Meyla's eyes widened as she saw what little effect Marais' aim had on the catapulted assailant. "WHAT ARE THEY!?" she shouted in frustration, drawing her sword and swooping past the skyelf at a ridiculous speed. She tucked the blade into her chest, folded her wings and rolled onto her back, falling straight for the creature like an organic arrow. Don't miss, don't miss, don't miss she panicked, closing her eyes.

OOC: D: drastic action...

IC: Ekriuon grunts... He looks at his arm and ponders, Sweat appearing on his forehead, his hand shaking.

This cannot be happening... I can't die like this, why... WHY! I refuse to die like this. I must regain my families honor no matter what, i will not die this meaningless death!

He grips his sword tighter "I will not die like this!" he yells. He places his sword on the arm grabbed by the magical hand, he closes his eyes, bites his teeth and cut's it off.

Ekrion falls on the ground, Blood flowing from his hand, his sword falling onto the ground, red, stained. He is exhausted, shakilly Ekrion turns on his back, pushing his arm against his clothes to keep it from bleeding out. His vision is going blurry, what is an arm compared to a life he tought... nothing, it is nothing... His eyes are heavy, his head is pounding, almost as if it want's to burst open. His vision is fading, he can feel it slipp away, conciousness is slipping away... whatever happens, I refuse to die! And then, everything is black. Around him is only void, he is in his own mind...

OOC: if it was not clear, I am unconscious and eh... cut of my arm to be free from the hand trying to drag me into the ground... yea, drastic.

Attack Aborted.

Meyla's eyes snapped open, she saw Ekrion fall from the dark hand, an arm of his own missing. She snapped her wings open, wincing as they clipped the earth and lurching back violently under the strain caused by the sudden change of direction. Pulling just short of the assailant she landed and stumbled towards the stricken Crycon.

It's too late she feared. He's bleeding to death. If only I still had my magic!

She skidded to a stop, falling to her knees and grasping the man's stump of an arm, holding it gently she swore. She needed to act fast. She let his arm fall and tore at her undergarment sleeves, ripping the soft silk into a ball which she pressed against the wound intending to stem the flow. "Don't die on us Crycon" she muttered, face passive, eyes aflame.

Pain. As Ekiron's blade cut through his own flesh, pain surged through his body.
As it moved through his system, it was mixed with various feelings. Rage, sorrow, fear... and Pride.
Then Ekiron blacked out.

The moment he did this, one of the two remaining bandaged warriors stopped everything he was doing.
He jumped backwards, and held up his hands towards his attackers to show that he surrendered.
The other one, unable to do anything, stared at Ekiron with it's eyes open wide.

Suddenly a powerfull wind passed through the clearing, and ripped a great number of leaves of a nearby oak.
The leaves whirled through the clearing, and for a second covered Ekiron fully.
As they flew away from him a transparent projection of a strange man sat next to him.
The upper part of the man's face was covered by a dragon skull, the lower part fitting the upper part quite nicely as his head apparently had the shape of that of a dragon.
His scales were black, and he was wearing a long green cloak.
His mouth slowly turned into a smile, and then another gust of wind carried more leaves through the clearing, and the man was gone.

The blood stopped streaming through the bolt of cloth Meyla was holding, and when she checked the wound had closed.
In the background the strange hand had disappeared into the ground, taking Ekiron's arm with it.
DM: Ekiron gained Unknown Feat. The feat will be revealed once he regains consciousness.

Meyla was confused, she didn't know what to feel. Relief? Guilt? Despair?
That was, without a doubt Holo Dragonson. What was he doing here? Something must be wrong indeed for him to show himself. Sighing she bowed her head and struggled to prop the giant Crycon against a tree at the edge of the glade, collapsing beside him. Her small frame and energy reserves utterly spent.

Marais frowned, disappointed. He slowly moved away. "I will scout the surrounding area."

Meyla pulled herself upright, shaking her head and blinking repeatedly in attempt to re-enter a state of alertness. She clambered to feet, fighting for balance upon the waves of tremors. What is it this time... she thought bitterly, as she drew her sword and stumbled over to Leo.

Marais knelt to the ground, his hand gently patting the flattened grass. "Does anyone else think that earthquakes like this were not present in Old Urnung? Only this mockery of it?" He stood, eyeing the bandaged warrior with resentment and caution. "You seem to know more than you're letting on. Are you a mute?"

Sameal stood after checking on Ekrion a little bit, he said "It's always the nicest places that hold the most dangerous secrets." Pulling out the statue Meyla had found he then starts to examine it.

The bandaged warrior pointed towards the center of the circle, where something was yet again breaching the surface.
The top of something, something made out of rock.
Slowly it came into view.

It was a doorway, of some kind.
Decorated with twisting stone wyrms, it appeared to lead into the darkness from which it had emerged.

Marais examined the portal, his magical tuition still fresh in his mind. "Well, it is definitely unique to this dimension. I have not seen anything like it. It must not be ignored." He turned to Illios, then to the rest of his companions. "We need to secure a foothold in the portal. Perhaps setting up a resting spot within is a better decision than letting this opportunity slip."

"If needed I shall stay behind and tend to Ekrion and make sure no one follows you through the portal." Sameal then shoved his sword into the ground and sat down upon a tree stump.

The one of the bandaged warriors that had been imprisoned fell to the ground, his legs apparently no longer being able to carry him.
The other one rushed over, and started doing what looked like putting a person's bones in place.
After a little while the one that had been imprisoned could stand up.
He reached in between his bandages and handed the other one some sort of purple stone.
Instantly a deep voice rung through the heads of the adventurers. First it spoke a few sentences that were completely gibberish, but after a short while something that the group could understand surfaced.
"Can you all hear me?"

"We are... Guardians. We were sent here to guard the temple. The temple to which you have found the entrance."
The warrior's strange voice said.
"There was... Something. Something came, corrupted the temple. Horrible things came out. We sealed the temple. We thought you were more of the... horrible creatures. Your friend's action proved that at least one of you are honorable. Very, honourable.
And it seems that our mistake was paid for in full.
"
The warrior said, sending a sad gaze toward his fallen companion.

"He would be glad to have heard that. Now I have my own question what is this snake statue?" Pulling out the snake trinket like statue Meyla found upon one of the corpses.

As Meyla thought her grim thoughts, a green light enveloped Ekiron.
Slowly, it moved across his body, leaving behind green marks.
He twitched several times, but his lips formed a smile.
Slowly, the light dissipated, having left behind runic green tatoos and a complex painting of a roaring lion around his left eye.
The moment it was completely gone, Ekiron opened his eyes.

Ekrion grunted holding his palm against his forehead... "what... happened." he then slowly said in a grim voice.
