Meyla didn't hang around, the man's size made her uneasy. She pleasantly excused herself and zipped back up to the high shelves, resuming her hunt. ''Creatures of the.. No. How to... That's not. The... No use. Weapons, Wonders and... Argh.. Are ANY of Taiion's writings here?'' Meyla called down to Sunrah, continuing to throw books left right and centre in an apparently vain attempt to find some of the Vampire's work.

"I am Marais Lamente, nice to meet you big fella," he smiled and turned away. "So, when are we getting this show on the road?"

"Well, i'd advice you leave for the headquarters of Doras Preves Pathenie, or in common Speech 'Spirit Guides', as soon as you are ready.
I dont know how much they actually know about the gardener or whether they will actually help us find him."

Meyla ignored the instruction but rather burst out in frustration ''I don't give a damn if there private, if he wants us to risk life and limb for this organisation then THIS TIME I'd like to be a little bit more prepared''. She folded her arms and glared at Sunrah. Not the vicious entity induced glare of yesterday but one full of a hidden demand, one fueled by female hormones.
''Give to receive'' she stated simply, fixing him coldly.

"I'm sorry. I cant tell you."
Sunrah says, his facial expression slowly hardening.
"I owe Taiion my ability to think for myself, and i will not betray him."
Green flames started to emerge from Sunrah's eyes, and black tatoo-like patterns appeared on his face.
He spoke again, now almost a roar.
"I will make sure that..."
Suddenly an expresssion of terror appeared on his face and both flames aswell as black patterns disappeared.
"I'm sorry. Please, please dont ask me something like that again.
They live, okay? They're fine.
Can we get back to the task at hand? Please?"

OOC: Sorry I took so long! I blame science.

As Samael was grateful for all the kind welcomes he acted polite to each of the group members who introduced themselves to him. He sat back down after this and awaited and asked "What's the next set of business?".

Meyla finds nothing of real use among the books.
Ofcourse, they do all contain information of sorts, but most of it is history and myths.
Things you need to know if you're sitting chained in a chair while aiding a group out in the field.
"Well, as i have said before you need to pay a visit to the Spirit Guides, and i advice you to come prepared.
I dont know how it will turn out.
I suppose everyone is ready and rested?"
Sunrah said.

Sameal sat upright in the wooden chair and spoke "Looks like we are all ready for the assignment." he then stood up adjusting his armor and weapon for battle.

OOC: Don't think anybody is going to wake me..

Illios opened his eyes again and yawned before jumping up. He felt rested and checked if he had everything. Sword, chainmail and such and such.. he had it. He walked down and heard Sunrah speak.
''Ready.''

"On the other side you will find yourselves at the Spirit Guides' headquarters.
They returned to Roag just a few days ago, and are kind of... Well... Kept to themselves.
I dont know what you should expect from them, but dont to something downright stupid, okay?"
Sunrah said, the doorway now glowing bright teal.

Sameal stood up went before going into the teal portal he said "Looks like it's down the rabbit hole my acquaintances." and walked through the portal.

"I dont know whether we will see him again at all, Meyla.
If we force him back, what use will we have of someone who only wishes to get away from us?"
A dark shadow fell over the room as Sunrah spoke.
"Go. I will inform you if i hear or see anything on him."

---

On the other side of the portal the group found themselves infront of a massive building, constructed of black stone.
The only way in appeared to be a great wooden door, but it had no handles or levers connected to it whatsoever.

Meyla shivered. The portal transition was long gone, but the the group stood silent, all waiting for another to make the first move. An unnatural chill was in the air, it felt much colder than it had any right to be. Crossing her arms for warmth Meyla looked at the stock still group questioningly. Receiving no response she sighed and trotted towards the great wooden door. "H-h-how d-do -w-we?" she chattered, leaning in for a closer inspection. The door wasn't really a door after all, at least not a particualy good one, for a start... "It -h-has -n-n-no -h-handles!"
Meyla frowned, pressing both palms on the mysterious door and pushing with all her strength.

Samael still waiting for something to happen while Meyla pushes with all her might upon the mighty doors but seeing nothing happening he tried to offered some wisdom "I would assume these doors only open with any of the possibilitys such magical sayings or a ritual, possibly from the inside, or even they aren't meant to be open but I doubt they will open with brute force alone." He soon walked towards the doors to inspect any designs or instruction upon how to open them.

Sameal stood puzzled for a second then responded with "Maybe just maybe these doors respond to touch and Melya trying to push them opened they reacted to that touch." With this though Samael goes to the massive doors and removes one of his gauntlets and puts his naked hand upon them waiting for something to happen.

"Yes very strange indeed, but also interesting." Samael pulls over his shoulder a large bag of scrolls scavenging through them for some important information he says aloud "I thought it would be best to come slightly prepared to a unknown location now all I need is some information on this door."

OOC:I think adding a roll to that would fit best.

OOC:
A side note guys: No rolls are needed when checking if you have any scrolls/books that contain useful information for your current task as i (as the dm) know such things already. ;)

IC:
The runes left behind after Agron's second push remained on the door slightly longer, but nothing else happened.
Meanwhile samael found nothing on the big door, even though one of his scrolls mentioned that the spirit guides 'only guide those that know which path they seek'.

@Leo
DM: Search (DifLevel 4): Roll (1d6 +5 from Cunning): 3 (8). Critical Failure!

While the others were tapping the door with their hands and reading scrolls, Leo found absolutely nothing.

Seeing no result, Illios stepped forward and examined the door, looking for more clues. Thinking back of the teal markings he began to wonder what would happen if one would constantly touch the door, seeing as they had grown with each touch.

@Illios
DM: Search (DifLevel 4): Roll (1d6 +5 from Cunning): 6 (11).
A Six is Rolled. Rolling Extra Dice: 6 (17).
Rolling Second Extra Dice: 3 (20). Barely Succeeded!

As Illios' eyes scan the door he gets a sudden revelation.
On the door, in a just slightly diffirent color than the rest, is painted a huge symbol. He realises that it is the exact same symbol on the scroll with the Gardener.
Three diffirent places inside this symbol are placed even harder to notice preassure plates.
But... all of them are in places which other party members have already placed their hands?
On a closer look, they appear to slowly be moving around on the door in circles, changing direction and speed whenever someone is about to touch one.
As he realises this Illios gets a weird feeling as if someone is very happy with him.
DM: Illios gets +1 to cunning, and 1 Progresss Point towards getting the feat 'Spirit Vision' (1/3).

''Hey, not to interrupt you all but..'' he said, starting to explain his relevation them all. ''The symbol on the door is exactly the same as on the scroll of the Gardener. In the symbol lay three places which move in a circle and change directions and goes faster or slower once you touch them.'' he explained nonchalantly, while secretly proud of himself. The other feelign he had, though, amazed him. He felt content -- but it was asif someone else was watching over his shoulder who was also happy.

Meyla acknowledged him silently and approached the door once more.
"Let's see how smart the enchanter is" she cooed, reaching out for a pressure plate very slowly. As it started to move she reached out her hand for a second plate at the same pace. "And..." without warning and with incredible speed she shot both hands towards the third, originally unsought plate.

DM: Dexterity Check (DifLevel 4): Roll (1d6 +4 from Dexterity): 6 (10).
A 6 has been rolled. Rolling extra dice: 3 (13). Failure.

Meyla's hands zoom accross the door, but each plate forsees her move and all three targets evade her grasp.
