Well thats a tie...I demand a rubber match :p

Btw Shar i was wondering if Bloodclaw is or was somehow related to demons.By related i don't mean he is their puppy dog.

I am okay with your explanation.

Perharps Gardon was trying to persuade her to join him, giving her power in exchange of intel about the orcs. Given Gardon's resourceful and cunning mind, I wouldn´t be surprised. He has already proven to be willing to do anything in order to win, including legalizing dark magics like necromancy and demonology or starting a civil war among the imperials.
The way he acted after the orcs freed her was too much relaxed. He may have predicted they would free Vanessa so he planted seeds of corruption inside her so that she could divide the clans from inside. And he said 'you better get used work for me' to the leader of the Knights of Korme, implying he let them lose so that they would be forced work for him.

Hmm, it has been a while since I've created a really cruel map.
Well, let's get back to create a chapter then.

Excellent. I have been waiting for days...

I hope the map is complex, filled with creeps and enemies, and a lot of optional quests. No offense but compared to the other books, this book nearly had none and when there is, is just one per mission. In the human book there were at least two per mission and most somehow changed the progression of the story.
Could you please fix that bug where some heroes start with no armor whatsoever? Largoth died many times due to this (though given of how the sixth mission ended I wished he had died for good) and Rahandir was near death many times too (Rahandir is one of my favorite characters right now).

I cannot promise anything.
The lack of optional quests is a problem, I'm aware of, but I'd rather create few good ones that fit in the story than massive amounts of quests with no sense at all.

To be honest, I have not a clue what actually makes this bug appear - also, neither Kasrkin nor me have experienced it during testing and I haven't seen anyone else reporting this (I think, @all who experienced the same bug, post it here!)
Perhaps something is wrong with your WC3 files, do you have the most recent WC3 update?

The first time the sixth mission came out, in version 0.50, this appeared. After you released version 0.51, this no longer appeared, but after version 0.60 it appeared again.

Negative, you still choose the difficulty.
No, I mean do we have progressive difficulty in missions?

First mission being the easiest and the last being the hardest?

The other books had some very strange balance.

It was very anti-climatic when the last mission was much easier than the other ones.

Well i don't think that first mission being the easiest and the last being the hardest would be that cool. The campaing is overhall difficulty so i don't think we need that type of balance you are talking about.

@DD Mikasa: I'm not sure if that's what he meant - or what he meant at all - but I somehow doubt that this was it.

Announcement:
I'm glad to report that I'm now completely back, guys, and already working on the next chapter. Can't let this little throwback pause the project too long.

I think he want's to know if the Undead book has more than two chapters anyway...GREAT TO SEE YOU BACK AT TRACK.*Brofist*

Wonderful News!!:ogre_haosis::thumbs_up:

perhaps use 'Arcane Sanctum' instead of 'Arcane Sanctuary' as some players might get confused (Spirit Hint).
Bear Rider is a bit difficult to aim with Possession, compared to other units. Their model seems to have an issue.
Honestly, I would say those Elite are a big pain, they have Resistant Skin, Slow Poison and they hit really hard.
I must say this chapter really difficult in term of lumber, need some strategy to keep them in stock.

Didn't finish it yet, it's very difficult with those Imperial troops hunting your base from all angle.

I'll fix the name.
Yes, Elites are something you need to be aware of in this mission, they are a pain.
There's much lumber south of your base.

In order to win this, you should first focus on either possessing Sir Ross or destroying his base in the east. After that, you have to gather all your forces and get to the Mithril Forge. It's heavily guarded so you will have big losses.
Also, all in all, Spirits are your best friends in this mission (actually the only ones since all your units are possessed by them) and you should use them a great deal. There are many enemy units that can be possessed on the map and you have to use Possession a lot to create a strong army.

Yeah, they screw my forces like no tomorrow.
Just figure it out when I was in the middle of the mission.

Well, Sir Ross base was hit once, but I didn't manage to find him (screw camera), I'll keep the tactic in my plan tomorrow, didn't have much time for a throughout play. I use the spirit a bunch, just those annoying dwarf heroes keeps killing them, even those mighty Bear Riders and Knights :/
Also, is it just me or the main base is the only target throughout the mission? my super mini expansion (to the northeast) never get hit once.

Well, when you're done with them, there's no tomorrow for them. ;)

Well, the shorter way is still to get to your main base for the enemy.

Screenshots of Eight will come soon.

I just played the eighth mission.
It took me a while. I almost lost my base twice, before I ordered my army to return to defend it.
I was just about to possess the captain Ross (was it?) and then his soldiers interrupted me and I ended up killing him. I had no choice but to destroy the base. I will try again later.
Finnaly an undead mission with more than one optional quest! I loved them!
So 'her' was Vanessa, who died. Does this have anything to do with the Mistress of Frost I found in the Chapter Nine in the Orc book?

Chapter Eight Progress

Alright, a field showdown, Easy Mode. Start from Scratch so I can restrategize.
Bugs :
Starting Camera isn't instantly relocated to Krom Location

Suggestions :

Comments :
Successfully take over the Imperial Army, but I have to sacrifice Krom and about 7 Spirits, as well some heavy troops to suicide rush him.
Also, like usual, screw Elites. They ruin the attacks like no tomorrow.

Important Notes for Players :
Quickly take control of 3 Bear Riders at the North of your base (near the small expo).
If possible, overrun the whole outpost before the first wave of enemy arrives.
Build a Lumber Mill south of your base, this should take care of lumber shortage.
Send a mortar to clean the expo, if you haven't done so yet, but make sure no enemy soldiers lying around expo.
Krom must always keep a TP in hand for any sudden attack when attempt to destroy Imperal Army base (or better, posses Sir Ross).
If necessary, force a horde of spirit to bypass defenses of Imperial Army base (with Krom and some soldiers attacking front gate) and focus target to Possess Sir Ross).

This is not completed yet, will edit this post when I made more progress. Need some rests.
