As I said in the last contest about the first 10 keys, I want to win a key for my friend. If I'm allowed to do it...
Alright, I haven't done very much for the wc3 community.

My best project this far: The Defense of Dros Delnoch
Everything is based on a book I've read.
It's an old empire that tries to hold of hordes of Nadir (A kind of barbaric people).

I haven't done anything better yet, I think.

I've made some other maps, that I don't think is worth showing. But whatever. I want that key to my friend!

Ashenvale Template
http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps-564/ashenvale-template-1-1-a-97866
This is just a basic template in ashenvale, it may have helped some people. I'm not so sure. Anyway. It was just something I made in short time.

300 - The Battle
http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps-564/300-battle-1-1-beta-95601
I haven't put much time into this map either. I just stop worked, and I've never though about taking up it again. Anyway. It may have been fun for someone.

I have some moore maps. But they aren't submited. :(

I have made a model that actually succeeded to be approved. http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/models-530/desert-bunker-124587/. Some people liked this too and actually used it, so I think this is something good.

I have also helped the community to do requests, like terraining, fixing some triggers.
I have also given construct criticism about maps submited here.

Well.. I haven't done very much moore. Regret that now..

I made some fairly nice models and icons and even a map :p
My aim for sc2 is to be there from the begining and to help exploring the modeling stuff. I'd also like to make new models from scratch even though it will be a pain to do so.
I'd really like a beta key for me and my brother. Myself, I won't be able to play much in the next couple of weeks but my brother sure will. I hope you allow me to share the key with my brother. If not, ignore this post.

I intend to be deeply involved in a mapmaking project in StarCraft II. I don't need a key to use the editor once it's released, obviously, but testing stuff online would be very helpful... I'll start off with a full and complete map that I will later spend time to create a premium-quality expansion/sequel-type thing.

Anyway, I created some clans, often reached the maximum clanner limit, and pay for a webserver where my stuff exists, forum included.

My maps are fairly numerous, but the ones of note are:
Mafia
The party game, in WarCraft III format. This was a virtual nightmare to get to a point where I could host it and reasonably expect to complete a game. It's best to play this privately, but it is indeed possible to collect some newbies and play through a game without too many leavers. I made up some extra roles, but mostly this game sticks to a slightly modified version of the standard rule set. Quite a few people have played this one.

Battle Mages
I spent a lot of time on this one, mainly because it was one of the first long, serious attempts at a full map that I did. It turned out to be rather unoptimized and overfilled with content, including a couple shallow gametypes (though the main one is correctly balanced and fleshed-out). In general, however, it's a very solid map and will be the spiritual predecessor to the map I'll be making for SC2. A great deal of people have played this.

Phase Killer
This map is probably my weakest, due to fundamental gameplay reasons. It's overcomplicated and more of a cult map than something useable by a new person. Even I can't remember all of the item combos (some of which require over a dozen different items combined in a specific order), and the gameplay flow is 90% searching for items and 10% chasing people or running from people. At least it's polished and looks cool, and has two (later, three) different dimensions that the players can travel between.

Russian Roulette
This was more of a joke map than something serious, and I should probably make a quickfix update, but it has its own AI. Basically, the players play various variants of Russian Roulette, in hopes to win. It's fairly entertaining for the first couple playthroughs. I guess some kid in his basement can play all day with the computer AI if he wants...

I also made a few (several dozen) map reviews, privately. I gave up on multiple occasions because I ran out of time to keep up with the stream of review requests. If I start up again, I'll have a faster system, for sure. At one point I was asked to be a map reviewer, but I turned it down because I knew I wouldn't have the time... Probably one of the best choices I made that year. Being a map mod does not look like a fun job, with all the chaff to play/weed through.

Yeah...

Hello, I'm here hoping to get a Beta key, Me and my brother have been following Starcraft 2 since they first announced it, And been very enthusiastic, We've tryed to get beta keys from the facebook contest, But couldn't seem to get one, I'd love to get my hands on the new editor and try the game in beta, This key would allow me and my brother to try it out, I hope you can give us the chance to try it, I've been with the hive for about 2 years though i've only recently registered, And though i havint actually submited anything to the hive i hope to start skinning for starcraft 2 models, Cause warcraft 3 will sadly be dead late this year, Regards Jared Allen

Before you read, I'm a little unclear on the rules. I posted my reason for wanting a key in the last thread, however didn't read. So if you can only make 1 post in the whole shibang, feel free to ignore the rest of this because Ive already lost.

