Is there a synergy between abilities? 15 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 0/15

This hero has no synergy whatsoever. The abilities
almost seem random, because none of them share
any similarities. They can be used in a combo, but
none of them provide any synergy benefits.

There is no damage/healing/anything leveling amount
that would say that leveling this ability increases its
damage or makes its effect last longer. They are described
as static, level 1 abilities. Most of them don't even have a
damage amount on them.

I think the jungle creeps have more synergy
in their abilities than this hero has.

This hero needs complete reworking if it were to be
viable for the chosen map.

Does the hero comply with the balancing of the chosen Warcraft 3 map? 20 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 0/20

This hero's mechanics and spells aren't even
described in any manner for he to be in the map.

If this hero were to be in the map, I'd think
its some sort of a joke hero.

Was the hero original and creative? Did the author use appropriate icons or graphics? 10 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 7/10

The author did make a relatively original hero.
I can somewhat see the creativity behind it.

The author used icons, but no graphics to display
the hero in a reasonable fashion.

Can the concept be fully implemented in a Warcraft 3 map? 20 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 5/20

Not to repeat myself, but this hero concept would
be either: broken or useless if it was made into the map.

With that being said, I think there is a decent level of
complexity behind the hero to say it would take some
effort to make its abilities. Mostly because his ultimate
Mind State is described as "By using this ability his mind
state switch from Dark to Light and vice versa..."

Because of the UI and the command card with the warcraft
engine, this hero would require an elegant solution because
it would need a way to keep cooldowns active on abilities
while other abilities are displayed while others are hidden.

Its theme is both complex and unusable at this time.

Did the hero represent the contest theme? 25 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 22/25

The lore about the hero has many grammatical
errors and in a way, is way too long to describe
a hero but its at least clear in what it is.

To some extent, it gives a sort of "irrational" explanation
to "why this hero has both dark/light" powers. Its not
very descriptive, even though it has decent amount of
details in it. I however think that "the Nameless" doesn't
fit with the hero, especially since his name is Emotion.
Emotions are not nameless.

Its kind of cool that each ability is based around an emotion
and in some way, does the effect you think an emotion would do.

How was the concept presented? Are the abilities well understood? 10 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 4/10

The concept was presented in a mediocre way.

The abilities just have their hotkey as the description
in the table and the text is all the same everywhere
around the UI design. I'd think that a hero named
Emotion would be presented in many, many colors
but I guess not.

Disregarding all that, the abilities were presented in
barely working state. No details about the amounts of
ability effects were given, no levels were described and
the abilities themselves look like they have been chosen
by a broken bingo machine on random.

Is there a synergy between abilities? 15 POINTS

PROS

All the spells of the hero are more or less
exact opposites of their light counterparts.
Meaning that while light spells heal, dark
spells deal damage. Light increases speed,
dark decreases speed.

The hero's ultimate not only completely changes
the hero's tactics but it changes the hero and its
spells -- transforming it into a completely different
hero type.

CONS

While the spells of this hero are two sides
of the same coin, that is the same weakness.
All the spells are basically copy paste with
negative values.

Not to undermine the effort
of the author, but while I do consider simplicity
to be the best solution, dumbing down every
light/dark spell to be just the opposite of each
other makes it a little too simple.

Also this hero is lacking a scaling passive that also
might be used while in normal or demonic form.
Some interesting idea, not mandatory

POINTS GIVEN: 8/15

There is nothing wrong with the hero spells besides
what I believe about the spells being too simple.

But the hero spells don't have any synergy whatsoever.
They are okay spells, most of them either heal, increase
speed or deal damage and decrease speed.

Does the hero comply with the balancing of the chosen Warcraft 3 map? 20 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 20/20

This hero is balanced and would fit great
in the chosen map.

I can see this hero being both useful and
balanced in the chosen map. Because of its
counterpart nature, the hero's spells literally
change the playstyle of the hero completely
once it hits level 6 and gains the use of his
ultimate.

