I absolutely hate Footman Frenzy games, it's a good map and all but every time I play at least one of my team members leaves and completely fucks us over. They practically never even give you their remaining gold/items to help you at least a tiny bit! And there's always some people who lag at the start and get kicked, i wonder why they even try playing? I mean, not being able to afford a halfway decent internet connection is becoming a flimsier and flimsier excuse in most countries, the prices are only going down...

I play with my clan, its some long time ago i joined the pubbies.
About DOTA, i dont like it, the dota community is very nonsocial, they only play for themselfs. There are way better aoses as dota out there, but nearly all pubbies play dota and wont try even a better aos.
BUT this was about which maps i liked:
Footman frenzy, but its imballanced on leavers, they should do something about that.
Battleships, an aos which is way better as dota, since here teamplay is the key to winning.
MountainStruggleAOS, there are some older versions of this one but new version is under development by its creator NEHZ
Sin Wars, it is like footy² but has some lag because of its size, made by Krewl_rain
I want to note i have played Wintermaul alot and it is the only maul which is good, luckily no mauls are hosted on azeroth.
line tower wars, its fun if you allways win, which i do.

I dont want to say this, but i like all of my own maps, but they never get finished because halfway through i start a new one. Stay tuned for linked TD which will be my first finished map (i hope, else wait for The Wargame, or maybe i ever finish, space aos, Mafia infiltrated or Poker Hold'em)

Bleh best maps are those we test in the clan, but half of them will never be released.

Any game in which heroes aren't the primary focus is cool. Hooray for the hero-free Warhammer 40K TD.

We need a Footmen-Frenzy-like map with no heroes. Norse Wars in Age of Mythology was great (although AoM itself wasn't).

It gets good the further into it you get. The begining is like Dragonball but slightly different.

Tell us your favourite singleplayer RPG mod

What do you think is the best singleplayer RPG for warcraft 3??

My favorite is "the dark Phoenix" because of its cool story, custom spells and fight system

"The Devil Made Me Do It" is a classic tale with a good solid story and interesting twists.

"The Legend of Magnador" again has a good story, it's very polished, but the fight system gets a bit tiresome in the later stages.

Er... How many singleplayer RPGs are there anyway?

1. Legendary Gladiators v2.4(basicly you select a hero and fight in a arena against beats which either a player or a computer sends, sometimes the director gives you no chance though).
2. Custom Hero Arena.
3. Tides of Blood(AoS).
4. Most mauls/tds(personnaly i see no difference between them, except that all mauls are made with same terrain).
5. Barbarian Hordes(i may be biased since it my first map)
6. Dota/Other AoS'es.
7+ Balanced and funny maps.

But why does it seem that the main argument against dota is that its hosted alot of times? No-one forces you join, and if people wants to play it why flame them?

Because, the incessant hosting:
1) Clogs up the server list. It's like being in a chat channel and someone keeps spamming while your trying to talk to someone else and you hav to sort through the junk to find what the person said. It's damned annoying.

2) All of the sorry people playing DoTa could be wasting their life away on something else....not connected remotely to warcraft....like WoW....

3) DotA sucks.

4) DotA sucks. Wait, ddn't I already mention that? Right. Call me biased, but I hate DotA to the max, it's a waste of the server and there are much better things people could be doing then sorting through 100 dota's to find a map they actually want to play.

As well, there are MAJOR differences between TD's and Mauls. With a maul, most of them suck ass because anyone can pop one open, screw around with the races and call it their own. With a TD the creator has to demonstrate at least SOME skill by making the map from the ground up. These maps usually turn out better because the creator has more skill. Varrying terrain is always nice because I get sick off the same old maul format. As well, people host these goddamned unheard of mauls that were made for RoC and they of course suck ass. Do the world a favour and don't make a maul unless you know what you're doing and have more in store then just chaning up the races, the name and possibly the terrain. I've seen Mauls where the people were so friggen nooby they couldn't even change the name of the leaderboard from Wintermaul TD to that of their own little rip off. SAD.

