It is fail. What has Apple to do with the Warcraft series.

What's warcraft for me... that universe I got immersed through it's campaign.

Than came WoW, kinda ruined the entire universe. If there will ever by any Warcraft 4... if I see... Garrosh... or dunno who... Thrall... I bet I will laugh my ass off. Because WoW kinda ruined all the characters which I held dear within the Warcraft universe.

Illidan is now crazy. Yes, 10,000 years spent in an underground prison didn't make him lose his sanity, but the fact that he lost to Arthas in an 1on1 made him loose his mind. I mean, you realize how important the competition between him and Arthas was. I mean, when Illidan lost Tyrande for Malfurion he didn't grow insane. No, it was his loss against Arthas that drew him mad.

The meele and custom play features are just an extent for me.

Although I will admit that some custom maps are simply amazing, such as Footman Frenzy, Final Fantasy ORPG (first ORPG with save/load codes), DotA, Azeroth Wars, Are you a retard, and many other.

I bet that if the same thing happened in Wc4, you would justify it. Oh, he ticked off! This shit was enough to cause this!

But in WoW?

The fuck, he ticks of a stupid thing? I mean, it's the shittiest thing i can imagine!

Hmm.... nah.

Nothing to back up my statement, but I think SC2 has poor story writing compared to SC1 too. So many plot holes in that campaign. And like Kerrigan never felt like a real threat. Stupid revamps.

It just feels like back in the day.... Blizzard was this small company, trying to make epic games. Their budgets were lower backthan, like a low budget movie, a lot of times they are cooler because the producers look at the details, make sure everything is appealing and nice. Than the big money came in, and Activision. Since than all Blizzard games targets a new audience. People of at least 30 years old, who have kids and responsabilities and who need to easily understand these vast sci-fi/fantasy universes. Literary, looking through WoW storyline and SC2 storyline is like looking ath Star Wars Ep1 The Phantom Menace.

I suppose you're an allmighty archon that can kill anything.

Explain these "Plotholes". Seriously, a planet getting swarmed by millions of zerg don't make kerrigan a thread.

Which brings what i keep posting in each argument. WHY THE F*@# DO I ARGUE WITH @ PEOPLE?

Well. I doubt it'll actually die out though, Blizzard could always twist and turn their lore around to make it awesome again:)

I don't think it's about warcraft only,it's about all the games...warcraft may work, but not all games work on mac...and i think that's what Renschi wanted to say

So if Warcraft works on both PC and Mac, why would I be against it if I'd be using a Mac? Considering it's one of the few games made to work on a Mac too.

HOMM3 is not supported anymore. 3DO went bankrupt a while back. Ubisoft who developed HOMM5 ad now HOMM6 have no interest in updating HOMM3 as it's not their game.

Blizzard will continue to update their games for the new operating systems as long as the game is still played.

I have no problem with playing HOMM3 what so ever on my Windows 7 computer. What people is saying is not true, Ubisoft have updated and released a version of HOMM3 that is compatible with newer windows versions. And the HOMM3 community has even provided us with 2 unofficial expansions. HOMM3 is and will always be in my book, one of the best games ever created. And I still plays it, fact is that now matter what 3DO and Ubisoft ever tried with the HOMM seria, it was never even close to be as good as HOMM3.

That would be cool. Warcraft III did show the potential ability in which a medieval-fantasy-modern styled game could get, well it'll be nice to see how they keep it going and running even further, with improved graphics and such. Even if it doesn't look like Starcraft II, it could have some significant unique features in its graphic system which still fits the style and doesn't go too much to the 'space warfare' side.

So if Wc3 works on macs then why do some people say that Wc4 won't be made as because some people where saying that most games don't work on macs but Wc3 does so that blizzard put that much more unneeded effort that most companies won't unless Blizzard just like macs? (personally I hate macs :D)

Blizzard is just proffesional like that. Their releases (as Blizzard) are always on both PC and Mac. Most companies cannot afford or do not see the benefits of making their game for Mac. But Blizzard, they have always done it and they can afford it. SC:BW is even on Nintendo 64.

People say Wc4 will not be made because afaik Blizzard decided to close the curtains on the Warcraft francise with their mmo WoW. For a while they have been stuck on these 3 franchises of Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo, and now they want to approach a new franchise.

Also, your english sux : P

Anyways, once again I believe Warcraft III will last for a very long time (If not forever) as long as games are still existing and Blizzard still has command over it.

I'm sure Warcraft III will grow even further to be a game which lasts (Almost, or rather) forever, with itself improving consistently. The limiting factors of it aren't gonna stop real supporters from trying to improve it, so Blizzard wouldn't need to worry, and if they did try to update it, it'll just get better and better:)

Hehe, thanks for the support!
I do also believe the same thing:)
Even if other games come out, Warcraft III would still last with the creation of even more new games and as a haven for budding modders.

Without having read the entire thread, I'll leave this from the Wc3 manual here:

"The Program shall be considered 'Out of Publication' one (1) year following the date that the Program is no longer manufactured and/or distributed by Blizzard, or its licensors."

"Blizzard agrees to provide the servers and software technology necessary to utilize the 'on-line' component of the Program until such time as the Program is Out of Publication, as defined above."

So, when Blizzard stops selling Wc3, we are doomed: no more support and bnet servers :p

So Basically this was all doomed from the beginning? Never thought of it that way

And well, Warcraft III practically provides modders a relatively supportive community to do mapmaking, giving new ideas of game genres to many others who want to use it or play it.

Warcraft III will never die, unless Warcraft IV comes but if it doesn't WC3 still has a chance cause there are players that are 9 year olds and some of them are over 20 years so they will probably play a longer time then those who are older, I know what I'm talking about cause I've been playing 4 years since I was 9 :p, and I plan on playing atleast 5 more years

I've seen some 89 year old playing too, hehe. Anyways, yes I do agree with you here, the players wouldn't leave it so easily because of its modder friendliness and already well made maps.

But overall, I still do believe that Warcraft III would still become a popular game, or at least a commonly played classic game even as the years go by, it's quite hard for most players I know of to completely give up on this wonderful game:)