He would start to lane as a support, healing
allies and providing them with beneficial support.
But then at level 6, he would literally become a
support nuker, turning the tide in the lane and
causing chaos among the enemies.

Its simplicity will allow anyone to quickly grow
accustomed to this hero with little or no previous
expertise.

Was the hero original and creative? Did the author use appropriate icons or graphics? 10 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 3/10

The hero's creativity is okay. Not too bright, not too bad.
I like its simplicity and duality.

However, the author did a poor job of presenting the hero.
Only 2 icons were used.

The colors chosen are either too flashy or too dim and barely
readable. The overall UI design choice is ghastly at best.

Can the concept be fully implemented in a Warcraft 3 map? 20 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 20/20

The concept can be fully implemented in a warcraft 3 map.

All of the abilities are straightforward and can be easily
made and/or modified to fit with the hero.

Did the hero represent the contest theme? 25 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 5/25

The hero is a mixture of light and dark in fairly obvious ways.
I can say this much that makes it okay so far.

The hero lore is laughable. It attempts to link itself to the
Warcraft Universe with a fictional story that is not only illogical
but is poorly written as well. I cannot commend any poorly written
lore that is a grammatical mess of words, because spell check is so
readily available anywhere on the internet. Anyways back to the lore..

First of all, they are described as half demons and half worgen that
can use dark magic. Even the term Worgen is a Warcraft term.

Ausfang is described as a ferocious warrior of the Razorclaw
that was mentored by a paladin to protect the light and bring
peace to the world. A half demon, half werewolf that wields
dark magic was mentored by a paladin?... yeah okay. Its like
saying that after Arthas became a death knight, he was
mentored by murlocs and became a pirate.
Cuz you know, why not.

How was the concept presented? Are the abilities well understood? 10 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 0/10

The concept was presented in a horrible manner.

The design is barely readable, the grammar is beyond
horrible and with the colors used, you have to squint your
eyes to read it.

Some abilities have icons, others don't. Some abilities are
straight out copy-pasted and the author even forgot to
change the text of the copy-pasted text. Like Abyssal Aura,
Abyssal Summoning.

The lore is a comical at best.

Is there a synergy between abilities? 15 POINTS

PROS

There is a very clear synergy between abilities of this hero.

This hero also uses the theme as a duality to represent the
strengths and weaknesses of the hero in the Light/Dark
theme, allowing the reader to instantly notice the synergy
and the contrast of various spells.

CONS

The hero has no inherent non-leveling passive and is
entirely reliant on his spells. Even though the hero's
ultimate is a passive, the hero doesn't have any other
passive effect.

I think her Light from Above [Q, Active] and her
Darkness Below [Also Q, Active] are maybe too good
in synergy and need a slight nerf. Because of the
stacking damage of Light from Above and the snaring
ability of Darkness Below, this hero could deal lots of
damage with her Q spell on level 6.

POINTS GIVEN: 13/15

The synergy is very clear.
The spell effects are for the most part, balanced.

Other than nerfing the damage of Light from Above
and adding another non-leveling passive, this hero
has perfect synergy.

Does the hero comply with the balancing of the chosen Warcraft 3 map? 20 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 19/20

IMO, this hero is almost perfectly balanced.

As a support dps, her spells have a
duality in nature that allows double-casting
spells with different effects that synergize with
each other and provide a myriad of buffs/debuffs
and other effects.

The only downside I can think of is that the hero
doesn't have a scaling passive that grows stronger
over time. That might be the only con, since this
hero's true power comes after learning her ultimate
passive Dark Heritage and the passive itself only
unlocks the darkness counterpart spells after she is
below some health threshold.

I think that the addition of a scaling passive will
make this hero perfectly balanced (provided that
this passive isn't some broken overpowered crap)

Was the hero original and creative? Did the author use appropriate icons or graphics? 10 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 10/10

The author did a superb job of using icons and graphics to
display the hero, and the interface of the abilities, stats
and other hero information is displayed in a clear manner.

The hero is a unique blend of two seeminglty opposing sides.

The hero's lore is decent, except for the occasional letter swallowing
and broken words.

