Story
Background Story
Twelve peaceful years have passed since The Great War ended. The war that lasted centuries but no man could recall the reason of. The age of despair, bloodshed, loss and grief is now past. The new age brought the opportunity for human kingdoms to rise, as humanity has broken free from the grip of the dragons.

This story focuses on Kingdom of Balgaron and three famous Dragon Slayers: Phodom, Fradz and Galeoth. Each of them starts their journey in different places, but they will eventually meet eachother and join forces along the path. Together, the three are forced to go a conflict beyond their imaginations.

Lead them into an epic world, guided by a strong storyline that covers hate, love, war and peace.

The honored Dragon Slayer Phodom gave up his life as a warrior and began a new life with his wife and his children, far away from the capital of Balgaron in the small town called Dalli. All his plans were going smooth and easy until someone steps into his life and changes everything...Fradz is a young energetic Dragon Slayer known for his short temper and bad manners. This silly thief is a very powerful warrior and it is said that he even killed powerful dragons single-handedly. After the war, Fradz went on many journeys, but one day a mysterious voice told him to travel to the famous Dragon Inn to meet someone who was once very close to him. Fradz accepts this new journey, as he knows that he cannot decline it...Galeoth, the son of a legendary Dragon Slayer lived up to his father's name and became one of the leaders of Balgaron. After the war, Galeoth still believed that the war was not yet over. His obsession to find dragons led him towards the Icy Mountains where he is about to uncover a horrible secret that will change the fate of mankind...

All abilities remade and new abilities: Battle Banner, Fiery Ball, Fire Power, Ultimate Sacrifice, Counter Attack, Energy Shield, High Strike, Crystal Plane, Galeoth's Order, Illusion Army, Magic Convert and Magical Fog.
'Critical Chance' attribute added! It starts from 5% and it can be increased various ways.
Now also Strenght increases Critical Damage just like Agility.
Chapter 5 Pumpking Quest's second cinematic updated.
Chapter 7 Epic Boss removed the terrain deforming to decrease lag.
Fixed a lot of bugs you guys mentioned.

Chapter 9 is now available for playing.
Attack and Armor types remade; values are changed and Attack & Armor types are removed. I've made the campaign simpler, easier to learn and more effective this way.
Rebalanced the armor values of all enemy units in all chapters.
Improved chapter 3's ending dialogues (outdated).
Vacuum's area of effect reduced. You cannot grab items from far away anymore.
Background stories and so-called "Books" are completely added to all chapters in this version.
Every single Spell Book spell has been added to the campaign!
Many new items and item changes. For example, superior items, which costs a huge amount of gold, are added to middle chapters; however, they're worth it!
Improved the multiboard a lot. Now it is more informative and better organized.
Combat kings once again rebalanced and changed. The major thing is that now they all cost 2 Honor Points.
Espers improved and made even stronger. Please come and tell me what you think about the Espers now. I've seen that players don't use them and I really want to make them useful.
Many changes to the starting packs! Now they should be balanced, every single one of them!
Stealing improved; now it shows the percentages.
Easter Eggs added; currently just 2 but there will be a total of 12 Easter Eggs. Check them all out!

From this version onwards, a number of items can only be bought once. Choose wisely and try not to lose those items. You cannot buy them again!

Vitality system upgraded in various ways and I've some plans to upgrade it even further in the future. One big note is that now max vitality will only increases when an item is in a character's inventory.
Now every fourth ranked synthesis Item will require a Zozi to reduce player from getting too many powerful items at early chapters.
Now each STR gives 20 health instead of 25.
Now each INT gives 10 mana instead of 15.
Chapter 4 Wisps are now easier to catch
Black merchant can only be seen between 24:00 to 6:00 o'clock.

Chapter 7 is now opened.
Boss points are now removed from the game. You can still change your Boss points to Honor points by writing this code: "-change".
Remade all item, ability, spell, esper and all other descriptions: they are now shorter and easier to read.
There is only fire, ice, and lightning spells now.
Improved multiboard by a lot, added some new stats to it also.
Added new combat kings and new spells. Combat Kings now only go up to level 5.
Added some more tactical meaning to the battle: some abilities can do or use buffs called Brittle, Stagger, and Bleed. For example some other abilities can use these buffs to deal increased damage.
Now Special abilities will increase by every level instead of every fifth level.
All professionals are now universal.
The Critical Damage bonus starts from 100% instead of 0%. The chance to do a Critical Hit is still 10%.
Once again, more items.
New Spell System: Instead of spell books you can easily use spells from left corner just like potions.
The file size is now bigger because I imported some resources to the campaign. The expected file size in the end will be about 120mb to 140mb. I hope the file size won't be a problem.
New balanced attack and armor types: Sharp, Blunt, Magic, Light, Medium, Heavy, Sturdy and Elemental.
Now some enemies are categorized as Summoned, Undead, Drgon and Monster. Some items and abilities can do extra effects to them.
Now enemies won't do their abilities while stunned.
The campaign is now optimized and protected. All thanks to Shadow Daemon for creating the awesome "campaign optimizator" program".
Fixed some bugs.




