Story
Background Story
Twelve peaceful years have passed since The Great War ended. The war that lasted centuries but no man could recall the reason of. The age of despair, bloodshed, loss and grief is now past. The new age brought the opportunity for human kingdoms to rise, as humanity has broken free from the grip of the dragons.

This story focuses on Kingdom of Balgaron and three famous Dragon Slayers: Phodom, Fradz and Galeoth. Each of them starts their journey in different places, but they will eventually meet eachother and join forces along the path. Together, the three are forced to go a conflict beyond their imaginations.

Lead them into an epic world, guided by a strong storyline that covers hate, love, war and peace.

The honored Dragon Slayer Phodom gave up his life as a warrior and began a new life with his wife and his children, far away from the capital of Balgaron in the small town called Dalli. All his plans were going smooth and easy until someone steps into his life and changes everything...Fradz is a young energetic Dragon Slayer known for his short temper and bad manners. This silly thief is a very powerful warrior and it is said that he even killed powerful dragons single-handedly. After the war, Fradz went on many journeys, but one day a mysterious voice told him to travel to the famous Dragon Inn to meet someone who was once very close to him. Fradz accepts this new journey, as he knows that he cannot decline it...Galeoth, the son of a legendary Dragon Slayer lived up to his father's name and became one of the leaders of Balgaron. After the war, Galeoth still believed that the war was not yet over. His obsession to find dragons led him towards the Icy Mountains where he is about to uncover a horrible secret that will change the fate of mankind...

All abilities remade and new abilities: Battle Banner, Fiery Ball, Fire Power, Ultimate Sacrifice, Counter Attack, Energy Shield, High Strike, Crystal Plane, Galeoth's Order, Illusion Army, Magic Convert and Magical Fog.
'Critical Chance' attribute added! It starts from 5% and it can be increased various ways.
Now also Strenght increases Critical Damage just like Agility.
Chapter 5 Pumpking Quest's second cinematic updated.

Vacuum's area of effect reduced. You cannot grab items from far away anymore.
Background stories and so-called "Books" are completely added to all chapters in this version.
Every single Spell Book spell has been added to the campaign!
Many new items and item changes. For example, superior items, which costs a huge amount of gold, are added to middle chapters; however, they're worth it!
Improved the multiboard a lot. Now it is more informative and better organized.
Combat kings once again rebalanced and changed. The major thing is that now they all cost 2 Honor Points.
Espers improved and made even stronger. Please come and tell me what you think about the Espers now. I've seen that players don't use them and I really want to make them useful.
Many changes to the starting packs! Now they should be balanced, every single one of them!
Stealing improved; now it shows the percentages.
Easter Eggs added; currently just 2 but there will be a total of 12 Easter Eggs. Check them all out!

Now each INT gives 10 mana instead of 15.

Chapter 7 is now opened.
Boss points are now removed from the game. You can still change your Boss points to Honor points by writing this code: "-change".
Remade all item, ability, spell, esper and all other descriptions: they are now shorter and easier to read.
There is only fire, ice, and lightning spells now.
Improved multiboard by a lot, added some new stats to it also.
Added new combat kings and new spells. Combat Kings now only go up to level 5.
Added some more tactical meaning to the battle: some abilities can do or use buffs called Brittle, Stagger, and Bleed. For example some other abilities can use these buffs to deal increased damage.
Now Special abilities will increase by every level instead of every fifth level.
All professionals are now universal.
The Critical Damage bonus starts from 100% instead of 0%. The chance to do a Critical Hit is still 10%.
Once again, more items.
New Spell System: Instead of spell books you can easily use spells from left corner just like potions.
The file size is now bigger because I imported some resources to the campaign. The expected file size in the end will be about 120mb to 140mb. I hope the file size won't be a problem.
New balanced attack and armor types: Sharp, Blunt, Magic, Light, Medium, Heavy, Sturdy and Elemental.
Now some enemies are categorized as Summoned, Undead, Drgon and Monster. Some items and abilities can do extra effects to them.
Now enemies won't do their abilities while stunned.
The campaign is now optimized and protected. All thanks to Shadow Daemon for creating the awesome "campaign optimizator" program".
Fixed some bugs.




