Story
Background Story
Twelve peaceful years have passed since The Great War ended. The war that lasted centuries but no man could recall the reason of. The age of despair, bloodshed, loss and grief is now past. The new age brought the opportunity for human kingdoms to rise, as humanity has broken free from the grip of the dragons.

This story focuses on Kingdom of Balgaron and three famous Dragon Slayers: Phodom, Fradz and Galeoth. Each of them starts their journey in different places, but they will eventually meet eachother and join forces along the path. Together, the three are forced to go a conflict beyond their imaginations.

Lead them into an epic world, guided by a strong storyline that covers hate, love, war and peace.

The honored Dragon Slayer Phodom gave up his life as a warrior and began a new life with his wife and his children, far away from the capital of Balgaron in the small town called Dalli. All his plans were going smooth and easy until someone steps into his life and changes everything...Fradz is a young energetic Dragon Slayer known for his short temper and bad manners. This silly thief is a very powerful warrior and it is said that he even killed powerful dragons single-handedly. After the war, Fradz went on many journeys, but one day a mysterious voice told him to travel to the famous Dragon Inn to meet someone who was once very close to him. Fradz accepts this new journey, as he knows that he cannot decline it...Galeoth, the son of a legendary Dragon Slayer lived up to his father's name and became one of the leaders of Balgaron. After the war, Galeoth still believed that the war was not yet over. His obsession to find dragons led him towards the Icy Mountains where he is about to uncover a horrible secret that will change the fate of mankind...

All abilities remade and new abilities: Battle Banner, Fiery Ball, Fire Power, Ultimate Sacrifice, Counter Attack, Energy Shield, High Strike, Crystal Plane, Galeoth's Order, Illusion Army, Magic Convert and Magical Fog.
'Critical Chance' attribute added! It starts from 5% and it can be increased various ways.
Now also Strenght increases Critical Damage just like Agility.
Chapter 5 Pumpking Quest's second cinematic updated.
Chapter 7 Epic Boss removed the terrain deforming to decrease lag.

Vacuum's area of effect reduced. You cannot grab items from far away anymore.
Background stories and so-called "Books" are completely added to all chapters in this version.
Every single Spell Book spell has been added to the campaign!
Many new items and item changes. For example, superior items, which costs a huge amount of gold, are added to middle chapters; however, they're worth it!
Improved the multiboard a lot. Now it is more informative and better organized.
Combat kings once again rebalanced and changed. The major thing is that now they all cost 2 Honor Points.
Espers improved and made even stronger. Please come and tell me what you think about the Espers now. I've seen that players don't use them and I really want to make them useful.
Many changes to the starting packs! Now they should be balanced, every single one of them!
Stealing improved; now it shows the percentages.
Easter Eggs added; currently just 2 but there will be a total of 12 Easter Eggs. Check them all out!

Now each STR gives 20 health instead of 25.
Now each INT gives 10 mana instead of 15.

Chapter 7 is now opened.
Boss points are now removed from the game. You can still change your Boss points to Honor points by writing this code: "-change".
Remade all item, ability, spell, esper and all other descriptions: they are now shorter and easier to read.
There is only fire, ice, and lightning spells now.
Improved multiboard by a lot, added some new stats to it also.
Added new combat kings and new spells. Combat Kings now only go up to level 5.
Added some more tactical meaning to the battle: some abilities can do or use buffs called Brittle, Stagger, and Bleed. For example some other abilities can use these buffs to deal increased damage.
Now Special abilities will increase by every level instead of every fifth level.
All professionals are now universal.
The Critical Damage bonus starts from 100% instead of 0%. The chance to do a Critical Hit is still 10%.
Once again, more items.
New Spell System: Instead of spell books you can easily use spells from left corner just like potions.
The file size is now bigger because I imported some resources to the campaign. The expected file size in the end will be about 120mb to 140mb. I hope the file size won't be a problem.
New balanced attack and armor types: Sharp, Blunt, Magic, Light, Medium, Heavy, Sturdy and Elemental.
Now some enemies are categorized as Summoned, Undead, Drgon and Monster. Some items and abilities can do extra effects to them.
Now enemies won't do their abilities while stunned.
The campaign is now optimized and protected. All thanks to Shadow Daemon for creating the awesome "campaign optimizator" program".
Fixed some bugs.