Why I deserve a beta key: College Application.

I am a junior in high school who is preparing everything for college. I am interested in Video Game Design as a major, and so part of my application will include a video of me explaining a mod I created in either warcraft or starcraft (with video of the mod I created). I have been playing warcraft 3 and using the editor for years and years and years. I feel like a strong basis of my modding is ability is the knowledge I have of the game. I know all the abilities, all the units/structures, all the terrain pieces, how the game functions, all the user-interface tools, the GUI triggers and how best to optimize them, etc. Now what I have been thinking, is that I could make a much more visually appealing game with much more personality with the Starcraft 2 editor.

So why would I need a Starcraft 2 beta key if It doesn't have the editor with it yet? Well the way I figure it the sooner I understand Starcraft 2 and understand how the game works and how all the units/abilities functions, the easier my time will be when making my college application mod. Time IS a factor since I will need to have the mod/video assembled for around September.

I believe my game will be much better by using a Starcraft 2 editor then the warcraft 3 editor as long as I have proper time to fully examine Starcraft 2. Ontop of this I would love to participate in a beta and I am a long time fan of RTT games (yes RTT, not RTS, as RTT is more specific. confused? google.). So I would really appreciate a beta key to essentially help get me into a good college. Plus I'm sure I could use it as part of my resume for a real job someday. Thanks.

I'm not a great modeler, terrainer, spell maker or something...

However i'm an active member of this community, and i have uploaded here all my maps/spells and of course helped many people with their everyday problems.

I want one of those keys...so i'm gonna post what i have done to help you, in my free time.

Contributions? My mapping history begins from 2003 when Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne was released. Obviously I've made a lot stuff, right? Not really.

First few years I spent learning the editor. Then in 2005 I moved to thehelper.net and started helping newcomers and I totally call that my biggest and best contribution to the mapping community.

I always aim for perfection and uniqueness - and I am the worst perfectionist the world has ever seen. When something doesn't look how I want it to look, I just dump the idea instead of fixing it. This is why I've only released two maps to the public, The Platformer and Space Shooter.

I'm sorry that there are no pictures or even download link for the original The Platformer in it's thread. I was so stupid and updated the thread with my new platformer project. As for the Space Shooter thread, I was stupid not to attach the images to the post itself, and I'm not sure if the map file works in newest patches. The Platformer is side-scrolling platformer - a type of map many probably thought wouldn't work out in Warcraft 3, but it did, as you can see from the comments. Space Shooter on the other hand is a shoot 'em up type of map, where you control a spacecraft and shoot stuff around you while evading them. It was never finished, because I couldn't maintain it. Those are both types of map that look nothing like Warcraft 3. That fits perfectly my uniqueness-fetish.

Currently I am working on XANID, which as already received a nice amount of good feedback without even being finished. I have yet to see a bad comment about it. This project would've been impossible to make without the help of hive. Thank you.

I've also tried modeling (you may laugh), texturing (I won it!) and iconing (Pyramidal Defence by Cohadar for example). I've helped with some bigger names such as Gaias Retaliation ORPG and Cowardice TD.

I think I wrote all I wanted.

I have contributed a rough 1500 posts of help, 350 posts of suggestions (which could've been interpreted as whining, but thats a point of view ) and the other 250 of miscellaneous weird humor. Also, I gave the people the most useless map available (but due it's uselessness I never uploaded it in the map section, only my Pastebin): Disco Chicken!!

I have also given a few theories, although most of them couldn't get lift-off, because I lacked the skills, like my http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/modeling-animation-276/customised-character-theory-131843/, which I could never make because I lack modeling skills.

I've been around the community for a while, and made a few resource. A minimal selection of icons, and a single map, and a few tutorials resources are not where my main contribution lies.

For the past few months, I've been helping out around the community and trying to keep the place clean. One of these days really soon, I'll actually sit down and moderate all the pending tutorials, but mostly I just stick to the forums as of late.

I think my contributions are well 'nuff known that I don't really need to go into stupendous detail.

Thanks fer readin'.

I used to be an active TheHelper.net member (profile) and former administrator there. Left the site for personal reasons about a year ago.

