Story
Background Story
Twelve peaceful years have passed since The Great War ended. The war that lasted centuries but no man could recall the reason of. The age of despair, bloodshed, loss and grief is now past. The new age brought the opportunity for human kingdoms to rise, as humanity has broken free from the grip of the dragons.

This story focuses on Kingdom of Balgaron and three famous Dragon Slayers: Phodom, Fradz and Galeoth. Each of them starts their journey in different places, but they will eventually meet eachother and join forces along the path. Together, the three are forced to go a conflict beyond their imaginations.

Lead them into an epic world, guided by a strong storyline that covers hate, love, war and peace.

The honored Dragon Slayer Phodom gave up his life as a warrior and began a new life with his wife and his children, far away from the capital of Balgaron in the small town called Dalli. All his plans were going smooth and easy until someone steps into his life and changes everything...Fradz is a young energetic Dragon Slayer known for his short temper and bad manners. This silly thief is a very powerful warrior and it is said that he even killed powerful dragons single-handedly. After the war, Fradz went on many journeys, but one day a mysterious voice told him to travel to the famous Dragon Inn to meet someone who was once very close to him. Fradz accepts this new journey, as he knows that he cannot decline it...Galeoth, the son of a legendary Dragon Slayer lived up to his father's name and became one of the leaders of Balgaron. After the war, Galeoth still believed that the war was not yet over. His obsession to find dragons led him towards the Icy Mountains where he is about to uncover a horrible secret that will change the fate of mankind...

'Critical Chance' attribute added! It starts from 5% and it can be increased various ways.

Improved chapter 3's ending dialogues (outdated).
Vacuum's area of effect reduced. You cannot grab items from far away anymore.
Background stories and so-called "Books" are completely added to all chapters in this version.
Every single Spell Book spell has been added to the campaign!
Many new items and item changes. For example, superior items, which costs a huge amount of gold, are added to middle chapters; however, they're worth it!
Improved the multiboard a lot. Now it is more informative and better organized.
Combat kings once again rebalanced and changed. The major thing is that now they all cost 2 Honor Points.
Espers improved and made even stronger. Please come and tell me what you think about the Espers now. I've seen that players don't use them and I really want to make them useful.
Many changes to the starting packs! Now they should be balanced, every single one of them!
Stealing improved; now it shows the percentages.
Easter Eggs added; currently just 2 but there will be a total of 12 Easter Eggs. Check them all out!
Mystic Storm and Frost Shard recoded.
From this version onwards, a number of items can only be bought once. Choose wisely and try not to lose those items. You cannot buy them again!
Small changes to abilities, but not much. I plan to once again balance them in the coming minor versions. For example, I was thinking to completely remove Bleed, Brittle and Stagger. What do you think?

Now every fourth ranked synthesis Item will require a Zozi to reduce player from getting too many powerful items at early chapters.
Now each STR gives 20 health instead of 25.
Now each INT gives 10 mana instead of 15.
Chapter 4 Wisps are now easier to catch
Black merchant can only be seen between 24:00 to 6:00 o'clock.

Chapter 7 is now opened.
Boss points are now removed from the game. You can still change your Boss points to Honor points by writing this code: "-change".
Remade all item, ability, spell, esper and all other descriptions: they are now shorter and easier to read.
There is only fire, ice, and lightning spells now.
Improved multiboard by a lot, added some new stats to it also.
Added new combat kings and new spells. Combat Kings now only go up to level 5.
Added some more tactical meaning to the battle: some abilities can do or use buffs called Brittle, Stagger, and Bleed. For example some other abilities can use these buffs to deal increased damage.
Now Special abilities will increase by every level instead of every fifth level.
All professionals are now universal.
The Critical Damage bonus starts from 100% instead of 0%. The chance to do a Critical Hit is still 10%.
Once again, more items.
New Spell System: Instead of spell books you can easily use spells from left corner just like potions.
The file size is now bigger because I imported some resources to the campaign. The expected file size in the end will be about 120mb to 140mb. I hope the file size won't be a problem.
New balanced attack and armor types: Sharp, Blunt, Magic, Light, Medium, Heavy, Sturdy and Elemental.
Now some enemies are categorized as Summoned, Undead, Drgon and Monster. Some items and abilities can do extra effects to them.
Now enemies won't do their abilities while stunned.
The campaign is now optimized and protected. All thanks to Shadow Daemon for creating the awesome "campaign optimizator" program".
Fixed some bugs.