New Steal System.
Most of the item descriptions are updated.
Some of the items are remade.
Upgraded Lucky Boxes and put new unique items.
And a lot of bug fixes.




Fixed a starting bug from chapter 3. It should now work properly.
Added proper descriptions to the difficulties.




Removed some test items from chapter 1 beginning.




Chapter 6 is now opened.
Now Item Sets have own unique icons.
Honor Shop Disabled. "Ability Bonus" system will be added later to the campaign that replaces Honor Shop Items.
Remade Esper System.
Remade Summon System.
Remade some of the spell book spells.
Chapter item descriptions to easier to read.
Now there are only two magical balls instead of three. Also now they give solid magic bonus instead of percent.
Removed Phodom's speciality that gives plus one Dig Power every 10th level.
Also changed Professions bonuses.
Some of the spell book spells are remade and balanced such as first Fire Spell.
Added Game Panel where you can for example eat food, move your boxes and cast espers.
And many, many other changes. Once again so many changes I simply cannot remember everything.




Save & load combat kings and spell book spells are fixed.
Restore Panel fixed.
Fixed vitality system.
Six new Galeoth abilities: Chill of the Frost Master, Frozen Storm, Icy Barrage, Inner Light, Mesmerizing Ice Crystal and Piercing Shard.
Combat Kings are remade. All high tier combat kings aren't remade yet.
After every cinematic units you had selected before will be selected for you automatically.
Now quests will give experience like before.
Fixed chapter 5 ending.
Chapter 1 Boss, Chapter 1 Elite Boss, Chapter 3 Boss and Chapter 3 Elite Boss battles are now improved.
Fixed Code Puzzle.
Fixed Kaza Leader Dialog.
Remade Chapter 5 Elite Boss Fight and fixed few problems of it.
Now Main Quest 3 can be completed right after watching The Bridge Cinematic at chapter 5.

Fradz model is now changed. Thanks to Kitabatake who made it from the beginning to the end.
Galeoth model is now changed. Thanks Fan for starting the model and making most of it and Kitabatake for finishing it.
Whole stats based systems combined to one big, simple and more powerful system. Credits to Kitabatake for helping me creating this new system.
A new system! Boss status system. All thanks for Maker who created this system.
Now Agility Stat will give critical dmg and evasion chance.
Chapter 1 Boss and Chapter 1 Elite Boss are now slightly stronger and they have some new special abilities.

Illusory Double illusions now will take 500% damage compared to Fradz from 1000% damage.

Fixed Zwill Blade's synthesis, now it should be able to create.
Increased Phodom's base movement speed from 250 to 275.
Spell book spells are cooldown are now changed. Here are the cooldowns from first to fourth 90/180/300/once per chapter.

Fixed a bug and now Black Market sells the correct item: Third Hand. Now you finally can actually get the Thief Set at chapter 2.
Fixed Anthenex Esper's attack type.
Fixed Bronze Shovel bug and the dig power at multiboard.
Now Lightning Orb's buff should not give any advance to enemies.
Fixed Omega Orb and now it should summon Elemental Golems every 15 to 90 seconds.
Items Zwill Blade and Aerial Shoes are now made stronger




Chapter 3 is now open.
Fixed Combat Kings where they were always rested to level 1 after loading.
Fixed a difficulty settings in chapter 2 as they were too weak for the stronger difficulties. Now enemies are stronger as they should be(ATK: 0%/0%/10%/20%/30% & HP: 0%/0%/15%/45%/75%).
Changed Ground Zero's cooldown from 20 seconds to 15 seconds
Edited Aura Of Fire, now it also do damage per second.
Fixed chapter 2 epic boss' passive spells. Now there's something actually.
Fixed Alchemist bug that didn't allow Phodom to reach further levels.

