OOC: I would like to know what happens if someone gets 5 uberpwns.

OOC: Well, no matter how well this turned out i really cant advise summing lightning and electricity while soaking wet and half the party being stuck in a pool of water.

 

[Wolfe]

OOC: Well, I kind of thought channelling didn't involve summoning a whole array of lightning. I did just want a tiny spark on my teeny wittle arrow. But I got much, much more!

Marais smirked, quite smug. "And that, my companions, is how you wield magic!" He said, quite exasperated and amazed.

 

[GunSlinger]

Leo glided , approaching the doorway and came to a halt beside Meyla. Leo moved closer and started to examine the the doorway.

''Bah. Silly magician.'' he muttered as he looked at Marais. Admittedly, it had been grand and spectacular, but he still thought it as risky. Ah well, it had gone well this time.. for this time.

 

[Wolfe]

Marais beamed, skipping through the water as if he was a child. "I feel kind of extraordinary." He mused, stopping at the doorway.

 

[-Peper-]

''At least we're not zapped or anything''
Agron walks around, searching through the area.

 

[Phoonix]

Ekrion jumped out of the sphere, onto the Platform. "That was interesting to say the least." he said. He then gave his attention to the door, looking for a way to open it.

 

[Grey Nightmare]

Meyla stared at the group wide-eyed, utterly amazed at the power and effects of Marais' previous casting. Eventually she shook her head and opened her mouth to say something only to find herself indefinitely speechless. In time she managed to lift her hanging jaw and merely nodded at the sodden skyelf and his praising retinue.
And I was worried about Ekrion's magic... she thought, biting her lip.

 

[Dragonson]

The door appeared to have a huge handle, but it also looked rather heavy.

 

[Phoonix]

Ekrion gripped the handle and pulled it down, pressing against the door whit his shoulder.

 

[Dragonson]

Slowly, very slowly, and with alot of noise the door opened.
Behind it was what looked like it once was a great temple, now overgrown and looking more like a jungle.
The whole place was lit by green crystals, glowing in the darkness.

 

[Fussiler1]

He covered his eyes as they weren't really used to the bright light and grumbled something, a bit annoyed. ''Ah well, at least we're in the middle of a temple which looks like a jungle. Yay, right?''

 

[Grey Nightmare]

Meyla scolwed at Illios "This isn't the time nor the place".

 

[Phoonix]

Ekrion looked at the sight, the temple once majestic and decorated whit the finest sculptures and architectural marvels. Now it was overgrown whit vines and a soft layer of moss around pillars and against the walls, here and there root's sticking from the ceiling. It was marvelous.
He let this marvelous sight go trough his mind one more time and then he stepped trough the door, into the temple.

''It is?'' he asked Meyla with his hand before his hand. ''My.. who would've thought? Such a relevation -- Illuminated, enlightened! Seriously though, I had hoped you would've learned by now that I don't care. At all.'' he finally ended before looking at Ekiron and following him through the grand door which was once the entrance to a truly magnificent temple.

 

[Grey Nightmare]

Meyla's jaw dropped for a second time as she watched Illios strut after Ekrion.
Though she dearly wished to retaliate she bit her lip, folded her arms and stormed off after the pair, face like thunder.

 

[Dragonson]

Not a second later than Ekiron had taken the first step inside the temple the sounds of fluteplay could be heard deep, deep beneath them.

A few long, sad tones, then silence. Then a few long, sad tones from somewhere else, and then silence.

 

[Phoonix]

Ekrion stopped in his tracks. "what is this sound..." he said, worriedly looking around the room.

 

[Grey Nightmare]

"Sounds like that of mourning" Meyla muttered, joining him, face still dark and dreary.

 

[Fussiler1]

''Indeed. Makes me think as if they are mourning us.'' he said, while shivering at hearing the tones. ''Anyways, we should now all be on alert.'' he simply concluded.

 

[Grey Nightmare]

"Oh so now your being serious?" Meyla scowled.
"Or is that still some kind of sick joke? Mourning us?"

 

[GunSlinger]

"Please don't fight you two. Fighting will only lead to something worse, besides, we have a task at hand and its not this." He said at the two.
"Whatever is that sound, we have to check it out." He added as he walked forward.

 

[Dragonson]

The sounds continued as Leo walked into the ruins.
Soon the sounds of flowing water could be heard nearby.

 

[Fussiler1]

''Both, but if it's really that important to you I'll let you decide.'' he replied to Meyla with a huge grin on his face before moving on, listening to the water.