Can the concept be fully implemented in a Warcraft 3 map? 20 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 12/20

The concept can be implemented in a warcraft 3 map
but with decent amount of complexity involved.

Intentional or not and as fun as the hero's abilities are,
most of the spells activate additional spells that can be
cast and will take extra space from the command card from the UI.

All the spells do a health deficit check to measure if the hero
is below the health threshold in order to be able to cast darkness
spells and further conditioned to be only as active as the light
counterpart of that spell.

The biggest problem I see here is the effect of replacing any active
light spell with a darkness spell and measuring the cooldown of the
light spell, since the darkness spell is only given AFTER the light spell
has been cast and lasts as long as the light spell is in effect. Since there
isn't a way to affect cooldowns in warcraft separately, this will be a huge
hurdle.

Sadly, making this hero in warcraft will require amounts of patience,
rather complex solutions and the benefits of several systems. Nothing
too grim however, as it is doable -- it is only burdensome and will have
interface problems.

Did the hero represent the contest theme? 25 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 25/25

The hero represents the contest theme with flying colors.
Even though it is hard to decide which side to put her in,
since she is both sides in one hero, this is no problem.

How was the concept presented? Are the abilities well understood? 10 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 5/10

The concept of the hero is decent in presentation.

However I've struggled to re-read parts of the abilities and
the lore which had some broken words.
I cannot commend the author for not running a spell check to
filter through those broken words that make reading difficult

The abilities have a rather unpleasant feel about the amount of text
that is provided at first sight. This is as good as it is bad, hence the
abilities have for the most part straightforward effects, but the huge
chunks of text make reading them a... challenge.

Even though the colors used for the text make it more
clear which parts of the ability are which, reading through
a big hill of text for one ability is mediocre.

I think the author could of done a better job at describing
his or her abilities, that would make easier to understand not
just here for this contest, but possibly in-game.

Is there a synergy between abilities? 15 POINTS

PROS

All of the spells regarding this hero
are based around evasion from melee combat
and dominating from long range via attacks,
point and line spells

CONS

The hero doesn't have a clear synergy between
abilities. While important, most of the spells
are based around dealing damage from range
and do not qualify as genuine synergy effects.

While all the spells have a combo potential,
they are not synergetic between each other.
All damage spells are long range. The passive
feels almost random, because the point of this
hero is to fight from a clear distance and not get
hit while the passive allows more damage to be
dealt if the hero is hit

POINTS GIVEN: 5/15

There is nothing wrong with this hero via
the active and passive spells. They are well
thought out and relay a simple message that
this hero best works from long distance combat.

However with that being said, there is no
synergy either and some spells are in conflict
with one another. Both stun and blind effects
can overlap and deny an effect, casting abilities
would waste mana that would give away the cloak
earlier and easier. The passive barely works for this
type of hero, since the point of it is not getting hit
by the enemy.

I would suggest few things:

- Making the spells both affective in long/short range
by changing the damage/effect ratio. Long distance
would cause more damage and short range would
cause effects to last longer like Blind and Stun
- Making the Mobile and Siege mode available at all
times, so that this hero can use all spells at all points
of the game by choice, either in short or long range
- The Photothermal Deflection [Q, Active] does too little
to be called a valid spell. It could have some extra effect
like increasing damage from the first attack fired from stealth

Does the hero comply with the balancing of the chosen Warcraft 3 map? 20 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 20/20

This hero is balanced and would fit great
in the chosen map.

I can see a bright future for this hero, because
of his his long distance nuking power via attacks
and abilities.

I assume most item builds would revolve around
getting extra mobility and mana. All that this hero
really needs is lot of mana regeneration and mana
points to be able to rule both lane defense and team
fights. A very scary opponent if not countered properly

Was the hero original and creative? Did the author use appropriate icons or graphics? 10 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 2/10

Unfortunately, this hero is neither original nor creative.
Its a Siege Tank from the Starcraft Universe with
some shady backstory and interesting abilities.

