Stealth would do them naught as the pale elves knew their location and thus could still shoot at their location and once someone got hit their sounds and the blood would allow them to know which direction they were going in and could thus continue to shoot and charge towards them.

Stealth does not make them immune. You can still hear them, smell them. See signs. Example, if a person walks in a pool of mud the foot will leave a mark in the mud. Stepping on a branch will make a sound.

And so on.

Sorry, didn't saw it...
===============
"I think somebody has--"

An arrow hit a Battlemage's back. The party turned their heads and was surprised to see the pale elves chasing their backs.

"We're being detected! Slay 'em all!"

The Crimson Vindicators pulled out their arcane rifles and began unleashing rains of arcane lasers toward the approaching pale elves. The raining rays of lasers would most likely burn them into ashes and barbeque meats within seconds. To make it harder, the Battlemages cast a volley of colorful offensive spells (hells of Flame Strikes, monsoons of Blizzards, etc.).

The overrated firework show would not make the soldiers of the underworld fret. In fact they continued to pile on, jumping over the countless burnt bodies with great agility, continuing towards the attackers like braindead zombies.

Half a dozen larger beings would start to show in the midst of the ones from the Underworld. They were bigger and heavily armored, heavily resembling a berserker. Their armor glew faintly as they continued towards their enemy with a steady pace. If the spells happened to be directed towards them their armor would take the hit without harming them too much, merely feeling the impact. A faint laugh could be heard from a few of them, apparently these were capable of some feelings.

"These creatures must have the nerves and balls of steel..."

Another Crimson Vindicator took out an aerosol can and responded, "We will have to use the awesome way..." He then tossed the aerosol can toward the clusters of pale elves, "Hey, Battlemage Akiko, you know what to do?"

A battlemage displays a wicked grin and nods in agreement. He spilled a haze of alcohol (Drunken Haze), after that he unleashed a powerful breath of hellfire toward the clusters. The flames reacted with the Drunken Haze and the bunch of pale elves quickly turned into a burning sea, and even worse, the aerosol can exploded and the fire intensifies. Those pale elves would then die within seconds.

"?"

The agents turned their head and were flabbergasted by the sight of those beings. "Will our advanced arcane rays work on 'em???"

Their armor glowed faintly as they continued towards their enemy with a steady pace. If the spells happened to be directed towards them their armor would take the hit without harming them too much, merely feeling the impact. Whether the huge fire would do anything to the unknown creatures are, well, unknown. A faint laugh could be heard from a few of them, apparently these were capable of some feelings.

Another hail of arcane laser rays begin to rain toward the approaching creatures, accompanied by colorful (elemental and arcane) spells from the Battlemages.

"We should take the factory at Jurassic First..."

"Jurassic First... I know what you mean, but it sounds like a good codename for the factory there. Before we start, have you tell Deroc about the cybernetic factories yet?"

Zealot: Negative, our communications are cut and all receiving stations' guards are all slain. For the Jurrassic..We have a base there and we can deploy an MCV for you right there at once."

From afar, Azele grasped a enchanged spyglass observing the slaughter at the beach.
She grunted in disapproval. "Expensive.."

The science-attack was highly successful and burnt dozens of bodies to ash. But in the end it was not something that impacted the overall battle numbers as they were standing right by the main gathering point of the Underworld legions which meant there was a continuous flow of soldiers, the poorest of strategists would know that the assault would be a fool's mission.

Regardless, the mages decided to try their luck. The berserker like beings showed visual signs of reacting the spells, namely they slowed down the moment they were hit, but it did not seem to damage them. If the mages would have throw fairly large boulders it would leave an equal impact.

They then suddenly enrared and rushed forward with about average running speed despite their size and armor. Agility seemed to be the main trait of the ones of the Underworld. Each of the 'berserkers' are dual wielding axes which they would use to swing and cleave their enemies were they to reach them.

The commandos turned their heads and were surprised, but they weren't worried and frightened too much. "Damn, we must lose the heat first... if not, we would be outnumbered..." the Crimson Vindicator then continues, "We will be there again when they are lazy."

"RUN!!!" The Battlemages then created solid illusions of every party member (can take and deal damage normally, but still can't cast spells). THe illusions would then approach and attack the approaching Underworld troops.