Author of TESH, now part of the NewGen pack.

Co-author (along with MindWorX) of the Reinventing the Craft project. The RtC project had some very nice activity recently and both me and Mindy are now very interested in exploring the inner workings of both Starcraft II and its editor, once it's released.

Thanks for taking my post into consideration.

I wonder what happened to the other 80 keys?

In an attempt to comply with the "rules", may I present my only remaining outdated resource?

I do have some ramblings about the "rules" though, note how Ralle kind of implies that you have to list ALL of your contributions or you'll break the "rules". However his post doesn't establish if breaking the "rules" gets you disqualified (it even suggests that it won't, by explicitly stating that the first "rule" gets you disqualified). If breaking the "rules" doesn't gets you disqualified, only two of them are effective. These two are:
- You may only make ONE post. Doing otherwise will get you disqualified.
- Don't post if you don't want one. You will get punished.

It looks like you might ignore the latter one, but keep in mind the punishment may include, but is not limited to disqualification. The rest of the "rules" can be seen as suggestions to improve your chances of being selected in Ralle's unknown selection process, which may just be pseudorandom selection (and you wasted your time carefully writing a post).

Now if the "rules" gets you disqualified, you may, as stated previously, need to list all of your contributions to the Warcraft III modding community. If that's the case, Drake. will likely be the only one (so far) qualified for selection, if he or she wasn't lying or just plain wrong. If someone else qualifies, it's still likely that Drake. will get one of the 10 beta keys, unless a lot of people try to exploit this loophole.

I haven't contributed with many resources to the site just 2 maps http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps-564/new-order-v1-49-a-111230/ and http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps-564/footmen-freakv1-93-a-81882/?prev=search%3Dfootmen%2520freak%26d%3Dlist%26r%3D20

I have like every one ells helped people whit modding. and got some people from my ones great clan ''FTYF'' to start modding and joining the hive community.

but I cant pull my self together and get some of my many half done maps or models done cause I keep believing that starcraft 2 soon will come out and then most wc3 players will play SC2 instead.

and the Star editor for SC2 is coming out soon!! I cant wait its going to be awesome.

Hmm my contributions...

I guess this should sum it up:
 • I helped a lot of GUI users clean their spells before i learned JASS and i pointed a lot of GUI users from the spell section to tutorials in our tutorial section.
 • Currently helping Teuncreemers with his The Oakwood project as a second scripter.
 • Currently helping xD.Schurke develop a JAVA project(EditorX) which involves WC3/SC2 and JASS/Galaxy scripting languages by giving feedback and ideas.
 • Oh yeah, i wrote a tutorial about GUI indexing, how to use indexing properly, etc.
 • Entered several of scripting contests on THW(dunno if it means anything, got 2nd place on Hero Contest #2 :p).
 • Helped around the triggers/scripts forum back while ago, also did request spells/systems back then.
 • Had about 10 or more resources in the spell section before the evil spell section purge. (old resources)
 • Currently helping Xarwin with his Hive Battlefield project by suggesting new ideas(maybe beta testing also later).
 • Helping random people which are interested in GUI/JASS via PM's :p
 • Developed the most efficent GUI missile/projectile system on THW which uses the method from my tutorial :p (here)
Maybe i made a difference on this site, maybe i didn't :p

Since most of my work was helping individuals or helping out on a project.
I am too lazy to actually finish anything of my own so no maps in the map section from me.

Ok, so I have been playing the original StarCraft since I was five (in the year 1999) and have been a Blizzard-loyal fan ever since. I got my friends into playing StarCraft and Warcraft III, but they were somehow able to get their hands on keys. I really think I deserved the keys more than them. I have been waiting for four years for this game to get released, and the only thing that is holding me back from killing someone is probably the fact that I can play other games while I wait, but I don't know how much longer I can wait. The main thing that I am looking forward to in StarCraft II is the Galaxy Editor, and I'm currently having to deal with the impossibility with current tools to make my own units without Warcraft lagging. (Starcraft II won't lag because of the massive 3D engine updates since Warcraft III.) I'm getting extremely pissed off at everyone flaunting their Beta keys, and I think a loyal Blizzard fan of over ten years deserves some props. Please consider me!

EDIT: I have made a few maps (not on this site), and also made maps for the original SC and Brood War. I am currently working on a project that is still in it's larval stage, so no real info could be found here.