Most of the item descriptions are updated.
Some of the items are remade.
Upgraded Lucky Boxes and put new unique items.
And a lot of bug fixes.

Added Game Panel where you can for example eat food, move your boxes and cast espers.
And many, many other changes. Once again so many changes I simply cannot remember everything.

Six new Galeoth abilities: Chill of the Frost Master, Frozen Storm, Icy Barrage, Inner Light, Mesmerizing Ice Crystal and Piercing Shard.
Combat Kings are remade. All high tier combat kings aren't remade yet.
After every cinematic units you had selected before will be selected for you automatically.
Now quests will give experience like before.
Fixed chapter 5 ending.
Chapter 1 Boss, Chapter 1 Elite Boss, Chapter 3 Boss and Chapter 3 Elite Boss battles are now improved.

Fixed Kaza Leader Dialog.
Remade Chapter 5 Elite Boss Fight and fixed few problems of it.

Increased Phodom's base movement speed from 250 to 275.
Spell book spells are cooldown are now changed. Here are the cooldowns from first to fourth 90/180/300/once per chapter.

Fixed a bug and now Black Market sells the correct item: Third Hand. Now you finally can actually get the Thief Set at chapter 2.
Fixed Anthenex Esper's attack type.
Fixed Bronze Shovel bug and the dig power at multiboard.
Now Lightning Orb's buff should not give any advance to enemies.
Fixed Omega Orb and now it should summon Elemental Golems every 15 to 90 seconds.

good to hear! so do i have to redue chapters 2 and 3 because of the fix?

edit: wait! before you update please read and consider. as another alternative to the inventory problem that really sets in in chapter 4 couldnt you add one extra box? have it unaffected by the -mb command thereby forcing it to stay at the beginning of the level. to protect it from exploitation youd have to introduce it into chapter 4. but other than that let it act like any normal box. sound good? my other idea was the perpetualy following wisps with 3 inventory spaces to be added for each character.

I am working on CBS. Actually CBS was already ready for importing and use, but Aeroblyctos decided we needed a better interface (I must agree).
However, many things changed since then, and now I must probably remake the system's core, which will take a lot of time. I'd like to see my system released with version 2.4 or 2.5, but I fear such will not be possible.

Still, Aero, you should start creating the icons for the items, it will save us time.

  • Fixed a major bug in chapter 6 Galeoth's spells didn't load.
  • Fixed murloc set bug. Now the combination works.
  • Fixed Fradz's Flash Strike. However, if you have played earlier version and you load Fradz, Fradz will not have Flash Strike.
  • Some new stuff after you killed epic boss(for example Jade Ring).
  • All three heroes have one new box. This means now there are 6 boxes instead of 3.
  • Fixed other bugs you guys mentioned.
  • New commands for boxes.
  • Five new spells for Galeoth.
  • => Frozen Fang - Galeoth summons a fang-shaped block of ice that pops out of the ground, damaging and stunning units in an area. The shard takes one second to reach the surface. |n|c00FEBA0ECooldown: 12 seconds. |nEffect increased by level, intelligence and magic balls.
  • => Glacial Armor - From the coldest corners of Oelivert, Galeoth calls upon the ice-cold winds to protect a friendly unit. The target receives 2 bonus armor and melee enemy units that attack it will be slowed. Also, every time an enemy unit attacks the unit, the Glacial Armor responds by sending an ice bolt to the attacker. |n|c00FEBA0ECooldown: 10 seconds. |nEffect increased by level and intelligence.

    => Northrend Winds - Calls forth the northrend winds, bursting in 8 degrees expanding waves of chilling ice that damages and slows nearby enemy units for 8 second. Also heals Galeoth by 25% every two seconds. |n|c00FEBA0ECooldown: 180 seconds. |nEffect increased by level, intelligence and magic balls.

Some new systems will be added to the campaign soon.
  • A camera system that follow selected unit smootly. Very useful in chapter 1, 2, 3 and 4.
  • A new spell system. Current item spells are removed and Hero will have a spell book one of abilities. This will also include digging system and sone other useful spells. This saves some inventory space also.

