Texturing and Surfacing Mini-Contests - Information Board

Just to be clear, the medieval warhammer or the 40k one?

the 40k one, i've seen it done in dota 2, difference is its models. but i think its pretty do-able with textures.

Should prolly go for something a bit more wide-spread if it's a mini contest.
A generalized cliche theme would do, revolved around darkness, pumpkin and candies

I am super down for just a plain and simple Halloween theme, would be a ton of fun and room for lots of creativity.

Nah, Easter's past due. Maybe next time. About Orc Units, no we haven't done a mini-contest with that theme.

@Kyrbi0, we've already had Trolls, however, not for a mini contest.

I do prefer these themes in general though; races or "strictly one model"-contests. General and vague themes always put me off (i.e. Fire, Dark or something similar) and I despise cultural festive themes (i.e. Halloween, Yule, Kanamara Matsuri or whatever). I just want themes that allows me to create things that fits the game we're modding, Warcraft 3. And before you ask; no, no fun allowed.

However, if someone could come up with something similar to the Creep Warlords theme, I'd be all ears.

Hey guys,

I was thinking that the theme would be better off with Creep Spellcasters. E.g. take any creep unit and texture its appearance into that of a spellcaster. Bandits, Mur'guls, Centaurs etc...

What do you think guys? Also, as usual 2 weeks for the contest.