Tried to sell a Rejuvenation branch to a shop at the start of the campaign.

Suddenly I lost the campaign and it told me not to use _cheats_ ???!?!

What the fuck ? Thats pretty fucking pathetic.

ME TOO!! I want to sell my junk and its sayin that i cheated :mad:

I dont understand why cant i play it i downloaded the warcraft 3 from torrentai.lt and when i start the campaing it only shows a black screen plz help me?:ogre_frown:

ur w3 doesn't support save files, they dissappear when u finish any map, all info poof.
for the black screen, you'll need v1.26a to play it.

btw, any bloody bastard manage to kill dragon spirit in 10 mins? neeed hinttt (i started at hardcore mode)

btw Chaotic Rift is so OP that it push boss to a corner and their spawns get stuck at some doodads, e.g spider queen(swamp), slurgur(swamp boss), Giant Golem(optional quest), some of the boss won't wake up which gives the hero more time to medidate before finishing them. is this legit? >=D

edit: went tallooning today, at 10% of his hp theres sooooooo d@mn many... like d@mn many... tree spawned out that BURNS MP. then both my heroes manage to glitch through the circle limit and run out of the ring, collision size much =D, do fix the prob or it will be OP as i spam lightning orb until talloon died xd

When I tried to get the magic orb with my inventory boxes for the first time, instead of the getting the regular orb, I got the dummy version of the orb.

Put it in the hero. It has been programmed to changed when a hero picks it. Probably because it changes into a "diffrent" item with every stack

If it looks OP without trying then it isn't legit and it is a bug. If it is OP because you pumped specific items to boost it then it is legit
Example:putting All stats on Fradz for his ultimate 10 hits because they stack with alot of things so it ends with like 30k per a hit and it hits 10 times. That is OP but only because of the items, without them it deals low dmg.

at chapter 5 with phodom and fradz, the white mist forest have an invisible acolyte that goes visible after i enter/exit the forest, which gives me a d@Mn jumpscares, what is that for? its level 82 acolyte with a few common items, stading between 2 short pillar stone at bottom left in the forest.

Does it have anything? i haven't finish killing John yet so i'm not sure. (could need a breaktime to change my items everytime John transform - -' facking deaths went like 50++ since dragon spirit, imagine the total loading time spent lolz)

btw whats with fradz hitting archer's cinematic as well, o o, his char starts to remind me of Nathan from Adventure of Rowan the wise Custom campaign...

Some units's click radius needs to big decrease... not possible without reducing its size though.... like fradz's lightning orb and some of the boss's minion, most of them block my clicking point :\ anyone else having this prob?

About cheats

You can choose your difficulty from easy, normal or hard. Choose is yours.


Slow and boring? Well then it's not your type campaign! And there is "anti-cheat" system which won't allow people to cheat.

:vw_death: i jsut want cheats online for only resource nothing more :| like in the hardcore levels :|

This map is slow and boring and when i tried to write something and it failed the campaign.

Slow and boring? Well then it's not your type campaign! And there is "anti-cheat" system which won't allow people to cheat.
Agree with Aero, this campaign is good cuz of many things and cheat may destroy all his work: boss fight, wanderring for some item, looking for some elite bosses, .... with no cheat, you can enjoy the campaign, by the other way.And if you don't want to do that, you can play other campaign. Cheater destroy the game....
If you want to play cheat, there's a mode that allow you to do.

so i went around chapter 7 solving puzzles around raping mini-bosses and killing those huge shit bosses.... before that, i know Galeoth's smoke cloud and Phodom's Flag Banner is unavailable to prevent cheating from the Tower defense puzzle. (not sure why Phodom's fire orb was banned though..). Without those 2 it was a nightmare for a first timer like me playing in the Expert mode.. (although my fradz's flash strike could deal x4 of 4000 damage PER SLASH, when given the banner buff,cloud buff and Agility buffer items)