Another unnamed Battlemage casted an invisibility spell to the entire team, and they quickly ran away as quick as possible, to a quiet place such as the nearby woods.

"Shit! Monsters and creatures on our tails!" a frightened Battlemage yelled in fear, whilst forgetting that it will reveal the location of the party.

They stops for awhile, and the Battlemages all cast Haste (increase movement speed, WC2 spell) to each other and lays some mines along the way, then cast Stealth Generation again and proceeded to dash away as fast as the fittest of cheetahs.

"See? Those pitiful little traitors of the elven race... so fragile."

"Err..." battlemage Akiko then continued, "t--they-- their num-- numbers-- keeps in-in--increasing li--like-ke n-no to--tomo-- r-- rrow..."

Azele smiled slightly as she read their lips from afar. "Took them long enough." she wrinkled her nose "Still not something that we can call a victory though."
"RUN!!!" The Battlemages then created solid illusions of every party member (can take and deal damage normally, but still can't cast spells). The illusions would then approach and attack the approaching Underworld troops.
"Their words do not match their actions, did I read their lips incorrectly?"

The minions of the Underworld proved to do fairly good in melee combat against the illusions (since they could not cast spells) as they had no idea they were illusions. And their enemies made their way unnoticed - so far.
"Shit! Monsters and creatures on our tails!" a frightened Battlemage yelled in fear, whilst forgetting that it will reveal the location of the party.
Two of the 'berserkers' took note of the voice and turned their heads towards it but shook it of as they saw nothing there.

After the illusions were finished of, the troops would return back to the camp. It would take a few hours before it were refilled with fresh troops to cover their losses though. And scouts would be sent out to avoid further surprise assaults by Azele's command.

The party eventually settled at a medium-sized vacant land in the middle of the woods. At the same time, their invisibility faded.

"A nice enough place. Let's set up our camp here,"

The Crimson Vindicators and Battlemages would then build their tents, accompanied by a few watchtowers and wooden wall pillars to block out most of the entrances.

"Those race traitors may be sending some idiots to look around... we should take them out - silently..."

Another Crimson Vindicator continues, "Hey, Akiko, conjure an illusion of me and tell him to go scout around for any race traitors,"

"Yes," battlemage Akiko rose up his staff and weaved it gracefully. As he chanted, a solid illusion of a Crimson Vindicator materialized in front of them. The illusion would then go outside and look around for the Underworld scouts and locate any Underworld bases. He would assassinate any lone Underworld pale elves on his way, and he would also look for the location of the Underworld Gateway.

An illusion would prove to be a failure as a mage could not even begin to compare to a professional scout's experience and skill. His illusion even less so. As it made it's way back it would get an arrow or two without even know what hit it unless it had some abnormal trick up its sleeve.

Figuring out where the gateway's location is would not be too difficult though seeing as the troops on the shore all came by boats.

Just for your information, the illusion is not of the battlemage, but of a Crimson Vindicator.
==========================================
The illusion (of the Crimson Vindicator) took moderate damage but still he was able to withstand it.

Though illusions cannot cast spells, they still do incorporate passive abilities and potentials from their original copy. Judging by the direction the arrow comes from, he turned his head and shoot five rays of arcane lasers around that direction.

He then proceeds to run around aimlessly, and he would more likely to go to a brighter and shinier place, due to his belief that important locations or objects are usually highlighted. His eyes are sharp and can detect even the slightest difference in brightness.

Mirror Image copy the caster, thus the abilities are the same.

edit: Wand of illusion does not copy stats but no abilities.
Still using ingame logic is not really how you roleplay because gameplay takes priority over lore/logic.

In fact it would be insanely absurd no mater how you see it, gotta copy the enemy's commander to know exactly how she/he thinks and thus you can act against everything ahead of time.
What about copying the enemy king and automatically know information regarding all the high ranked nobles, how many soldiers he command, where he thinks he is the weakest etc.

Wanna learn all the powerful spells of the enemy? No problem, create an illusion of their spellcasters and have them tell you how because they have the same knowledge.

@Chaosy: When I posted, your post wasn't edited...
And I'm sorry if you feel unhappy about it.