I was the first one who suggested "thistype" as keyword for the vjass language* which is probably the most misused keyword now :)

I am also part of the biggest German mapping community at http://warcraft.ingame.de, wrote some tutorials 123
and helped many people on the forums there

I created some terrains for some maps, especially for anxiety (his unfinished AoSes were definitely worth it) and for quillravens BattleIsle

I also managed to finish some maps by myself, druids vs shamans and some smaller maps

I made some youtube-videos about mapping. (e.g warcraft 3 third-person-cam-demo which shows a mouse controlled third person cam with RtC)

Well, the most mentionable thing to the end: There is a boss in quillravens awesome map Footman XT which is named after me :spell_breaker: and in Water's Footmen Wars there is a pig which is also named after me

I just can't wait for SC2 to come out, as of late I'm been playing the original Starcraft to prep for the sequel, but since I never got a beta key, I won't have real strategy for SC2, so I'll be noob just as everyone else.. But hey, I'm not complaining. I just really love to have this beta key because I've been following the starcraft story and playing it for as long as I can remember.. This would be awesome if I could get my hands on this beta key! I have not made any contributions on the WC3 Modding site as of yet, but I'm working with the Memoria Team in their upcoming ORPG, I've created their website if you'd like to see it. http://www.memoriaORPG.co.nr/ ( Most of the site is under construction, since the map is still in it's early stages )

Oh man... I really can't Compete with these contributions.
I made a caveman skin recently that was pretty decent I think. I just try to provide lulz with my entrys to the contests because I'm not really a serious guy. I've reskinned a Sammy cube and a Sammy kobold in the past texturing contests for the lulz. I just like to make people smile and laugh, even if my jokes are lame. Check out the retraining contest page 2 or so. Here's the link to my caveman.
http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/skins-552/peasant2-blp-157097/?prev=search=Caveman&d=list&r=20
cheers

What have I contributed to this site?

I've provided a large amount of custom resources for mappers to use. Models (both model edits and scratch-made), Skins and Icons.
Some examples of models I've provided are the ones based on the Super Mario series (Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Koopa Troopa, Toad etc.), other examples are either releated to other themes (eg. Kirby, Leoric, Beta-esque Dreadlord and Beta-esque Ranger), or being generic (eg. Queen, Snails, Stingrays and Demon King Statue), or something lulzy (eg. Shit, Mr. Mucus Boogerson and Furglewurg).
I also have knowledge of 2D digital art, so you also see a few freehanded contributions in the skin and icon section as well.

I've made two mediocre maps. One game and one demonstration. The game map is based on a classic NES game called Wild Gunman.
The demo map pretty much shows the Thwomps (the angry blocks) acting similar to what they do in the original Mario games.

In the days when I was a moderator, I helped approving and disapproving resources from Skins, Models and Icons section. I removed/edited inappropriate posts, I removed/moved/closed/opened threads, I negrepped/infracted/banned rule-breaking users, and (with some help from Septimus) I checked IP's on suspicous multi-accounters.

Sometimes, I report stuffs to the staff.

Sometimes (and when I feel like it) I help or give some hints/tips to people.

I joined hive almost a year ago now, in hopes of becoming a good modder.

I have learned many things about Wc3 and am glad I joined.
I have learned to make icons, and have contributed icons I have finished to hive.

I have made maps but never finished them, I am in progress of making three now, two of which are on my own, the other with a large team of supportive members.

I have helped many people, with many problems including but not limited to: Triggering, Terraining, Object editor help, Hero ideas, Item ideas, Map story ideas, Descriptions, and much more.

I have contributed to the site as much as possible with the time I have online, and I will continue to do so, even after the release of Sc2.

I feel many of these people should get beta keys, and that this is a good way to bring popularity to hive workshop.

Here is a link to my resources, I am currently learning to model better, and I am learning to make spells. So expect more in the future.

That is my bit for the "Resume" tpye post, and good luck to all who get a beta key.

Well, I have been really excited for SC2 since it was anounced. Always been a fan of blizz games, and especially the warcraft and starcraft serieses.

I am a modeler by trade here, but I dunno if my skills would be up par to work in SC2. Still, I'd love to see those models up close and in action. Just watching them in action, it would give me all kinds of ideas for what I could do. I shiver in anticipation just thinking about playing SC2.