Added Game Panel where you can for example eat food, move your boxes and cast espers.
And many, many other changes. Once again so many changes I simply cannot remember everything.

Six new Galeoth abilities: Chill of the Frost Master, Frozen Storm, Icy Barrage, Inner Light, Mesmerizing Ice Crystal and Piercing Shard.

Now quests will give experience like before.
Fixed chapter 5 ending.

I did not have one of Galeoths boxes (Top left) in Act 6, I still played through the act.
All boxes was present in Act 7.

Nothing more to report.

Phodom lost phoenix combo in act 7.
Galeoth lost his "illusion ulti" in act 7.
All spells belonging to Fradz and Galeoth in Spell book (F2) were lost in act 8.

All of these persisted into act 9.

Fradz' Illusionary Double does not work at all.

The two items(i believe it was the weapon parts of the damanthe's set) has the description "deals extra damage to units with stagger/bleed". I don't know if the whole stagger/bleed thing is still possible but you should check into that as I don't know of any method to inflict those statuses.

WHat version you were playing? Did you change versions between different chapters? If so, how?

1.Ch.9 ending is not loading from the end - as far as I remember such function would be available only after Ch.10 ending only, which is in progress now.
2. Omega items (bracelet, orb, gloves etc) were placed in the campaign as a part of ultimate weapon set, but it wasn't finished also. And so bracelets has no effect currently.

So it is my turn to ask questions (if I answered correctly):
1. I'm currently on Ch.7 in version 1.9l - will Yurgrimar upgrade Ogozoma in ch.9 to Super Ogozoma or it was canceled? As far as I remember it was a pretty powerful item, I was planning to use it in Ch.10:ogre_datass:
2. Maybe enable some hero's sets available earlier in the game? Galeoth's is available in the very end of Ch.8, but Fradz's and Phodom's in the end of Ch.9 - so only to be used in Ch.10. Sad:goblin_cry:
3. Aero, you were thinking about starting packs for new players - I suggest to replace Child's play (easiest difficulty with cheats enabled) to the same difficulty, but without cheats and with Phodom's, Galeoth's and Fradz's sets available from the start - it will make the campaign much easier to finish. But the risk is that it will become less interesting (because part of the sets are obtainable in most complicated quests).

I think the item should be automatically upgraded to "super" when you've defeated the epic boss. I will however check it out.

I'm not sure what you're talking about but Child Play is just as easy as Easy difficulty. In both difficulties enemies are same strenght, but in Easy you can't simply use Blizzard cheats.

Oh yea!

You should really use an HD version of the map for the loading screen. A lot of the text is hard to read. Maybe not right now but you should fix it before the final version is released.

The map was drawn 6 years ago by my sister. We don't anymore have the original version. However, I have been requesting someone to draw a map quite long time.

I'm not a drawer so I'm in the mercy of other people.

In regard to spells from the spellbook disappearing:

The quest u get in chapter 8 from the middle of the map, where phodom have to solo fight a boss. It seems like after u complete this, all other spells that's not phodoms, will be gone.

I just did a playthrough from chapter 1 to chapter 9 on version 1.9l (extreme difficulty if it matters). I did all that was available in chapter 8, except for the quest mentioned above. I then progressed to chapter 9, all seemed normal. I then loaded back into chapter 8, and completed the quest. Spells were gone, and i progressed to chapter 9. They were still missing. So i have opted to skip that quest in my further progress of this playthrough.