But they still don't share all the knowledge or *active* spells... the illusion can be semi-autonomous, and passive abilities don't equal to active spells.

How about just say that the Battlemage transferred control to the Crimson Vindicator?

Gayvin: "Alright, but should we leave this place completely or keep some defenses here?"

Look, your spy can look at my camps until their eyes bleed. I don't really care about giving that info away.

But it's about the principle, copying someone else in anything but appearance is OP.

Knowledge about how to use the spells. You may say that the spells do no damage but he/she still knows how to use them. Which means you can steal enemy spells and knowledge in general.

Rest in peace private thoughts and secrets in general.

@Chaosy: Hmm... To prevent more troubles and debates, let's just make that illusion fades away in peace...
=======================================
All of a sudden, the illusion suddenly disappears into nothingness
(due to some outside forces and interventions)
, never to be seen again.

"Oh dammit, the illusion fades from existence all of a sudden..."

Another Battlemage coughed and continues, "We will have to do it ourselves... or ask Mistress Azlariah for some reinforcements."
=======================================
"Orpheus will remain here.." Zealot "And Gauge is on his way.."
A gigantic way gate opened near the Base.
"Waygate activated.." Zealot

Gayvin: "Hmm... I'll let some of my defenses stay here, though most of my forces would be participating in this operation."
Gayvin: "I think it's time now... Let's rock!"

Three Pherithian MCVs, escorted by squads of Plasma Cadres and Rocket Infantries along with battalions of Tick Tanks, set out toward the Waygate. A few Falcon Prism Hovercrafts would also be part of the starting units as well.

The units were warped to a point in the desert.
"Hold up, you are entering warzone.." Zealot
A transmission came
"This is Commander Gauge of Shadowridge, you must be Gavyin? We are nprth of your position and is under seige, we need reinforcements. They have me surrounded!"

@Chaosy: Let's just go by the good ol' Scout Owls...
==============================
A battlemage summons a fast, transparent (while having outlines glowing in white) Scout Owl with great eyesight. The owl is then sent to fly around to look for any objects or points of interest, however the owl flies in a low altitude to avoid detection. When there are any enemies though, the owl will fly much higher and moves around to evade any incoming projectiles.

"This is Commander Gauge of Shadowridge, you must be Gavyin? We are north of your position and is under siege, we need reinforcements. They have me surrounded!"

Gayvin: "Ah yes, but my starting units are a bit too few. Oh wait, I can call in my spacecrafts back there..."

Five squadrons of Fleenzub Fighters and Fleenzub Bombers blinked toward Gauge's base and begin bombarding the clusters of enemies with colorful and powerful energyballs.

While Gayvin begins deploying his three MCVs (but each one is a bit far away from each other) and begin building three bases, with the center base being more focused and primary... He would first focus on building formidable walls and defenses while training infantries and basic war vehicles.

"Thank you! I thought i was toast!" cried Gauge.
"CommanderGauge of Shadowridge Ordo Malleus or Highguard, pleasure tp meet you" Gauge introduced "Lets catch up if we get out of this alive, ok?"
Gauge starts warping in Fel Reavers IIs, Shadowridge Zealots, Myrimdons, Demolitioneers, Sharpshooter and ATAMW s(All Terrain Attack and Mobile Warper).

"If i can recall, there is those Shiva Temples , actually just crashed legion's demonairships, around here, they provide a lot of power, we should capture it, right nlw the animatronics have 2, 1 is guarded by renegade demons."Gauge said "It will provide a lot of power for us. I may ned it for more Gantaries so that i can warp in Fel Reavers and Megalith Experimental Assualt Bots"

Animatronic Aquala Skystations and Harbringer Heavy Bombers approaches Gayvin's base.

As the Underworld scouts were instructed to scout for enemies and not owls they would not even bother looking at the owl. Due them lacking the ability to make choices unless they were instructed to act themselves.

The land close to the shore would not have anything out of the ordinary, a few hundred meters of wood stretched out at the beach's inner edge. The woods were not some kind of unfriendly jungle and would be easy to wander in, in the end it was just a bunch of fairly well spread trees.

