Story
Background Story
Twelve peaceful years have passed since The Great War ended. The war that lasted centuries but no man could recall the reason of. The age of despair, bloodshed, loss and grief is now past. The new age brought the opportunity for human kingdoms to rise, as humanity has broken free from the grip of the dragons.

This story focuses on Kingdom of Balgaron and three famous Dragon Slayers: Phodom, Fradz and Galeoth. Each of them starts their journey in different places, but they will eventually meet eachother and join forces along the path. Together, the three are forced to go a conflict beyond their imaginations.

Lead them into an epic world, guided by a strong storyline that covers hate, love, war and peace.

The honored Dragon Slayer Phodom gave up his life as a warrior and began a new life with his wife and his children, far away from the capital of Balgaron in the small town called Dalli. All his plans were going smooth and easy until someone steps into his life and changes everything...Fradz is a young energetic Dragon Slayer known for his short temper and bad manners. This silly thief is a very powerful warrior and it is said that he even killed powerful dragons single-handedly. After the war, Fradz went on many journeys, but one day a mysterious voice told him to travel to the famous Dragon Inn to meet someone who was once very close to him. Fradz accepts this new journey, as he knows that he cannot decline it...Galeoth, the son of a legendary Dragon Slayer lived up to his father's name and became one of the leaders of Balgaron. After the war, Galeoth still believed that the war was not yet over. His obsession to find dragons led him towards the Icy Mountains where he is about to uncover a horrible secret that will change the fate of mankind...

All abilities remade and new abilities: Battle Banner, Fiery Ball, Fire Power, Ultimate Sacrifice, Counter Attack, Energy Shield, High Strike, Crystal Plane, Galeoth's Order, Illusion Army, Magic Convert and Magical Fog.
'Critical Chance' attribute added! It starts from 5% and it can be increased various ways.
Now also Strenght increases Critical Damage just like Agility.
Chapter 5 Pumpking Quest's second cinematic updated.
Chapter 7 Epic Boss removed the terrain deforming to decrease lag.

Vacuum's area of effect reduced. You cannot grab items from far away anymore.
Background stories and so-called "Books" are completely added to all chapters in this version.
Every single Spell Book spell has been added to the campaign!
Many new items and item changes. For example, superior items, which costs a huge amount of gold, are added to middle chapters; however, they're worth it!
Improved the multiboard a lot. Now it is more informative and better organized.
Combat kings once again rebalanced and changed. The major thing is that now they all cost 2 Honor Points.
Espers improved and made even stronger. Please come and tell me what you think about the Espers now. I've seen that players don't use them and I really want to make them useful.
Many changes to the starting packs! Now they should be balanced, every single one of them!
Stealing improved; now it shows the percentages.
Easter Eggs added; currently just 2 but there will be a total of 12 Easter Eggs. Check them all out!

Now each STR gives 20 health instead of 25.
Now each INT gives 10 mana instead of 15.

Chapter 7 is now opened.
Boss points are now removed from the game. You can still change your Boss points to Honor points by writing this code: "-change".
Remade all item, ability, spell, esper and all other descriptions: they are now shorter and easier to read.
There is only fire, ice, and lightning spells now.
Improved multiboard by a lot, added some new stats to it also.
Added new combat kings and new spells. Combat Kings now only go up to level 5.
Added some more tactical meaning to the battle: some abilities can do or use buffs called Brittle, Stagger, and Bleed. For example some other abilities can use these buffs to deal increased damage.
Now Special abilities will increase by every level instead of every fifth level.
All professionals are now universal.
The Critical Damage bonus starts from 100% instead of 0%. The chance to do a Critical Hit is still 10%.
Once again, more items.
New Spell System: Instead of spell books you can easily use spells from left corner just like potions.
The file size is now bigger because I imported some resources to the campaign. The expected file size in the end will be about 120mb to 140mb. I hope the file size won't be a problem.
New balanced attack and armor types: Sharp, Blunt, Magic, Light, Medium, Heavy, Sturdy and Elemental.
Now some enemies are categorized as Summoned, Undead, Drgon and Monster. Some items and abilities can do extra effects to them.
Now enemies won't do their abilities while stunned.
The campaign is now optimized and protected. All thanks to Shadow Daemon for creating the awesome "campaign optimizator" program".
Fixed some bugs.

Most of the item descriptions are updated.
Some of the items are remade.
Upgraded Lucky Boxes and put new unique items.

