Epic.
Too hard to narrow down to a top ten.
These terrains are amazing but I have a question:
These terrains are epic but they seem a bit cinematic, though things like Shadow are obviously just art, were any of these actually used in a game?
None of them are playable. This is terrain art, not map making.
terrain art and map making can lie extremely closely together.
it's just that most people can't bring up the effort to add pathing, and if they do, they usually just make paths and leave unpathed crap all around. if one hole is found in these cases, the whole thing just falls apart :/
The Edge of Darkness, by thedeathunterxx.![]()
using pathing blokers just adds to de overall doodad quantity but you could press P to see the pathing so that you wont leave any empty gaps
Atlantis doesn't seem that good. Sure it's big. But meh. It's messy and honestly doesn't look that nice.
or a really super close up where you can only see a tiny bit, maybe, you know, a broad view, where you can see model details
now finally, while they are alright at times, are you ever going to make a terrain that is not a silhouette or a really super close up where you can only see a tiny bit, maybe, you know, a broad view, where you can see model details further than just the first line
they get realllllllly repetitive
We should definatly make a top 10 of the PLAYABLE terrain.. threads.
Why? I guess there would be 10x CloudWolf's terrains
Piwlady would have a chance too, atm, i think!
;-)
Holy mother of god ... most amazing terrain I have seen in my life.
