nice. lucky you. lol we got the wii. so technically, we could use it as another computer. (the wii has internet. XD) only problem with that would be that we have to diconnect my computer just so we could use the ability. lol I know this isn't RP related, but as i write this post, I'm listening to "Red shell, blue shell". You might like it. lol Listen all the way to the end. It's funny. The last four seconds ruin it for me. DX

Muscles are denser but so are the bones, so they can grow pretty tall without straining their bones, and as for the canons, they fire bolts of energy, like shells :D
And gratz on teh laptop.

IS THIS RP DYING?

Race Sheet
Race Name: Kul Tor, Kentorks (Together make "The Greater Good")
Home Planet: Kul Tor
Controlled Planets: Mac 2, Rekalo, Menek, Lakor, and Fegoa
Life Span: 80-120 years
Government: Monarchy
Leader: Kin' Mo
Description: This race is farely new but it has spread pretty far. They call their government 'The Greater Good'. They have allyed themselves with some savage and carnivours creatures but treat them like brothers. These creatures are melee type creatures and they eat the losing side's dead to gain more strength. They can also jump far and high and use a weapon like staff that shoots sharp shards out of it. The Kul Tor however are all ranged. They use battle suits and special helmets to get the best range they can get. Their weapons are used for long distance but they do have a battle knife they can take out if things get close quarters. Their leader Kin' Mo has no helmet nor battle suit. He keeps to traditional clothing and uses his staff for fighting if he ever has to. He has a droid in his staff that can create holigrams of his soldiers that look exactly like them. Its hard to tell the difference from a real Kul Tor and a holigram one.
Other/History: The Greater Good is what brought the Kul Tor into the space age. They used peaceful methods to talk the savage creatures known as the Kentorks that are tribal like people into their ways. They use plasma weaponry but the Kentork use staffs as melee weapons as well as other creatures that are found on their planet. They tame these creatures and use them as mounts however the large Hekeo that has a thick hide is more dangerous and takes longer to train. They can train the Mklo much quicker and mount a gun on the back. The Mklo has strong muscular front arms but smaller back legs. The gun they mount onto him would be used for shooting shards at their opponents while the Mklo took them out with its fists. The Greater Good is still developing its technology but they still have a good understanding about government and peace.

Sorry about reposting this I realized I never posted the races names. I think it still is a pretty good race.

kul tor and kentorks... sounds like originality is dying. They sound too much alike. and no mato, people just want others to post first. If everyone stops, someone has to make the first move. that's all. sometimes, people take vacations, but that's oftentimes over the summer.
Shadow, the race AND the planet are named Kul tor? It's like saying that we are Earth. lol It doesn't work that way. So, you're saying that this race is new to the space age? How fast did their technology grow? New tends to be a couple hundred years, when they are still developing their engines and ships. They couldn't possibly have good ships right now since they are so new. The Vultarans have been at the space age for at least a thousand years, and just recently upgraded their ships.
You mounted a gun on a gorilla? If it is attacking with its fists, you wouldn't be able to use the gun. Your height would e changing too much, and it would be impossible to aim. Any benefit of having close range and ranged is quickly taken out by the fact that only 1 out of every 25-50 or so shots is going to hit.

Dragonson if you didn't need it already. Unapproved.
I see no reason for this new race to be unapproved. So I guess approved.
I'm not sure about the Ugrentien character I believe I need more input.
For my character.. approved.. :)

Also keep in mind you can dispute the approval of any race or character at anytime.

I believe you need to read more. I never needed or wanted anyone to make me a dark race. I already have also its unapproved. I can draw that conclusion thorugh the comments of others.

Oh, i just noticed, isn't Shadow's race awfully reminiscent of the W40K tau?
If you don't know them check Tau and Kroot on wikipedia

Race: Kul Tor
Name: Dreno
Occupation: General of the Royal Military.
Description/Apperance: He wears a battle suite that is white with brown lacings where the shoulders, knee's, wrists, and ankles would split the armor. He has a helmet on which has a farsite ability added to it. In a wide open plane he can see over almost all of it. He has anntennas on the sides so he can keep in contact with his men alot easier. There are two rocket pads on hsi shoulders which make him look like he has big bulky shoulders. He carrys a rapid fire plasma fireing minigun and a plasma blade on his right which is specially concealed. There also are jet boosters on his boots which allows him to fly over obsticals. His primary objective no matter what would be to guard the leaders that are in danger.
Background/Other: He once lived with a happy family but at the age of 20 they died of old age, this left him with no emotion and no fear of death. Because of this one of the elders saw him fit to be a war general. Eventually he worked his way up from war general to Royal General. He commands a Royal fleet and a regular army. He does not care for his life, he would gladly give it away to save one of the elders, they treated him like a son and so he treats them like family. He does however, have a love, but he does not let anyone know of her so that his emotion for her doesnt get the better of him. He was lucky enough that she was placed in his royal fleet. He is currently twenty five and she is the same age as him. However whenever their alone he tries to talk to her.