The boats continued to arrive like there was no end. Clearly the number of troops were the main and perhaps only advantage the pale elves had.
The beach started to be too small for the troops and they would be forced to expand soon, perhaps that would be an opportunity.

______________

Meanwhile elsewhere.
"Do you have any idea of where to look, brother?"
"Nope."
"Me neither, so we're just going to wander around for months and months and hope to find their base of operations by luck?"
"If you have any better idea, 'Queen', I am all ears."
"Not really.. can't we just you know.. maybe ask someone?!"
"Who do you think we are? Some old geezers who can't find their way to the local market on her own?"
"Lone, say something..?"
"Wise man says, trying to convince Requiem is a fool's errand."
".... fine.. we'll ask for some god damn directions. Though I would find their lands soon on my own anyway."
"Sure.. how do we contact Aedari regarding the location when we find it anyway?"
"I wouldn't be surprised if she's already in the capital. That whore is crazy but she knows how to assassinate and all that comes with it."
"Don't call her that.."
"Brother got a point actually."
"Oh please, Queen. Aedari got a whole farm of sheeps missing. To her credit she looks good though."
(whisper)"Brother do realize that Aedari is just as fake as the rest of us, right?"
(whisper)"Men tend to not care, Queen."

The animatronics fled as the bombers came.
Gayvin giggled, "Cowards..."

"Thank you! I thought I was toast!" cried Gauge.
"Commander Gauge of Shadowridge Ordo Malleus or Highguard, pleasure to meet you" Gauge introduced himself to Gayvin.

"I am Gayvin, one of the powerful Commanders of Pherith Empire, nice to meet you,"

"Let's catch up if we get out of this alive, ok?"
"Kay!"

Gauge starts warping in Fel Reavers IIs, Shadowridge Zealots, Myrmidons, Demolitioneers, Sharpshooter and ATAMWs (All Terrain Attack and Mobile Warper).

"If I can recall, there are those Shiva Temples, actually just crashed legion's demon airships, around here, they provide a lot of power, we should capture it, right now the animatronics have 2, 1 is guarded by renegade demons," Gauge said. "It will provide a lot of power for us. I may need it for more Gantaries so that i can warp in Fel Reavers and Megalith Experimental Assualt Bots"

"Okay, but--"

Pherithian EVA: "WARNING -- Enemy Units Approaching!"
Animatronic Aquala Skystations and Harbinger Heavy Bombers approaches Gayvin's base.

"ANTI-AIR UNITS!!!"

All the Rocket Infantries scattered themselves and begin shooting at the approaching animatronic air giants (They will move away from any approaching bombs). Half of a dozen of the SAM Sites already there shoots their missiles toward the heavy animatronic air units, while some moving Stryker IFVs and Teratorns also unleashed their barrages of missiles and rays toward the approaching units.

Gayvin quickly trained more Stryker IFVs and Rocket Infantries to deal with the animatronic air giants, and constructed more SAM Sites as an added defense.

Due to this, the owl continues to fly and scout...

The land close to the shore would not have anything out of the ordinary, a few hundred meters of wood stretched out at the beach's inner edge. The woods were not some kind of unfriendly jungle and would be easy to wander in, in the end it was just a bunch of fairly well spread trees.

Suddenly, the Battlemages began to realize something. "All of those race traitors came from the shores, right?" A Crimson Vindicator replies, "I think we should send another owl to scout beyond the shores..."

And so, another Scout Owl was summoned to look for any hidden things or points of interest beyond the body of waters.

The boats continued to arrive like there was no end. Clearly the number of troops were the main and perhaps only advantage the pale elves had.
The beach started to be too small for the troops and they would be forced to expand soon, perhaps that would be an opportunity.

Battlemage Akiko: "Oh look, the shore is beginning to be overcrowded by those race traitors!"

And so Akiko conjured a vision of the second owl's eyes.

"If we could locate their shipyards and destroy them along with all the transport ships, we could stop the flow of enemy reinforcements." a mysterious, dark-pitched voice (sounds like this) echoed from their suit gadgets. Clearly it was none other than the "omnipresent" Faceless Cyborg -- Deldrach.

"Deldrach? I thought communications were cut?"