So Ralle, if you choose me then I thank you from the bottom of my heart, but if ya don't, then congrats to all you other people that entered and got a key.

Although I haven't done much for the hive, I am an active member on this site. Although I don't do much, I help many players in GUI triggering and give my regards and comments to many resources. Although I may not deserve the beta key, I hope I can still support other players.

I don't want a key (srlsy just wanted to post this because im bored.)

I've made some models & helped terrain some maps.

~End sarcastic post.

I first started sucky skins. And i grew up reviewing maps and giving suggestions/feedbacks to resources.

I also become a duck referee (lolol).

And practiced icon-making, and it went well.

And here comes Race-building contest #3 and Texturing Contest which I participated.

I also submitted two maps which are conversion of wc1 and wc2.

I practiced modeling and submitted some models. With it, I created a model & icon request thread to help people. And I entered a modeling position of FoD by Alagremm.

Hey there!

I've had warcraft 3 since 1999 and haven't stopped mapping since.

I've probably created 20+ speedmaps for small inter-clan competitions, and submitted a few projects that I worked extensively on.

I've also done extensive help on the trigger/jass/map editing forums here at the hive as well as on thehelper.net in the past.

I've made jass and vjass systems for all to use, and my maps remain completely open source and unprotected to this day.

Long story short, I can't wait to get the new editor open and play around with galaxy! But first I'd like to understand the new techtree and maybe play through the campaign.

Here are a few of my contributions:
http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps-564/very-scared-footmen-004-a-146346/
"Very Scared Footmen", a speedmap created in 100% open source vjass and features "perfect" leakless script.

http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps-564/battleshipstourny-032rcc-81981/
"BattleShips Tourney Edition" a total conversion from sked's original battleships map to 100% vjass including additional ships, reworked weapons, new abilities for all ships, and a brand new terrain. The project has so much to be still worked on however, that I've halted production.

http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps-564/hunters-hall-008-a-164630/
"Hunters Hall" a speedmap which has since been converted to a full game. Props to the half-life mod "natural selection" for making me think of this concept, in which 2 teams of 3 players battle with very different races. A hunter team with a ranged weapon versus an alien/beast team with some very abnormal abilities.

Cheers,

Edit: I've been around awhile, and if it counts for anything, SFilip and dark.revenant deserve keys.

It looks like I am past the 24-hour deadline, but I figure I might as well try.
My contributions:
- MDX squisher, which makes MPQs compress MDXs more aggressively.
- MDLX converter, which converts back and forth between MDL and MDX model formats.
- Warforger, which was a modeling program that I never finished, but I think it was somewhat usable when I stopped working on it, so maybe it has helped someone out.

Predictably, I want to make a model editing program for Starcraft 2.

Edit: After looking at the tools section, I remembered two more things I made: a MDX exporter for Milkshape and a tool called MDX Pather which changes the texture paths that an model uses.

Hello there.

I've been working on my project since 2004 and now it's one of the most played maps on battle.net, was spotlighted by blizzard, Featured on Nibbits and received an hononable mention on Hive. I was invited to participate in other projects, but I thought I would end up disapointing the community if I stopped giving in to my project.

When I first started this project, I had to buy a new pc and an original copy of w3 (both were very expensive here in Brazil back then) and I had to quit some classes in college to accomplish deadlines for my project. At least now I can look back at what I've made and say it worthed.

This is all dedication I can tell. Hope that's more or less what you're after.

I started moding long ago...When i just got warcraft, then i made sucking maps and so on. After a little tim i discovered the hive and wanted to make something. I also sucked on english so i mostly couldn't understood what were people telling to me so there was a large aera of cnp. Now i started making something worth to be called a model(i mean my predators). I also want to help alagremm at making his mod.Now i am preety busy with schoold (1 high school class / aka 10 school class) i need to pass a lot of exams(almost 2-3 every week) and don't have enough time to modding. I also made a lot of maps wich can be used as patrs of bigger maps. Somewhere in the past i started making a campaign, but i stuck with the triggers so the project has fallen. Now i am making some requests for people and its all. If i get a key ill be happy , if not i will also be happy becouse some one more worth as me could get it.