But heres what happen in my encounters during playing the City Chapter:
-Jade Cloak which contains charges that can be used to increase armor, when reached 0, the item DISAPPEARS. . .
-Fradz missing 1 inventory box and it appears when fradz uses dig (Wtf?)
-after finishing Lich stage infront of the church, Phodom and Galeoth's inventory box COMPLETELY DISAPPEARS, i suggest others don use F+W during Lich's boss stage.
-everytime druid or elementalist tries to transform near a side of the arena, they get on the side platform which is is hardly attackable for Phodom, in this case elementalist will have the sure win situation as the rain of fire just keeps rains down on you.
-the auction seems to be stuck at Lucky Horseshoe repeatedly even after being bought by AI. So i think i missed out on Holgro and was unable to get one anymore...
-actually the tower defense puzzle gives 2 honor point if a player REALLY DID MANAGE TO finish it, and heres the bug, when Galeoth is casting Frozen Storm (his ultimate), and you activate the game and start it, Galeoth is not immobilize and can be able to attack the animals outside the fence. don worry it won't work on other events, i tried =), only this event does not immobilize galeoth

I just finished chapter 9 and it says that the campaign is finished. I just also read that there are 10 chapters BUT I only see 9 chapters. So help... how can I get to Ch 10?

I had no this problem before, but when I start first mission Phodom do not appear and when I use "iseedeadpeople" to reveal the map everything is fine but there is no Phodom :ogre_rage: .
Has anyone else such problem?

Bug on Fradz shield ability, game crashes when used.
Campaign is awesome otherwise.. wish i can get past that point.
Deserves a 5/5, but gave it 4/5 for now. Will change rating once bug is fixed.

Hey Aeroblyctos...
I'm new here. I just started playing "The Chosen Ones"...
From the looks of it, you seemed to have put a ton of effort on it. The story is amazing.
The unusually long loading screen can't be helped, obviously, since a lot of contents have been put in the game. So I guess there's nothing that can be done there since I've read in Doomlord's walkthrough that it happens regardless of the type of pc we're using.

I'm actually at chapter 2 right now...

I just have some questions though...

1. Is it possible to kill the Murloc boss in chapter 1 on your first try? That thing just zaps my hp with single hits, and I can only manage to wipe off only 75% of its hp, after furiously switching over items, spells, and commands....

2. How in the world does the lever puzzle work in chapter 1?

I think i found a bug; in Ch 1 in that Dalli village i tried to sell an item directly from the inventory box and the game recognized it as cheating and demanded to either restart or load the game. since the loading is so long , i really try my best not to die or do something stupid so i have to restart it , so i guess it should be fixed. Tho on a side note, the map is simply fascinating, everything is well designed and a tremendous effort has been put in it. Also, im also wondering about the lever puzzle :p

I know how it is supposed to be, but levers simplt wont move at all . I clicked them a million times, nothing happens -_-

Did you try attacking them with the "Attack" button?

Yeah it is possible depending on how you picked your abilities also if you use your potions and you have your ultimate you should be able to defeat him quite easily. Your Ability build is very important for the whole game, if you can't kill the Murlock then I recommend starting over since even if you get to chapter 8 you won't be able to pass it. Also if you are gonna start over check several pages back about some abilities being disabled later on the game since there is a bug that disables specific abilities after chapter 4-5.

History, present and future

Hey everyone,

I haven't gave many words after I stopped doing the project before the last Summer. Since then as you may know I've been writing the book that will continue and expand the story even further. Let me say that in last half year the story has grown more than I've written last five years and that's a fact.


History

I started the project year 2007. I quickly completed first 9 chapters of 10. Then I decided to remake the campaign and I finished 6 chapters. Then another remake and now I've finished 9 chapters. I decided about half a year ago that I will not create the interludes but those can be easily read from here.


