Arcisal, who was still there, was amazed. A jungle! How could we have missed that. Unfortunately, while the group escaped through the tunnel, Arcisalw as still gaping at the sheer power of the blaze. By the time he returned to his senses, the inferno has already caused minor burns.

"Supposing elements fight elements..." said Arcisal.

Arcisal once again turned inward, to that force which he could bend, control and ask. This time, the air around them was getting more humid and a thin vapor could be seen in the air. Arcisal tried to focus even more, this time to channel with his hands. Upon his hands, tiny beads of what looked like sweat but wasn't were present.

OOC: Trying to beat down the fire with water. Btw, what elements can I control?

OOC: You can only controll one of the four basic elements. You have to choose when you pick the channelling feat.
THought ya had picked fire, and now you're somewhat locked with that decision. :/
You can though still controll water through a normal spellcheck, but it will be harder. I'l roll it for you.

IC: As part of the group slipped back into the tunnel Arcisal tried to tap into the elemental force of water to put out the fire.
DM: Spell Check (DifLevel 3): Roll (1d6 +6 from Will and +2 from Inspiring Pressence (Ekrion)): 2 (10). Failure!
But the air is too warm, and the energies he taps into fizzles in his hands.
The fire starts burns even more, and several of the nearby trees were now fully ablaze.

Ekrion commanded his golem to run back into the tunnel and waited for Arcisal "Arcisal! get over here, right now!" he yelled.

Meyla gaped, wide eyed at the approaching inferno. It swept through the jungle like a scythe through wheat, greedily harvesting the fuel that drove it. Tearing her gaze away she spun round, taking wing and soaring towards the tunnel with great haste. There seemed to be no logical way to stop it. Water? Tried. Remove the oxygen? Paramount to suicide. She landed abruptly, skidding to halt beside the others and turned to the tunnel exit. She'd never realised how much damage a stray spark could do. But then she'd never thought the entity... She shuddered. Could entity magic save them now? She was far from in tune with it and had absolutely no desire to be so... Did she? No, that was a lie. She did feel an attraction, a certain elation. The energy she had absorbed from the Golem had truly made her feel alive, rejuvenated and so... strong! Mind made up, she smiled slightly. Trying to reassure herself. She drew her newly acquired sword, the purple hue might merely be a coincidence but it couldn't hurt to try using it as a catalyst for whatever havoc she now sought to wreak. She knew full well the consequences of her using such magic and knew in her current state it would probably kill her, or all of them ahould she fail but looking at the advancing blaze she decided the story would be similar either way and closed her eyes holding the sword across two outstretched and upbourne palms, her head bowed. "Ashen if you can hear me... Help me. Please... Help us all."

OOC: Attempting to cast Entity magic, something along the lines of an enveloping veil to consume the fire's energy, or a shield to absorb it. I know she's not got a feat/power etc so it'll be a really hard most likely painful roll but what can you do eh? :p

Btw #1000th post anniversary event ftw?

The fires grew bigger. Some of the trees started falling.
Most of the group ran back towards the tunnel, trying to escape the inferno.
Amidst it all stood Meyla, with her sword lying on her palms.
She stood there, waiting. And it came.
A faint voice inside her head.
Meyla... Your sword...
Dont become like me... Survive...
STRIKE.

It was him. The voice was the same.
She knew what to do. With her right hand she took the sword's handle, readying herself.
That which is wrong, might have been right a moment ago...
She felt his pressence in her mind. Enormous amounts of power flowing through her.
That which has happened will forever be etched into our world.
It can never be undone...

She set off from the ground, jumped into the air, raised her sword above her head.
But there are holes in every rule, even in creation itself...
She dived down towards the inferno.
And if we go through them, we can correct everything.
She swung Soulflame, and she felt all the power that wasnt hers surge out.
She cut into the air, into the empty space that lay behind it...
She corrected.

Meyla.png

In the blink of an eye, the fire disappeared.
Everything was the way Illios had first seen it. The trees stood tall, the ground was unscorched.
Where the bush had been the brick road now continued into the depths of the jungle.
Birds sung.

Then Meyla hit the ground.
She crashed into the earth, completely out of energy.
There she lay still, breathing slowly. Soulflame grabbed tightly.
Unconscious, she smiled.

OOC:I was so hoping you would be like "And nothing happened".

Sameal quickly went over to make sure there was no serious wounds to Meyla from her awe inspiring act.

Illios made a quick stop, turned around and ran towards her. When he arrived, he looked at her with a surprised looked, while Samael checked her for wounds. He had to admit -- his nemesis had impressed him a lot. He then leaned forward and examined Soulflame with a frown, amazed yet wondering how much power it contained. He could only guess and he did so whilst staring at the serpentine runes on the blade.
''Excuse me, I think I'm going to take a closer look at this sword.'' he said. Not that he cared for his opinion. Then, Illios tried to pry the sword out of her hand.