"Don't worry, servants of Azlariah. I will bring in some reinforcements to assist you in your mission, ETA 10 Minutes."

The timer on their futuristic watches began to tick......

The Skystations released tons of tonadoes towards Gavyin's base while Harbringers unload their payloads. Then they hightail back to their base but many were shot down. Skystations also were broken to peices by heavy anti air and none made it out alive.

By following the flow of boats the owl would find a shipwreck which on closer inspection would contain the two unguarded gateways.
Though troops would occasionally come out from the iron gateway and go down to the boats which was used to rotate the troops there were no shipyard to be seen. They were likely originally crafted somewhere inside the Underworld and carried out to the water.

Rather than moving all the forces to an larger area they would start to cut down the trees to make room for more camps. This solution would just last a few days at the rate the troops arrived though.

"Looks like they have no shipyards or anything significant, but two unchecked gateways within a huge shipwreck..." a Battlemage commented as he sees through the conjured vision.

Rather than moving all the forces to an larger area they would start to cut down the trees to make room for more camps. This solution would just last a few days at the rate the troops arrived though.

Deldrach: "Warning, the enemies are beginning to advance toward the forest. Stay alert!"

"We couldn't handle so many of these garbages all at once! It would be worse if our limited Battlemages have fallen..." a Crimson Vindicator said. The Crimson Vindicator suddenly looks horny and adds, "But... in the name of our beautiful and supreme Empress Azlariah (just an informal title to her by her most devoted
and hormonal
Crimson Vindicators)
"

"Reinforcements have arrived!"

Several Subterranean APCs surfaced themselves before the anxious team of Crimson Vindicators and Battlemages. The Subterranean APCs then unloaded some regular Flardyrn Vindicators along with several Plasma Cadres and Rocket Infantries.

All of a sudden, a few glowing green runes began to show up on the ground besides the Subterranean APCs. The air is filled with sinister, dark auras of terror as some monstrous, huge Faceless Deathbringers rose up from the runic circles.

Deldrach: "Behold, the Faceless Deathbringers! These cunning, tough creatures are Mistress Azlariah's favored pets. They should serve us well."

All those Flardyrn Vindicators and Battlemages began to cheer joyfully for their beloved mistress Azlariah Sunfeather, however the Plasma Cadres and Rocket Infantries shied away in utter disgust and horror.

(to be expanded)
======================
Though Gayvin did manage to crush the massive air force of the animatronics, his army suffered a huge loss and he needs quite a long time to recover from the defensive battle. Dozens of Rocket Infantries have been sacrificed, while a good eleven Stryker IFVs have been reduced to scrap metals during the defense.

"Damn... now I must expand our mining operations nearby, just not too far..." Gayvin uttered to no one in particular.

"How much of the shore is used as of now"
"Roughly 90%, commander. We're cutting down the forest for now though."
"Which means we have to invade with what we have, or move our temporary camp elsewhere, huh? Fill the shore and the forest to the brink, then stop the reinforcing. My hands are tied for now anyway.."
"Yes, commander."

"Stop teasing me already."
"Should we head to the capital then?"
"Actually.. I have a feeling we've been there before.."
"I have the same feeling lingering.. Lone?"
"Same.."
"Did master remove our memories?"
"If so she did a sloppy job."
"Don't insult master."

"We're supposed to find out the best place for the invasion right? Going into the capital will be disobeying orders."
"Not at all. We'll wear sheep's clothing and sneak about, eventually we'll get information, rumors about the country's state and the like."

A transmission entered Gavyin's and Gauge's command screen. It was the traitor pherith soldier from the intercepted transmission.

"Greetings heretic from the Marked of Purple Man. Still serving the A**hole Deroc ehh? Gavyin? Allow me to introduce myself. I am Commander Karin, former Captain of the Damned Pherith Empire. I am here to crush you today.."

His cyborg face was replaced with hundreds of cyborgnized pherith troops, civilians(many humans, some orcs, some elves and a couple of Faceless Ones).

"As you can see, you have no way of winning against us..Retreat before we slaughter you all!"