New Steal System.
Most of the item descriptions are updated.
Some of the items are remade.
Upgraded Lucky Boxes and put new unique items.
And a lot of bug fixes.




Fixed a starting bug from chapter 3. It should now work properly.

Honor Shop Disabled. "Ability Bonus" system will be added later to the campaign that replaces Honor Shop Items.

Now there are only two magical balls instead of three. Also now they give solid magic bonus instead of percent.
Removed Phodom's speciality that gives plus one Dig Power every 10th level.
Also changed Professions bonuses.
Some of the spell book spells are remade and balanced such as first Fire Spell.
Added Game Panel where you can for example eat food, move your boxes and cast espers.
And many, many other changes. Once again so many changes I simply cannot remember everything.




Save & load combat kings and spell book spells are fixed.
Restore Panel fixed.
Fixed vitality system.
Six new Galeoth abilities: Chill of the Frost Master, Frozen Storm, Icy Barrage, Inner Light, Mesmerizing Ice Crystal and Piercing Shard.
Combat Kings are remade. All high tier combat kings aren't remade yet.
After every cinematic units you had selected before will be selected for you automatically.
Now quests will give experience like before.
Fixed chapter 5 ending.
Chapter 1 Boss, Chapter 1 Elite Boss, Chapter 3 Boss and Chapter 3 Elite Boss battles are now improved.
Fixed Code Puzzle.
Fixed Kaza Leader Dialog.
Remade Chapter 5 Elite Boss Fight and fixed few problems of it.
Now Main Quest 3 can be completed right after watching The Bridge Cinematic at chapter 5.

Fradz model is now changed. Thanks to Kitabatake who made it from the beginning to the end.
Galeoth model is now changed. Thanks Fan for starting the model and making most of it and Kitabatake for finishing it.
Whole stats based systems combined to one big, simple and more powerful system. Credits to Kitabatake for helping me creating this new system.
A new system! Boss status system. All thanks for Maker who created this system.
Now Agility Stat will give critical dmg and evasion chance.
Chapter 1 Boss and Chapter 1 Elite Boss are now slightly stronger and they have some new special abilities.

Illusory Double illusions now will take 500% damage compared to Fradz from 1000% damage.

Fixed Zwill Blade's synthesis, now it should be able to create.
Increased Phodom's base movement speed from 250 to 275.
Spell book spells are cooldown are now changed. Here are the cooldowns from first to fourth 90/180/300/once per chapter.

Fixed a bug and now Black Market sells the correct item: Third Hand. Now you finally can actually get the Thief Set at chapter 2.
Fixed Anthenex Esper's attack type.
Fixed Bronze Shovel bug and the dig power at multiboard.
Now Lightning Orb's buff should not give any advance to enemies.
Fixed Omega Orb and now it should summon Elemental Golems every 15 to 90 seconds.

Yes, but it's already a month since last version. And now I got more curves at the road to next version. I started to do spells and now I have to make whole new spells system. Oh noes this is going to take some time. :(

And that skipable cinematics... that's just so annoying to make. After I have finished chapter skipable cinematics I think I won't make skipable cinematics for other chapters. Just too much job. Perhaps in christmas or something. :D
 
Well, current one holds 18. So at least 18 or more and the system should be alot easier of course. Rest is in your hand.

Now I start to do spells for the heroes. You can choose your spells at the beginning of campaign.
Well, SBBS 1.0 allows for 12 items.
CBS will hopefully allow you to easily choose from 1 to 60 slots, so I guess if i finish CBS (and now that idea is becoming more and more realistic day after day) those slots will be more than enough for your heroes.
Also, I intend to add an "item description" area, where the icon of the item will be amplified and next to it you shall see the description of the Icon.
Right now my biggest problem with CBS are the cameras and the interface, I really need to find a decent interface background and I couldn't find one yet ...
Also, what do you mean with "needs to be easier to use" !? I find SBBS very easy to use, only some one who does NOT know English will not be able to use it, and yet it is very easy to configure.
About choosing spells for the heroes, you mean, you will need another user interface ?
And then when a player clicks the icon, you add it to the hero ?