Its what you would expect from a Siege Tank. A slow powerful
nuker that devastates from long range. I cannot commend the
author for being original and creative with choosing this model
and slapping a DC Universe name on it.

However, the author did develop the creativity with the abilities
of the hero, and those are the ones I can commend on.

Can the concept be fully implemented in a Warcraft 3 map? 20 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 20/20

The concept can be fully implemented in a warcraft 3 map.

For the most part, the abilities are relatively straightforward.
I'd assume the tough part would be to copy all abilities between
the Siege and Mobile unit and fix all glitches and bugs that might
occur from both.

Did the hero represent the contest theme? 25 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 0/25

This is the most horrible aspect of the hero I'm afraid.
It doesn't at all fit the theme. The only tie this hero has
with the Dark is his backstory, which isn't really descriptive
of his malice, sadism, agony, pain or hatred. At best, its shady
for all the wrong reasons.

Not to mention that this hero's power is a machine that does
complex things like deflecting light, firing lasers, refraction
and using radiation as a weapon. It belongs to some space-cybernetic
age, and I don't feel that this map has that. It would all be good
if the story would somehow connect his knowledge for these
powerful and complicated things... but sadly it doesn't.

The lore shoots itself in the foot by saying "As with the name,
Dr. Aether was fascinated with the aspect of light and in its manipulation".
Yeah, he was so fascinated with the light that he butchered cattle
and was driven by bloodlust. A person fascinated by the light doesn't
build contraptions to butcher cattle or terrorize villagers. Nor names
himself something out of a comic book. Aether doesn't have any connection
with the light or the dark, so even the name doesn't belong here.

Is there a synergy between abilities? 15 POINTS

PROS

Hero is a singing dancing synergy fest.
His scaling Blood Stash passive is the
"blood" of this hero, enhancing ability
effects.

Some abilities generate stacks, others
spend which is a great combo within itself.

CONS

Masochism is an unnecessary OP spell.
It literally has no drawback, since the
% max health amount you pay for it is so
low that either: fountain heals you right up
or the Vital Fluids [E, Passive] heals you up.

POINTS GIVEN: 0/15

This hero would have a perfect balance if
there wasn't the Masochism spell. It ruins
all of the hero's great potential -- and sadly
this hero has great potential.

I'd given 15/15 points if this hero didn't have
the Masochism spell or if it wasn't broken
OP crap like it is.

I also think that maybe changing Vital Fluids
to also somehow generate stacks for the passive
would be great then his Q, W spells would generate
stacks and E, R spells would spend stacks.

Does the hero comply with the balancing of the chosen Warcraft 3 map? 20 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 0/20

This hero is broken.

Hero deals 47 - 50 damage on level 1.
Hero has 1.7 attack rate.

Deep Wounds [E, Passive] has a 17%
chance to grant 60/45/30/15% damage
increase based on how many stacks you
have in your passive. For each stack below
4, you get reduced damage increase.

That means with the 60% damage this hero
deals 75 - 80 damage on level 1. Yes, level 1.

The saddest part is... this hero theoretically
kills you without the ultimate. And his ultimate
deals lots of damage.

This hero can be abused as it is right now.
Masochism allows that.

Was the hero original and creative? Did the author use appropriate icons or graphics? 10 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 10/10

The author did a splendid job or using both icons and graphics
to display valuable information about the hero. Some extra stats
like attack range, attack rate, movement speed, hero projectile
made it easy to read and understand just what kind of hero it is.

The abilities were for the most part easy to understand, despite
most of them having unnecessary complex mechanics behind them.
I think the wording could of been improved, but this is not a complaint
because the author did a good job of explaining the hero.

The idea behind the hero is for the most part original, even
though I can see from where some the ideas came.

Can the concept be fully implemented in a Warcraft 3 map? 20 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 20/20

The concept can be fully implemented in a warcraft 3 map.

There is some complexity towards building this hero, like the
Vital Fluids [W, Passive] would take a DDS system to be made
and the Crimson Dagger [Q, Active] would take around 2-3 missile
triggers to be made, since it retracts back to the hero.