What happened 9 months ago?

Why I didn't finish the campaign back then? Because I simply lost motivation as I've lost many times before. Fixing endless bugs, adding new abilities and improving or adding new systems to the gameplay. Those things will eventually get boring. But as we know, there are some problems with the campaign we can never fix. I tried and I failed.

But there were also some private things too that I haven't told before. I realized I cannot forever live with my parents doing this campaign and in the meantime do some random studying without any motivation and completing them just barely. So I needed money and I put those donation things but they never really worked.

So I went to a few jobs but those didn't work either. I never got paid. So in other words I kind of got depressed. As I'm such a positive man people can't see it from outside. Even my best friends. We Finnish people are just too stupid and we don't talk about these things even to our closest ones.


Future

Like I've said many times beofre, I am writing a book. Hell yes I am!

There are five phases. I'm now at the second phase(the longest and the hardest one). 60% completed!

1) At the first phase I simply design the book.
2) At the second phase I write the book.
3) At the third phase I check what I've written, fix grammar and write some parts I haven't yet written(skipped for some reason).
4) At the fourth phase I give the book to my friends or my family so they can read what I've done. We fix together grammar errors I haven't found yet and perhaps fix some other things. At this phase I will also start doing TCO once again. This phase can take some time because people those who help don't have all the time in the world and that's why doing TCO is using the time wisely.
5) I start to search a publisher or think about putting the story to the internet. Also here I can do TCO too or start the second book planning and writing. Well, a lot of things has been planned already for the first 5 books.

(Axobada, Yurgimar and Zeemnan all the way to other three worlds and so on.)

There's always a possibility that I can start doing TCO at any time if I feel like it.


Final words

Doing TCO and writing the book has been such a ride of joy and sadness. Nowadays I've just started to love feelings where I cry for happy and beautiful things. I just hope that I can give you something with these words and with these stories.

if you have phoenix strike, all is possible (not work with boss has over 100k health)

:O that's easy one. try to experiment with different spells :) i prefer stunning spells :D
so i get like perma stun combo while doing huge amount of dmg. but still it vary with starting pack you chose :)

most probably the dragon spirit, it 1 hit ko Phodom easily during lightning form, stays invulnerable during earth form, clone a shietload during fire form which accounts for 60% of the time taken in the time limit, it is very very hard to kill unless you have the sacrificial ultimate, players who uses chaotic rift and play the most hardest most in their first time will have no problem in many stage except this boss.

It was part of the epic boss area. The section where you had two large golems and you had to kill them. I searched for an answer and the most common one was bring them both to red then kill them both. do it twice for the orb. After about 2 hours of attempts I accidently killed one of them before the other (both were in red) and somehow I got the orb piece. So all in all It worked out somehow. Not sure how but I got every piece of the orb.

Is the dragon spirit really that hard? All I do is steal its treasure then phoenix combo it and it dies. Maybe that still works on levels hard and below. So far every boss up to chapter 5 I've been able to kill with that spell. I think its bugged for me because it says it does about 10000 damage per strike, strikes 12 times and then a bonus 2500 at the end. the hardest boss I've found is the epic boss in chapter 5 where it has 3 lives and phoenix combo has a 3 minute cooldown.

I think its bugged for me because it says it does about 10000 damage per strike, strikes 12 times and then a bonus 2500 at the end. the hardest boss I've found is the epic boss in chapter 5 where it has 3 lives and phoenix combo has a 3 minute cooldown.

That's why if you want to enjoy the game you don't pick phoenix combo. The formula for Phoenix Combo is bad and it ends up killing everything without a problem. The diffrence in the difficulty with and without phoenix combo is too big to compare. I've played it with and without it so trust me. The epic bosses usually have phases that you practically skip because of that spell + It's probablly gonna disappear on chapter 8/9 alongside other spells just like it disappeared for a lot of other people (Including me on my first playthrough).

