OOC: Ok, the rest who has not yet posted is out, at least for this mission. You are allowed to post the hell out of this thread now ;).
@Peper and Wigglz: It will take a while until you reach the place, you have to run around half of the river bend. But don't worrs, you will arrive when the time is best. (How has one GM once said it? "A character is never too late, Dave. Neither is he too early. He arrives exactly when the GM intends him to.")

IC: As K'rak is running,he begins to slow down. He contacts James via the radio. "If you are sending reinforcements, you best send them soon. I am unsure how much longer i can keep going,as i am physically exhausted" he says while breathing heavily.

OOC: Well, looks like we are back at the starting point except that now I have to get you out of there alive. That was exactly that what I had not wanted to happen, but I should probably have expected it. There are always users who read the introduction, join and then see the RP thread and fall silent, freezing the hell out of all those who want to play. So I should probably thank god several times for giving me three users that really want to play. Thanks guys, you are the best.
IC: "On second thought, keep you so-called 'specialists'. I have seen dead turtles reacting faster." The Commander was already halfway down the hill when James called him. Swearing, he answered over his radio: "You are picky." "That is my job. And if you would be picky too, you would not have to call me to rescue your ass." And with that, James left the hill and walked - towards the enemies encampment. Switching channel, he said to his team: "The reinforcements are canceled. Just keep running, and place the mines, I will finish the job."

"I don't know, I cannot see your position. The route is at the bottom of the slope you are running down right now."
After another minute of running, you reach the place. It is a flat piece of land between two hills, one you came down and the other leading up the northern cliff which is probably still teeming with snipers. With great urgency, you begin to place mines.

IC: Peper placed the mines spreadly and fast, as the enemies will cross this route.
He places it like a line, but with half meter range from each mine.
EDIT: OOC: This is an deleted and reposted post.
Sorry, but i think this after-4-day-bump are necessary. By the way what we supposed to do after placing the mines?
Once again i'm sorry if i bump too early.

OOC: Almost all the RP's are practically dead,Peper. Idk why,but lately i've found i can stay off this site for 2,sometimes 3 days, without a single post in most RP's

As you are halfway up the hill, you suddenly hear behind you a hollow blast. As you turn around, you can see several artillery shells decend over the base. Approximately ten meters above the camp, they explode and release several smaller missiles, spreading the Area of Impact. Just shortly after they hit, the sound of the first explosion reach your ears and only a few seconds after, the louder blast of the impact. Then they came. Under a second volley of SPMA shells, the 9th Mercenary Fleet decends over the hill towards the base. The first row are five Hellbenders that open fire on the observation tower. From the distance, the plasma balls are just small glowing dots, floating towards the tall structure. Then, one after the other explodes in a large light ball. The tower begins a rocking motion, swinging stronger with each hit. Then, probably with a ear- tearing sound that is only muffled by the distance, he begins to collapse. But in the same moment, one of Hellbenders is hit by something and explodes in a fireball that , the shockwave hitting the next of them, nearly throwing it over. The building at the northern river bend has opened its door, letting out the Goliath Tank the rebels stole. But as he turns his muzzle towards the next target, the Hellbenders turn around and scoop up the hill in zigzag curves, shooting their plasma balls, but neither of the vehicles can do any damage on the other.
Meanwhile, there is motion in the camp. The soldiers begin running around, gathering material, loading it into smaller vehicles, always endangered by the continued artillery fire that form some kind of deep and slow rythm in this music of battle. Just as you watch, one of the shells explodes directly next to one of the cars, throwing it into the next building, leveling one quarter of it with its explosion. The garage opens again, but on the other side, giving sight to a very strange vehicle taht seems to have a very large roof, protuding over the actual car. As it reaches the river, the roof suddenly begins to move independently and swings over the river, forming a bridge. With this, the soldiers stop packing, hop in the cars and drive over the newly-formed bridge. The artillery shots seemed to get more aimed, focusing on the top of the central cliff with the command center which gradually became a smoldering ruin.
There was another explosion, very close and very loud. The first vehicle has reached the mines and triggered them, disappearing in the fireball.

OOC: Killing the escapers.

OOC: Got it. But if they all turn and fire back at him, i doubt even K'rak's speed will save him considering his fatigued condition.

IC: K'rak took a deep breath as he saw the people trying to escape. "You distract them with sniper fire, i'll take out as many as i can" K'rak says as he dashes down the hill.

