1) Make sure you have at least the 1.27 patch installed. The campaign WILL NOT WORK properly without it.
Specifically, Chapter Three will not load at all.
2) Download the Rise of the Blood Elves Intro cinematic and extract into your Warcraft III/Movies folder.
LINK TO THE CINEMATIC FILE
3) Download the campaign and place into your Warcraft III/Campaigns folder, or My Documents/Warcraft 3/Campaigns
if you have the 1.28 patch.
4) Play the campaign!

In a daring campaign against the Scourge in Northrend, Illidan faced off against the death
knight Arthas in an attempt to destroy the Frozen Throne. However, Arthas defeated Illidan and left him
wounded in the snow, allowing Illidan to witness the creation of the new Lich King.

Kael'thas Sunstrider and Lady Vashj, realising their defeat, brought Illidan with them as they fled back to
Outland. Seeing their master's ugly wounds, they decide to bring him back to the Hellfire Citadel so that
he may recover... but, unbeknownst to them, Outland was in a state of a minor civil war.

Soon after that, tensions rise in the blood elven society as the Grand Magistrix Alessandra Katryne
proposes a dangerous idea: reclamation of their homeland, Quel'Thalas.

In the first chapter, after the first group of demons, player can place Kael'thas near the abyss and cast Flamestrike that can touch Succubus. After that the Succubus and Eredar go south, aggro an Archer from the scripted group. The Eredar and Succubus go back but the Archer aggroes another group of demons which kill her, Priest and Swordsman.
My suggestion is to move Succubus some a bit to the west.

Also, when the player engages dragons to rescue the Blood Elves and during the cinematic presses Esc, there is a bug that one Archer remains neutral and can't be controlled.

P.S. Maybe you will rename Fel Orc to Garkh'an or whatever that Fel Blademaster's name is? Those words are uttered by him.
And about Kael's reply to the Ranger. IMHO, it better suits Lady Vashj, whil Kael, on the other hand, can urge her to rescue those Elves. It could better explain two ways to the player.

Why would anyone even cast Flamestrike there? Though I may move it, just to prevent that.

Huh, thanks for mentioning that. I'll fix it.

Some hints about Chapter 2: The Weak Perish.
Those clans and their demands are as following.
Fireblade (dark green, SW): 950 gold, 500 wood
Blackaxe (brown, SE): 750 gold, Cloak of Flames
Ragebeast (green, NW): 500 gold, alliance with Blackaxe
Burning Fire (yellow, NE): Orb of Future (in Blackaxe's Stronghold)
You can be allied with up to 3 clans at a time, at least 1 will make war on you.
Fireblade is the weakest one and isn't tied to any other clan. It can be converted first and very easily.
ALL OF THEM ARE NEUTRAL at the beginning.
As for me, I went through the base of the Burning Fire to kill a Doomguard and bring Cloak of Flames to the Blackaxe base. So I get 2 clans.
Then there are two ways. First, ally with the Ragebeast but you get the Burning Fire as an enemy. Second, destroy Blackaxe's Stronghold; it won't cancel the alliance but the Ragebeast will declare a war on you. Still, you take Orb of Future from the Stronghold and convert the strongest of them all Burning Fire clan.

P.S. Fireblade and Ragebeast have no heroes, Blackaxe and Burning Fire have Fel Blademasters lvl 3 and 5 respectively.

I played the original till the end... I kinda liked it... the fact that one of them needed to become the new lech king so that the undead don't go all demolision ....so I'm looking forward to the latest version

########

I don't like the new version. After playing it for an half hour I won the game, I cheated along the way. This version is too easy at points, then at other points it's impossible even when you activate greedisgood or warpten... I mean a game shouldn't be so hard as to have hundreds of units being spawned instantly, sent into battle and die over and over for 30 whole minutes.

