I would prefer that you quickly read it all, but I can retell the main events. All gods was summoned to a meeting with the upper god, he announced his death and disappeared. Mortals discover a new continent, and the gods have to spread their followers there to keep their power. War breaks out between the Death God and Psion's Alliance of gods, while the God of War (me) fights the demons as the Upper God's dissappearance have apparently awakened our ancient enemy, the Primordial, who tries to break loose. The war for the throne of the Upper God has begun while we awaits word from him to announce his heir.

God Role Playing
I bid you welcome to God RP, the RP where you play a god, and not just a simple character.
The idea is to create a RP, where deities rule the mortals of a strange world by manipulating them for their own needs.
This will be explained more deeply as the RP continuous.

Joining the RP

If you want to join God-RP, just sign this formula and remember, follow the standard form!

Name: [The name of your deity f. ex. Rulux]
Portfolio: [Your "area of expertise" f. ex. God of Meat]
Symbol: [Short description of a symbol f. ex. A dead boar with three spears through its body.]
Divine Might: [Demigod, Lesser, Intermediate, or Greater Deity]
Followers: [Race, social caste or type of followers f. ex. Orcish Butchers]
Number of Followers: [The amount of followers that worship you, f. ex. 771 orcs and 3 ogres]
Secrecy: [Are you followed by a secret cult or does everybody know of your followers f. ex. Low - Followers of Rulux have statues of him over their doorways for everyone to look at.]
Favoured Weapon: [F. ex. Meat Axe]
Residence: [Where do you reside, in a grand cathedral or on a floating banana in outer space f. ex. Hell's Kitchen]
Places of Worship: [Do your followers pray to you in temples, road shrines or basements etc. f. ex. Followers of Rulux pray in shrines located under their beds.]
Main form: [How do you look like?]
Major Powers: [Your mightier spells]
Minor Powers: [Your less might spells]
Bio: [Explain your hero]

Remember, you can also create a group of worshipers to follow your god. For examples, check the God section.
If you’re new to RPs, you should check this out.

Gods get their power from the Ley Lines of the universe, but also from their mortal followers.
A god’s Divine Might is determined by the importance of their role, their number of followers,
their respect and the blessings of the Upper God.

The God of Death for example, has indisputably one of the most important roles, he got few followers,
but every sentient being pay him respect and he is considered by the Upper God to be one of the most
important Deities and the Universe would collapse without a god in his position, thus making him a Greater God.

All gods answer to the Upper God

Only Demigods may walk upon the surface of a planet without
the usage of an avatar of some kind, as they are closer bound to the mortal world than pure deities.

World Overview

[MAP - Coming Soon..!]

Planes and worlds of existence, the creatures who lives there and etc. will be developed over time and created by the RPers.
But before you post any new creatures, worlds or similar things, post them here, in the Construction Theard.

If you don’t do this, you will bring confusion to the rest of the RPers, and we can guarantee that this won’t be appreciated.
So to skip “flame-wars”, please follow this rule at all time!

He is generally friendly and likable, valuable traits in a merchant. He has a hoard of valuable artifacts, which he often sells to other gods in exchange for favors. He has a large following amongst merchants and tradesmen, mostly because of his lucky discovery of the Mimic race. These small flies developed a unique defense against predators, along with their powerful stingers: they can change into any inanimate object they have seen before. This power is quite limited: young ones can only turn into something as small as a gold coin, and any changeling can be uncovered by simply picking it up. While they can look like a gold coin, they will be much softer and lighter than one, and if damaged in any way they will immediately revert to their natural form and attack. These creatures were tamed by Jeerax, and are sent to guard the residences of merchants who worship him.

There is though a little cult of Runeweavers and Smiths that Khuqua himself have chosen to follow him.

This cult currently has 37 members, though this is far from commonly known.

Residence: Khuqua resides deep within the earth, where his giant forge lies.
There he smelts weapons for the greater gods to use against each other.
Places of Worship: Followers of Khuqua can pray to him in any forge or smithy.
Though if you're really zealus, you can go do it at a volcano.
Main form: A human with the same facial features and sturdy body as a dwarf.
Major Powers: Khuqua can smelt ANY iron into ANY given object. He can also rune it afterwards. (hehehehe... runed coffee mug... of adimantium...) Also, he can make any metal appear out of nowhere.