.......... What the hell? Oo How does humanity (on the opposite side of the galaxy) end up back under the rule of emperors? And I refuse to accept psycic abilities strong enough to even move a house! So, no moving mountains, and you are obsessed with "breaking minds". -.- And, with an iron that is strong enough to go through the sun, how would it form? Iron needs extreme temperatures to form. And that's just in the ground! The crew would be boiled alive if they even touched the sun! And, with a lack of water, it'd be more like a burning, even with whatever cooling mechanisms you have. ANy computers would fry, and, as sacrid distinctly pointed out, you wouldn't be able to shape the iron. How would you cut it? Carving doesn't get the precision, and extreme heat would warp it. So, to ahve a sun-resistant metal means to be unablet to make hulls for ships, or carve it.

I also have to question your ripping from the Lord of the Rings, having 5 rings brought together to enhance one's power to rival their leader... Even having rings alone that had that mental effect is cheap. I understand your desire to bend me to your will, but trying to break my mind won't work! I have an ultimatum that you'd be hard-pressed to anticipate! (unless you read the posts of course, then you'd be able to have your characters 'predict' everything. :/)

I vote to reject this race, as it is yet another "mind breaking" empire hellbent on my destruction, by whatever means nessessary. Try using strategy instead of developing an army of brains- wait, keep the brains. You might need them. But get rid of the vast amounts of psycic powers. Even the Chozo have psycic powers, but that's only strong enough to sense their enviroment vaguely, and lift a vase, as those powers dwindle in the population.

Shadow, your character is odd. Being a Royal General in command of a royal fleet, the fleet would stay at home the entire time. They are meant for defence, and would only go on offence if they absolutely needed to. If he's got no emotions, who would love him? Who was his family? Was it parents and siblings, or was it wife and kids?

Solmaster, a "kingdoms under the rule of the emperor" would be called an EMPIRE. Like in Star Wars. lol An iron that doesn't melt? you wouldn't be able to use it then. where have you ever heard of a deposit of any material, being in the form of a giant block? They come in chunks, meaning that you wouldn't be able to use it. AT ALL.

as sacrid distinctly pointed out, you wouldn't be able to shape the iron.
This comment is when I was talking to him, not in the construction thread.

*SoLmaster is cursing var*
One they are peaceful unless provoked, two the advance powers can kill them, three the ring are crown not the original and does not have the power to overthrow the emperor. These guy haven't left their system until now. They have died when near they are in the sun but the iron gets melted to make more ships. Now var now go rebuild your weak defenses and leave me alone as the holis are left alone. Thank you.

called critique. :/ Should use critique. Besides, you will get it from others too. The spam of psycics attempted in the RP by a lot of people is old. The Chozo just ahve no use for their powers, as technology is more efficient, but using their limited psycic powers hurts their brains. They are growing less capable of using these powers, as they evolve past it, but that doesn't mean I build applifiers. :/ I just build bigger guns :p You see, I am avoiding psycic stuff. I can simply fire a beam at the source and break their concentration, even kill them. So, psycic is a cheap attempt to throw me off, but cannot defeat a fleet of guns.

Sol, you yourself said that the "Iron" couldn't be melted by the sun. You have a major flaw here and you are refusing to see it. If the sun can't melt it, what makes you think you could? Besides, you would need a lot of enery to get it through. The sun woul most likely devour it and you'd never see it again. Another thing you ignored is that all metals come in chunks. You can't melt your iron together, since it's uspposed to be uneffected by the sun. It's unusable to you or anyone else. I suggest you find another way of getting your race ships.

Var, maybe it's a chemical reaction, first they make a mold, then they pour in two compounds, and then wait for it to settle, also, unless you live very close to your star, I don't think your ships should be able to resist solar heat, as that's vultarian speciality >.>

He only controls a small portion of a royal fleet, its not a big fleet like a real one would be, its like one battleship and he commands an army as well. He is forced to protect a wide spread of elders to while the real royal guards stay on the planets, he gets to travel planet to planet and do the whim of the elders. He does not show fear, or love, this to him is a sign of weakness, that is why he doesnt show them. He does however show happiness. His family was just him, his dad, and his mom. They died of an ailmen but since they couldnt figure out what did cause this ailmen they decided to put on their tombstones: Died of old age.

Off topic here, I think its time we think of a name for this roleplay. I was thinking Galactic Times. But thats just something I was thinking of.

