As Sunrah's words crept through Meyla's skull they became incoherent, distant. She found her eyelids closing, her mind shutting down. So tired, so cold.
Her fingers twitched slightly, a last desperate attempt to reach out for help.
But despite her best efforts her lips remained sealed and in due course she found her eyes joining them.

Leo managed to get his wings into position to swim, and swiftly got to Ekiron's position on the platforms.

Meanwhile Samael grabbed Meyla and started pulling her upwards, fighting against the streams of the Maelstrom.
They moved slowly, but they moved upwards.

DM: The group's previous location now completely flooded.

Marais attempted to use the power of the winds to raise him and any of the others stuck in the swirling pool onto the platforms.

OOC: Elemental Channelling activated. Don't think I ever really disabled it, really.

He was swimming with the group upwards.. at first he had been calm but slowly panic had taken him over -- illustrated by his silence. He hadn't been planning to show any sign of it, and silence, well, it concealed his panic. Illios shook his head and just focused on the swimming. He started swimming faster as he felt the urge to reach the platform became bigger and bigger.

With the aid of Marais' magic, the group soon reached the surface.
Samael, dragging Meyla, were slightly behind, but managed to get her with him.

Not a second later than the last person had left the water started swirling even stronger.
The whalesong returned, not almost like a screech of pain.
As the adventurers stood on the platforms, exhausted and dripping with water, something started moving from the bottom of the room.

DM: All members of the group are now on the Platforms.

Ekrion looks at the statue, shocked. "PEOPLE, MOVE!" he then yells before grabbing Meyla, swinging her over his shoulder and running trough the doorway.

OOC: enjoy the ride Grey. xD

Another hit, and the some of the platforms started falling into the water.
With a loud 'BOOM' the statue of the robed man litterally exploded, and small bits of stone rained down on those still in the room.
With the statue gone, the ceiling started moving downwards, the sounds of a very old and unused mechanism resounding through the corridor.

Those running could see another room at the end of the corridor, apparently torchlit.

Those who entered the torchlit room found themselves in a grand arena.
Around them they saw countless statues of robed men like the big one in the previous room, staring down upon them from the countless stone seats.
In the other end of the room was a great stone door.

Meanwhile the remainder of the party had walked, dragged or crawled themselves out of the water-filled room, and as soon as the last one left the ceiling blocked their way back.

Back in the arena, Agron noticed some sort of mechanism in the middle of the room. It looked quite broken.

Ekrion sighed. "I don't think it'll be as simple as to just pull a lever... Not that it is ever as simple as that." he shakes his head. "I think We should prepare for the worst."

Slowly, as more people entered the room, the mechanism in the room's middle started moving.
Light started shining from it, and a low humming came from the floor.
Then there was a sound of metal hitting metal, and the process started over.
This repeated itself six times before stopping completely. At this time cracks had appeared in the floor near the mechanism.

*Meyla is now conscious*

"ASHEN!" The scream tore from Meyla's mouth with the force of an unforeseen storm. The pain in her emerald, bloodshot eyes was distressingly evident, her absence from the world of the conscious had been far from bliss and sweet dreams. Cold sweat clung to every inch of her skin, which in turn had paled several shades. Wheeling wildly about the Faerie seemed to be searching for something, or... someone.

As soon as Agron left the floor, the mechanism started again.
This time, the process continued after three tries.
A great light shone from the mechanism, and a chessboard-like patter suddenly became visible on the floor, creating zones of black and white on the floor.
With a loud creak, the great door opened.
Behind it was only darkness to be seen, but somewhere in there another mechanism started, the sounds of it's rusty gears echoing through the arena.

Slowly, something moved out of the dark.
Ekiron, Samael and Meyla immediately felt the horrible corruption surrounding it.
Meyla realised what it was faster than the others, as she recognized the taint of the Entity.
The dreaful power that could only really be described as 'Wrong'.
The thing's dark aura immediately started stabbing at the minds of the adventurers as it walked into the arena.

It was a golem. An old one.
Made from stone and iron, the spinning gears inside it visible through a hole in the chest where a human's heart would have been.
It was around two and a half meters tall, and a single, purple eye looked down upon the group from a horned stone head.

Sameal breathing began to get faster as the corrupted Golem entered "Let's see if David can over come Goliath." Sameal unsheathed his weapon preparing for a retaliation attack from it.

Before Agron could reach the golem, it made a strange gesture towards him with it's right arm.
Instantly the white field that were below Agron at the time started glowing, and a force field shot up from it to prevent Agron from leaving that exact spot, trapping him.