Now there are only two magical balls instead of three. Also now they give solid magic bonus instead of percent.
Removed Phodom's speciality that gives plus one Dig Power every 10th level.
Also changed Professions bonuses.
Some of the spell book spells are remade and balanced such as first Fire Spell.
Added Game Panel where you can for example eat food, move your boxes and cast espers.
And many, many other changes. Once again so many changes I simply cannot remember everything.




Save & load combat kings and spell book spells are fixed.
Restore Panel fixed.
Fixed vitality system.
Six new Galeoth abilities: Chill of the Frost Master, Frozen Storm, Icy Barrage, Inner Light, Mesmerizing Ice Crystal and Piercing Shard.
Combat Kings are remade. All high tier combat kings aren't remade yet.
After every cinematic units you had selected before will be selected for you automatically.
Now quests will give experience like before.
Fixed chapter 5 ending.
Chapter 1 Boss, Chapter 1 Elite Boss, Chapter 3 Boss and Chapter 3 Elite Boss battles are now improved.
Fixed Code Puzzle.
Fixed Kaza Leader Dialog.
Remade Chapter 5 Elite Boss Fight and fixed few problems of it.
Now Main Quest 3 can be completed right after watching The Bridge Cinematic at chapter 5.

Galeoth model is now changed. Thanks Fan for starting the model and making most of it and Kitabatake for finishing it.

A new system! Boss status system. All thanks for Maker who created this system.
Now Agility Stat will give critical dmg and evasion chance.
Chapter 1 Boss and Chapter 1 Elite Boss are now slightly stronger and they have some new special abilities.
Multiboard is now slighly different.
Fixed a large amount of smaller and bigger bugs.

Fixed(hopefully) loading problems with combat kings and spell book spells at chapter 4.

Illusory Double illusions now will take 500% damage compared to Fradz from 1000% damage.

Fixed Zwill Blade's synthesis, now it should be able to create.
Increased Phodom's base movement speed from 250 to 275.
Spell book spells are cooldown are now changed. Here are the cooldowns from first to fourth 90/180/300/once per chapter.

Fixed a bug and now Black Market sells the correct item: Third Hand. Now you finally can actually get the Thief Set at chapter 2.
Fixed Anthenex Esper's attack type.
Fixed Bronze Shovel bug and the dig power at multiboard.
Now Lightning Orb's buff should not give any advance to enemies.
Fixed Omega Orb and now it should summon Elemental Golems every 15 to 90 seconds.
Items Zwill Blade and Aerial Shoes are now made stronger




Chapter 3 is now open.
Fixed Combat Kings where they were always rested to level 1 after loading.
Fixed a difficulty settings in chapter 2 as they were too weak for the stronger difficulties. Now enemies are stronger as they should be(ATK: 0%/0%/10%/20%/30% & HP: 0%/0%/15%/45%/75%).
Changed Ground Zero's cooldown from 20 seconds to 15 seconds
Edited Aura Of Fire, now it also do damage per second.

Well, I highly appreciate any form of anti-cheating, but not in single mode.

Its not necessary to kick player when they use a cheat. Learn to be more player friendly. A simply warning message should be fine. A kick function will not prevent cheating, it forces people to stop playing your campaign (I had to restart map 2 cuz I didnt saved and the centaur chieftain forced me to "whosyourdaddy" :X) Very sad, as your campaign has a great storyline and all the details, terraining, spells, units, skins, pics, etc. show how much work you put in.

first of all you can easily make your cheat...second of all if you read up he says no cheating is allowed...third of all why do you want to use a cheat? fourth of all what does that cheat even do?


First of all I'm not editing any maps of others. Also I have my own reasons to cheat, in other words, that's my own buisness. Besides, this is only a beta-version. I always use cheats in my testmaps to detect bugs faster. Helps alot!

Aeroblyctos, hi it is me Linaze who made the icy spider egg texture for you, I just want to say that this campaign has come a long way and is now really, really nice. My only concern is the fact that most maps have spelling errors in them and also that the intro cinematics are often rather long, so if you die and haven't saved you must rewatch the hole thing, which isn't very nice.
Keep it up, Aeroblyctos.

Tomorrow I go to Turku. I will be there from from 13 to 25 July. I cannot do my campaign there at all. However, I may write some story there and design how everything ends. I wish you all good luck with your games and perhaps I can come here to visit if I find a computer there!

XD Hmm... to Turku? Well I think that Turku isn't holidaycity, you know :p.
I don't know is that perfect english but I nevermind xD. I think also that Helsinki could be better... still that I've been there 3 times... but only 1 time I was there about 4-7 days, I've already forgotten how long! :cool:

1 - All other campaigns have the dragon's head as an image, however, this version only has a white image. PLease ifx it.