Ekrion turned around, amazed of what had just happened. He then saw how intruiged Illios by the blade and stepped over to him drawing his sword. "you won't touch it with even one finger." He said while putting his blade against Illios' neck. "you would have to fight me first." his face was dead serious, a weapon like that was a part of the persons soul, it should not be touched by others unless the owner allowed it so. "Now step away."

''Oh, that's giving me a fair chance to defend myself, isn't it? Very noble of you.'' he said with venom in his voice, answering to the blade in his neck. What was the man up to? Why did he threaten with a fight just so Illios couldn't touch the blade, swing it around, see what it was like? Perhaps he was a little bit crazy in that head.
He then stopped his activity and raised his hands, stepping forward, away from the blade.
''Why so serious?'' Illios then asked Ekrion with a mocking grin. However, he looked sharply at him and the discontent could be read in his eyes.

"If you had refused to step back i would have challenged you to a duel, not stab you in the back." He said obviously upset by Illios' mocking tone. "That blade his hers, it is shaped by her soul, it is a part of her. that is why I cannot allow you to touch it, unless she says otherwise."

"I do not know, and I do not wish to find out." he said while sheathing his sword again. "we should rest while she recovers." he eventually concluded.

Samael found that Meyla had no wounds.
She was quite unconscious though, and surprisingly cold. There was no doubt about her being alive, on the other hand, as she was breathing heavily.

Edit:
Bytheway guys, this thing with drawing characters as silhouettes is something new i'm trying.
It allows me to create artwork for your characters and ingame events without using too much time, and it still allows you to have your own ideas of how exactly your characters look.
I am hoping to draw easily recognizable silhouettes for all active characters, using mainly black and light effects. I've experimented abit and so far it's worked out great.
I'l post updates on character silhouettes in the construction thread, where you can tell me if you find something wrong with the silhouettes i've done, and if your character looks like you imagine him/her.
And although when i do artwork i will not use the exact base silhouette i'l post in the construction thread, those silhouettes will be my guidelines.
And yes, i will update character silhouettes with new gear.

IC: Arcisal saw that the last of the embers had died out. Lucky thing too. If this had gone out of control, it might have been the last of our journeys.

Seeing Meyla unconscious, Arcisal walked to her position, to check for any wounds, to restore any energy whatsoever.

OOC: This is a jungle right? Can I find any herbs to use?

@Arcisal
DM: Creation: Remedy (DifLevel 4): Roll (1d6 +6 from Cunning, +5 from First Aid, +5 from Herbal Knowledge, +4 from Available Herbs (Jungle), +4 from Wastelander and +2 from Inspiring Pressence (Ekrion)): 4 (30). Critical Success!
Rolling Crit Chart: 6. Überpwn! Special Success: INVENTION!

Arcisal starts searching the nearby jungle, gathering herbs and finding a great amount of rare herbs on the way.
He creates a simple fire and mixes the herbs in a small clay pot which he fetches from his herb bag.
Soon the mixture turns into a bubbling green liquid, just as it's supposed to according to the recepie.
As a stroke of genious, though, Arcisal decides to add one of the more rare herbs he'd found: Silent Tear, known for it's immense magical potential.
Once added to the brew the liquid stops bubbling, turns into a bright shade of teal.
It soon starts emanating light, and a peaceful humming sound fills the area around the cauldrong.
The sound has a soothing effect, and when the brew has cooled down a little Arcisal takes a small taste of it.
The others see his eyes lighting up bright teal for a second, and Arcisal feels incredibly renewed.
He stores the rest of the herbs away (which is quite an amount) and puts the brew in a glass bottle.
He walks over to Meyla and pours a small bit of it in between her lips.
Behind her closed eyelids the group can see the same bright teal flash as with Arcisal, and she opens them shortly after, looking quite confused and VERY awake.
DM: Meyla is now conscious.
Arcisal now has Herbal Knowledge Rank 2.
Arcisal now know's the 'Tear of the Storm' Recepie, which when crafted and consumed will revive any unconscious being and replenish magical energy.
Arcisal received a Pouch of Rare Herbs which grants a +5 to Herbal Lore checks.

Meyla's brow crinkled and her eyelids fluttered open. A mask of bewilderment held her face in an awkward fashion. She blinked several times and turned her head from side to side slowly taking in the surrounding company. Eventually she focussed and looked up at the elf kneeling before her. "...Arcisal?". Her words were strong and carried no sense of urgency, although she did seem a little lost. She looked around again, her pale lips forming a small smile. "We survived then?".

