So there people are like 'oh noes, teh communists', like Poland or Ukraine? And yes, thats a democracy, American democracy. :D

Do you people really think that this country is that, that low...? there is no way you could get someone to vote twice here unless you made them a second social security number,- and I don't think Corporations have as much say in who gets elected, but what they do sometimes.

But it doesn't sound so good over in that peninsula of yours. Schooling system must be terrible over there, (that's why he is here

Piracy is so high in Croatia that buying an original (if you can find where to buy it) is almost considered a crime. I don't know a single person that owns an original PC or PS game. P.S. I laughed my guts out on food translations from Velm.
P.P.S. Hate betwen our countries has faded over the years after the war. Forget the past, live for the future.

Kiseli kupus: Acid cabbage.

Prebranac: Beans but a bit different.
Karadzordzeva kobasica: the best sausage in the world.
Greek Giros is pwnge.

sarma: ground meat and spices, wrapped in cabbage "leaves" and cooked to perfection :9

kiseli kupus: cabbage, marinated in special liquid called "rasonica" then chopped up into big peaces and cooked.

Kacamak: corn flower... pap? oO made with some cheese :9

prebranac: as said, special bean stew made from various bean types.

Karadjordjeva kobasica: indeed the best sausage in the world

sudzuk: a type of spicy sausage very loved in Kosovo

Pitije: gelatinous "pre-meal" made out pig skin, shredded into tiny bits and garlic. (believe me it's delicious :9)

If you are Japanese then you probably will never eat our food :/

Buzz, you're wrong, minus ten points.

You can basicly can make any dish, on any spot of the Earth, at any time.

Example - Stamppot: Curly kale mixed with potatoes, served with gravy(, mustard,) and rookworst sausage. It's yummy, I sometimes put butter (and a bit of salt) on it so it tastes creamy.

You can read up some recipe books and try to cook it up, but if you don't know someone who has done it numerous times before, the actual food won't come up the way it would come up in the origin country.

Okay, since we're talking about food, allow me to say my two cents.

As much as I love exotic cuisines an am always curious to discover new flavors and meals, my DNA urges me to declare with 95 % exactness and 5% latin pride that there is only one cusine that deserves the qualification of gastronomic ... and it's french food off course.

I have tasted food in Germany, Mexico, Czech Republic, Netherland, Italia, Swiss, Spain, and a lot of asian cuisine prepared by genuine friends from Vietnam and China. I adore it, but none of these cuisines possesses the refinement, the exquisite and complex balance and science of french cuisine.

Try to find a good cheese outside France ... even in Netherland, waiters were saying with a smile that they were embarassed to serve us local cheeses. Same thing with wine, bread - after 4 monthes and a half in Mexico, although I terribly miss tacos al pastor, I almost had a on orgasm when i ate a bit of baguette, before I swallowed my whole plate of sautéed mushrooms in exactly 3.4 seconds.

So as I said, I'm french, I live in paris since two years ago. Beautiful city, quite stressing but I don't mind.

I don't want to appear arrogant or what ( even if I am, like every frenchman), but if we consider that a gastronomy is a coherent ensemble of culinar traditions with a high refinement, with a research that elevate it to the rank of art, and that makes it famous all over the world, well France is at the top.

Actually, I think only France, Italy and maybe Japan can pretend to have a gastronomy.

I mean let's be honest ; our cooks constitute like 70 % of the best chefs in the world, we have a record of restaurant possessing three stars. There are tourists that come only for that. If you look all the english terms of cooking, it's mainly of french inspiration : chef, sautée, gourmet, etc ...

Once again, I am personally not a big fan of the whole french cuisine, because I prefer more basic stuff ; BUT, by national honesty, I have to say that we simply have the most exquisite and elaborate food in the world.

But be sure that when I'll visit again eastern Europa, I will try and enjoy all the meals you've listed.

Well, I'm from Argentina. The home of the Tango and one of the bests soccer countries. :)
Home of Maradona, and people like Perón and his wife, Maria Eva "Evita" Duarte de Perón. (I think maddona has a song with this, i think is "Don't Cry for me, Argentina" or something :D)
and, of course, the most beautiful human specimens of the feminine gender live here! (hooooooooot chicks, trust me.)
We are one of the biggest countries in South America (i say, territorially).
We fight against the englands in the war for the Malvinas Islands (yes, the FalkLands...)
And we loose. :(
Today, we hav a reaaaally poor economy, because our fucking president (Stupid Kirschner!) And we hav foreing debt of like 12000 to 15000 GB! xD
I Like my country, but i dont like my government! :(
In conclusion, Argentina is an earth of contrasts, lamentable and horrible contrasts. God willing, some day we can change, because I know that we have potential to do it. :)

...........................

By The way, i see that hive is like United Nations in Order to create Wc3 maps! xD xD

I am originally from Germany, but moved to France some years ago. I find that both countries are great. Espacially the french cuisine is really great. Unfortunatly, it is true that most people here (in France) are unable to speak foreign languages :( Therefore people might think that frenchs are "snobbish". But that's not true! They are lovely people, extremly friendly and very hospitable! And they are striking a lot (damned that really sucks!!!) and Frankly, french girls are *wow*!

I like Germany, my native country, too. I like the German beer, which is to me the best beer in the world! The people there like partying and German night clubs, espacilly those in Berlin (my native town!!!) are great! ^^ On the other hand, I don't like Germany's cuisine (apart from bretzels) and germans' "I-obey-to-the-government" attitude. (that's true, the government puts laws through, that suck and the whole country is like "oh that sucks but I can't do anything against it"!! a bit contrastly to France, where there are striking the whole day along. Striking is some kind of national sport in Frane, I think. ^^)