Dear Ralle,

I joined wc3sear.ch in 2005, and was a bit of a “noob” back then. My post-count to join-date ratio may be an indication of inactivity, but I have nearly always been looking at the site from a distance, only posting when needed and never posting rubbish.

Now, I had a spell on this site that somehow disappeared, so I cannot link it; however, I have won a triggering contest in the past which shows I am not completely useless.

Most recently, I have been posting StarCraft II related content; such as getting out the maps to the greater public, sparking some interest to the Galaxy language and I also uploaded the music to youtube as well.

The StarCraft II key would allow me to explore further and release any interesting information to this site. I am also looking forward to creating maps, possibly reviving the genre of escape/maze maps in StarCraft II and I will also be looking forward to playing the ladder.

Yours truly,
BoneBreaker

Ok.
I have not contributed much to the Hive because half of it has not been approved or has been rejected, other than that I am now a very active member of The Hive workshop.
Yes I may have joined at 2009 but before then i used to skim through the site looking at people's post. I've always been a Blizzard Fan, i love their games and i really want starcraft 2.
I have played and finished starcraft the original.
So i really want that beta key!!! :cute:

I have contributed to this community by holding the diablo 3 warcraft forums running, aswell as keeping the project alive for a long period of time.
I feel that i have accomplished something with diablo 3 warcraft (togheter with the others in the team ofc!) by spending so much time just to make it to what it is today.
I was also the one that convinced cloudwolf to make it a team project, and that is probably one of the main reasons to why the map reached this far.
I have helped members out when they are in need of help in many situations.
And i would also like to say that i boosted some activity through the diablo 3 warcraft forums, we got a few members to the site only becouse of that map.
And ofc i have contributed to the hive chat by sharing all my love (and hate :D) ;-)
I know that i am not the creator of d3w, but that does not mean that i havent contributed.
And not to mention that Diablo 3 Warcraft actually happen to be the most downloaded map on the site, and it reached the top in rapid speed. And the downloads is still increasing. Within a month it may even reach a download count of 100.000
I cant even believe how much people still enjoy the map even though we havent updated it since 12th Nov 2009, and that version pretty much only contained a few bug fixes and some new terrain.
I think this itself says that we have contributed to this site. And with access to the starcraft 2 editor we will be capable of doing so much more than this. And i feel kinda alone here, becouse both redmarine and cloudwolf already have access to the beta.

Hi. Originally a user here called Werewulf, I came from wc3s.earch when it deceased itself. I consider myself a long time hive/sear user, being into the wc3 community since I was about 13 years old (now 19).
I was later promoted to staff with the help of Wolverabid and aided in the moderation of the model resources and in chat. I believe I was the one that went through the entire sear.ch transfer to remove all Wow models I could find and detect, and thus aided drastically in keeping them off Hive to allow and encourage people to produce models that are of both artistic, original and useful value.

Although after many leaves of my position and coming back, with hiccups every now and then, I have helped in moderating the art forums (in large part, finding art related theft in contests, threads or resources), reporting posts in many threads, and moderating most things relating to icons, models and skins either resources or threads.

I have contributed a large sum of my wc3 work to hive in order to help the community and to display my work as an artform for people at hive to enjoy and to use in their projects.
I have been in and out of projects (or aided indirectly) that have had some form of relation to hive I assume :p
I have also been a chat mod (with some minor leaves) for about a total of 2-3 years and try my best to provide for hive when I can.
If users come to me with questions I do my best to help them with their question :)
When i come across a thread that inquires for help that I can provide for, I offer my best words of advice and answers to their question.

Most veteran hive users have noticed the contributions I have provided to Hive over the years although noticing my change of personality from a very rude and arrogant person (that some still think I am) to someone more quiet/modest and watchful over hive who has a habit of going onto chat rants to discuss hive problems or let off some steam that people can relate to :).
Trying her best to greet and help new users when she sees the opportunity to do so and providing as much help and advice to the functions and mechanics (when given the opportunity) of hive so hive can be a friendly, non-bias and helpful site for everyone.

I made few maps but nobody noticed them ( or they got rejected ).
I learned alot since then thx to ppl here and I helped some ppl with their stuff.

I also gave a lot of reputation ( a lot ) to some random ppl if I found that their comment is useful in any way.

And I have a sick little brother and doctor said he is going to die if I don't play Sc2.
noT.

Sry for the bad English.