2 - Nice change of the mouse interface. However, a sword or some kind of weapon would be more appropirated. Anyway I still
think that the dragon's head should be a lor more detailed =S
Anyway, you should try moving to the nest level, I know some Move, Attack, Stop Hold and Patrol Icons that
will be perfect for your campaign. When you return visit this link:

3 - Phodom's passive ability is great and I like it. However, we don't know when the coldown will end and I suggest that you
give the enemy units under this effect an aura icon, or some kind of buff.

Btw, the item system I am making is called SBBS (Simple Bag Button System). It is a system which uses dialog buttons. It is like the one in rotg, but better and more detailed =D

Okay, tomorrow I go to home. Then I can once again do the campaign. Firstly, I will do 3 new item sets: Holy Set(3 pieces), Unholy Set(3 pieces) and Murloc Set(6 pieces, little same kind of Excalibur)). Holy Set can be found from chapter 1-8 you have to do somekind of test to obtain this set(example pick a sword from a stone, requires strengh). Unholy set can be found also from chapter 1-8 but this time you have to dig them. I will change dig system so you can dig in every chapter everytime(also I repair sametime chapter 7 digging place, no more random).

Sorry. If you guys are so desperate about cheats, turn them off by yourselves. I prefer no cheats at all. I play every game without cheats and I think it's a good way. However, I have to warn you that cheats can make the campaing bugful...

Hmm, well then, let's have a solution then. I will put with bigger letters "do not use cheats at this campaign", what do you think? :D

Oh, yes I remember you. Yes, I know I have spelling error. In next version all chapter 1 spelling errors are fixed and you can skip cinematics. And that intro cinematic is long and boring, I disabled it in the newest version. I will remake it to beta 1.0. About dying, save often and buy some potions that bring you back to life!

I live in Helsinki and I'm not in Turku for a holiday. I'm here for studying two weeks. I study mathematic(I hate that) and english(I love it!). Now it all ended and I come back tomorrow!

Ok, I will write all spells cooldowns and also for this. Good suggestion. But I'm not sure why you are talking about aura effect? Why should I put this?

Hmm.... ok! I will edit all musics for next version. I just love to edit and listen music. I will add some musics more and give them better name. For example there will be "Phodom's Theme" or "Fradz's Theme" or "Galeoth's Theme" instead of current names.

Uuh, sounds hot! But I have never played "rotg". What's that?

So, next version(2.2 alpha) will include 3 new item sets + chapter 1 totally done. It will be in 2 week. After that, I will finish chapter 11 and 2.3 alpha. Then I finish epilogue and 2.4. Then beta and I close all maps. I think it will be about 1 month. I have three weeks before school starts. I really hope I can go to beta 1.0 before school.

So, after all, thanks guys for helping me. You are doing fantastic job and saving my time. And as you all know, I'm putting me heart to this project. I will now start to write alpha credit list. Perhaps I will add it to this post if I can finish it soon.

Chapter 7 - Glatiator Arena Fighter #2 Sir *something* (forgot), he recovers full health whenever he reaches low health, and he never stops healing himself, therefor making it impossible to kill him. !!

Suggestions
- you should add some more audiences watching the Gladiator fights.
- there are some places that look like u can walk on, but you cant, i know its out of limits, but u shud put an object there to make it look like its blocking you. Some places seem like it has an invisible wall blocking you., ex. Icy Mountains, lots of pathways in chapter 10, uncluding some in CRYSTAL AREA

My tiniest bug ever found xD

I've found veeeeryyyy tiny bug, it's not important but I tell it still:

In this thread Aeroblyctos you've written the version thing which can hide or show, there is spelling error, you write there -Full version is not yed (<--) ready. I know this is strange that I tell about this but... well nevermind just said that you know.

Okay now getting newest ver... da dhadhadha dadaa, job done!

Okay here is continue for this reply: I'm in chapter 2, in mauseloum (or whatever), and I'm next to a grave of someone (forgot name) and I see a purple orb left of it, in alpha test ver 1.8 I could take it, but in this version I cannot pick it!!! Okay now I continue.

Btw, you should take out the "Fuck your mother" part with the Hunter and Fradz in Chapter two. Its just going over the limit lol, not very nice. Just a suggestion, thought u should know, not many people might like it.

I'm now in chapter 2, I've crossed the river with boat, I'm in another barbarian village, in the upper left of the map there is ANTI-CHEAT-TAKER, so, I'm too on upper left of the map, I could kill ANTI-CHEAT-TAKER, so is it allowed and what happens if I kill it? Answer plz. :bored:

It's not a bug. You have to kill him fast. If I remember right, you have 20-30 seconds before he heal himself.