"Yes. I suppose we have." Arcisal said slowly. He had never given thought about it. What if the faerie hadn't put out the fire? Surely it would be or last. Arcisal looked down at Meyla who was still on the ground. Standing up, he let out a helping arm for her.

"We should move on." said Arcisal

''Ah, princess, have you finally awoken from your beauty sleep? Not that it improved anything ..'' he asked her with a wide smile on his face. He then nodded to Arcisal and waited for Meyla to get up before leaving. He was a bit impatient, for they had been here pretty long, but waited.

At the same time Sunrah's voice slowly tuned into the minds of the group members.
Daegor couldnt hear it, but Arcisal felt it's psychic pressence.
"Um, hi. I'm sorry for not checking in with you all but... I've been busy. That place you're in, Scribe's Haven, i'm going to need to ask you alot of questions about it.
I suppose you dont have time now, but... Well, i've found out some interesting things.
And sorry for poking into your minds for some information on recent events. There has been some immense releaes of energy so the gates to your subconscious have been left standing open wide.
And there are two new people with you too. I'm going to need and talk to them too at some point and...
Um, sorry. I just wanted to ask how everything is going. The parts that i dont already know, i mean. What happened after that big energy-release thing that just happened.

Meyla shrugged off Sunrah's voice, her mind still trying to piece itself back together.
She took Arcisal's hand gratefully and thanked him as she found her feet and turned to Illios. She smiled warmly, blinking repeatedly in a playful fashion. "Well someone's manners have improved, I could get used to that".

"We will explain once we get back, sunrah. we're in an underground jungle and meyla just saved us from burning to death. That is all we can say for now." He answered to sunrah. "we should keep moving, I don't like this jungle one bit." he said. He then gave Meyla a last glance. she would manage, he thought. He then turned around and moved deeper into the Jungle.

Daegor followed the group, the fairy's sword was now stuck in his head. He couldn't really tell what but something felt wrong about it.

Meyla reached for her own sword, hesitating as she gripped it. It felt sickeningly familiar although she'd had it but a few hours, it felt like she'd wielded it for millennia. She shrugged off the feeling and drew the blade, testing it's weight, balance perfect and nodded to Ekrion in turn.

"We do not hesitate, we are cautious, those are two different things." Ekrion said with a sharp voice. "show yourself." he eventually added. was this the wolf spirit, had they finally found him?

A hoarse laugh echoed through the jungle.
Cautious? Were you cautious when you plunged headfirst into the chamber of the maelstrom? Were you cautious when you lit something you couldnt see on fire? Were you cautious when you charged the protectors of this temple? Were you cautious when you called upon electricity while emerged in water? Were you cautious when you placed your hand in the temple's lock?
No, you are not cautious. If anything, you are afraid. You are nothing but intruders in the domain of the beast.

Ekrion smiled "Curiosity and stupidity, not necessarily fear, I will not deny it however." He looked around trying to find whatever was talking. "Fear is a part of being alive."

After looking around a bit more he tapped into the power that he had recently gained, and trough it tried to feel the things around him, the plants, perhaps animals, and most importantly... the thing that was talking to them.

"Be silent" Ekrion snapped "Let me concentrate." He reached deeper into the well of power he recently gained and touched around with it, trying to feel his surroundings. He would not be taken by surprise, not again.

OOC:
Sunrah is the group's 'Coordinator', a member of Loras Mthorna.
You can read up on him in the early pages of this thread.

IC:
@Ekrion
DM: Endurance Check (Lifebrand, DifLevel 3): Roll (1d6 +3 from Endurance): 6 (9).
Rolling Extra Dice: 5 (14). Success!

Slowly, the light from Ekrion's glowing markings intensified.
He closed his eyes, and a silent whisper in an old language was heard on the underground wind.
He grew. Not in size, but in essence.
He felt his spirit set roots into the ground, and spread out through every plant and animal around him.
Some were scared of him, some were curious, but they all relaxed as his spirit moved through them.
Soon he was one with the jungle, the lifespark of every animal, tree and flower united with his.
It was an amazing feeling, and he had to use all of his willpower to not sink too deep into it.
He saw it, too. The wolf. And it saw him.
It was Very, Very close. He saw it, he saw the shattered purity it's spirit had once possessed.
It laughed, and lunged at him. He felt a searing pain, and his spirit was drawn back to his body with a blurring speed.
And then he was Ekrion again. He knew the wolf was right above them.

He looked around confused and looked up, seeing the wolf. He quickly thought of something and attempted something he hadn't done in a long time -- he tried to cast a spell at the wolf. A frost spell, to be more precise. Illios knew this was very risky but well.. he wanted to try it out again.
