    I agree on that, but depending on how much money is in the ad revenue, you might end up burning your bridges. Patreon is nice with its monthly payment system (and many users use it, so thats great too!), but ad revenue is more consistent.

    Tbh, I'd try out Patreon once and see how well it goes before removing the ads. You can make it a funding tier. But remember that Patreon takes 10% of your funds, so calculate that in.

    This 135$ are a one-time payment. The three benevolent users will revert to a lower tier after this month, which makes a lot of sense. I changed the payment model from per-creation to per-month, so Patreon still shows the old amount instead of the new one.

    Sure, bring Hive to Patreon; I'm pretty sure that people will help out with a passion.
    Then again, I've never found the adds on hive intrusive or annoying. If that is enough to finance the servers, why change a running system?

    Hey chief, I have a question about changing user name. If I remember correctly, there were some people who changed their user names like twice or more within a long enough period of time (once a year or per six month, was it?). I've read fladdermasken's thread about user name and it sounds like members may only change their user names once for a lifetime now. Is changing the user name more than once no longer allowed?

    I'm pretty sure I had disabled "Show Customized Profiles" in my control panel.
    Recently I mentioned that it was set back to enabled.

    Maybe you made some general code changes which affected some user settings, but maybe it's just also my rusty mind.

    Whenever I visit the site, the first thing that would show is an error "Service Unavailable". Due to that, I always have to refresh the page so that I can view it again.

    This always happens to me EVERYDAY.