This one looks more chalenging!
Okay, firstly I had a minor map that still Needs Fix... well, it was quite fun when I was waiting a year for mod to write a few lines about it and make it "Needs Fix"... http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps-564/tleno-castle-siege-v0-6b-99442/?prev=status=r2&u=tleno
Secondly, I'm one of main characters of this machinima comic created by Alagremmm:
http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/members/160705-albums2651.html
After that comic there actually a whole RP came up on daily peasant... you can check it out, we have more posts and uploaded pictures than any other group (Actually its an RP kinda based on terraining, you have to make terrains about your actions).
Also now I'm working on few maps, but because of upcomming SC2 I'm not sure if its worth finishing them, altrough I haven't seen any maps like them here...
except that I also give suggestions to other maps very often. I gave ideas and I'm in a credit list of such maps like Cruiser Commands and such WIP projects like Space Engineers made by Mort.
Maybe thats not enough to win something, but thats all I got.

Well, I'm just an average user, tbh
I like to come into chat and join in the different kinds of wacky conversations people have.
I do like to try and help people where I can (however small that area may be :p), be it giving feedback on a resource or *attempting* to help out with a tricky bit of triggering.
That's about it for me, then :p

Offtopic: Are you allowed to post again? and who won the first round? [/offtopic]

Hey, i'm ikillforeyou, i never played starcraft 1.. =( but, i've been playing warcraft 3 for 4 years. i've learned every aspect of modeling mapping and triggering, i can do most things that doesn't involve complex math by myself.

I frequent the help forms, and i've probably helped over 100 times, for triggering, modelling, or just general map editing.

I'd love to have a sc2 beta key so i could start learning the language and play ladder, which seems to be fun.

I also want to play with my brother, who also got a Starcraft II Beta key (he's a wow player =\) and it would be fun to play ladder against him.

Thanks, ralle.

Greetings, Hivers!

I do not know whether you still know me or not, but here I am anyway.

What have I done for the community? Well, I started with triggering in GUI which was not quite a popular field, continued with terraining on the private sector and then started icon making where most people know me from.

I submitted about 70-90 icons during my whole carreer, 60 of them got apporved and are still around, some I removed myself to keep the section clean with only the best icons.

I tried to help people as much as I can to learn and improve, I even wrote a tutorial to show my way of painting.

I got third in one of the spell contest but I realized that this wasn't what I wanted to do.

I admit there have been bad times for me and that I have also done some things I am not proud of, but I learned and did my best.

The decision is yours.

I joined the site back in the wc3sear.ch days, but only became really active during the last summer. I think I had less than 100 posts before that.

I spend quite a lot of time here at the hive on a daily basis helping people with whatever mapping problems they have.

I create triggers and systems for people, for their maps. I've done quite many spell requests. It makes me happy to help people and solve their problems.

I've uploaded a few spells of my own also for people to enjoy.

I, Damage have contributed to HiveWorkshop in the following ways.

Firstly, I joined HiveWorkshop as a means to advertise my upcoming map projects such as Damage Team Survival (see signature) and also to gain constructive criticism on my work (see http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/map-development-202/magi-deathmatch-arena-157616/) and learn new techniques (see Iron Roots) to further enhance my modding capabilities.

As a map maker, I tend to keep very close to my fans' desires. Reading through the thread associated with my team survival map should evidence this as I strive to improve every aspect of my map to meet with everyone's approval - even at one point going as far as to hotfix problems within an hour of them being discovered by my diligent play testers.

When not catering to the followers of my maps, I spend the majority of my time and posting in the World Editor Help forums. I would probably say that about 90% of my reputation bar has been garnered from this zone and I will continue to enlighten the masses on the glories of the editor - be them new or experienced - to better serve the Warcraft 3 Modding community as a whole.

I also assist in the alpha testing of other maps and give objective reviews and constructive criticism where it is due, giving points for improvement so that the resource maker feels empowered and not belittled by my suggestions.

I hope to be able to continue on a distinguished path on the HiveWorkshop to be able to add some notable accolades and submitted resources to my profile and become one of the many shining beacons of this site's community.

Over and out, Damage.

Beta keys! It seems that everyone I know has one, except myself of course. I'll try to keep it concise since you don't need a tonne of words to go into detail, and walls of text critting for over 9000 damage are annoying.
