Old schools faves: Kotor, Kotor 2, Jade Empire, Fable: The Lost Chapters as well as the original, Halo PC, Halo: Combat Evolved (I like them both for seperate reasons), HL2, Portal, Goldeneye 007, Dark Forces, Garry's Mod 10, Warcraft 3, Star Wars Galaxies (Pre-CU when it didn't blow), Dark Forces II, Star Wars Pod Racer, Rogue Squadron 64, Unreal Tournament 2004, Unreal III, Forza Motorsport, Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Dark Forces II: Mysteries of the Sith, Shadows of the Empire (Such an amazing SW game. If you have an old N64 and you don't own it already, I highly recommend it), Counterstrike 1.6, Counterstrike Source, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Grand Theft Auto III (Until 4 comes out, it's the best one made so far), Need for Speed High Stakes, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2, Need For Speed Underground 2 (UG2 is the best NFS game made since the original UG game out. Hot Pursuit 2 is the best overall, but in the last like, 5 years, its been the best), Mario Kart 64, Mario Party 2 (Also the best Mario Party ever made), Super Mario 64 (The first N64 game I ever owned), Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (Best game to ever be released on Dreamcast), Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2, Legacy of Kain: Defiance, Sonic Adventure 2 (Arguably the best Sonic game made since the turn of the millenium), Amped, Amped 2, Lego Star Wars (Both prequel and original trilogies are spectacular), Lego Racer 64, Legend of Zelda: Orcarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Wii Bowling, Perfect Dark, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, Dave Mirra's Freestyle BMX, Serious Sam: The Second Encounter, Serious Sam 2, The Chronicles of Riddick, FEAR Multiplayer, FEAR, STALKER, Bioshock, The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind, TES: Oblivion, Halo CE (Custom Edition, Garry's Mod 9 (I treat it seperate from 10 since they're so vastly different), Pirates, Vikings, and Knights, Deus Ex: Invisible War, Unreal II: The Awakening, Quake III Arena, Doom, Doom 2, Half Life, Half Life 2: Episode 1, Half Life 2: Episode 2, Codename: Gordon, Team Fortress Classic, Half Life: Deathmatch, Half Life 2: Death Match, Fortress Forever, Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles, Battlefield 1942, Star Wars Battlefront, Battlefront 2, Swat 4 (I like this game because its so bad it's hilarious to play over LAN), Monster Madness (The game that could have been), Dead Rising, Gears of War, Guitar Hero 1-3, Rock Band, Zombies Ate My Neighbours, Super Mario 3, Dr. Mario, Paper Mario, Vanishing Point, Rise of Nations, Rise of Nations: Thrones and Patriots, Diablo, Diablo II, Starcraft.

That's about it. Props goes out to Seventh Cross: Evolution to being the wierdest game I've ever played.

Oh my God! People people, what about Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time? That's definitely my favorite of all time. Followed by Warcraft III, Call of Duty 4, and both Ghost Recon Advanced warfighter games.

But back to Ocarina of Time... It's like the birth of the 3d fantasy action adventure game! The epic boss fights are par to none, like the Fire Serpent in the Fire Temple, Phantom Ganon in the Forest Temple, and of course, the massive Lord of Darkness wtfpwnall Ganon at the end. Probably the greatest boss fight in gaming history.

And don't forget Link, the perfect hero, and the father of gaming fantasy.
Which leads me to want to start a new topic...

Belive me , it's not from magazine , and it's only the 0.25 of the full. It's even bigger than Brad's (maybe :)).

I played them all and there are few which I didn't complete.

1)NWN2 - I wish it wasn't destroyed by it's expansion. I don't mean the story and stuff but it no longer supported the original NWN2 campaign. The only great problem about both is that together they cost more than 10GBs of Hard disk space.
2)WC3 - I wish Blizzard would start work on it's sequel.
3)NFSC - Wonderful Racing game.
4)LoK:D - Yeah, there are many bad crits about it but the only fault I found was that certain textures were stretched to much and the sounds were not so good. But then there is the awesome effect when in the spectral realm, etc...

NWN 2 MotB was in fact a sequel to the official campaign , as you can see , like you can see that warlock Amon , and talk about what happened to the other characters , and in the end , if you were good and had all the pieces of the mask , you can see that you return to crossroad keep , and meet khelgar.

I agree with all of your choices except Carbon. Carbon, with the possible exception of Need For Speed Underground, is the worst NFS game ever made. It was just bad. the environments were small, structured, and you didn't really have much choice when fleeing the cops, it was either drive on the road or knock over a gas station and blow everyone up. The visuals were meh, and the car list alright. The worst, I think, was the car performance. Arcade racing games have been moving steadily towards the moment where they will find the balance between arcade and realism, being able to have fun, and still being serious at the same time. Carbon did not get this. The reason Most Wanted doesn't get up here is because it had massive outdoor environments, which actually made free-roam with the cops and excellent experience, despite the lack-lusterness of the rest of the game.