Hmm... you can't kill it. If you kill it you will lose.

I perhaps have found bug, you know the synthesis hacker? He is usually with 3 guys which can help you make recipes, well I'm in chapter 5 and the synthesis hacker should hit with pickaxe the anvil, but in chapter 5 he doesn't. :eekani:

Stupid stucking gates!

GRRR I'M RLY ANGRY NOW!!! I'm in chapter 6 and now I need to restart the WHOLE LVL!!! Only because of the stupid gates... There should be information that let other hero to other lever and thatlike but there isn't so I wasted lots of time for stuck. :cry:

Okay I thought that the digging bug was already fixed? Or if it has been fixed, it's bugging again, cause on my game it keeps digging same place until digging time is ended... :con:

I perhaps have found bug, you know the synthesis hacker? He is usually with 3 guys which can help you make recipes, well I'm in chapter 5 and the synthesis hacker should hit with pickaxe the anvil, but in chapter 5 he doesn't.

Ok, I will write all spells cooldowns and also for this. Good suggestion. But I'm not sure why you are talking about aura effect? Why should I put this?
Because it can be seen as an aura ... but now that you mention it, it doesn't make much sense in fact. Another thing about the passive spell, it also affects ranged units, they explode for nothing. I think, in my opinion, that for ranged units Phodom should use Phoenix Fire as projectile and hit them.

Perhaps you have a nice picture of somekind of weapon or something? I also think that current cursor needs something to fix...
Currently I am on holiday and therefore I have no internet connection. I only have assured 30 mins in a cheap cyber shop per day, and in 30 I can't make much research.

Really? That would be wonderful! What kind of is it? Example: Can you save items at chapter 1 and then give those items to Fradz at chapter 2. Or? I think it's same if you can give items from chapter 1 to 2 for example. But it maybe unrealistic. What do you think?
Well, the SBBSystem currently holds 12 items. It can be transferred from level to level, but I though you wanted a different bag per hero (lol). That can also be done, although it makes no sense because, at that point of game Fradz didn't met Phodom yet. Anyway, the system still needs recalibration, as it is not fully completed yet. I will try to improve its efficiency and I am working on another bag system as well, which will give 5 starts to your campaign and fit it in perfection, but it will be very very very hard to create and maybe to import =S. I still don't know if I can create it, but I am currently trying.
Anyway, the system, for now, it is just an ability and not an item. I did it this way because it was easier, and because I was not sure of what you wanted =P
You can download the first version of the system. Future versions will have code changes, the way the system works won't be changed in future (probably).
I also got another idea for a different version of this system. Anyway, when testing it, make sure you USE THUNDER CLAP ability =P. Also please note this is not the final version.
Anyway, this has the same idea the ROTG system had, but it is able to carry more items if I remember, and it is a lot cleaner and easy for the user to use.
Please comment the system ! =P

Hmm.... ok! I will edit all musics for next version. I just love to edit and listen music. I will add some musics more and give them better name. For example there will be "Phodom's Theme" or "Fradz's Theme" or "Galeoth's Theme" instead of current names.
Will you use any of my musics ?? Btw, I have new musics from Machinae, all form a great album, and I think you don't have them yet =P
Anyway, please fix the "net" bug that traps Phodom's family, even when they are dead, and fix that damn tree in the Golem's quest cinematic.
Btw, did you fix the text when the troll tries to assassinate Phodom in chapter 1 ??

i found another bug in the last chapter.
Chapter 10.
-i killed Axobada (if hes suppose to be immortal u should give him crazy repelish life)
-i was stuck in axobadas room. the monsters weren't moving at all, they all sat at the hallway. i couldn't reach them, therefor i could not kill them :(, so i had to load, cuz there was nothing i can do

Okay I thought that the digging bug was already fixed? Or if it has been fixed, it's bugging again, cause on my game it keeps digging same place until digging time is ended... :con:

word. lol same goes for me, i cant get Holgro's Second piece because of that :(

found another error :O

Phodom's Skill Meltdown. At lvl 5 It says reduces 8 armor. on monster it shows -10.
wondering if thats a error on skill description?
 
Hey guys. Here I am again. I present you all, the final optimized version of Simple Bag Button System 1.0. The system's structure suffered some changes in order to be more configurable and require less memory.
Also, Added the hero an ability that describes how to use the system. It is really pretty simple !!

About the super hard system CBS (Complex Bag System) I am working on it, but I really not sure if I can make it. One thing I assure, If I do succeed in making it, that system will require huge memory on your campaign.
There is also a chance that you may have to replicate all your items into a destructible (I explain later, but basically it will require 1 destructible per item) and most likely, all your maps will need to have a blank area of flat terrain, so we can make a little camera trick.