Did the hero represent the contest theme? 25 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 20/25

The hero represented the contest theme with overall
success. I would give it a 75% Dark / 25% Light ratio,
but the lore isn't completely descriptive of how he
gained the knowledge to manipulate blood and it
doesn't explain how the title Blood Knight came to be.

Still, the hero represents the theme well.

How was the concept presented? Are the abilities well understood? 10 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 8/10

The concept behind the hero is for the most part easily
understood. The synergy behind the abilities is simple and
complex enough that any reader would realize that.

However, some of the abilities are unnecessary complex
and others are just plain simple. This might cause any reader
to have doubts about why this is so. Nevertheless, they are
clearly explained with all the details and can be copied as
they are directly into a map and there would be little to no
confusion.

Did the hero represent the contest theme? 25 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 10/25

The hero represents the contest theme well.

With that being said, the lore is again based on
a fictional story in the Warcraft Universe.

It has tons of grammatical errors and barely skims
on the details of the hero. It gives a very vague
explanation of why the hero is a holy mage, only that
she found it very natural to her. Why?

These two lines of the lore
really bother my questionable intelligence:

"after the fallen prince devour the city, she was one of the few survivors of the onslaught"

I'm guessing this is the Culling of Stratholme...

"Now, she will use her magics against her most hated enemy the Undead"

If this is the purging of Stratholme, Arthas didn't command any undead here.
On the contrary, he wanted to stop his people turning into the undead.

If this is part of the main storyline, the lore just keeps
making holes in its plots. If its not what I suspect, then
my apologies, but the lore did a mind crush on me and
now I descend into madness.

Even though I am worried for once that
his synergy might even be TOO GOOD for

becomes better when used with other spells

I also think his ultimate is too powerful.
It literally creates too many effects at
once and can cause a penta kill because
enemies cannot run from the illusion, it has
tons of HP even at higher levels, it reflects some
of the damage dealt to it and with his Presence

The hero represents the theme in a reasonable fashion.

However, the lore... is in another castle. (yes! super-mario reference)

Its horrible, with butchered sentences, grammar-less and has
little to no logic in itself. The story is laughable and ghastly.
I don't think I can imagine how this hero was created in the first
place by picturing all the events the author tried to fuse together
using this... pudge of a lore. (yes! even a pudge reference. i'm just too good)

The hero is supposedly a priest that was stabbed by a demon
who also possessed him and made his body into what he is right now.
The most unbelievable fact is the author saying that:

"Luckily, Thero's mind is still present and has a full control to his movements, because of being a priest."

and

"Even with this form, Thero didn't changed his path and career"

So the hero looks like a lich, has darkest of auras,
is possessed by a demon, but his mind is still his
and he wants to pursue the same goals as before?

Kind of sad that this hero has really amazing
abilities that are so well explained and yet the
lore itself is trashy at best.

a dark side of the hero for which you gain access to totally
different spells which makes this hero take two roles at once
and then you decide which role to play by choosing its passive.
Kind of cool.

CONS

The hero's synergy is barely existent. There are only
two spells that have a synergy, in fact its not just a synergy
they are required in order for them to actually do something
relevant and useful. His Haunt [W, Active] and Embrace the Darkness
[E, Passive] synergize between each other, but are both almost
unusable if you don't have both.

But let's leave that aside. The abilities are broken on design
because some of them don't even have a damage/healing
amount and/or their effects make them seem overpowered.
This might not have been the intention of the author, but hey
I'm not telepathic.

POINTS GIVEN: 0/15

The hero has some synergy, even though
its not a big one. But some of the abilities
appear broken and overpowered so no
matter how cool the abilities are if they
don't have at least some form of information
that EXACTLY relays what they do, the hero
is broken on design.

A cool idea though.

Does the hero comply with the balancing of the chosen Warcraft 3 map? 20 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 0/20

This hero is either: broken or overpowered.
Probably both.

Some of its spells have no amount given to
how much healing/damage he deals or the
effects are not well explained.

