Crossbowman Lordaeron

Lordaeron's crossbowman himself. Armed with a crossbow with tension mechanism type "goat's leg", and also a shield!(Karl!) The model has three additional animations with a shield (among others).

For the correct operation of the animation I recommend to use the following values:
Combat - Attack 1 - Animation Backswing Point 2.367
Combat - Attack 1 - Animation Damage Point 0.267
Combat - Attack 1 - Cooldown Time 2.36
Combat - Attack 1 - Projectile Speed 1700
Combat - Attack 1 - Weapon Type Missile (Line)
Art - Projectile Launch - X 12.03
Art - Projectile Launch - Y 20.00
Art - Projectile Launch - Z 67.00

An amazing pack of models. Very well made and executed. Great job.
Wow! This model is incredible! It's very creative and the result is amazing, I love it.
I just have one small suggestion: in stand and walk animations, the shield could be lowered a little, so the bottom of the body is better protected, like the original footman. It's not a big deal though, especially if you consider that the shield protects mostly against ranged attacks which describe an arc in the air, so it still makes sense.
I like how you always think of making two versions, one with and one without the Lordaeron L :)

Just one thing, though, and I might not be correct, but, I think that in the Stand Defend animation he should leave the shield on the ground, and just carry it if moving.
 
Great job, i will test it ingame. But im curious, when you attack while using defend, does it rise and put down the shield in every shoot? I mean, is that not weird if you are shooting standing in the same place? XD But i wonder is hard to make it fit all the posible variations. Nice model, eager to see the spearman.

Good on your for making actually useful models. My only complaint is the face. The facial hair textures are too muddy imo.

He raises and puts the shield down with each attack, when he raises it he only raises it to half of the distance. It was like an aswer to his question, i was not very specific :)

Thanks for the info. I may guess that it depends on attack speed, right? So if it has longer as, he will rise whole shield, and if he shoots quickly it rises it just a bit.

Idk how works what @Tuwnew but it may be the answer, im mapper, not modeler :/

Now I understand, Yes the animation "attack to defend" is played longer than usually, for this you need to increase her activity in the unit which you want to create.

Indeed i would prefer him to NOT rise the shield. I mean, as long as he is attacking he keeps the shield down, and only when he is going to move again, he rises his shield. It looks weird for me to have him doing gym exercises rising his shield in the middle of a combat xD

I do not paint the metal. But I can add inserts with TC. Let's see what we can do about it.
