Well, Umm let me start from this.
I've been designing my signature to a fitting more stuff and make a cooler signature, but the problem is there's a Limit on signatures. I've been pissing off from this Signature limit, but I've been seeing Other Hive members that their signatures are big. Anyway, I wanted a design like this.

I really want this to be suggested like from other forums that are vBulletin 3.5.1 PL2 I've been seeing this from other website, but I wish Hive 2 can add this in the future. Anyway.

God, they have the same signature limit as you do. It only looks bigger because they only have images/texts in their sigs.

Just think about the limit as some kind of challenge to make your sig look cool without filling the whole damn site with huge ass pictures.

I think the size limit of the output is ok, otherwise they could stretch threads extremly.

But What I don't really like is, that even the code of signature is very limited.

I use tabs for examples, but now I'm at it's limit.. I can't add one more tab, because message appears "Code is too long", even the output size of the signature would be not affected.

I'm one of the few that would prefer having their signature occupy a larger portion of the empty space beneath short posts.
Personally, I'd love to see a 50 pixel increase in height. But an active signature policy should be put.

I'm quite happy with the way it is, though if it were to be increased my immediate thought-responce would be along the lines of using a feature (with various options which can either automatically-adjust the signature size to fit people's signatures, or various fixed sizes (so that people who don't want it, don't have to go through the extra page stretching/scrolling). Given the tabbing option prehaps a general increase of the bbcode limits could be in order. But in general I think it's fine as-is

Current size limit is perfectly fine, even more so since your example is definitely too large, should the limit be changed.

So though I can understand the reason I rather see a slight increase in avatar size than more space used on a larger signature, when it is reasonably sized already, with plenty of space to do what one wants with it.

I kinda like that the hive has a smaller signature limit. I'd be okay with maybe a 10 px increase so that I can see the rest of Statharas' signature, but I wouldn't want it as big as the one you suggested. I think it would take up too much space. :( Sorry.

However, there is one thing I can agree with:

I use a table, and between all the tr tags and the url's, I end up at the limit. I could use a link shortener, but it is a bit of a hassle.

It's really only funny, if marginally, the first time. >.>

Anyhow, yeah, same as mostly the rest here's stated. The limit is fine, I remember being frustrated about it in the past, then I grew up. You don't want signatures to take up more page-space than actual posts, and there's always the liberty to re-size your sig so that it actually fits within the limits of the current settings.