I advise you to start from the beginning and pick the AOE ultimate (and maybe check which spells won't disappear later on.). That way you'll atleast be able to experiance it to the fullest.

ERROR!!!

Picked up an ERROR through all the games. if you stash something in your box(s) and select an item from one of those box(s) and try and sell it via the box... the game kicks you out claiming you some how cheated.

I did this with the item 'evil eye' on level one, but it does this on any level.
I am in hardcore mode...and ya I think that's it.

A quick fix for this could be that you can sell items directly from your box... without having to be near a town

The heal

There is a bug in phodom like he has that heal with the hand emblem sorry i forget the name well to the point well when its lvl 3 it heals as if it is lvl 1 can you fix it?

in chapter 4, I can't find the thief in the south... no hits or clues to where he is and I've been searching an hour with nothing left to kill

I'm playing on hardcore and haven't defeated the boss creature yet

Well, I play right now, got screwed by vampire lord in the basement in chapter 5 being invulnerable and my savestate was WAAAY back when I started the Chapter....

You know what the WORST part about this is?

I remember playing this campaign several times to the point where the 7th chapter was out. And never I have encountered this many bugs as with this version. It is really frustrating. For instance

1. Phoedom's 5th skill doesn't appear in his skill panel in general. I've got the fireelemental (which is useless with most bosses, as most of them don't call in minions. You still get the minor damage though), but some other skill I can't remember just isn't there.
2. Fratz's Flashstrike and Ultimate don't always hit. This was especially frustrating with the elite-boss of chapter 2, he just teleported all around and did no damage. No matter what I did. Had to kill him with anything else I got (normal attack, lightning elemental, this armor-corroding stab).
3. The Vampire thing I and many others already mentioned, The one invulnerable one forced me to load a savestate that was like 2 hours before I got to him (was pretty far already).
4. Phoedoms overpowered ultimate (phoenix combo) can screw you as well, killing the normal boss of chapter 4 with it results in you stuck-in-limbo (mainly because there's a scene bound to happen when boss is at half hitpoints, but this still shouldn't be possible.

There are probably many more bugs to be found, and I'm so frustrated. This always was the trademark of what a good rpg on Warcraft 3 should be like. I always respect you for the great work you did with it.

I just don't understand how things that where apsolutely working suddenly are not. Why is Phoedom doing this vast amounts of damage with phoenix strike? Added one 0 too much to the calculation or something? Why does Fratz suddenly decide to sometimes not even attack when using ultimate/flash strike? Why are there so many bugs in early chapters I did NEVER encounter when I played it! And I played like 4 or 5 different version starting from 1.6. It was always so awesome, now it just frustrates the hell out of me.

It also saddens me that you don't intend to finish this campaign properly. Could you at least allow someone else to fix the bugs? (if someone wants to put that kind of work in here that is - I'm sadly unskilled).



Other than that, I know what it's like when you suddenly have big financial problems and are fighting against getting homeless. I'm apsolutely behind you first figuring this out. But as far as I read on your page you don't intend to ever continue or at least fix this project and I dearly ask you to reconsider this.

mana burn on ice hammer doesn't work i can't kill the ghost

it seems that ice hammer doesn't have mana burn instead i use magic torment to obtain mana burn and kill the ghost.

i watch hamza's play through and i see that he bought orb of magic in the ghost shop i play version 1.9i but when i click in that ghost shop i never seen anything on that shop but on the other ghost shop i see soul orb and also i see that they have the same description on hamza's video which is confusing. Soul orb and magic orb is it the same? or is it change on this version

chapter 8

at ice cavern challenge the golem doesn't respawn and it's really hard to pull them toward to the center of the cavern map. i can't find all the dig spot

chapter 9

can't cast fradz and galeoth book spell and also can't explore the entire map i don't know if there is a missing bridge or something.

i finish the game but i want to start a new one but i want to use load from the end how can i do that?