Not enough horror? Are you fucking shitting me?! I played Silent Hill 1 when it came out, I must have been like maybe 8 or 9 tops at the time, and I had nightmares for months. It was an amazing game, very well made, scary as hell.

i have silent hill for ps1 and some birds and dogs and chieldren attack you, only in hospital when some shit attacks you is scary and creature from sewer when youre killing it with crossbow or something,
well thats scary
[edit]
and doom 3, when some shit jumps from dark corner on you, and last boss fight, awesome, and i have cold fear but i killed too many zombies in my time to be scary from that
and i had fear with swat team and little girl, it was not too scary, you only walk trough the door from girl, its not hard to run or kill retard swat
but thoose are all scary stuff i have(mabie i have some more but i cant remember)
the best game is gta san andreas and soo gta IV :)
Few images of my andreas :

res evil rules
I absolutely love the resident evil series. Total fan of it =). I just started getting into it, and now I'm playing Resident Evil 1 for GC. The graphics in this version is amazing compared to the older versions. You should try the GC version. Much more scarier ;). Also, you can check out my game: Resident Evil ISG. It's a simple survival game and almost all data was based off of Resident Evil.

Ah, Gish was made by those crazy guys over at Reflexive Arcade, no? It's a fine desktop game, though my desktop game favourites goes as such:

1. Codename Gordon (Come on, it's Half Life Metal Slug- with a CROWBAR twist!)
2. Audiosurf (I'd pretty much call this a desktop game, and it's so beautiful, PC Gamer UK describes it as "A near religious musical experience" and they're 100% true on that.
3. Crimsonland. This game is everything you could ever want in a desktop game. Zombies, aliens, insects, its got it all, and tons of weapons and powerups to choose from! It's so bloody brilliant, all you have to do is create a playlist of fine tunes (I recommend We Are the Night by the Chemical Brothers, which is what I listened to while I beat the game the first time through), and have fun blowing the hell out of all manner of monsters.
4. Peggle: So, cute, so... fuzzy... so horrifyingly.... addictive....
5. Armadillo Run: For all of you math nerds out there, Armadillo Run is for you, this desktop game is about completing physics puzzles with the smallest use of resources, and people actually compete to finish a puzzle with as little spent resources as possible (some of the solutions are insane and I never would have dreamed of them), but the game basically revolves around your cute little Armadillo-ball somewhere on the screen on a platform, and another platform with a portal somewhere else on the screen. Using a variety of different materials, you must get that little ball into that portal by any means possible, on a budget! It's also madeningly addictive.

  • Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne (Favorite game to mod)
  • Condemned 2: Bloodshot (Best PS3 game so far; awesome gameplay and storyline [First game's storyline was better, though])
  • Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Got old for me now, but the SP missions are fun)
  • Motor Storm (Favorite Racing Game)
  • Dark Messiah Might & Magic (Best Medieval FPS)
  • Counter-Strike: Source (Always was a great game)
  • Stranglehold (Love slow-mo killing everyone! But a very easy game in SP)
  • Dynasty Warriors 6 (The best of all DW games)

At the moment, I am addicted to Condemned 2's online matches. Especially "Crime Scene" in the "Farm House" and "Underground" levels. I highly recommend the game.

To quote myself from the other favorite games thread,
1. Obviously, Deus Ex and its sequel is number one on my list. Proclaiming its superiority is totally worth getting -repped for.
2. Ever 17: The out of Infinity. It's a Japanese visual novel (mind you, there's no hentai in it). While only half game and half story, it has one of the most brilliant storylines I have ever had the fortune of encountering. If not for the utter lack of gameplay, this game totally would have surpassed Deus Ex.
3. Starcraft. Most addictive game I have ever played in my life. Sure, Warcraft 3 was definitely a step up, but Starcraft was the first.
4. Paper Mario. No comment.
5. SSBM. For me, that game is ageless.
6. Fatal Frame. Imagine you are playing a horror game. Now imagine it is actually scary.
7. FEAR. Same as above, but slightly less scary, but gameplay makes up for it.
8. CoD2. I've heard 4 was badass (I've never played it before), but this one is just addictive.
9. Tales of Symphonia
Lloyd: Here, it's hot coffee.
Colette: Thanks.
Lloyd: Hot isn't it?
Colette: Yeah... really hot.
Lloyd: It's actually iced coffee.
Colette: What?
Lloyd: I had Genis make it cold.
Colette: Oh...yeah, of course it's cold.
Lloyd: I lied. It's actually hot.
10. Halo, I guess.
