Personally, I think the distribution of these awards depends on the political alignment of the receivers. Those who support the capitalist corporate dictatorship get a highlighted status of citizenship that seemingly renders them above the common people, whilst the working class gets nothing but heavier burdens to enhance their enslaved status.

Down with the corporate fascism! Give an equal amount of awards of equal value to all the working men and women! Up together for a better Hive, where everyone has an equal amount of rep, awards, join date, post count and username!

Lol, wow - just wow. While your at it, just rename everybody Pyritie-# except for Ralle that way we no longer need to keep track of names. Also make it so that if anyone gets rep, everybody gets rep but it gets split so much that everyone only gets like .05 rep thus being very little rep at all.

Anyways. Yeah, I haven't seen Zombie post a serious post in months. Regardless, this thread was pretty funny at least, seeing people over react. WILL, and Bob pretty much summarized the situation well. Really, I've been at the Hive long enough to see users scream power abuse every time any moderator uses power. That goes for even reviewing resources, to warning someone that they're breaking the rules. If you haven't really noticed, the oldfags don't really care about the awards terribly much. (Few exceptions, mostly just because it's Pyritie, but regardless).

We need a more relaxed community, and instead of looking for every excuse to scream power abuse, just be glad that the site doesn't restrict membership, or ban users for idiocy, and that the moderators are actually attempting spread humor into the community. There isn't a need to take everything seriously in this internet community.

Anyway, I say that there wouldn't be a reaction like this because of funny awards if mods would give us a warning ("Danger! Danger! You have been Pyritie Roll'd!") or if this would be made for a special ocasion, like April Fools (Then it would be the best April fools day THW ever had to be honest) or maybe when SC2 would come out ("This user thinks uberlisks are stupid. ;("). When a random award pops out from nowhere, its not fun.

Real threats & problems? So far i only know a few: the infamous Py (not a real threat but still a problem ) and normal forum spammers/trolls/etc.