Anyway, I have many spells, if you maybe I can help you with some.

Skipable cinematics are of crucial importance in your campaign. At least if you do NOT want the player to get bored very easily. Please include skipable cinematics to all chapters ... and btw, isn't christmas too far away ? you could that faster =P

Ok im starting to play the campaign and im on chapter 4...the marsh....so i went north eastishh, and killed carnivore, and a few whippers here and their, and for fun chamelons...and then i saw this random like plant with a mouth...thats unclickable...so i went to it and clicked my fire explode and spell and immetdily died.....-_- right???

*UPDATE* Ok i get it now, you die when you walk up to it, although thats a lil odd??

Well you know I went to that trap too... If you walk to its mouth you die - it cannot be killed... So watch out. :hohum:

ummm ok i beat chapter 4....and one of the riddle quesrtions said something like....Why couldnt the merchants enter Dalli village...i put the path was broken and that was wrong??!??!!?

Yes I (again, lol do you act like me?? :xxd:) too selected that first but second time I selected another and I got it right. :cool:

Well, I have been thinking. I will leave with this task, I'm sorry. Too much job, it would take weeks to do this and it's really boring to do it. This is not what I wanted of making the campaign. I want to have fun, and making skipable cinematics is not fun. Really.

Perhaps someday, I will make skipable cinematics, but not now. I hope you understand.

Lol if there is red gate ( I didn't saw when I was on that chapter) I notice you that still that if there is, it isn't required that you go there. There is exactly 4 places (whichs is blocked by gates) where you need to go and destroy 4 magic generators. One of those places require red key to open red gate, one green, one blue, and one yellow. Then head to north of the hallway (the widest path) to beat The Black Hooded Man and something other too...

Btw you've made spelling error: six chapter = chapter six.

If I remember right, Kitabatake made it work for single player also. Try it! If it won't work in single player let me know and I will fix it and upload new version of it.

hmm im not sure if this is supposed to happen mysterisly out of the blue, butn chapter 5 when phodom meets fradz(the retard), well later on i get this quest about messsssages, so i go deliver the first to the on slightly north east to the inn, and i was attacking wolfs and i wass shocked at how im getting owned...and i realized that im draining health??? not sure if thats supposed to happen

Ok here are more bugs. This time from chapter 2. Chapter 2 is, for now, one of the most bugged chapters.

Capter 2
1 - Why can't I move on ? You should add a message like "I can't go this way" like you did with Phdom in the Chapter 1
Besides, despiting the path blockers you place there, the hero is still able to attack the scorpion.

2 - Shoudln't it be "WildBoar Ninja" instead of "Nunja" !?

3 - Frad's ability "Teleport Strike" you say he doesn't take damage, but he there are multiple enemis attacking him, he will take damage and there is a chance he can die, thus screwing the spell baddly.

4 - When Fradz arrives for the first time to the bridge, in his first spech he says "needs to bay 200 gold. Fis it to "pay".
Then when talking to the soldier he says "we build the bridge, it took years" when it should be "we built the bridge, ..."

5 - Fix this tooltip

6 - If I kill Khutzi boar and bring his head to the barbarians before passing trhough the bridge first, the two cinematics (start quest and stop quest) will get messed up and the end quest will overwrite the start quest cinematic. Fix this bug please.
Even worse, after that every time i see a cinematic, about any thing, the cinematic I am seeing will get messed up and merged with the start quest barbarian cinematic ! You have to fix this!
I also suspect that if I kill the bridge boar the soldier asks me, before talking to him, a bug will occur ...

CBS uses an array storage system created by me with capacity for 1000 items for now. I think I can increase it but it all depends on the maximum value WE allows. Item numbers should not be a problem.
However, you will need to copy-paste the items description into the setup, and, as I said before, you will need a destructible for each item. This is the only way to do it, it will be a lot of work but it will pay off in the end.
Also, the system is occupying currently 3/10 of its total size. This means each unit only occupies 30% of its original size ! Still I may try reducing it to 10%, but I don't know how it will look after.

Not sure if it's been reported, in Kar'gath, the room requiring the red key in the bottom left is bugged. When you walk up to it, it unlocks the room just to the right of bottom middle (also a red door), it is impossible to get the bottom left door open =/

incredible map, best RPG i've playedso far. the terrain is magnificant, items are interesting (although the whole "if-you-didnt-get-the-item-in-the-previous-chapters-you-cant-get-this-combined-item-now" thing is really annyoing) i like the abilties, nice story line, and every thing seems to be generally balanced. lol i dont know if it was on purpose or not but the stashes can use the items (i have found this extremely useful, please dont change it).

