well bringing sum things up..... my fav map is pit fighters (an extict map) it's the best i've seen during the times coz it's b4 the release of frozen throne....has abt 20-40 heroes and each of them has have at least 2 custom spells(rare in those times) skills become crappy after the release of frozen throne rendering it unplayable
2nd in line will be.... almost any td map as long as they are balanced and u can maze(have few year's mazing experience XD)
and brad abt ur post few months back.... i dun think ur wrong abt td maps don't originate from blizzard......i've played tds even b4 frozen throne is released......of course azure td is 1 of them but there is 1 td that appear sumtime b4 azure but got extinct soon after....i don't remember the map tho coz i h8 it due to the intense difficulty level and of course almost not many know how to maze much at those times.
 
ummm fallen angel stated that before frozen throne is out... i dun remember seeing any loap in those times.... as for my fav map well will be pit fighters...hosted alot back then but got discontinued and spells get crappy when frozen throne came.... totally unplayable now coz some heroes will have no working skills at all..

UH yeah, thats when LoaP was created.... in the roc days. It was converted to TFT and thats when Stanky McNuggy's had his account banned and changed his name to Dank Stoner. LoaP hardly had anything going on with it officially in the TFT days, honestly the LoaP 2 beta made a bit of progress, but other then that, it's all just been this unofficial ripoff bullshit.
 
hmmm may be my memory is failing me lol.......yeah i know abt his account banned i played the map which states it b4.....but din know it's still in roc days lol anyway i miss the good old days.... so many original maps and some with good quality
 
My favorite game is probably True Chaos ORPG/The HRP Series

But I know FOR SURE its going to be:

WORLD OF WARCRAFT WC3!

I have played multiplayer only few times, so I can say only about single player maps.

I think that my favourites are still Dark Times and Mathias Chronicles, although I played them more than 3 years ago, when I was on maps.warcraftiii.net (today worldofwar). They featured large scale battles, unlike today, when almost every campaign is RPG. And I find RPGs a bit boring.

I long for days, when campaigns were relased quite often. Sure, some were pure crap, but there were many decent campaigns.
 
I'd probbly say my favourite map is the original Footmen Frenzy By HatoUp, it was the first game i played ever on warcraft and i still play it now =), either that or MARVEL TD FTW!
 
My first crush for a Warcraft 3 map was AOS, the old school version that was great. Then I played TOB and i was instantly hooked, I still play TOB too this day whenever I can. Ive tried DOTA and I quit in the first 15 minutes, I dont get why people spam the game channel with that. TOB will always beat DOTA.
 
My favourite map is DotA. I love to play it 6-8 hours a day, especially public games. I wtfh4xpwn every n00b with my imba heroes and my skills of denying and farming. I love to flame them after the game, tell them they are f* noobs etc. Of course from time to time I join other AoS games like ToB, AotZ. I join them, game starts, I flame the host and leave the game as soon as possible.

There's life here yet.

I think these two old favorites of mine are no longer available and have gotten lost down through the years:
  • Kaggz RPG - Shadows of Evil
  • (RPG) For Those Who Have Fallen by Dark Chrono

These were really a blast to play. I still have my moldy old copies, but I'm disappointed that these 1337 maps and their authors seem to have disappeared from the WCIII world.
 
This thread is very valid at all times, even if gravedug up, I used this thread to find all the new maps I should play at my lan =)

My absolute favorites are..

SWAT:Aftermath: Probably the single best made map ever, zombies + explosions = fun, gather up your friends, and play it 24/7 on Bnet, rank up game after game =) its just a blast.

Elemental TD: Replayability is psychotic, playing random brings alot of fun to the table, PERFECTLY balanced, which is rare in most maps nowadays.

Spellcraft: So much fun, mixing elements to create your spells then unleashing them in all those different game modes =D
 
What is YOUR favourite map?

As the title says, this is just a thread to tell people what your favourite map is and why, this may have been done before though, in the long distant past... but honestly I have no idea so here I am with it!

Mine is Footmen Vs. Grunts because its just a huge battle map (an I like the epic battle once or twice :grin:) It also has a pretty balanced gameplay (by my standards) and it just gives people a really good battle.
 
Tough one. Maybe EotA. Footman Frenzy were awesome back in the day, but so unbalanced! Ninja vs Samurai are fun. TKoK is awesome, but gets boring after a while. The Mystery of Friza is fun.
 
Try playing footmen vs grunts s3, it's a much more balanced version of that map. You can grab it on epicwar.com.

Jungle of Vesania
Footmen vs Grunts S3
Elimination Tournament
Snipers Remix
When freedom slips away (Single Player)
etc... There are too many good maps and most of them are not hosted on Bnet which is a shame really :(

Single Player: The Devil Made Me Do It. (Makes WtFSA look like a bad map.)
Obscure Game: War of The Ents (Tree tag without the infernals and the ents are at war against each other.)

What's your favorite "builder" map?

Hey guys,

I was just wondering what your favorite "builder" map is.

A builder map is a map where you build a base, recruit a huge army (over 150 units at least), and attack other people's bases. Usually you can also ally ingame. Also, the income system usually involves simply spamming a structure, which will give you more income. Examples of builder maps are: Castle Builder, Medieval Builder, Village Builder, etc.

I want to know because there are so many builder maps out there, and I don't have time to try them all out to find out which ones are fun.

So what's your favorite?

Heroes and Empires (if you're an empire) has my favorite building system, it's complex compared to others such as castle builder. And the AI just makes it even more fun.

On b.net I like Footmen Frenzy 5.4, element T.D., and Green Circle T.D.

Offline I like Unholy Alliance V, Diable 3 Warcraft, and many campaigns.
 
SotDRP (and all other RPs), Parasite 2 and... hm... Fantasy Life can be good, if you get to play with pro RPers.

I shall now retreat in to the shadow of this thread, waiting to silently kill anyone who dares say "DotA".

You Dota haters are fucking allways starting fights about "lool dota sucks". We didnt even said "dota is best map", and you already there.
 
My favs fall along the lines of daow like games and roleplaying ones