The story line changes are ok, at points, but I kinda miss some of the last version... the undead part in the story line is kinda missing if you consider the last version... well that's just my opinion... there's no way I'm ever playing this game again, and no way are you going to update considering all the work you have already put in... well cheers, hopefully all your future works will be way better

In fact, I haven't finished this campaign yet. Back in December I played it till Chapter 9: An Unholly Alliance which was bugged and I couldn't complete the first quest. With Liadrin I walked through the whole map and helped the rebels kill all Kael'thas' forces. I defeated those demons after which a scripted movie happened (and enemy Kael'thas teleported to me). I think, in this chapter I used 'iseedeadpeople' for the first time because there had been no reason for cheats before. Chapter 8: War on Silvermoon was bugged so the southern Scourge base didn't attack me, but even in v.1.0 it was too easy for me. In Chapter 5: Amplification defending the base on three fronts was challenging but fun. In Chapter 2: The Weak Perish I enjoyed to create those alliances and defend Fel Orc bases.

I don't understand people saying this campaign is too hard. It isn't. Just l2p.

About Undead forces. This campaign is about Blood Elves. I play it because of this fact. The Forsaken's role in helping the Sin'dorei is told well. If you want the Undead, play Curse of the Forsaken. In future. there will be update for it to v.2.0.

Just wanted to point a bug out in Ch.2.

When I went to the brown fel orc base and destroyed their stronghold to get the orb for the yellow fel orcs, neither brown nor green turned on me and they stayed neutral.

Also, CoTF 2.0 is your next map right? Was wondering if by the trail of the Scourge being the enemy in each one if your planning an Illidan/Naga campaign about him fighting the Scourge from his pov or something of the sort? Anyway wonderful redux of RoTBE.

Was it regular Horde orcs, or fel orcs? Or no specification? Id like to see more of Kargath personally since he was one of my favorite chieftans from the books.

That's odd, never heard of that bug before. But I'll check it out.

And yes, CotF 2.0 is next, but I don't have plans for an Illidan campaign.

And I'm not sure what exactly do you mean by the last question? My next campaign? It probably won't be about orcs.

Maybe I'm wrong.

But I noticed that if you don't go for the allies for a while that they switch over to the enemy. Maybe its the same with the ones that stayed neutral.

If it is a bug, the Work-around is to start the mission and go for allies right away.

Oh well, guess you finished it anyway :)

Love the work you put to the cinematics as well as some well rounded models used. Story was quite nice without no clear "main character" i was always quite surprised about what was going to happen next.

The mission designs were really nice with cool characters. But the gameplay was very shaky for me, it was too easy. I could literally finish the campaign in 2 days of time with not spending hardcore time. I think this campaign could've had hard mode for people who like to spend time to figure out how to beat missions. Especially those "defend xx minute time until y" missions should've been harder as the time goes on. Once i hold off early attacks and establish my base, there was no way i could've gotten overrun unless i go afk or something.
There was a chapter with 40000 gold available to me yet i only end up spending 2k which was shocking.
The dungeon chapter was made really nice dark atmosphere, scary looking monsters except they were too weak. After beating the mission i reloaded and tried to complete everything without using any spells of my heroes, and it was still easy enough. With 3 heroes 12 spellls available to me those monsters in dungeon never stood chance against me

Sorry about some misspell and tough words, just letting you know how i felt about it. Spending more time trying to beat chapters grows on me, somehow i felt everything went too fast.

The campaign was really well made, good luck on your next project

Glad you liked it campaign! And I've never heard anyone say it should have been harder. Some people complained it was too hard, I even got insulted for it being hard!

Well if you remember my review, I stated that some might find it too easy but in the same way the original Warcraft 3 Campaigns were too easy.

I actually liked it for the fact that fights did not drag on endlessly especially in the dungeons. In my opinion you found the right balance between challenge and fun for most players.

You COULD take the campaign and make a "hardcore edition" if more voices wishing for a harder challenge come up. I'd rather see you do something new and leave the campaign as it is.

Yeah, I wanted to make it hard, but not too hard so that it's not enjoyable. And yeah, I'm not coming back to this campaign anymore, aside from just fixing bugs.

Save shortly before you complete the sidequest.
If they don't build base, re-load.
They will build base, but if you have the same problem as I had, they won't come out to fight except if the enemy comes to them. They are way too defensive for this scenario.

They actually do attack if they work correctly. I have absolutely no idea what causes that bug or how to fix it, so I just kind of gave up on it, lol.

When this campaign was released the draenei have worked perfect xD

In some cases, yes, but the majority of testers reported this bug and tomoraider tried to fix it in the latest update February, 15. Correct me if I'm wrong.
