Well basically... I hope to finish the new selection system tonite. Then... maybe I will release it. But I might want to do some polishes first, so it might be tommorow. But there should be quite a bit of progress on this map this week.

EDIT:
Well, I encountered a few problems along the way, so I doubt it'll be ready before I leave for school, but I hope to finish after I get back.

Holy Crap, the FPS system is awsome. I wonder what could be done with it... CoD 4... Mabye Desert Storm? Have a little RPS system, Tanks, AA tanks, Helos... Makes me think of the BF1942/BF2 DC mod...

The system and the game are nothing short of a HOLY CRAP!

Here it is. There are bugs, I do not know what they are, but rest assured I am sure you people will find bugs. It's not protected because I am just that awesome. :D

heres just a few list of bugs:
Your hero often deselects, which can get real annoying
The Text's Assault and such disappear after awhile. They also appear while in the map while u're actually playng
You can shoot through the outer walls of the bunkers in blood gulch
For some reason, when i ordered my guy to throw a grenade into the bunker from a distance away, he just dropped a grenade right next to me

Suggestions:
Medpacks
-Passive Items that enhance your overall performance
-Fix up the cave interior's exits, all they are atm are black squares.
-Different types of Grenades, like Spike Grenades, Flame Grenades, Frags, and Plasmas.
-Maybe change the bunkers so you're actually on top of the bunker, (if you've seen Blood Gulch screenshots) instead of sort of in a pit.
-Fix up the icon's little teal lines...it looks like its a scribble.
-A switch teams option. To balance things out if people leave.
-If at all possible, a Scope on the sniper rifle.
-Scoreboard?

Just my few bugs ive found/suggestions.
 
I have a few suggestions.

  • After you've chosen a mode or place or something of the sort, put the game in cinematic mode so the camera cannot be moved and the viewer's attention is more focused on the information.
  • Work on the terrain: Fix the trees in front of the cave entrance, add in the rocky area like in Halo (as I explained awhile back), add more areas, make "The Arena" run more smoothly with the system, work on the cave, and make the class selection area nicer looking.
  • Add class selection information. When you switch the unit you're viewing new information should pop up.

eh... if -balance is made possible, why havent u added it?
i havent tested it yet, but here are some suggestions just from reading it
make the balance option available only after X amount of players have left on the enemy team.
You should also place a Commands quest if u havent done so already
Just curious, does the 'nade launcher have splash?

I've found that too, when I have more time, I will think of a better balance for it. Either way, new version. Basically just more optimizations, nothing that will directly affect player. Except I added colorful display messages when selecting a hero, and an auto balance. Idk if anyone playing the full eight players had noticed... But Player 7 + 8 had no multiboard spot. Lol. Map size is slowly decreasing with these optimizations! Enjoy!

Well sorry guys my comp crashed and its being reformatted so itll be a little before i can work on this.

Hawkwing its been done for awhile now lol.
hawk I was planning on sprees n coloured msgs but idk How to colour them. So any help is appreciated.

Gikon key movement in multiplayer fails. Always. Plus idk if uve noticed but ppl seem to be having a fine time playing.

Yea it does, and no it does not lag. Though it can lag if done wrong...
Without it...it would be hard to play this...

Just to verify again, it does. You *could* use WASD, but just with the way it interacts (As in you have to take it off lagtime seconds before stopping, and so on . . . ) It would suck.

I found the grenade launcher almost impossible to aim.

just make it so u cant use jump in a certain regions. i think u can do that
and em, i just noticed this. you can select your rockets. i dont think uve given them locust.
And is it just me, or do the bullets kinda go in an arc?
more bugs:
1. player 4 on the red team's camera is fucked up
2. alot of players cant be certain classes, or are limited to certain classes.

Beautiful, but I suggest adding a movement system based on the w,a,s,d movement set, because clicking to move and shoot would get troublesome.
