A wonderful re-imagination of the wc1 archer unit sprites. Great use of in-game textures and lovely edited icons. Amazing job.

Will probably add a version with helmet and shoulderpads to match the WC1 concept art more closely. And icons :p

edit: made a quick icon, it's pretty crappy so will probably replace it

Hmm yeah, will work on the shading a bit tomorrow.
Thanks! I think I'm almost halfway done with the WC1 techtree ^^

It's always lovely to see some new crossbowmen.
I do think that maybe a version with more details and/or armor would be nice.
I also think that the mail coif doesn't look very nice like that, but maybe that's just me.

    Great work!

    Thanks! ^^

Working on it, making a version with a helmet and shoulder pads. Will also give it boots instead of sandals.

Could you be more specific? Is it the shape of the mesh that could be better, and how? =)

I think is that it looks too much like hair

Comparing it with the villager man

Maybe he should have more of the head or the neck covered?

But I guess that does look less like the ingame WC1 archer.
Sorry for the delayed response, had some mousewheel shenanigans

Ah yes, you're right :p It actually is just the villager's hair retextured, with maybe a few triangles deleted IIRC xD

edit: @Galadgod how about this? still looks too much like hair?

Mm I guess, but as with my other WC1 units I'm changing the placement of the teamcolor a bit, so it's a bit more minimal and there's more room for detail.
I like it better like this :p

    I like the armored version.
A version in a tunic is similar to the model from the game Battle for Troy " if you add antique greaves, a helmet and a bow instead of a crossbow. + Low poly, you can use 1000 units, any calculator can handle it.

The geoset animations of the v2 model seem bugged. The shoulderpads still stay in geoset bone animation.
    Please fix that.