To me it seems that the spells are lost after u get "solo control" over Phodom, and when you regain the control over Fradz and Galeoth, there is something that is not "reloading" their spells.

Can someone else than me confirm with same result?

Really? Still? I think I've tried to fix that bug like thousand times.

Each character's solo battle in chapter 8 others' spells are removed an put back. So when Fradz and Galeoth do their own personal battles, spells are not removed? Just Phodom's bug?

My mistake, my understanding of your "starting pack" idea for new players was incorrect. I thought you were planning to create some starting pack (consists of items) in order to let new players finish the campaign easily. And now I see what you really ment:vw_death::vw_death::vw_death:

Just Phodom. I did the other 2 solo battles and have no problems.

Definitely. Still thinking about the special ability for Omega Bracelent and Omega Armor. Otherwise the set is commpleted.

Just Phodom. I did the other 2 solo battles and have no problems.

Okay after 538057353807th I'm going to check it, test it and fix it.

1) I second this, this bug exist and it happens only if Phodom has a solo fight with the boss.
Additionally,
2) In chapter 8 the ice golem quest also does not work. I tried them killing together/separately, eventually they don't re spawn but the quest never ends.
I am currently at chapter 5 on the 1.9l. Below I have mentioned some minor issues.

Chapter 1 => With all quest completed (except elite and epic), Phodom strength is still less than 2 dig points. The path of power requires 2 dig points, so i need to buy something from the shop to complete all the digs.
Chapter 1 => The epic boss, keeps using special powers without any delay, even when phodom uses the rift ability, also while the mage cast powers he is invulnerable, I suggest either to introduce some delay between his spells or make him vulnerable while casting spells.
Chapter 5 => In the summary screen the number of mini boss is actually more than what is mentioned.
Chapter 5 => The greater magic ball quest cost a lot with no real benefit, it could be nice if we get a greater magic ball as a quest item or from a dig site. Also a zozi in Chapter 5 will be very nice addition .

But anyway... I believe it works. Someone talked somewhere in the official site that it works... I tried to search for it but didn't find it.

It's something like they must not move... And must be killed at the same time or something.

We get a zozi in ch 6, its in a dig site in a room full of junk in the south.
Ice Golem =>
I played atleast 4 times with 1.9j and could not complete the ice golem puzzle,the forum suggests to kill them and not to move out of that place untill all others are dead else they respawn. So the best way to do it is to bring them together and kill them. I tried this but it does not work. Even otherwise they do not respawn, and the quest never completes.

The puzzle is a bit...wonky, but it does work. I can confirm that i have done it on the last 2 playthroughs. I did it by pulling 2 and 3 together and standing on the spot where they died with a hero. It's worth mentioning that I had to kill the groups a couple of times each to get it completed.

It does not feel consistent.

Can you please fix that bug where Phodom's flag he sets down affects enemies as well as you? I really want to try that ability but the fire aura is just a million times better =(

Hi, once again I'm playing this awesome campain.

First of all. It's still getting better and better every time i'am playing it, so excellent job man.

Playing ver 1.9l i have encountered some bugs.

Ch 1 -> it's impossible to get path of power.
Ch 2 -> Magic attack of elite boss with diagonaly moving tunders are sometimes invisible. For me solution was turning off the game and loading it once again from a previous save (before obelisk puzzle).
Electrical empowerment doesn't give any speed bonus + it's still on lvl 1 giving the same dmg bonus after upgading and rising only the mana cost.
Ch 3 (and further) -> Field of vision of Galeoth is very small (like 2 cm on screen), doing a blue and yellow labirynt was nightmare.
Ch 6 (Don't know is it really a bug, after set Galeoth free, all quest, and scripts starting a mini bosses stop working), you can only kill what is standing and do final quest + one box of Galeoth is missing
Ch 7 (and further) Phodrom battle baner spell is missing, Excalibur is imposible to get (Elemental stone (1/2 things to set) is part of sword crafting).
Ch 8 (Don't know once again is it a bug. 3 Zyl Orb + 7 Magic Orb gives Ultimate Orb 10/10) + Missing spells after Phodrom solo boss fight. Healer Boss after turning into infernal disappear still is attacking, but you can't see him.

