This map is amazing. It took me a few tries to get the basics, but when I did I spent 4 hours playing a knight in singleplayer. T'was amazing xD

I really love the mix between RPG and Survival with item crafting. The main questline is great, although a little short, and the optional quests are well-made.

I only had trouble with the Skyrim-themed puzzle in the top of the map. It seems the left brazier is the only one that gets lit (when the whale is facing south). Has anyone ever solved that puzzle, or is it not working properly?

Overall you did a great job. It's one of the best maps I've ever played. 5/5

Thanks for your comment, spear/javelin is a good idea I may add them as well as new zombies. Well about mounts would be too complicated and heroes have no animation for it.

A very fun map, I don't know if you updated before I last played which was a month ago or so, but I did enjoy the map very much so thought I should drop in and give you a quick review, the least I could do for your hard work.

I loved the map, it was a blast. I played it with my little brother, he a knight, and I a wizard. He spent nearly all the time trying to forge and make his own gear while I just ran around and did quest, and I must say, the Wizard was really unbalanced. I crushed quest on my own. I never tried frost, but fire and arcane was quite powerful, I can run up, blast, then run away and rinse and repeat at lower levels to take out any creeps including bosses.

At higher levels, I could spam heal and spam powerful blast to be a one-man walking doom army, me and my brother crushed the last boss at the end to the point where it felt... anti-climatic. I could have soloed, I went and soloed the skeleton grunt guy for fun. (Which was a running gag as my brother and his geared knight ran into the very angry eight legged beastie, got beat up, I went in, roughly the same level, and crushed it on my own. I believe I was level 4-5ish.)

I don't know if you balanced it already, but the Wizard is extremely powerful (but I do love the casting system.)

next update

Hey guys,

Next update will bring a total rebalance in leveling, mob stats and items.
I think the current leveling is not what I wanted to create. It is too easy to get levels from mobs. At high level northern area is too weak, the zombie waves also at level 6 or above. The five tier in items (white, green, blue, purple, orange) will have bigger diference in stats. I also link a few queset to a chain to be easier to find a few quest that is currently hard to find.

Idk how to make a thread about a map neither how to make it Good,anyway here's a short tip for Beginner:
*Remember to always Keep you Hunger bar and Heat Bar atleast 75 before going to other town in Night cause you will be probably more busy protecting your health then your survability
*Make sure to Finish the Quest in the FIRST TOWN as FAST AS YOU CAN,seriously the current wave of zombie is so random that even the first wave can decimated the entire village,so you need to finish off all the Quest (Main & Side) of that town then focuses on other town,unless you're a Tinker
*If you are playing as a tinker,quickly finish the Whole Quest in first town But DON'T Go to the Second town where you had to talk to the priest in order to complete the quest,Also you need to finish some of the Second town Quest including durak and make sure you save the money after that simply go to the North side of the map and complete the Wolf quest to get money easier after that RUSH to the First town and Make a BUNCH OF Trap near the gate (20 Trap is more than enough to defend the first town for eternity but make sure it follow the road)
*If you are playing with Friend i highly suggest one of you have alreayd been playing this map so you people have a little bit idea what the fuck is going on to decrease chance of Getting killed in the first 15 Min of the game
*Also for Tinker (im pretty much Pro at it) Put a Trap on each side of The Town Entrance to decrease chance of that town being decimated (Because some town can't respawn Guard like the Final (North East) Town)
*For Knight Always focus on Your Armour,the better your armour is the better your Survivability and your Damage
*For Rogue,always go through the Fetch this fetch that quest,it usually contain an Agility Based Prize
*For Hunter,HUNT littereally you need to hunt as your Main survivalbility depend on your Pet (Hunter is pretty damn Fragile) but Pet can't always be so reliable so it's best to get high armour as fast as you can before focusing on your pet
*For Warrior,Main Quest ASAP because the longer you play the game the tougher the enemy get and if you din't get Usefull item in the right time,your pretty much useless (except 1vs3 or less)
*Also there is a trick in the mission where you had to kill the Ghostly Witch in the Destroyed town (First Cutscene),simply find the Item that had an enchancement of either Critical strike or Bash (Slow/Stun) can greatly Kill her easily despite fighting in Small area,for the Bandit group inside house,simply ask a friend or pick a hero that have Big AOE Skill Damage

Today, my friend bring the Corrupted Ashbringer (not the Empty Botter) to the fountain and he got a Filled Bottle, lose the Corrupted Ashbringer, and then we are stuck. So most likely the Corrupted Ashbringer is treated like an Empty Bottle is the problem.
Wizard can unequip and reequip his staff, refresh all of his spell's cooldown. This allow him to stack several firewall, spam heal and meteor, permafreeze his enemy...

Zombie attacks are wayyyy overpowered. How exactly is a hero who hasn't hit level 5 supposed to defend against 2 hook-using abominations in addition to the rest?
The Wizard's frost bolt dummy is selectable (I'll admit having a giant ball of ice ask "Wot?" on the way is hilarious), presumably the other missiles are as well. It also keeps channeling and fires if the wizard is stunned (abomination hooks again).

