For the campaign, I was thinking of something like the Frozen Throne Orc Bonus Campaign.

After the Deathwing exploded rom the Maelstrom (or wherever he came from [cinematic intro shows volcano]), the naga are no longer safe in their underwater homes, and are forced to find a new one.

Moving West or East, they have to contend with other races as they begin their search for a suitable home (We can have something like the mission where the Orcs helped the Tauren.).

Obviously, this'll need to be thought out more. My mind is currently on finihsing a book before returning it to the library.

Second that. Melee race is the priority. The base map doesn't matter. Just pick any from wc3 or start with a blank map.

He just has an idea for a model..
But,
doesn't know how to model,
and..
he doesn't know which programmes to use

then he said. if he could just explain someone his idea of the model. so it still could be made.

So @ uuka. (I think) 'we' Suggest you read some tutorials which can be found here http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/tutorials/

To help you begin with modelling.

Good luck.

Give him a break, guys. Not everyone can model. Heck, when I started Hive, I found the naga Warlord, and I created a request thread. Someone started it, but never finished it. A few years later, var and Misha decided to both do it. I'm just happy someone decided to make the warlord I had requested. I say we let uuka explain what his model is. It might be useful in our campaign choices. Although a naga god does seem a little farfetched.

Also, I say we do a melee map first, so we know the naga aren't over or underpowered.

uuka, is your Ouetzaltcouatl by any chance inpired by the aztec god Quetzalcouatl?

Lore-Wolf, I rather not. I really dislike creating discussions that would never really get past a couple of posts. I have been keeping all accepted concepts in notepad. So whenever you need it just let me know and I will post it. However we really don't have that much.

If you don't know where to start I recomend doing the Hall, Adherent and gold mine. Then the slave cart and slave. Get the resource systems up before the combat.

Milkshape is super easy to learn, unlike Blender with its mess of a User Interface. 3DS Max is a far more powerful program though, and is as simple to use as Milkshape. Its a bit confusing at first, but should prove to be just as great. :) 3ds max is used for movies like the 300.

i LOVE blender, it's not hard, it's easy, just take your time with a tutorial, i recommended Blender noob to pro. it's free, online, and easy. the only reason most people leave it, is because they rush into it head first, and don't care for interface... once you know it, you can make stuff FAST, hell you can make video games with blender alone...

i would do milkshape, and 3dsmax, but i have no cash, everyone says "oh, just do the free trial" but if i did that, after a month, all that skill, and all the saved programs are gone... if one of you want to give it to me, more power to you, but i cannot do it on my own. and i am fair at animation, if i say so myself, i have not done tons, but what i have done seems to have come out nice...

Blender is a difficult program to work with. Not because it is hard, but because the User Interface "was made by a monkey on crack" as others have put it so delicately. I have yet to learn how to rig a model, much less accually skin one properly. In my opinion, it's like looking for a needle in a dumpster. Far too aggrivating.

I hear that if you get a student account on 3dsmax, you can get the program for free, for 4 years! :D (And ALL Autodesk programs, I believe)

I worked with trials of Milkshape. My mom thought I wasted my life on the computer, until one day, I showed her the extent of my work, and how to do it. She was so impressed, I managed to get her to buy me it. There is something to be said about getting different trials, or even trial versions. Witht hem, you can keep going no matter what. :p Some have extended trial periods than the standard ones. I ran into one that lasted me about 4 months. It was about that time that I got the real deal. :)

But if you want some quality, easy-to-learn programs, you can get a student account on the Autodesk site. That way, you get a free 2 year (might be 4 years) 3dsmax, r maya, or any of their software. It beats having to pay the $100 or whatever their prices would be. :p Autodesk's Maya and 3ds Max are the two programs used for movies such as Jurassic Park (Maya), and The 300 (3ds Max), The Matrix, Avatar: The Last Avatar, etc.

yeah, that and big buck bunny, my two favorites, there are a few others too.
Wow, we're really off topic, to fix that, i'll come up with an idea....

naga with crab claws, pins someone down and makes them unable to attack or do anything while hitting them with a bleed effect... and a 5%- def...

a murloc operated flying machine... drops suicidal murlocks, thats pretty unrealistic i guess... i'm just brainstorming here...

Coral treants?

a naga necromancer, who can summon skeleton Couatl...

yeah, i'm out of ideas, lets hope some of these helped someone...

naga with crab arms - sounds like grabbing and hitting people in smash bros.

coral treants - I think golems work better. coral is pretty fragile, despite them being sharp. Why do you think enviromentalists want to protect them so much?

naga necromancer - Like the idea, but if I recall correctly, all aerial units explode upon death, so there wouldn't be much left of them. I'd suggest the skeleton textured naga myrmidon.