For example, both of his ultimates are
broken and overpowered:

Redemption [Passive] I guess, says that upon death,
Svernos will turn into a Seraphim Archangel
and then the Seraphim will die. And then
after 20 seconds Svernos will be resurrected
from death.... what? So he becomes an angel,
and then he dies and he is respawned again?
So he is basically immortal and can never be
killed? This ability is broken beyond repair.

Betray Light [Active] says that his damage will
increase and enemies around him will be cursed
by a debuff that makes them decay. There is nowhere
a mention for how much does it decay them or when
does it decay them. For all I know, it can deal 100% of
max health every 0.01 second. And the levels grant this
"shady" ultimate duration for:
Level 1 - 120 seconds (without a timer) ... o_O ????
Level 2 - 120 seconds (can decay buildings/mechanical too)
Level 3 - 175 seconds

I don't know, you tell me what does this all mean.

Was the hero original and creative? Did the author use appropriate icons or graphics? 10 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 10/10

The author made a very creative and original hero.
The author used the appropriate icons for each spell.

Can the concept be fully implemented in a Warcraft 3 map? 20 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 20/20

The concept can be fully implemented into a warcraft map.

Did the hero represent the contest theme? 25 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 20/25

The lore isn't bad, but I believe in some ways its a total
rip-off from the Warcraft Universe. The titans are an example.
But okay, I'll go along with it -- its one of the better lores I've read.

The hero represents the contest theme in great fashion.

Its a very unique hero that lets you pick its alignment.

How was the concept presented? Are the abilities well understood? 10 POINTS

POINTS GIVEN: 0/10

No. Just no.

The author did a very poor job of describing his/her
hero concept. The abilities are the ones that took
the heavy hit. I had to re-read the entire table
at least 10 times and change my score at least 3
times in order to fully grasp what the author had
in mind. Endless confusion and despair made me cry.

The text colors are decent, even though the dark
abilities could of used a lighter version of purple.

The grammar however... is the work of the Canadian
Devil (south-park reference here derp derp). The wording
is horrible and the sentences are broken in many ways. This
I think not even a spell check could fix.

I am sorry for trashing the author's grammar, but these sentences
made my brain skip a function. I had to patch them together myself
in order to understand how did the author wanted them to sound.

Blizzard Feeling

Theme

Presentation

TOTAL - 76/100

Over-time buffs, summons, auras and passives that either heal or deal or empower or weaken. As I see, the idea is to be a tank within the early stages of a fight (or the game itself, before level 6) and heal/strengthen allies with your abilities, then cleaning up the fight with your ultimate that makes you slow-immune. The synergy is really good, especially for the Demonic Form. Slow a target with Abyssal Flame, summon Mephits, and Abyssal Aura will further slow your target. 11/15

It's pretty powerful for an unstoppable permaslow with high damage summons, but I'll give this a 14/20.

Some icons aren't well-made (Transformation passives) and though the first icons correspond to what they do, they have little common style. 4/10

Fully doable. 20/20

It did represent the theme, well I should say. Since light is mostly (unless it's retribution) tied with protection, the tanky aspect of Ausfang's early game and the damaging abyssal demonic form makes the cut. 21/25

I have a slightly hard time understanding the wording at some points, namely the second skill's description (how does the Light Spirit heal allies?) 6/10

Daniela - The Holy Mage

TOTAL - 92/100

I like the idea of a support-damage dealer with extra protection. The interaction with hitting an enemy using Light Burst while it's slowed by Heaven's Curse is also a plus. 13/15

Her potential is high but is restricted by high mana costs. Well balanced. 18/20.

Good job on gathering the icons, I love them. They may not fully match as if they were made as a set, but concepts rarely do. 9/10

Fully doable. 20/20

Great theme of protection and retribution. 23/25

Great job on the presentation. There are some grammar mistakes and uncoined terms, but the words are understandable. 8/10

Dr. Aether - Electromagnetic Radiation Controlling Machine

Synergy

Balance

Creativity

Blizzard Feeling

Theme

Presentation

TOTAL - 85/100

Damage output is high but requires skill to land. The ultimate generally works well with Photothermal Deflection, along with its long range nukes. 13/15

The potential of the hero at late game is very high. It's a great anti-carry, be it physical or magical. Rather too great, hurts enemies too much with Refraction - and too many enemies, at that. So if health is built and the enemy team gangs up on Dr. Aether, the losses to their health will be devastating. The Deflection Cloak costs rather too much less at late. Two area blinds on top of that is a bit too strong. 9/20.