Heh... there are a lot of items like that way. So if you want to be really strong you have to gather right items. This also gives a change that player will start from the beginning. Well, thanks for a nice comment.

Chapter 2 is quite long if you make all optional stuff, around 2 hour. Chapter 3 will be a little longer when I create elite and epic boss for that chapter and same to chapter 9.

So, you want to know when I release full version?
- We are now at 2.1 alpha version.
- 2.2 alpha version will come in week or two(will include bug fixes + chapter 1 elite, epic boss + totally new spell system).
- 2.3 will come in 1 week(unless I start to do more item sets)(will include chapter 11).
- 2.4 will come in 1 week(unless I start to do more item sets)(will include chapter epilogue).
- Beta 1.0 will come in weeks when I have done something. I don't know yet.
- Full version 1.0 will come after beta versions. This will still take months but this is hopefully final version. Then there is no more things to do and the project is finished.

Although that would seem a wise solution, you would make the enemy units run away from him. However it is the best thing I can think of right now as well.

uhm just wondering, i replayed chapter 1 and 2 and this time i literally tried to get everything and do every quest, but there is 1 optional quest in chapter 1 and 2 i cant find.
its left Undiscovered Quest because i cannot find the quest giver.

Good news, CBS is actually almost finished !!! =D
I just finished the description area a few seconds ago and it works very nicely !
Now I just need the background! The background will be a Cinematic fade Filter (I hope) thus saving a lot of coding and memory space. This is something never seen before in such systems, I guess I am much like a pioneer searching for a new way to do things. Anyway, After the background I will optimize the entire code, in order to make it easier for Aero to use it and transfer from map to map. Ofc that, before that will give the map to Aero to test. Note however, 1 stupid thing: "DON'T PLACE THE BAG INSIDE OF ITSELF" (quite stupid hã? But you can do it, so I will fix this thing later =p)

ANyway, please all wish me luck =)
 
Chapter 3
Bugs in chapter 3 are difficult to find, However I advise you to watch the cinematics, most of them have many grammar errors.

1 - This spell's description is wrong, The elemental summoned only has 600 mana points and not 800.

2 - The orbs description is wrong, The hero doesn't get and Ice attack.

3 - "By brains are frozen" ??? lol...

4 - This is a passive ability, there fore should have a passive Icon

5 - "Since the war with the dragonS ended", and "are at least doubled" to "they at least the double" or some other expression that can be correct in grammar.

That's why I wanted that hosted project title at hive so there would be a lot more threads to talk about this campaign. Now it's bit stupid to have only one. :(

Good luck! Remember to test it first with a campaign(not with a map!). And I will soon look new bugs you found!

And guess what? I just saved 10 mb because I reimported musics to the campaign. Now I have made a list of them and now it's easier to credit the makers. Oh yes!

And... it seems like chapter two is mess-up. Now I have to clean it. That is why there were some buff errors. Also items bug I don't know when did this happen but sometimes chapter two even crashes. Oh noes!

I feel it is something related to triggers.

ANyway, more bugs, this time from chapter 4:

Chapter 4

1 - "I have come" should be replaced with "I enetered" or "I've came to"

2 - I can kill the stags, please make the invulnerable =P
Also is it normal if they drop items ?? Because one of the stags I killed droped "Meat" item.

3 - I killed the flower but it's model is still there. You should find a death anim for it, or remove it via triggers.

Yeah, there is a rock almost at the middle of map. After that you have to follow those rocks.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL I found a strange rock which was an item, and there read: "Go east from here." (If that has spelling errors then it isn't my fault - that read on the rock) Well I went east but there was nothing! Are you sure that it was mean to go west or north or south or what? :con:

Btw Flame_Phoenix I found only the "Go to east from here".... Where the heck is the south one? And is there north and west ones too?

- First you gotta pick first stone at the middle of map(after you pick it, you can throw it away).
- Then go east. There is second stone. Pick it up(after you pick it, you can throw it away).
- Go north, then pick it up and go west(after you pick it, you can throw it away).
- Then pick it up and go south(after you pick it, you can throw it away).
- It should be south side of the river.

Hi guys, it's been a while since I last visited THW and it seems that the campaign has continued to advance. The last version I had played was 2.0, but looking over some of the posts I've missed it seems that Flame_Phoenix has already tested 2.1 up to chapter 6 at least. So, I'll be waiting for the next version that I understand is coming out soon. Also, I'm curious about the new bag system Flame_Phoenix is working on. There was a link to a simple bag system test map that I'm going to check out tomorrow (and is there a complex bag system test map that I've missed or is it simply not ready yet?).