Ch 1 -> it's impossible to get path of power.
What's that?

Ch 3 (and further) -> Field of vision of Galeoth is very small (like 2 cm on screen), doing a blue and yellow labirynt was nightmare.
Does this happen to everyone?

Ch 6 (Don't know is it really a bug, after set Galeoth free, all quest, and scripts starting a mini bosses stop working), you can only kill what is standing and do final quest + one box of Galeoth is missing
Sounds really weird.

Hey I haven't really followed these forums lately but I was thinking of starting the campaign again, and I wanted to know (since I'm too lazy to read the new pages of comments I'm just gonna ask here) the answer to this question.

Hello, I'm new and firstly I gotta say I really like this campaign.
Now the reason I registered on this site was to ask if it is even possible to beat Yurgimar on Hardcore when he takes you to his dimension. I mean he hits for around 5k and when he crits he does 15k, his spells deal a lot more and the fact he can't lose hp without finding a way to burn his mana (which is impossible because the only way I burn mana is with the passive from combat king and that barely does something) makes it impossible to kill him. The only problem I'm not having is dealing damage since Fradz can take down 1 million in under 30 secs.

Oh I forgat to ask, what does Yurgimar even give as a reward (to know what I'm missing).

And if these were fixed

4th: This one is pretty minor but the "Huge power boost" that gives 3 dig power requires 200 str rather than the 150 it has on its tooltip.

I saw few more minor bugs but I forgat them.

One last thing, a suggestion actually. On the tooltips for the spells you may also write down the damage formula rather than just "Damage is based on ...". This can help people pick their spells better in the start and what to lvl up. I don't know anything about map making but I don't think that is too much to ask.

I'm sorry if this has already been answered.

You can get path of power if you buy a strength item from the shop in chapter 1 otherwise impossible. It was possible to get this in earlier game versions. The same is true for greedy armor in chapter 2, with farz healing ability at lvl 2 it was possible to get greedy armor first, but in the current version it is not.

Because I've been away one year, I have not read many comments. I just created a thread to the official site asking about the fight. I never really got much of feedback.

The regenetion is a pain in the ass but it is must; it's one theme of the fight. Yurgimar is that type of dragon who has immense regeneration.

There's a slight problem however; the boss has two type of regenerations and I would like to have only one. It can confuse the player. First phase regeneration is simply 0,05% health per second or something. Second phase regeneration depends how much mana Yurgimar has. I like the second phase mana regeneration, the problem is how to destroy it as you have mentioned.

So, I will move the second phase regeneration to chapter 10 Epic Boss. Then both stages will have the same type of regeneration(first phase regeneration. There will be more ways to remove mana in the future.

2nd: On chapter 8 I lost an hour while exploring the map 5 times because my digspots were only 8/10. I've heard about this before. I guess the two coded gets mixed up. Not fixed yet.

One last thing, a suggestion actually. On the tooltips for the spells you may also write down the damage formula rather than just "Damage is based on ...". This can help people pick their spells better in the start and what to lvl up. I don't know anything about map making but I don't think that is too much to ask.

It was before and it was too confusing. I mean it's really confusing and ugly. There will be "Strategy Packs" which will make the prologue easier in the future.
He means the item that doubles your str. and can be combined with the other 2 paths.

How to get Excalibur

Can someone explain to me why you can't have Excalibur?