Bio: Khuqua was a half-human half-dwarf, raised by a dwarven runesmith.
He became a fabulous smith, that everyone of the same craft admired.
One day though, he fell into his own forge (and it is a well known fact that dwarves have lava in their forges). He survived, but became too crippled to even lift a hammer.
He then promised one of the gods that he would make him a sword so beutyfull that the sun would literally black out of shame when it saw it, if he could get his body mended.
The god liked that deal, and restored Khuquas body. He also gave him a little pinch of devine power, that slowly grew and turned him into a demigod.
And since that day Khuqua has been working to create the sword.

Name: Ophelia
Portfolio: Demon of Revenge
Symbol: A rotten hand grasping a human heart.
Divine Might: Lesser Deity
Followers: Mainly humans and elves, but drows and lesser creatures can be recruited.
Number of Followers: Estimated 100-140 followers

Ophelia’s cult, The Shadows of Ophelia, on the other hand, knows a great deal about her and her goals.
Favoured Weapon: Claws
Residence: In the Planes of Shadows, no one knows the exact location.
Places of Worship: All Shadows are endowed with The Book of the Forgotten, which serves as their shrine and spell book,
but the Shadows can also reach Ophelia in their temple, Reventide, where they can reach Ophelia’s physical form. Outsiders can’t reach Ophelia at all.
Main Form: Ophelia takes form as a part drow and banshee.
Her upper body has the aspect of the drow and the lower body has the aspect of a banshee.
Her armour is ethereal, and seems to be rags of cloth, but the armour is an ancient relic which weakens her surrounding foes.
Major Powers: Feeds on the essence of revenge and general hate;
the ability to enrage her fellow followers and empower their magical abilities.
Can also posses the body of a mortal, this avatar burst of dark magic power and should not be taken lightly.
Minor Powers: The ability to turn enemies on their allies.
Bio: Ophelia is one of many lesser deities, but yet she’s one of the elder.
Ophelia exploit the power of revenge and hate to destroy her enemies and a cult has formed under her name; The Shadows of Ophelia.
Ophelia herself is devoted to her cult and does anything in her power to keep the cult alive,
because the cult strengthens her as they all pass “The Sacrifice”.
And Ophelia hopes to reach a higher state among the deities one day and this might come true thanks to the beloved followers.
But in the field, Ophelia is feared and is believed to bring confusion and hate to the battlefield.
But because of the great secrecy of her cult, the common folks know very little about her,
but one thing they are well aware of is that it’s always good to have The Shadows of Ophelia by your side, and not at your enemies.

The Shadows of Ophelia
Bio: The Shadows of Ophelia first appeared when the Archmage Anora was contacted by Ophelia.
Ophelia asked Anora for help, to bring down a rival demon. Anora did what Ophelia had asked,
and Ophelia rewarded Anora with immense powers to harvest the powers of revenge.
In honour of Ophelia, Anora established a cult in her name, The Shadows of Ophelia.
At first Anora merely succeeded with the recruitment of new Shadows, but after The Great War,
when Anora proved herself worthy, many magical-knowing beings joined her cause. This was the birth of the cult,
and as the years passed, the cult got more and more surreptitious and went underground.
Now they worship Ophelia as a god; despite she’s a lesser deity, and in her honour,
once a year the cult goes through “The Sacrifice”. During this ceremony, the cult gathers in Reventide
and the follower’s sacrifices blood in the name of Ophelia. This has been requested by Ophelia,
because this blood strengthens her own powers and benefits both herself and the Shadows. Part from “The Sacrifice”,
the Shadows has few ceremonies and the only one worth mentioning is “The Joining”,
which is the time when a fellow mage, warlock, cleric or other magic-knowing being devotes her or his life to the Shadows.
Leaders – The Keepers of Shadows: Sovereign Jontun, Counsellor Janila, Keeper Mervick and Mistress Elwynn.
Cult Major Powers: Living Bomb, turns a being into a ticking bomb.
Release Anger, makes the target less aware of what it’s doing, causes them to perform poorer in battle, and works on higher ranked creatures.
The Grandmasters of the cult can even enquire Ophelia to be granted “Demon Powers”,
which makes it possible to transform into a demon form, but only one is known to posses this power, Jontun.
Cult Minor Powers: Learns how to drain the power of revenge.
Cult Weapons: In favour of Ophelia, some of them wear War Claws,
but most of them favour the Short Sword-, Dagger and Book or Staffs.
Warcry: "Betrayal feeds us, vengeance is the source of power, so come foul beasts, release you revenge upon us, feed us with your foolishness!"