The color of the icons don't match much, but the hero is creative. 8/10

Fully doable. 20/20

Very unique theme - I rarely see machine-oriented heroes wielding light. 25/25

Great presentation. I didn't notice any grammar mistakes! 10/10

Emotion - The Nameless

Synergy

Balance

Creativity

Blizzard Feeling

Theme

Presentation

TOTAL - 63/100

Synergy is rather good. Throw them into the air with Hatred, hit them with Rage but take increased damage; - not that they can damage you while airborne - very nice. The E, though, gives durability and damage, which doesn't really synergize much with his other abilities, aside from Love which is in his alternate form. Light Form is pretty defensive, and Peace has some synergy with Love. 9/15

Fittingness; the hero's ability structure is suited for a melee map, not for DotA. Numerical damage amount is also unspecified, making it hard to weigh. Peace is a one-point wonder, since its heal does not scale with levels. And Love is too strong, its cooldown and cost are too low (not that the values are specified, though). Humility is rather very situational - it can only be cast on very low enemies (preferable damage dealers) who've already dealt their share of damage to the enemy team. 5/20.

The icons could use some re-coloring to make them match with the alternate sets. 6/10

Fully doable. 20/20

Emotion is a pretty good theme. 18/25

Abilities are well understiood, but there are grammar mistakes/typos. 5/10

Jollinar - The Tainted Zealot

Synergy

Presentation

TOTAL - 95/100

This is a great carry. Her light abilities intertwine well with her dark side. She can sacrifice health- only to shield from further incoming damage. That's some neat synergy. 13/15

Good balancing. She trades health for power with Zealot's Sacrifice... but I fear for that at late game when she can lifesteal the cost off with one or two attacks, thus making the duration theoretically infinite. I love the counter play choices though, with 100->50% scaling bonuses. 18/20.

The icons could use more style adjustments, but the choices are very good. 9/10

Though this has a LoL feel to it, it's still fully doable. 20/20

She carries a very good theme.. standing before light and death. 25/25

The ult active comp. He didn't vote for this one. This must be his work. Eh. Whatever. The moment I saw the layout I knew I had to type this first. Presentation is AWESOME. That's all. 10/10

Lafos - The Blood Knight

Synergy

Creativity

Blizzard Feeling

Presentation

TOTAL - 81/100

The ult is really what holds his abiltiies together. Cast it, follow with a Crimson Dagger (to negate the attack downtime) and rely on your procs to decimate the enemy. 12/15

Since the innate active only consumes Current Health - at the cooldown of one second - Lafos can just farm it up in the fountain, getting 20 stacks of Blood Stash before going to lane. It's a bit OP. The Crimson Dagger is like a Stifling Dagger that has a slight drawback, but deals more damage and slows much better at early game. Passives are well-balanced though, along with the ult. 14/20.

I don't know if it's intended, but the passives have active icons. Hero is creative though. 7/10

Fully doable. 20/20

An indirect addition to the forces of darkness. 20/25

Some parts are not worded very well. The attribute icons however have a style I only see in PlayDotA... good job. 8/10

Svernos - the Sky Forger

Synergy

Balance

Creativity

Blizzard Feeling

Theme

Presentation

TOTAL - 57/100

Though the benefits for the team are nice, Seraphim Angels don't really synergize with Svernos' abilities - other than healing and purging enemies of buffs. Wretches also serve the same purpose; healing and damaging. 6/15

Numbers are specified... but the Seraphim Angel in particular seems to last forever. Then it would just be about sitting in base and waiting for the ability's cooldown. At late game the summon duration for Embrace the Darkness is infinite as well, so it's just strength in numbers and body blocks. In my opinion the potential increase for Embrace the Darkness should be not in Duration, but more in creep healing. And Redemption basically makes him unkillable. 3/20.