Excalibur its already available, one part is with elemental stones (3 elemental orbs ch. 6), ancient sword (black merchandise ch. 6), sapphire and recipe (just get what recipe describe). All this its Excalibur: 1/2. To get the other part, just buy "soul orb" in chapter 3 or action hall ch. 7 (Excalibur: 2/2). The problem with that item its that the description of parts in the TCO item List doesnt fit. Ohhh man that item with Galeoth's set its wonderful, it gives almost 2000 basic damage!!! (more mana --> more damage)

I already finish the 1.9L version, Gaomdo's bug at ch. 8 its already present. The only thing to avoid that quest its use spher (Faerga for example) and pass to the other side (use it like a ship), then use teleports in order to never face the dragon Zylcious (the black panda at the middle of map) and dont lose your spell books, that quest doesnt give anything interesting, so save your spell book to the rest of campaign.

Im happy cause combat king's bug seems fix it (it looks like doesnt disappear through the game, like previous versions). Thats mean that the honor point system will give you something good through the campaign.

There is a few bugs with the spells that already persist... something of them disappear in ch. 7. In my particular game, the phodom's combat flag and phoenix combo are gone... Phoenix combo will appear at ch. 9, but you have to spend your futures ability points another time in that spell.

This is my first post and I have to say that you're doing a great job Aero, wonderful develop of a history, so entertainment, funny and enjoyable.

Just at chapter 4, but some notes
-Shadow Golem was easy O_O - I wasnt paying attention for a few seconds and i found it with only 2000 life....(easy) Then just did all ablities and intstantly died. Didnt drop below 80% in that bossfight, the demon murloc was harder than that.
-2nd Chapter is rather... confusing wiith the mountains and all but doesnt matter anyways, idk why but in every chapter (1,2,3) I just cant find all the optional quests.... 2 remain always (1 in chp 3, also it didnt say anyting after i killed the boss that held the map end,same chapter)
-3rd Chapter- So i went every single way and nothing. The whole left side couldnt be accesed... I assume it was me being dumb but I killed everything in the right part excepting the ghosts who were a pleasure to farm for more magic damage. Also the ghost shop was broken, it didnt do anything
4th chapter- After doing some quests i went to the inn and the inkeeper told me that the bridge is broken. I didnt see it originally and when i went there the guard was like -Its tottaly broken man, nothing I can say dunno when its gonna get fixed- and a second after the dialog the bridge was fixed... Suggestion- Make the bridge event always happen before you can freely roam the town.
Well all i can say for now (doing chp 4), but those dont matter too much. Sooo 5/5!

P.S: I played TCO 3 years ago, start from give up 4 times, get all set items each chapters but never from end game. I want to end this map once time. TCO is really awesome :).

Okay thanks for the information problem fixed.

Just at chapter 4, but some notes

We have to remember half of the campaign was done 6 years ago when I wasn't that good map maker... Also some things are horrible planned but it's now pointless to remake(in other words the "quality" can change hugely during playing the campaign). I just want to finish this project.

About the strategy pack, I kinda don't like being stuck with a fixed set of abilities and starting items. Could you maybe have an option to pick between choosing a strategy pack and choosing the abilities and items manually?

Yes, yes, of course. The idea is simply to make things easier. You can select your setting the normal way too(like now).


Version 1.9l to 1.9m - Another minor version to fix bugs all around the campaign

- Fixed save/load Illusion Army, Fire Power and Battle Banner between chapter 6-7
- Omega Helmet stats and name changed to and it's no longer part of the Omega Set
- Now you shouldn't be able to change the gamespeed which has caused multiple problems around the campaign
- Fixed Battle Banner, Electrical Empowerment, Illusory Double and High Strike
- Fixed many other bugs I forgot to write down

I can still create a few minor version to fix bugs but chapter 10 needs still a lot of time. I mean I've been doing some random things lately, like epilogue and epic boss of chapter 10. Those two things won't come to the next major version. The next major version will only bring chapter 10 with the elite boss and two optional quests. The chapter itself is pretty small; something like chapter 3. The ending of the campaign is pretty much "boss run".

It's just more motivating to do things in random order, whenever and however I want or otherwise it starts to feel like a job. For example today morning I used creating one awesome super effect spam in epilogue.