Well there's always my maul XD And I'm up for a Wintermaul...as long as it's official or Reborn. I ocassionally play Wintermaul Wars. Starwars Maul is a good maul. Videogame Maul is also pretty good. Warcraft Maul is alright but it gets boring after you've beaten it with every race because it's so easy >.> I mean you could beat the game yourself on invincible if you choose nightelves >.> which of course all of the noobs do. The hardest race in that game is still the equivalent of crystal or demon in Wintermaul...

Apparently you didn't hear about the whole "troll war mod" thing over at wc3campaigns. . .basically he made another account just to make himself and his mod look good. . .now where is the link to that. . .dang can't find it sorry, maybe someone else can find it and post it here for me.

Anyways, my favorite maps are: (Or at least the ones I extremely like)
Battle Net:Any of the early Ninja vs. Samurai maps
Single Player:MetroidSfSP_BETA0.92<--I uploaded this into the maps section
Single Player and Battle Net:WOA Remix
Campaign:Ansiria - Light or Shadow[demo] but since that's projects not up anymore. . .:Return of AlisiaDragoon

I'll post more later.

TerranUp16 is a jerk man. all he cares about is trying to force his cruddy map on people. what he doesnt realize is that its almost 3 years in the making, no ones interested anymore. he started marketing it way, way, way before he should have, and everyone got excited (everyone that payed attention to it that is) because he was promising so much for it (and it looked like the first full conversion mod of wc3 with any popularity). time went on and we got nothing. he kept promising it was comming. he kept posting crap about it and giving people a hard time. he would break rules of websites when he posted his things about the Great Troll Wars (like posting it in all caps, or the entire thing in a set color) thus resulting in his getting banned from wc3campaigns. he thinks his mod is better than everyone elses, and i wouldnt be surprised if he'd be willing to kill someone (with no retributions to him of course) that he didnt know if it meant that everyone in the world would hear about and play his mod.

he seems like a nice enough guy when your talking to him about his map, but when you look up some of the crap hes said and done at some websites you see he's really a jerk at times. doh well, his project that he loves has been delayed for so long, id be pissed off to.

WILL THE ALMIGHTY

no he didn,t make it, but the updates were quite significant. after all, it was one of the only approved TDs at wc3c... one of the two actually.

Hmm, favorite single player maps are.

Seasons of Uncertanity RPG: The Dark Pheonix (By Gravano)

1.Best Single Player RPG map, I ever played. I recommend it to all people who have 4 to 5 free hours. It has also the best story I ever heard, better than warcraft it self.
Link

2.Legend of Magnador (By BlueEagle)
Almoast same as SoU: TDP (Note: There are 2 versions, Light and Heavy = Models/skins/music and some bug fixes. I recommend the Heavy one)

3.Dwarven Campaing (By GG&K)
What more can you say. Just search for it, its awsome.

I can go on if you want. I can't wait for our Wc3: WoW:coolgrunt:

Favorite Multiplayer maps.

I have many, but the most played multiplayer game is DotA. But i'll search for more, wait.

Seasons of Uncertainty is definitely one of the best maps ever. It looks a little crusty compared to some more recent maps, and the terrain is a little dodgy, but the story compensates for all of that and more.

Magnador was really tiresome in the later stages, what with the fighting system and having to tramp half-way across a huge map only to find your town is dead and have to tramp all the way back again; but yes, it was a good map.

Dwarf Campaign is quite teh hax indeed.

COT was my favorite, my friends and i would play that for hours, never ever have beaten the gods though. Footman was also very good, dont usually see that much customization for the units, and being able to close your doors was an awesome trait.

Quoted for so much truth. That game was so fun before the patch came out and made a stupid bug with one of the goddesses armor auras.

But I like Battle for Hoth. ToB. AotZ. BnB. Enfo's.
