For those of you that have been keeping up with the new movies (considered canon) Frieza's origins were revealed to have been created by Beerus, the god of the third dimension of destruction. The upcoming DBZ movie "Resurrection of F" states that Frieza underwent four months of training to ascend to a new form more powerful than the "Super Saiyan God" form which Goku unlocked during his battle with Beerus.

I'm honestly glad that Frieza was given this new dimension of power, it adds to his character as later segments of the anime / manga made him seem rather underwhelming almost being reduced to comic fodder in the past (please don't cite GT, it's not canon, it's an alternate timeline and we all want to forget about it)

It also fits in with his character, he wasn't able to unlock his ultimate potential before because he never trained, and even though Goku has trained for countless years to reach where he is, Frieza after never training before was able to train to this ridiculous new height of power in a mere four months. It really reaffirms him as a prodigy of combat and power and puts him on par with his creator Beerus.

What do you guys think about this, Frieza's power jump, his origins, etc?
