"That's the problem with drinking, I thought, as I poured myself a drink. If something bad happens you drink in an attempt to forget; if something good happens you drink in order to celebrate; and if nothing happens you drink to make something happen."

"Friendship is Magic" - MLP;FiM

--Now on a more serious note, quotes from my favorite songs:

"Just know...
We are...
A spec...
In time...

So follow, your bliss, and destroy, the beauty."

-Senses Fail, Irony of Dying on your Birthday

"(Colors blind)
The eyes.
(Sounds deafen)
The ear.
(Flavors numb)
The taste.
(Thoughts weaken)
The mind."

-Senses Fail, Irony of Dying on your Birthday

"I'll lock myself alone in a room
Drink until the clock strikes noon
With just a pen, a pill, and some paper.
And maybe I will write a sad song
Or another cliche poem
Of the person that I long to be."

-Senses Fail, Irony of Dying on your Birthday

"A hero has a thousand faces, none of them matching mine"

-Senses Fail, Ali for Cody

"I’m giving up all expectations
That I will live a meaningful life"

-Senses Fail, Ali for Cody

"All I know is I've heard this all before, reality's a bore
You ask me to believe in something fake
Well I can't bring myself to do what you want me to
This is who we are and nothing's gonna change"

Since you guys fail at this (atleasts people that quote entire songs) I take it on me to give this thread a couple of well needed good ones. Prepare to be mind-blown by my awesome quotes.

“Earthquakes occur where people are living in sin.”
- E. Heath, English priest

“Diseases arise spontaneously as a result of inappropriate living.”
- Alexander Well, English priest

“Animals, which move, have limbs and muscles. The earth does not have limbs and muscles; therefore it does not move.”
- Scipio Chiaramonti, Italian professor of philosophy and mathematics

“All the ills from which America suffers can be traced to the teaching of evolution.”
- William Jennings Bryan, American politician (ran for President)

“If the Bible had said that Jonah swallowed the whale, I would believe it”
- William Jennings Bryan, American politician (ran for President)

[Previous Post Incase You Missed It]
“If you could reason with religious people, there would be no religious people”
House

“Science flies you to the moon. Religion flies you into buildings.”
Viktor Stenger

“War does not determine who is right, only who is left”
Bertrand Russell

“Radio has no future.”
- Lord Kelvin, English mathematician and physicist

“I do not think that the wireless [radio]waves I have discovered will have any practical application”
- Heinrich Rudolf Hertz

Yeah, but I don't get that message. I get "you must be 18+ in order to enter this site."
I have one:
"Well, today we know that 5% of Internet is pornography, but that's because teenage boys log on to the Internet. Just wait till grandmas and grandpas log on the Internet - then 50% of the Internet will be pornography." - Michio Kaku

When I was little I used to always run over to the Pizza Hut salad bars and start stealing salad items and wrap them up on a napkin.

Dad saw me once and told me something he'd repeat in later years, the full quote goes something like "Whatever you do in life, do it right and do it all the way through. If you're going to rob a bank, atleast do it right."

He then handed me a plate.

good times :(

"But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you"

Daunting, yet spiritually uplifting, rewarding and something to live by.

As for my own: “Keep on asking, and it will be given you; keep on seeking, and you will find; keep on knocking, and it will be opened to you. For everyone asking receives, and everyone seeking finds, and to everyone knocking it will be opened." - Matthew 7:7-9, NW

The quote still has secular application. To me, I personally believe that to achieve or acquire anything in life, including happiness, one has to 'keep on seeking, knocking and asking'. That is, to persevere, and not to expect success on the very first attempt. Trial and error is a fundamental aspect of life, as long as we learn from our errors, and persevere, determined.

"Curiousity killed the idiot. Not the cat, because they have 9 lives, and you only have to make one big pit.". -Unknown

Well, I have to argue :cgrin: To lose a life, our curious cat has to be killed. There's no other way to lose life. So really, curiosity killed the cat.

"If I walk through the forest, the birds stop singing. They're talking about me. I'm sure of it. They're just too scared to do it to my face."

=====

"Am I indecisive? Yes and no."

=====

"Just You wait and see

Good Gods come and go, but

All Lords eventually fall

A God can wake up mortal. "

Bask. Or die painfully. Or both.
There is no hell. There is only France.
Most rock journalism is people who can't write, interviewing people who can't talk, for people who can't read.
The computer can't tell you the emotional story. It can give you the exact mathematical design, but what's missing is the eyebrows.
You can't always write a chord ugly enough to say what you want to say, so sometimes you have to rely on a giraffe filled with whipped cream.
May your shit come to life and kiss you on the face.

Practice makes perfect but then again, nobody's perfect, so why Practice?!

We don't aim to achieve perfectness. We achieve to be perfectly skilled at something, thus not making us completely perfect.

Practice makes perfect

Perfect at (verb)

nobody's perfect, so why Practice?!

If you were referring to becoming perfect, it should be:

Practice makes PEOPLE perfect.

“The city is a fact in nature, like a cave, a run of mackerel or an ant-heap. But it is also a conscious work of art, and it holds within its communal framework many simpler and more personal forms of art. Mind takes form in the city; and in turn, urban forms condition mind.”

“Got it! Say Dash, why do they call it a hack saw? It doesn’t hack; hacking is what I was doing with the knife. This is a saw. I don’t get it.”

-Pinkie Pie

I'm probably insane mentally, but as long as I can contain my actions I'm fine, right?
...right?

-

Death is always a regret...

If I learn from my mistakes, will I eventually stop making them? Is there a balance I can achieve, a perfect harmony with my self? Shall I seek that point where there are no more mistakes to be made? All the lessons learned? When that happens, do we die? Do we become gods? Do the gods even want us?

-The Ravings of Fenroy

This time, I'm going to take a chance. Play chaos, and hope that all ends up worse.

Let's hope these count:

"Victory is for those who are victorious!"
- raocow

"...-that actually makes for a really good trap, doing the same thing twice."
- raocow (in reference to the structure of a particular ghost house in VIP 5)

"RANKU AHPE!"
- Nakateleeli and Elementalogre (during parts of their Persona 4 Let's Play)

"The seeker is he who is in search of himself. Give up all questions except one: "Who am I?" After all, the only fact you are sure of is that you are. The "I am" is certain. The "I am this" is not. Struggle to find out what you are in reality. To know what you are, you must first investigate and know what you are not. Discover all that you are not -- body, feelings thoughts, time, space, this or that -- nothing, concrete or abstract, which you perceive can be you. The very act of perceiving shows that you are not what you perceive. The clearer you understand on the level of mind you can be described in negative terms only, the quicker will you come to the end of your search and realise that you are the limitless being."

This IS true!

And...: "Storms make oaks take roots."

This one kinda reminds me of what's happening in London right now.
