Yup. That could be a very easy fix, no biggy.
Since the ability to "slow" enemies is considered a buff, you could apply the "slow" buff to the thorns aura ability (along with the thorns aura buff). That way it will act as 2 abilities in one!

Okay, for the spines sticking out or shooting from the anomaly, it wouldn't be air. The muscles would contract, creating a high pressure that, once released, would fire off the spines. Of course, that'd leave the anomaly open to future attacks without his spines.

As for the animation, you can use fan of knives. All you'd need to do is change the knives into spikes from the orc burrow or the Crypt Lord. Their may be spme projectiles that could work too.

Yes. It is easy to do. Simply remove the central fin, smooth out the back, and add spines of a matching color (look at the spines of the Nerubian Cryptlord for an idea). It would look very odd with spines, and a central fin together. The spines could possibly go as far as the head, perhaps become smaller the further up the head, and down the tail they go. Simply put, it'd be a model edit.

Well, that would have to be custom. Lets say... his shoulder area. More specifically, the shoulder blades. A custom skeleton, with transfered anims, and special anims (Defense?) where the area of his shoulderblades baloon outwards. The spined would soread to different angles. It'd look ugly, but it would work for the pufferfish defense anim. I'm not good with the animating, but it is something that I could do. I just don't know how smoothly I could merge it into the other naga anims for a (Anim_Defense) anim.

The animation for the spell would be easy. As someone said, use Fan of Knives. But instead of a custom model or crypt lord spikes as replacement for the knives, use the quillbeast projectile. its a small spike, perfect imo

And I don't see a problem with the stomach/back inflating at the same time. Just put some spines in the front to compensate for that.

And yes, the Naga would be "defenseless" without his spines. Just put a cooldown on his Spike spell

lol they could be filled with a volotile form of magic, where all they have to do is pull the trigger, and they explode. additionally, they could be cheap units with very little health. Meaning you can have a small army, but they can still be easily destroyed. One shot would work. It'd be a new tactic in warcraft, and doesn't spend all your money.

Or the naga discovered an explosive substance and attached them to their murloc slaves as an upgrade. It could be like the wips' antimagic ability, that kills them off. But in this case, it just hurts everything, builidngs and other units included. I think it should be a third tier ability.

The idea was simply to get the ideas flowing and get this group active again. (it worked)
If someone wants to start on a map then that would be great. Unfortunatly the only thing that I'm good at is terraining. I have no triggering skills. So that someone wouldn't be me.

I kinda got lost during this 20 page discussion of anamolies. What are we deciding for them? (so that I can add it to my list of accepted concepts)

I'm actually pretty good with plots, but I think mine would be a little too complicated and somewhat impossible for a warcraft 3 campaign. I wouldn't even know what to do to create some of my ideas. lol But if we really do want to create a campaign, it'd be important for everyone to know what each other can do. lol

And Misha, tha'ts why you bribe them. Give them an internets or... ponies. Everyone likes ponies now days. XD

VeljkoM, when I was working on the elemental race a century ago, I got Pharoah_ to do some triggering for me. He always seems willing to help if you need any.
