Simple Model Workshop

This week I've been busy both with finals and the fact that any spare time I make for myself I end up regretting because it wasn't spend studying.

I'll try to keep tabs on how stuff's doing and start working on stuff again next weekend, but for the benefit of my future I really ought to focus on finals this week.

Oh hey, absolutely. Indeed, I actually took two weeks completely off of modding for finals recently. I'm sure you noticed...

Zyne, actually, feel free to take a look at the Batrider if you're bored; another eye/opinion wouldn't hurt, since all I'm looking for right now is the best configuration of Armor on him (not as straightforward as some of the other requests, I'll admit).

Very cool. Adding some ethereal effects and changing some parts will make this phoenix way cooler.

I'll edit the phoenix dragon soon so I can display it in my album or even upload it in the Model section

Eh? I've always read & believed that the more information you give to an artist, the better idea they have of what's in your head, what you're looking for, what expectations you have, etc etc. If you prefer, I could type

so tak the batrider and make him look cooler, liek maybe armor and some weapons but I dunno which ones try them all

... but that wouldn't get us very far, I imagine.

Hey buddy i got a request. I need you to make the faerie dragon's tail a little longer and give him a larger wing, like in this picture. Head also needs to be a little dragon-like.

Well, I would like to request that, but only with some changes:
- it's covered by little, spinning, mini-lightning balls.

Well, i wanted it's wing to be longer and stretch out, making the wings way bigger than the body, and stretch it's tail longer until people can actually notice it's body is as long as the tail. Another thing is if you could add tiny spikes on the tail and add naga siren's head-fin on his head, like in the picture provided and also remove those oversized ears (or wings...? o.0) on his head. I guess that's all but i wonder if you could make the tail straight instead of the curled tail.

Edit: Nevermind, just cancelled the request. Sorry for troubling.

It could work as a starting point, but I want more rock-like texture for the hands and feet, and the flame to be more white-ish.

As for the hammer you should upload it in the Models section, might help a lot of people.

yeah I wish I could pull it off too, but there's this whole the armor is divided into 2 geoset and theres no armor like that in Wc3, even his scarf is a problem -_-

I'd request a model to be made from scratch, but don't worry, it's not a very hard one. (Even I could make the model if I tried a lot and I've barely even modeled in my life)

Anyways:
Sort of a block with soft edges. Picture attached. It should have a tile texture put on it(Sunken Ruins Large Bricks).

The point is to have a tile model that also works on tilted surfaces.

No horns, make it have no wings and could you keep the long hair of the demon hunter but make it yellow ? I think that model should have a cool ninja like shirt so that it would look cool. Thanks again !!!

Troll Batrider WIP

Here's a version of the troll batrider that I just put together with some added armor and a fairly differentiable bat.

If you don't like the color theme or the fact that his armor currently doesn't have spikes, etc., feel free to say so. I'm throwing this WIP out as a first idea -- if you would rather I remake it as something different, let me know.

I didn't make the added armor and stuff because I thought it was the best way I could possibly make it, but because I figured I should just make something and see how it turned out. I guess that's how most models are; we're always expanding our knowledge. Anyway, I had some fun putting together this alternative bat rider so let me know if you like it as a base for your unit!

By the way, don't get too worried about the fact that there's a second skin taking up lots of space for his shoulderpad; if we decide to remove other parts of his model we don't want, space on his custom texture will open up and I can combine the two textures into only one to save space.

I simply want a purple version of the Doom Guard model, purple as in the color of the Eredar Warlock/Diabolist model. Thanks.

I forgot to say, I would also want his green flaming weapon to a blue flaming weapon.

-Demon version of Illidan, but surrounded in black flames (like the golden blood mage Zyne made)

-Malfurion (without stag), but surrounded in green flames (again, like the one Zyne made)

-Avatar (Mountain King), but surrounded in blue flames (with Kil'jaeden's flames)

So a recap, all three models, surrounded in Kil'jaeden's flames but with different colors.