Ehmm.. if you read my guide in the same page as your post,you'll notice that i mention to Finish the Quest in Town 1 as fast as possible,the Current Zombie wave are RANDOM some early wave can be as deadly as later wave or vice versa,Also if you still want to play as wizard,my advice is to finish the first town mission as fast as possible,save the main quest and quickly buy the freaking Purple Cloth best if you can make the purple dye shirt and focus on Fire early game it had a really damage advantage over other staff except the wind/thunder something? later on,anyway Best thing to do is focus to finish the quest,hunt and collect jute,sell them,buy pink clothe,find travelling merchant,buy Purple dye (5 if you can) make the purple dye set on the clothier (in front of the first town blacksmith poof,your good to goo till very late game where the first town was probaly already overunned,on which case if this really did happen,LVL UP as quickly as possible,because the A.L in the second or middle town is even worse than the First town,also if you can play it online or using battle.net and if you can have a friend who are either a hunter or a tinker (they're the best town defender class in this game,tinker is better later game though)

Yes i have notice it,but i don't know why but recently when i start a new game,i can't use the /save feature,can you tell me or give a guide on how to make a new file for the save to be placed or how to detect where did the /save file go?

Also for the Bugs that i have foud using WARCRAFT III save/load is this:
-Sometime the item just stuck in the character unremovable,the only way to remove it is to either die or manually removing other gears first (all of them) before removing the one that got stuck
-The zombie sometime glitch out and can be seen trembling from the corrupt A.L Pathing
-Pudge Hooking Building actually re-emerged if you use this feature alot (happen to my lvl 12 Tinker/Paladin world)
-Quest sometime can be uncompleted as the data thinks that you still haven't fulfill the requirement even though you already did

Got to the Hydra Swamp at around level 3, full pre-Mithril gear...and i can't get Ironwood, the trees there simply give Wood, if this was intended due to a low level, you could put a memo letting players know. Except that, Great map, man, came back to it for the third time already!

Edit:Nevermind, actually found the treants half an hour later..but the description for ironwood from the swamp blacksmith could be changed, otherwise great map!

I love this, everything was so realistic. You must maintain normal body temperature, avoid starvation, and crafting (best part). And LMAO, you can pass food and heat to other players (via F9).

EXPERIENCE: (early part)
-My friend and I decided to play this game, and in the first try we've won. I was a Wizard, and he was a Warrior. After getting a pickaxe from a starting quest, we've mined Iron Ores endlessly (50 gold per minute each is insane). Before the first zombie wave appears, we already have maxed equipments from the first village (except items that require mithrils). Overall it was very fun, especially when first time playing this.

i Can't believe it it's been that long (6 Month for me though),This map is one of the Most realistic Warcraft map out there,There's just so many thing good with this map,most importantly the Currency system,Unhackable the best shit ever
Also the Everyday need is really need especially after you reach the end game where you had littereally 6-8 Nordic soup which is an achievement of how far and how long have you played,gosh if only i can rate 3 times in a row i would rate it 5*3

IMO BEST CLASS IS TINKER,That fucking class can SOLO The game in a 4-Player game with the Right item and enough lvl (6 is preferable),atleast until the 2.0 which is a sad update for tinker player out there...

Okay,just a little bit of request:
1.)Either make the Mine of the dead miner where one of the first mission is being held (Infected miner mission) a completely unattach area so no zombie will come or make the zombie do not attack your furniture because i can't no longer make a camp on any of those mine,except the northern gems mine because the pathing of al can be abused.

2.)Make the number of guard in the first town a little bit higher instead of rehiring just 5,make rehiring captain guard possible because seriously in a 4 player game if you none of you choose Ranger or Tinker,your first town is dead already.

3.)LAST but not least,make a mission that furher explain the guy on the fishing town (why is he praising me for uncover his disguise,i don't see him anymore throughout the game)

I guess it was intended that I can reach level 11 with full gear in a 1 single game?

anyway... for the set of mithril/hydra equip, the str people had it the hardest
in a single play entering the mithril mine are about 4 times harder compared to farming hydra 1 by 1
I like how you put a socket system but I dislike how easy it is to mine gem
heck, after my first game in my next game I rush gem farming right after I get the pick and sell them for all my gold needs (why shouldn't I? there's no danger in the gem mine at all)

while I like the game and all, for a game that has a save/load system it kinda kills the fun if I can make a full gear level 11 character in a single game... just by loading them 1 more time I might reach a level 12 with level 30 paladin rank, a few games and I reach max level for all jobs and I'm afraid people might accuse me as a cheater for having this character

also, when playing a single game I noticed how hard it is to defend the south village while doing quest for the north village
can you make it so applying topaz on boots give them movespeed instead of hit points? somewhere around 30-40 sounds fair enough, besides I find with full gear and paladin rank combined I'd be too tanky that it kills the fun so I think the boots doesn't need to increase even more hit points

really? that's funny because a post before I just said how I played the game by myself lol
it was hard at first, granted.
after a few practice play, I realized there's certain way to play alone from level 1 to 11
gain levels from quest, golds from selling jewels, buy load of healing pots from the jewels, full upgrades the villages... the only hard material in the game was the mithril ore and hydra scale, it get pretty easy one you get level 8 though

if there's anything hard in the game that would be: 1)getting inside the mithril mine 2)killing the elder bear and the lost husband boss (level 3 quest)
from those quest onward it was smooth sailing
among all those single play, one of the easiest one would be Marauder, Alchemist, and Bandit

oh btw, I like the back shield (not in this game with that stats thou, just like how people has shield on their back)
can you have another back shield with better shield? all those capes made no sense, why would my vanguard need a cape but not a shield on his back?

What if i told you i beat the game at 1.7 version (still imba one) alone using tinker.. ( with 20 live though )
and really? a dovahki'in helmet,are you kidding it doesn't really fit with the lore of this game,granted it is kinda unique since it's an easter eggs,but most of us here agree it is better to have MORE content either it's more class or gameplay mechanic than some tiny easter eggs,unless those easter eggs involved quest or adding new gameplay mechanic though.


btw Hunter should have use their pet as a defender of the town,not wandering around,also in the older version tinker have last resort skill to survive every single boss nuke..

also last tips,get a good long term set,not cheap yet useless in short term