 

[Dragonson]

Soon after, the group arrived at a runed doorway.
The sound of flowing water was very strong now.
None of them could see what was behind the doorway, though. Some sort of magical field that blurred their vision was covering the door.

 

[Phoonix]

Ekrion stepped closer to the door, examining it and the magical field. looking for a way to open it, perhaps even a riddle on the walls around it.

 

[Dragonson]

On close hand the magical field started to look like something else.
Like... liquid. Water.

 

[Phoonix]

Ekrion let the water run over his hand, surprised. He placed it flat on the door and tried to find some sort of handle by touch.

 

[Dragonson]

Ekiron found nothing on the floor, but as he looked he spotted something out of the corner of his eye.
Something big had just moved through his field of view inside the chamber.
No... it hadnt been 'moving', it had been swimming.

 

[Phoonix]

Ekrion looked at the 'creature' or whatever it was, examining it.

 

[Grey Nightmare]

A quiet rattle of steel accompanied the drawing of Meyla's blade.
"What is it, Ekrion?" she said tersely, unfolding her wings.

 

[GunSlinger]

"Something's here with us." Leo said, unsheathing his sword.

 

[L2love]

OOC:I assume I am back in normal mode being as I have been afk long enough from this for it to seem like it would count as 6 actions.

Sameal gripping his sword new the feeling of not being alone to well "I am prepared for battle now all we need is the opponent".

 

[Dragonson]

Suddenly, something within the room started moving very fast towards them.
It got closer and closer, and then at a high speed it passed through the barrier.
There was a splash, as the barrier was breached, and the thing flew through the air.
All the members of the group managed to dive out of the way, and the thing hit the floor.
Immediately, it started shuffling around, and gasping sounds could be heard from it.
It was... a shark.

The realisation hit the entire group now.
The room in front of them was filled with water, and something in that runed doorway was keeping their current location from being flooded entirely.

 

[-Peper-]

''Shark?''
Agron prepared for more. He unsheated his axe, holding it tight.

 

[Wolfe]

"A loathsome predator, indeed." Marais concurred, looking at Agron.

"We can't open the barrier. We don't know how big the beast is." He said, trying to think of a way of approaching the matter.

 

[Fussiler1]

''Yup. I'm with Marais.'' he said while examining the shark. He hadn't seen one.. like, ever. It was quite amazing to discover a new animal.

 

[Dragonson]

An incredibly deep sound could be heard through the water, like that of whalesong but somewhat more... like song.
Again something moved inside the water-filled room.

 

[Phoonix]

"I have a very bad feeling about this." Ekrion said peering into the water, looking for yet another sea-creature. "a room filled whit water can't be a good sign, especially if sharks start jumping out."

 

[Grey Nightmare]

"Well devised" Meyla said impatiently, sheathing her sword.
She turned to group and folded her arms, tapping her foot impatiently.
"...Well? I think it's pretty obvious what we need to do, Marais, fancy performing your little trick again? Only this time make a point to kill whatever's in these waters"

 

[Phoonix]

"meaning not us." Ekrion grunted, amused and teasing at the same time.

 

[L2love]

"How do we know it will effect it and for that matter that it is our enemy?" Sameal wondered.

 

[Grey Nightmare]

''If you want to try negotiating with them, be my guest'' Meyla chided, brandishing her sword at the 'door'.

 

[GunSlinger]

Leo chuckled softly at Meyla, saying,
"Now, now. We shouldn't argue like this. All we need to do is to find a way in there and defend ourselves."
Leo walked towards the entrance of the room and gently placed the palm of his hand on the water, slowly pushing.

 

[Wolfe]

Marais sighed. "I think perhaps we should try exploring other options before you all decide to turn to me because I certainly don't want to spend my afterlife being taunted by you all."

 

[Dragonson]

As Leo placed his hand on the water's surface it was pretty much like submerging it in the sea, except on the wrong angle.
But as soon as he touched he felt something else too. Something trying to gain access to his mind.

Being trained in the arts of psychic magic Leo had no troubles resisting it, or whether he would allow it access was his own choice.

In the background, the strange whalesong continued.

 

[-Peper-]

''How is it, Leo?''
Agron asked in a demanding tone.

 

[GunSlinger]

"Something's wrong with this." Leo said, pulling out his hand.

After a moment, he again puts his hand on the water to find find out what was doing that to him.

 

[Grey Nightmare]

"Leo! Withdraw your hand!" Meyla hissed through gritted teeth.