"Boy! Wait till I"Gauge said and turned to Gavyin "Reserve a spot in one of your penal squads, eh?" Gauge pings 3 locations on Gavyin's radar. "If we can capture those temples, we can get quite a lot of power and for that we have the guys for the job!" A transport unloads 3 MPC(Mobile Power Converter). Gauge smiles "These guys when unpacked can convert power into a steady flow of resources by warping them in".(Converts them to Gavyin's command) "Use them well!"

MPC quotes:
Select: Yes.. Grand Excalted Master?
What is your wish?
Quiet down! Its Command!
MPC reporting!
Unpack: That seems like a nice spot
Hope you have power, err.. sir.
Lets set up camp
Move: Roger!
Move!
Driver, get us over there!
(Sometimes If commanded to move to another location while moving) You furbrained a**hole! I said there! Not there!*Driver's voice* But you said there!

Pack: GETTA READY FUR MOVIN'
Its time to move!
Stop sleeping driver! We are leaving!

(Hope u have fun with the quotes)

@Leo: The MPC quotes has just made my day...

Also, Faceless Ones would still retain their free will even after being converted to cyborg, unless you remove their original brains and replace 'em with artificial ones...

"Blasphemy! What a fuckin' traitor!!!" Gayvin screamed in rage while giving Karin a good middle-finger.

His cyborg face was replaced with hundreds of cybernetized Pherithian troops traitors, civilians (many humans, some orcs, some elves and a couple of Faceless Ones who got their brains replaced with artificial ones).

"As you can see, you have no way of winning against us... Retreat before we slaughter you all!"

"Huh, really? Let's see who shall laugh till the very end, heretic!"

"Ahh... I must take some of these temples and use them... We won't have to worry about limited resources again." Gayvin commented to no one in particular.

Gayvin then prepares his force quickly, to take care of the renegade demons guarding the first Temple and capture it.

==============================================
@Leo: How strong are those renegade demons guarding the first Temple?
==============================================
Due to the limited space available in the existing Subterranean APCs, they would drill back and forth transporting about 20 infantries in total (not to mention that one Faceless Deathbringer will occupy three spaces at once) toward the island near (or containing) the shipwreck.
*
Just as the disguised pale elves are spying in New Malacca...

Several barrages of bullets and rockets rained from behind their backs, catching them in surprise. An aura of menace was felt as a few tough figures surrounded them. The figures appeared to be bloodthirsty orcs in thick enough spacesuits and stared at them in a creepy, horny way, aiming their heavy rifles at the trio. Rocksoul barbarians in space orcs.

"Hahahahaha... weak yet nutritious Flardyrn elves volunteer to feed and sastify us... Lok'tar!!!"

A Rocket Hunter glares at one of the Underworld spies and snarled, "You are all going to die... and feed us! Me hungry! We hungry! We need fun! We need nutritions and meatzzz!"

(How would they react?)

Gayvin sends a small and insignificant Terror Drone (it has great sight range) to see who are guarding the Shiva Temple. Twenty felguards, two dreadlords and a deactivated fel reaver, along with four Ganarg Engineers.

"Those engineers can pilot that huge robot... we must take them out all a t once with Snipers..."

Gayvin releases four Snipers. The snipers creep to well hidden locations and aimed at the Ganarg Engineers. "Go!" The snipers all pull the trigger at once, most likely bringing the Ganarg Engineers to death before they could do anything or two.

Meanwhile, the Snipers continued to snipe the felguards and the two dreadlords.

"Ready? Go!"

Some motorized sounds were heard in the background, and some black smoke was seen as well. A large battalion of 20 Tick Tanks along with a group of 30 Light Infantries and 15 Plasma Cadres, marched toward the guarding demons with high morale. The Tick Tanks arranged themselves in a formation and deployed into immobile yet tough and fortified turrets, and began unleashing their wrath on the felguards and dreadlords. The accompanying Light Infantries and Plasma Cadres assisted the Tick Tanks in taking out the renegade demons by firing their weapons at 'em.

Meanwhile, a Subterranean APC surfaced beside the Fel Reaver and Shiva Temple. Five Engineers came out and rushed to capture the Fel Reaver and the Shiva Temple.

(3 toward Fel Reaver, 2 toward Shiva Temple, but if Fel Reaver is captured, the 2 other engineers would go for the Shiva Temple)