Icons are okay, but don't match in color scheme (at least for icons of the same set). 5/10

Fully doable. (For those who question, Engineering Upgrade can make Holy Light auto-cast) 20/20

Theme is neat. 20/25

While the hero sounds neat, no picture, or portrait at least, is included in the pastebin. It's also not specified if Svernos can switch stances anytime he wants, or only at the beginning of the game. 3/10

Thero - the Undefined

Synergy

Balance

Creativity

Blizzard Feeling

Theme

Presentation

TOTAL - 92/100

I like how the dark and light sides intertwine in the numbers game. At late game he can land an ult in the middle of the enemy team, watching as the enemies helplessly struggle to get free while having his allies hit the illusion. The benefits? Single-target things such as crits work much better on the illusion. 14/15

I'm a bit unsure about if the ult illusion dies to blows, but the rest of the kit is well balanced. 16/20.

Very creative, how the effects change solely based on targets. 10/10

In terms of coding this hero is fully doable. However, I am not sure how you would like the additional icons to be displayed. They can be made only tool tip info though. 20/20

Theme is good. 22/25

Minor thing; the attribute icons' black backgrounds can be seen. Hero is easy to understand.

I love the fact that a GIF is here from the source model. Those, and the decently re-colored ability icons make this a 10/10

well, then I want to thank everybody voting for my entry and also the judges for their ratings.

I really had to laugh sometimes as I somehow knew that criticism would come^^ (e.g. complex abilities and the way of writing xD )
i often tend to make really complex hero ideas, maybe because the last i did were for HotN. If I have some time and motivation to translate I might post a REALLY complex hero :p (which hopefully is still possible do make in wc3 as at least I would have tons of fun to play it, but this lies in Crigges' hands ^^)

Also if there is a plan to make another Idealist Challenge I guess I could join as a judge.

And Awards are a good idea!

Man, if my theme was rejected this badly, I should have gone with the mainstream and went with the good/bad thing instead of the scientific side of light. Well, I'm still pretty happy with that. Congrats to everyone. I'll be looking forward to the next one. ^^

I like your theme and I gave it a perfect score.

E: Oh, right.

Anyways,
EDIT: Mythical Creatures?

Mythical Creatures

Select any Mythical Creature from any fictional story or in mythologies. The hero's ability must also relate to the kind of creature it is. For example, Harpies can use its feathers or wings as an ability.

Help me fix my grammar :D Or make it look fancy to read.

EDIT:
Give me suggestions for the awards

well, depending on wether it's possible on hive or not we also could make badges that participants can put into their signature (if they want).

e.g. there would be one for participating, specials ones for the top 3 and maybe for 'people's choice' and so on?.

The badge could then link to the contest or something like this.

As I said at the moment I'd have no idea how to make this, apart from having the contest-host put the 'badges' (pictures) in his pastebin and send the contestant the fitting badges as a link/bbcode they can put into their signature.
Also the badge would be new for every contest (should also fit to the theme).

and on topic of the question in what map the hero idea should fit:

WHAT IF, we start a 'long-time-group-project' that in the end uses heroes made for the challenge?
This on the other hand would mean that at least the rough idea of the map should be clear ( by the way I have a quite specific map idea in my mind for some time and already started to make some terrain tests). But I wouldn't start this before next year, so a potential map idea can be specified. And this also means that the 'doable in wc3'-part becomes a much more important thing.

well what I meant, was e.g. that I present my map idea as good and detailed as possible so its as clear as possible how gameplay and so on would look, maybe with some terrain wips (less triggering, as I'm a total noob when it comes to coding :p). And should enough people like the idea (or have some suggestions) they can post it here. once the idea has enough 'shape' we could start to make hero idea challenges. This would either mean that some good hero ideas possibly come to use depending on how the map will be going, or at least we have some new map to think of heroes for instead of 'just' dota.