EDIT: Ok, I made a nice "questionnaire" to ask from you guys about the campaign. What should I improve and what should I "invest". I added to the original boss and this will be also at the epilogue(which is not made yet).

Too easy? - Now there is what need some improvement, Exemple in chapter 6, there is 1 boss per generator, 3 of them were Awfully easy ( even with Fradz in his bugged mode without spell )

Please tell me what is your favorite boss and what is the worst boss? Why? - My Fav boss.. i dont know yet, but my worse is the shadow assassin... So weak compared to all the "mystery" around him in all 6 first chapter. hell i didnt even needed to heal in that duel.

They are just too repetitive, especially in large area where you wander a loong time, after a while you are sick of the same song playing over and over, Maybe add a couple more songe for huge area and make them play randomly after the precedent one is completed.

big issue with that second box. by starting on chapter 4 i had phodom and the first box with everything that was suposed to be in them. the second box however didnt exist. i think its the same issue of if you skip a chapter like the second then fads wont appear in future chapters sinse he was never saved. could you do something about this so i dont have to go from the beginning again? shouldnt be TO hard.

edit: hmm chapter 4 even though frads had his other skills he lost his sword dance.

So everytime I try to complete the murloc quest in chapter one, I start to attack the murlocs and my game freezes. Not sure if its a problem with my computer or the map though.

So problem with Phodom's second box from chapter 1 to 4? It seems like there should not be anything wrong. I checked save/load

You sure? Or are you talking about Flash Strike? Because that can be possible. I had to change whole spell because it was made from same spell as Teleport Strike.

Oh yea, one thing I just remembered is missing. There are no currently saved Galeoth's new spells. I fix this immediatly. Doing next version currently.

By the way everyone, I need all of your help now. Soon I'm going to create a thread where I say that the campaign should be hosted project of the hive. I have been waiting for it over 6 month and moderators have not done anything. This is sad, and now I want to give them more pressure to let the campaign be hosted project. This will also help you, because then I will have many theads to talk about the campaign. So it's not so confusing like it's currently. We only have 1 thead currently, which is bad I think. I will create there:
  • Bug forum - Here you tell bugs.
  • Versions - Here I tell what I haev changed.
  • Credits - Here I tell who have helped me with the campaign, come any time to tell if I have forgotten your name(everyone's name will be there, testers also!)

And Aeroblyctos where is Darksorrow (Angel of evil) in Mystery of Friza? Searched EVERYWHERE without results... :hohum: Oh and I mean after I've summoned him of course ^^.

And one more thing (hopefully), is there now chapter 11 done in The Chosen Ones campaign? :D

It starts after alpha. I currently have 1 month school, so I can't work so much at the campaign, after 1 month, I'm free. No more school, then I have 100% free time unless I find a job.

So perhaps you have to wait 1-2 month still. :(

Btw was there a command which was used to summon boxes near you? I could use that if there was that... I remember that there is, if is what it was?

okay, about that box. i started version 2.3 at chapter 4. i didnt start over so i didnt have the second box. its no big deal. just means i use the -give up command and go from the beginning.

Aeroblyctos I've found a bug that not so many ppl does not see - you see, can the box use item's spell? I gave it an item which has a spell if you click and example select a target, and the box could make that spell too! Usually item storages are not meant to spell or are they? :xxd: :spell_breaker:

Btw bar error! When I write -bar and the status info comes, it says (now for me) 2/4 optional quests done (and of course other info) but when check f9 there is 6 optional quests :s.

Will be fixed soon, I'm just importing/creating new spell book system for the campaign. Spells will not anymore use any items. Also, some other useful abilities such as dig will moved to there.

Aeroblyctos I've found a bug that not so many ppl does not see - you see, can the box use item's spell? I gave it an item which has a spell if you click and example select a target, and the box could make that spell too! Usually item storages are not meant to spell or are they? :xxd: :spell_breaker:

Btw bar error! When I write -bar and the status info comes, it says (now for me) 2/4 optional quests done (and of course other info) but when check f9 there is 6 optional quests :s.

those arent bugs. first off most real spells need mana so the box cant actualy use them but it can use stuff like food so you dont have to haul any around with you. second that optional quest thing isnt wrong there are only 4 optional quests. the other 2 are the epic and elite bosses

About that thing, with boxes using spells, I think it is okay for the boxes to use food and summoning items, and other spells can't be cast because they require mana. But there's a bug too (that I forgot to mention earlier): If a box has a Magic Orb, it will receive +40 mana. Now the box has 0/40 mana and it doesn't regenerate it. This is still good, but if you have that jewel that gives a bonus to mana regeneration (sapphire?), the box will have enough to cast spells.