Yea, another bug. Now it's 3/4/5/6/8.

For Flame_Phoenix:
Your system seem to be very nice! It would be fantastic to have this system in the campaign. However, I think you should try to make these things better/fix:
- More space.
- When I have full inventory I take a item from that inventory it just dissapears(use "Hero - Create", no "Hero - Give").
- It's not in campaign. You should put this map to campaign and try if save/load works with this.
- Current text is little stupid but I will of course edit it later.
- Perhaps there should be a command to put all items from hero to system or system to hero?

BTW, your complex inventory looks amazing! I wonder why you made this if you are making even better one! And you are doing fantastic job for me. Thanks very much!

I realise Oelivert has some stange happenings in it but I find the Blue/Yellow lights in Chapter 7 a little un-realistic. Maybe there should be a boss instead?

Bang, bang, krash!

Okay I got REAL headache today (well not at all, just angry again), in chapter 8 I went to the spider door place and when boss spider came and I killed it I got Warcraft III CRASH! What's wrong in there? :cry: :cry:

By the way nice that this thread has 30 pages :grin:

What theee hell? Last time when I killed that I had no problems at all. I go check it out now.

uhm.. why cant i play the last chapter? in the final Battle map, after the cinematics, i get spams of "Please do not use cheats in this campaign" then it forces quit. i didnt use any cheats. it just pops out couple seconds right after cinematic

There's a bug in chapter 8? I started the Ozti-hunting quest, when I killed first one, I didn't get a tooth from it, but I got a tooth from EVERY other Ozti. And when I finished it beast hunter took ALL my 10 Ozti teeth and gave me the shield, still that he required ONLY 8 teeth!! I could sell the rest of them. :eekani: --> :con: --> :cry:

Oh btw, in chapter 8 should the Rot'afor fortress be visible or unvisible on the minimap? Before Warcraft III CRASH I saw it being visible on minimap, but after it just black fog.

Okay I made it through the whole campaign (expect the final battle map cause when I started it there came lots of do not use cheats on this campaign and then game over), and now I'm bored again :(! Btw you should add messages or warning if player is going to the place where chapter finishes, I missed much thing cause I thought I'm not going to right way still I did! Still this is exellent campaign I've ever played! Keep up good work :). Oh yet one thing - Could you add character voices to cinematics? It is hard to read texts and watch what happens same time. :grin:

I'm still not sure what puzzle you are talking about. If you are talking about the puzzle you got from a optional quest at church there is a boss after the puzzle.

Final map is coming soon. Yes I will add a dialog if you want to go next chapter. And I won't add voices, too much work and I think it ruins the feeling of campaign. Well, thanks for testing. +rep

Thx for your nice comments. Well, I'll see if I can add more space, This was just meant to be a test to my skills, to see if I could, or could not do an item system. I see it as a necessary step in my evolution.
Anyway, you can change the text easily, it is full JESP except for the amount of items it can store =P
ABout the bug, I didn't see it when I was testing the system, I will fix it soon.

About CBS, I am glad you like it. However, know that the user interface will be different from that one.
I am working so CBS can hold up to 60 items at a time and I am trying to fix some interface problems as well.
However, you should not take CBS as granted. It is a very difficult system, I am not sure I can handle it, specially when few people know how to make such things and mainly when many don«t want to help.
Anyway, know that CBS will take you huge amount of time to set up:
- You will need a flat area of terrain in your map for the system
- You will need a destructible for each item you have
- there is a chance you will also have to set up manually in the code the description of your items.

However, if I succeed, this system will make history (I hope) =P

Now I have to take care of some problems with CBS. I am now testing the interface and I have some problems I need to fix before I make CBS inner structure.

However, I have a problem with SBBS: how do I make a load thing ? I never tried it before =P
I know it is able to work inside a campaign because i use 1 var which stores the items and because it uses no cache.
But I am not sure of the commands I have to use to test it.Can you point me some tutorial ?
In the campaign it will be just like saving the hero's gold or some other thing.

why cant the box be summoned or moved? It is too inconvenient to store items as you have to walk a long way

yeah, lol. and btw in chapter 10. the boxes are right when ur heros start, but you will never be able to go back there because there are rocks blocking the entrance. maybe you should move it to the crystal area afterwards?

Well, current one holds 18. So at least 18 or more and the system should be alot easier of course. Rest is in your hand.

Now I start to do spells for the heroes. You can choose your spells at the beginning of campaign.
