; but it does secrete a toxin that 'turns men to stone' (paralyzes them).
So the long "crocodilian" maw should be squished down & made taller/wider. Teeth are bonus points. :P

Finally, about the back spikes. I feel like I'm failing to explain myself clearly; and for that, I apologize.
The more I think about it, the more I come to like/appreciate what is seen on this particular picture:

Here you can see the rough, rocky, chitinous plates of natural armor starting from the head (heck, the nose!) and growing all down the back to the midsection.
However, rather than mimicking the color of the Basilisk's regular scales (which, from a distance makes them disappear), I was hoping to incorporate some other color; especially a brown, some kind of visual 'splash' to indicate "this guy is tough", from a distance.
My first thought was to use the underside of the Naga Royal Guard... But looking at the underside of the Kodo Beast, that almost looks waaay better. I'll let you decide which is best (Kodo might "look perfect", but too bland compared to Royal Guard (has more color & flair & "scales")?).
Then the orientation of the scales. I've mentioned how they are too upright & stiff. I've attached a slightly edited version that shows more of what I mean; like the above picture, try and til them back & flatten them against the back. Maybe widen them out. Thing is, from an in-game perspective, the player can see right to the seam behind the current back-spikes, and it looks a little... off.
Please do not just use my mock-up version; it's intentionally really quick & very bad. But hopefully it gives a better impression.

Sorry to be so exacting. I again appreciate your help in this matter. : ) Let me know how it goes!