About that thing, with boxes using spells, I think it is okay for the boxes to use food and summoning items, and other spells can't be cast because they require mana. But there's a bug too (that I forgot to mention earlier): If a box has a Magic Orb, it will receive +40 mana. Now the box has 0/40 mana and it doesn't regenerate it. Hahahahahahaa, HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAA! SOOO funny :D But I notice now that Sword Of Light - I placed it to my box (Phodom's) and I used it's spell on Phodom (healing on ally, dmg to enemy undead) and it worked! WOOHOO! But can the hero himself use it to himself hmm?

If I remember right, player should be able to cast heal to himself/herself.

Btw Aeroblyctos do YOU play Runescape? There's like wilduboar (xD xD) (you know wildu = wilderness, like PvP area in Runescape, rly hope you know) and there is too nunjaboar :s

Btw when does have a critter being a hostile creature? I found an ENEMY critter, it was just normal crap with about 20hp, armor 0, and it was ENEMY!!!! Is that meant to be something special or what? :hohum::cool:

I think the critter is a crab in the second chapter, that I found near the murlocs.
As for the spells being cast by the boxes, for now leave it like this. The worst exploit that could happen is that the boxes cast 1 spell that can't affect a fight that much, can it? And after you've cast it, it takes quite a while for the boxes to recharge their mana. By the way, if in the next version all item spells are removed, into what will they be changed?
I've just started chapter 2 and Fradz can choose Flash Strike and Teleport Strike. Do they work well now or did you forget to remove one of them?

Heroes will have a spell book. Inside a spell book there are 6 more spell book. In these spell books are item abilities that you can find from the campaign. Also here are other abilities like dig and move boxes. You might know what else I should put here to save inventory space?

The spell book thing sounds good. And the spells you find will be like power-ups, right?
But I do have one question: if a hero finds a spell (let's say Phodom finds the spell that is buried in the upper right corner of chapter 1), will the spell be available to the others as well (Fradz and Galeoth)? And if it will be available, will Fradz have it from chapter 2 or chapter 5, when they meet?

Yes, once you find a spell, it will be your forever. Spells will only have 1 level, I will delete most of the current spells because they just suck. Every spell will be like hero spells, so they their damage depends of attributes or magic balls. However, only the hero who pick ups the spell will have it. So you can't have same spell with all your heroes. BUT... but, but but! I may add some spells, that can be bought from shops, and these spells can be have by all heroes for example.

So, now it's my turn to ask! What items should I transform to spell book? Dig and move boxes are the ones I will. What else should I? Perhaps.. summoning? But then... I wonder how should I create that final summon with recipe. :p

EDIT: Ohh, I was making spell list and I found a bug so I want you all to know.Galeoth's spell Glacial Armor won't do damage, currently it only do damage depends of his level (30, 60, 90, 120, 150). It should do "Level X 30 + Number Of Intelligence Points X 1".

Well, if you will do it like this, you should still be able to carry them in your inventory (without any effects and unable to cast them) so you can give them to another hero. This brings me to my next question: Once you find an item (spell item I mean) and add it to a hero's spellbook, can you give it to another later on? For example, the healing spell (Moonlight I think it was called) that you find in chapter 4: let's say it depends on level and intelligence. Someone who is playing this campaign for the first time will probably give it to Phodom. Later on, he discovers he will be playing with Galeoth too. Now the player wishes to give the spell to Galeoth, who has more mana and more intelligence, so he can cast it more often and with greater effect. Will he be able to do that?

Summoning items... I think leave them like they are. This way, you are also able to sell them too.

By the way, I have thought of a idea for some items that I think i would be quite interesting if you would be able to implement it: items that would add an extra point to the current and maxim level of one of the spells from the heroes. Let me explain a little more: there would be 4 items for each hero, 1 item for every spell (excluding ultimates). Each item, when used, would be consumed, would increase the level of a spell by 1 (like I said, both current and maximum). Example: Fradz has the Thunder spell at level 2, out of a maximum 4. If he were to use such an item (made specifically for that spell), the spell would become level 3, out of a maximum 5.