Higher Ranks
Sovereign: Serves as the Shadows guide and mentor, and is the person who decides whose welcome into the cult.
But even if the Sovereign serve as the Master of the Shadows, doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s the person
with the strongest connection to Ophelia, that person is called the Mistress and can be the Sovereign as well.
Counsellor: Serves as the Sovereigns left hand/s. They, just like the Sovereign,
serve as guides and mentors and the Sovereign can create as many Counsellors as he or she desires.
Keeper: Is the Guardian of their temple, Reventide. The Keeper never leaves the temple,
expect during greater wars that can threaten their temple.
Mistress: Mistresses are handpicked by Ophelia, and are always of the female sex.
They serve as a link between the mortal world and Ophelia, and during “The Sacrifice”,
Ophelia uses the Mistress as an avatar, but The Mistress is always fully aware of what’s happening.

Lower Ranks
Shadow: Has mastered the art of harvesting the power of revenge.
Phantom: Jet much to learn, but knows how to harvest the power of revenge.
Shade: Still learning, has a diminutive knowledge of how to harvest the power of revenge.
The Sacrifice
During “The Sacrifice”, Ophelia will possess the current Mistress of the Shadows. While she’s within this avatar,
she will drain blood from her fellow followers. You might ask yourself why she just doesn’t drain the blood of anyone,
but there’s a most understandable reason for this. Her followers knows how to harvest the powers of revenge,
and revenge makes Ophelia stronger, and mixed with the blood of a follower, makes the concoction even more powerful.
So the blood of a follower powers Ophelia more than a whole battle, and thanks to this, Ophelia hopes that one day,
she will reach the higher hierarchy among the deities.

Contact Ophelia via the Urn
The Shadows can always contact Ophelia via the Urn, which is located in their temple, Reventide.
This Urn holds the ashes of their first leader, the first Mistress of Ophelia, Anora and her
remaining powers makes it possible to contact Ophelia, no matter if your a Mistress or not.

@Dragonson: I would love if you did that, it seems that the new world is in the west, but when Fussiler1 drew a simple map, it showed up to be in the east, and only SoLmaster have stated the direction anyway.

@Arowanna92: The Gray Realm and the Plane of Souls is the same thing.

I'm not sure about all the void thing, we'll have to discuss that. As for powers, I do not really approve the alternate timeline things, since timelines are somewhat decided by people's actions, which we cannot control (though we can influence them). For limitations, I do approve your ability to reverse and stop time, but not accelerating. Though you can send individuals through time back and forth. When reversing time, it does not neccesary change what will happen, but it sure does give one a chance to restore or redo. Take this in mind and I will probably approve after a little rewriting.

Name: Methuselah
Portfolio: Lord of Time, Master of the Void, Prophet of Dreams and Father Time are all aliases.

The whole Stop/Reverse/Create Alternate Timeline Etc thing is pretty imba.
You might want to make him like, a protector of time instead.
Currently he sounds alot like something above both the Pimordial AND the Upper God. :p
But well, time IS a hard thing to make balanced. I once had a Chronomancer in one of my RP's, and even though the player worked hard to get this feat, he soon after dominated the RP as the Unquestioned leader of the group.
(In his case, he was such an exellent RP'er that we all just lived with it. <3)
Anyway, back on topic.
