Actually people already started, and some seem to have sweated blood to put up with the skin, but did it successfully. Nevertheless it would be great if they said it's ok and agreed to adapt their skins to a better wrapping.

Also, remember that there may be some users who already started but didn't show any progress here.

Maybe there should be another model available with a better wrap. The ones who want to keep with their old one, may do so. How about it?

Just deal with it.
Ok, the wrap might be horrible, but now is good chance to prove your skills. It might take a lot of work to get good results with the wrap, but it's not impossible.

If the wrap is good, the contest output will be better.
Even Dio said the wrap is really bad. I'm asking the contestants if they are agree, just that.

With every model I've skinned I've always had to re-do the face about 10 times. Just because it doesn't work out the first time doesn't mean the wrap is awful. If you want a line to be straight curve it on the unwrap so it ends up straight. Skinning faces is just problematic and difficult in general. This model has plenty of alpha channel options as well, so you won't be as limited as with other skins, and from what I can tell with the wrap so far it is more forgiving than most. If you want to complain about bad wraps try skinning the nether dragon. Now that has an effed up wrap.

Yes, but seeing how it's a custom model, I could've really tried to make the job easier for skinners... But I just fail at unwrapping, it seems.

The thing is that I've been 2 days trying to fix the NOSE of my skin, since it stretches upwards... I just thought that a model made specially for a skinning competition could have a nice wrapping so the entries could be better.
The model itself is totally flexible and cool. I'm totally agree with that.
Also, I don't know if it'd be good to 'unscrew' the face, since it would mess up with the other entries...

Btw, Dio, you need to update it anyways, cause the hole in the back which I told you before the contest began is still there... :/

Competitions are meant to be challenging anyways, otherwise what's the point? In my mind, it shouldn't just be a "luk guis Ihm koolar dan awl ofh yuu, I kans maek pefrekt sken", it should be something that you can learn from.

I vote keep this wrap. It's not so bad anyways.

The wrap is hard, but not impossible. Easier than the Kobold's portrait, the Demon Hunter's face, the Morphed Demon Hunter, Sylvanas' face...