Name: Kalthonos (The True Good)
Home Planet: Dumadie
Controlled Planets: None
Life Span: 200
Government: Democracy
Leader: Elected High Lord Alexos
Description: Human out casts that use crystals as power tools that they are. They have crystalline features that give them a more natural look.
Other/History: During the System war 5, the survivors of the colony on Io were banished. They traveled to Dumadie on the other side of the galaxy. The trip lasted 300 years, so they were put in cryo for the remainder of the trip. The planet they landed on was like crystal earth. They vowed to go back into space when the time is right for a new race of humans to raise. Most of them live lives as farmers or adventurers fighting the Golem like races that reside on the planet. They were besieged by Holis machines and they knew the time was now. Most of the ships were rebuilt better then ever using crystals. The True Good would now ascend to the stars with peace in their hearts and good will towards any other race of the universe. They will fight when need but against the evil forces.

This race has many flaws, they are weaker then the other races. They are upon space age, they use crystals as a powerful tool. They don't have any other weapons. They are weak compared to the chozo, holis, etc. They know martial arts as close in combat.

Well, it IS better, except for the time line. Mars, and humanity was in the beginning of the RP, and Mars was destroyed by something, and its peices sent through a wormhole to our half of the galaxy. :/ So, this timeline you presented it kinda off. Just a 'bit' XD (several thousand years :p) Though, I think due to the enviroment, that the human DNA would alter into something else during their evolution. :/ Dunno about the monkeys though :/

Well, I guess the crystals are imbued with a specific form of energy, or radiation, and this energy is transferred through recievers that power the device. Using this, it would be technology requiring certain energy patterns in the crystals. Too much, and it may fry. Too little, and it won't work well at all. Though, crystals do make great thumbdrives. :p I just think the dark/healing crystals is a bit much. :/ Having an energy-flooded crystal as the power source wouldn't hurt though. But imbuing "magical" properties to them, like healing, is a stretch. Otherwise, I think it's good.

Only problems:
1. Timeline is far too long, as we had cities on Mars in the beginning of the RP, and I still have a human captive. XD (rofl)

2. Magical properties in crystals? Best to stick to power source crystals, and tumbdrives (they can store trillobytes of information! :D)

When the hell did this happen. I don't remember anything about it.

With the character. How do we know mankind had final days on earth? So far we've had very limited or no contact with Earth except perhaps the Norse Godlike race peeps.
Also magic. Absolutely no. Crystals cannot magnify physic power. They can produce and amplify energy such as plasma or such even though that would be practically copying me. Also how do humans evolve from frozen monkeys in 5000 years even with human DNA. And how are you exactly gonna get the human DNA into the monkey? And var makes a good point its equally or more likely to go into another species instead of the monkeys. And the odds that the properties of the planet, the environment, and every thing else would be identical to Earth in order to evolve into humans are astronomically slim making it near impossible.

Sol, why can't you make a proper race? Too powerful, too weak, too wierd, uses animals in cambat in spaceships (useless there), etc. You add too many unique abilities and continue with the psychic stuff. It's actually getting annoying. I say we should make a race for you. I could find a good picture to go with it.

I made the proud North'throdir, but appareantly, they weren't as honorable or battle-hardened as I designed. :/ I fear that if I make another race, that they will suffer a similar fate. Proud warrior people afraid of being mind wiped and thus subject to slavery in the fields? Most likely, they would bide their time, waiting for a chance to strike, even subtly, and likely have several public shows of defiance in the beginning before they formed a coalition against their "Masters" Oh, and they forgave the 'dishonorable' energy beings that enslaved them... With this in mind, and how Out of character they were taken, I fear that any other race I make for him will be twisted into something completely different. I made a race for him to use and he ripped them down to cowards and backstabbers (as shown on my planetary sancturary) I don't want that happeneing to another race I design. D:

Gath, here is the first post involving the human player on Mars. :/

VAR come here, They were broken when they fled. The Holis only mind wipe out of order slaves. Then the Norththro'dir would now become the Norse warriors and vikings weren't as honorable as you thought. They were beast in human form. Please read the actual history of my people. I hate when some ones says that us Norse were very honorable or very barbaric. True they were people like that but we were like normal people.

*sigh* I'm not misinterpreting your people, because I wasn't talking about them. I'm talking about the race I designed. The race I designed was supposed to be honorable warriors in combat. though, I guess the definition of combat differs. Still, you had a revolt agsint the Chozo who were giving you sanction from the Holis. You decided, in 1 post, to throw an entire military personell crewing of a planet, into 1 ship, and thus claim the planet. The Admiral discovered this, and seeing the backstabbing commited, he saw the North'throdir as exactly what he thought: Oppertunists, and thus permitted the Holis to storm the planet, as long as they would not destroy Chozo technology and the planet or cities. SO, I'm not changing anything about your people, as I designd the North'throdir as the ones who posed as the Norse Gods, and not the vikings themselves.