Now I have NO IDEA how to do such a thing. I wrote it here hopping that maybe you (or someone else) would know how to do it. If the spells of the heroes were fixed (no spell select system), maybe a trigger could be made. Something like remove spell and add another in it's place with level = level of current spell +1. Again, I know this is a crazy idea, but I thought it would be best to share it.

Nope. When you pick the spell, it will be instantly your new spell. I didn't made this system, one new friend did this because I requested so. :D

I have been making requests about different systems recently because this campaign starts to be too heavy burden now(this don't mean I'm going to give up, I never give up). There are so much things still to make. It's again one week pause since I last time made chatper 11.

Heheheh... Well, it's a MUST to give that spell to Phodom, because there is no Galeoth at chapter 4. However, spell like this one, I will keep it because I like it. It's pretty simple spell, that is why I will make a magic seller at chapter 7 where you can buy this spell(aahh, there's one already).

Nice idea, actually I had long time ago little same kind of idea. My idea was to be able to "go beyond maximum" so with a special item, spell can be instead of level 5 to become level 6(or even higher). However, I gave up with this idea because some problems.

Yeah, I think too it's crazy idea! But it is a good idea, but when you are the maximum level, it would be stupid to have some some extra skill points avaible but nothing to use. :p

Finally, there is a possibility to make hero spells from level 5 to level 10. But hmm... then I should change the skip levels. Let's see... Currently Level Skip Requirement for normally hero spells is 6.
So, 1, 7, 13, 19, 25... so in level 25 you can master first spell, right? If I put 10 spells, it allows you to master the spell in level 50... hmm! Not bad, huh? But it would need some work once again to put all spells like this, and then people just put to one skill and it would be stupid.

I want player to use all spells! That is why I made that spell system. But... I could do ultimate spell to have 10 levels and then go like your system. Currently you can have your ultimate spell 10, 20, 30, 40, 50. So there would be a possibilty to increase your ultimate spell perhaps few levels, not much. What do you think?

EDIT: I'm currently making spell damage list and I found another spell damage bug. First one was Glacial Aura and the second one is Flash Strike. Flash Strike won't do the damage it should. I'm now thinking to create a new version because these too spell bugs but I finish the damage system now.

I think it would be good for normal spells to have 10 levels, but ultimates, I think 5 levels is enough. My idea was that the hero could use these items at any time, not when a spell has reached maximum. They could be used even if the hero has put no points in a spell, giving him the first level of it.

Oh, how about this? A hero would normally have 4 spells with 10 levels each, an an ultimate with 5 levels. But even at the maximum level of the hero, therewould not be enough skill points to have all these spells at max level. And there would be these items (I was thinking as rewards from elite and epic fights) that when used, would give extra skill points.

And by the way, using the example earlier with Phodom and Moonlight: You should make the system so that when you pick up Moonlight, it is not automatically added to Phodom's spellbook. Instead, make it like this: first Phodom picks up an item called Moolight that does nothing if kept in the inventory. But if you left-click on it, the item dissapears from the inventory and the spell itself is added the spellbook. The advantage of this is that Phodom could use the item right after he picks it up and then use the spell from that moment on, or he could keep the item, so another hero can use it and add the spell to his spellbook. Do you understand what I want to say?

For the spell.. if you use a book, you waste 1 inventory slot. Why not make a menu to the right ( like in campaign when you have an ally with ressource ) except this menu will store the spell of the current(s) hero(s) selected and bring those spell up and in a click in that menu you can cast them ?..

Of course only Hero that learn a spell will be able to cast that spell.

Exemple Phodon get spell X and Fradz spell Y. If you select only phodon you will see only the spell X in the menu, But if you select BOTH hero, you will see BOTH spell. And in that case if Fradz have no mana and you click the Y spell, the spell will not cast since it is Fradz one.

am i making any sense here ?

I may have a map (rpg) to show what i am talking about, because someone make a FULL D&D dongeon system based on that menu system, Including, special attack, spell, defense, equipement, etc.etc.etc.

Why just not remake box's inventory ability to unit ability with 6 slots? Unit inventory is unable to use items