As the next mines explode, the escapers begin to react. The drivers hit on their brakes, some bringing their vehicles to a stand only centimeters away from the detection range. Others are not so lucky, sliding on the now-muddy grass directly into a mine. With the bullets of Peper coming out of the dark, the mines in front of them and more persons coming over the bridge, panic is spreading, but still there is someone giving orders. The vehicles form a barricade, the drivers jump out and take their guns to clean the way manually and to defend them against the sniper. So far, Peper has not hit anything.
The soldiers firing in the mine field realise that these are no cheap proximity mines, since nothing explodes at all.
"Whole formation 3 degreed west and 1 degree up." James hung still wet somewhere at the eastern cliff, clinging with his left hand and his feet to the rock, holding in his free hand a radio to give the artillery commands. "Fuse time 5.73 seconds" He had noticed the bridge tank immediately, but he could not react fast enough to prevent the escape of many soldiers because he had to calculate the coordinates first. But the next strike would hit. He watched the dark shapes of the shells forming their parabolas in the sky, flying over battle szene of the goliath and the hellbenders surrounding him and descending finally over the river. The fuse time could not have been better. Just two meters above the bridge the shrapnel charge was triggered, the shockwaves hitting the bridge fractions of a second before the missiles hit themselves. The bridge bend, twisted and finally broke like a splinter of wood. One of the shells hit the ground near the ground near the vehicle. It was not flipped over as James had hoped, but still rocked around, making the rest of what was left of the brigde point uselessly into the sky.
The rain of war, James thought. Then he told them the next coordinates.

K'rak stopped running and immediately dived for cover behind a large rock. Now that the bridge is useless to them, they will most likely run towards my position he thought to himself. He gripped his knife tightly and let out a small growl. "Let them come" he said coldly.

As Peper moved, some of the soldiers noticed him and began to shoot. A whole Zoo of different missiles flew in the direction of the running BioMech. Assault rifle bullets, Link Gun Plasma missiles, even Flak Shrapnel ammunition. But due to the great distance and the darkness, nothing actually hit.
With Peper concentrating on running and K'rak hiding behind a stone, no one noticed the huge shape that was visible among the soldiers. It suddenly grapped one of them and without hesitating, threw it into the line of mines. Then it ordered all vehicles to drive excatly through the position of the explosion. While the first car started, it looked up. It saw an artillery shell coming towards it.
But James had also no time to admire his exact calculation. He stared at the Goliath which still hold its ground against the Hellbenders which had lost two more vehicles. If the machine did the wrong thing, all would be lost.

OOC: It takes it time because the earth is a god-dammned sphere. When Peper is online, I have school.
Narrating:
The first car that drove through the gap in the line of mines had no luck. The mine left of it triggered, flipping it over into the one to the right. But then, the was was free for the rest of them. One car veered through the artillery explosions, drove through the gap and was about to disappear in the landscape. It stayed a sole one because most of the rest was tumbling around battered by the SPMA bombardement.
The Goliath drivers meanwhile seemed to notice that they protected an empty base and drove backwards without turning, still holding the hellbenders at bay. "Commander, call back the infantry! We need the Cicadas up NOW!" "You are completely mad! That dammned Goliath is still out there" The Commander was obviuosly not convinced. "Fuck this Goliath. Start them or you will have to chase the escapers through the whole continent."

OOC: Alright then..
IC: K'rak dives out of cover and quickly dispatches one of the soldiers. Then, just in case any soldiers fire at him,he holds the dead body up as a human shield to provide some cover.

OOC: I'm totally sorry because I cannot give you a good reason why I was offline the last week. I somehow just not felt like being online.
IC:
No one seemed to notice K'rak. They stared up in the sky from where still deadly artillery shells rained or to the front, where still some mines laid in wait. A shrapnel exploded not far from K'rak away and the shockwave threw him in the air, sending him flying back up the hill, half buried under the corpse he still held in his claws. Now someone seemed to notice him. A huge person watched the tumbling flgiht of the two bodies, took his weapon and marched toward the heap of limbs. As he comes closer, you see that it is not a human. It is a Skaarj, holding a Flak Cannon ready. His face if severed by severaly skars and one of his tusks is broken off. On his right shoulder, there is a huge patch of leather with his clan mark imprinted.
OOC: The bigger the clan mark, the higher the rank.
IC: The nice background sound of explosions and detonation was suddenly disturbed by the sound of a river flowing around a large object. The Goliath attempted to cross the river.

OOC: Holy SH** that thing sounds tough lol
IC: K'rak drops the body. It seems as though apart from the Skaarj he is still unnoticed. He holds his knife tightly. I'll be needing you soon my friend he thinks as he runs towards the Skaarj.

BOOM. The Flak Cannon went of as soon as K'rak was on his feet. The shrapnels hit his left side, throwing him again into the air and severing his arm. He lands on harder ground, indicated by the cracking of his tail and his chest bones as he hit the ground. As he tries to rise again, he collapses. The pain is too great and his vision begins to blur.
The Skaarj approaches slowly, a big expression that was supposed to be a grin on his face. The weapon was still aimed at him and ready for a second volley. And this time it would not only hit the side.
Then, a small and fast bullet suddenly hits the head of the big creature, turning his head on the impact. The Skaarj cries and shakes his head, sprinkling the grass with blood. He turns his massive body towards the enemy that had delivered him this blow - Peper. Before he advances towards the sniper, he throws a last glance at K'rak. With horror, you notice that one of his eyes and his nose are now no more than a mess of flesh, tissue and blood.
Meanwhile, unnoticed from the three combatants, a new, flying death had appeard on the battlefield. Five Cicadas flew quickly over the meadows on the other side of the river towards the base. James left his position and dived into the water below him.
